10 Factors Google and Yahoo Consider For a Top Search Engine Ranking

Want to get into the top 5 of either Google or Yahoo? Make
sure your website contains the top 10 factors for deciding
a top search engine ranking.

It does not matter if you have the cure for cancer, if
nobody knows about it you are not going to make any money.
A top search engine ranking in either Google or Yahoo is
the surest way for buyers to find your products so you can
become a wealthy marketer. Google and Yahoo are responsible
for about 80% of all search engine traffic in the world.

Make sure your online business or website contains these
top 10 factors used for determining sites with a top 5
search engine ranking in Google and Yahoo.

Factor #1: Number of Quality Sites that Link to Yours

Google and Yahoo put a lot of significance on how many
quality sites link back to yours with a page rank of at
least 4 and above. This is probably the most important
factor when considering a top search engine ranking.

When search engines see lots of important sites link back
to yours it must mean that your site is also pretty
important.

Remember the purpose of the internet is to provide
information back to the end user. As someone is conducting
research on the World Wide Web, sites must also participate
and flow and connect to other related sites allowing those
searching for your keyword terms various paths to the
information being inquired.

Factor #2: Number of Pages Your Website Has

A website with less than 50 pages is really going to
struggle to get a top search engine ranking unless it has
more quality back links coming into it than their
competitors.

Factor #3: Keywords in Your Title Tag

Google and Yahoo look to see if your keywords are contained
in your page title and description. Make sure your keywords
are also listed within your heading and subheading tags.

Factor #4: Keywords Showing in Links

Keywords that are highlighted within a link are considered
more significant than those not at all highlighted within a
link.

Factor #5: Keywords in Bold

Likewise words in bold are also considered more important
than those not in bold.

Factor #6: Keywords in URL

Websites that are in less competitive markets that contain
the keywords within their URL are considered more important
than those sites that respectivley do not.

Also keywords in the URL that come before unrelated words
are considered better than a URL that follows an unrelated
word within the URL. For example if your keyword is
televisions, a URL with 'televisions' followed by unrelated
words such as your name 'Mike' is better than putting your
name 'Mike' before 'televisions.'

Factor #7: More Significance Given to First 25 Words on Page

The first 25 words of each page are given more weight than
all other words on the page. Make sure your keywords are in
the first few words of your page. However, if you try and
just list the same word or phrase 25 times repeatedly
Google and Yahoo will penalize you.

Factor #8: Greater Than 300 Words on Your Homepage

Make sure you have at least 300 or more words on your
homepage.

Factor #9: Keyword Density

Keyword density is not as important as it once was in the
past but it still is an important factor. In order to get a
top 5 search engine ranking look at your competitors sites
and compare the density of their sites to yours and try and
match their density.

Factor #10: Page Rank

Want to find out the page rank of your website or the page
rank of another site? Download the Google toolbar and make
sure the page rank indicator is activated. One major factor
in determining your page rank is the first factor listed in
this article. Quality back links are the most important
factor for formulating your page rank.

A top search engine ranking in Google and Yahoo is decided
most often by the combination of these 10 factors. If you
want to get into the top 5 of the two most important search
engines than make sure your website applies these major
search engine ranking factors.

family you must learn how to enjoy this time without worry
or anxiety. It is important for a home business to have the
right attitude when maintaining the company and personal

Every person may feel that they are not putting enough time
into this business. They may procrastinate with web site
designing or advertising to gain more web site traffic.
They may have hired some employees to begin this venture.
The workers can take charge or certain situations so a
person can relax more and spend time with his/her family.

You must learn how to balance work and home life to keep
everyone happy and so the home business experience can be
an enjoyable one. If you become angry because of stress for
no apparent reason, the family and the employees will be
unhappy. If you can keep a level head and learn to unwind,
the home business will be more successful. It is important
to keep an eye on the workers to see that they are
completing their jobs; however you need not to become angry
at the littlest problem or issue. These things happen
during the beginning for a home business. Especially when
this is the first time you are trying to accomplish this
type of goal. It does not help and it will only hurt to be

assistance of professional press release personnel or

been haunting you. It is difficult to complete a home
business from beginning to end. Nevertheless, this will be
worth the time and energy in the long run.

how to accomplish things more quickly. You will be able to
complete projects on time and fully obtain a well-oiled
home business venture. Web site designing and web site
traffic are both important aspects of this type of
endeavor. If you are learning how to accomplish both, the
stress levels may rise. It is vital that you do not try to
do too much and you have to be willing to hire employees if
necessary.

The right attitude will successfully complete the home
business project. If you are happy and vigorous, the
employees and family will enjoy being around you, and your
home business will be successful.

Five Key Steps In Online Business Planning

It rates easier than ever to start a new business on the
Internet.

Never before have the opportunities been more available,
the tools cheaper, or the prospects of success more likely.

Whether you're a seasoned veteran looking to expand an
existing online business, a casual dabbler looking for a
part-time income, or an offline professional wanting to
expand your market online, the following five key steps
will help you reach your goals.

Key # 1: Define Your "Target"

Clearly list and explain what you want to accomplish in
your web site business.

We all think about what we want to get or accomplish in
life and our job.

But did you ever list it specifically in terms of money,
traffic to a web site, or more sales online?

This principle and simple activity applies to an ebook, a
new website, an ezine or any other business goal.

Defining a clear target will give your conscious and sub
conscious mind something definite to shoot for.

Examples include: the number of subscribers to your ezine;
sales per day on your website; pages written in an ebook;
new advertising sources found; number of affiliates
recruited and more.

Key # 2: Define the Cost"

You must "define the cost" in terms of the tools,
resources, and people you need to reach your online
business target, no matter what type of business you
operate.

How much will it cost in time per hour, day, week and month
for all of the items?

Also, how much will it cost in terms of money to operate
the business, buy traffic, pay for hosting, design and more.

Sit down and map out the costs before throwing open your
doors (or wallet) so you don't get hit with any nasty
surprises.

Key # 3: "Make a List"

To create a real business that can be systematized, you
must list off every single thing or element connected with
your business, from the first idea to making daily deposits
into the bank.

You may not know how they'll get done right now, but you
must recognize that eventually these items must get done.

You can easily come up with a fairly comprehensive list by
brainstorming just to get them down on paper.

Then, when you think you thought of everything, let someone
else take a look and poke holes in your list with all kinds
of additions and questions.

Key # 4: "Prioritize"

Here you must list all the elements you planned in number 3
in the exact order of how you should complete them.

Car makers must build in a planned order or the finished
product won't work.

Once you sketch out your complete plan, let someone else
take a look to see if you forgot a step.

In fact, they might point out that you forgot to tighten
the lug nuts and the wheels fell off in the dealership!

Key # 5: "One Step At A Time"

Most people want it all and they want it now!

Unfortunately, the real world doesn't work that way.

Whether you do all the work yourself, outsource the job, or
a combination of the two, everything must get done in the
correct order in the correct way.

My motto reads, "Multi Tasking = Inefficiency.

Don't try to do two different jobs at the same time, you'll
most likely screw up both and waste time and money doing
them a second time.

Doing web site copy and email don't mix, auto responder
messages and voice mail don't mix.

So pass each milestone on your roadmap and get things done
properly and in sequence.

Launching an efficient and effective online business is not
difficult.

It just requires careful planning, step-by-step execution,
and attention to detail in order to greatly increase your
chances of success.

Top 10 Ways to Commit Marketing Suicide on Myspace

More and more marketers are beginning to use social
networking sites such as MySpace as one of their
advertising pillars. The only problem is the 90% of these
people don't have a clue how to effectively market using
these sites. If done right Myspace can be a wonderful way
to grow your business. If you have no clue what you're
doing, it's a great way to commit marketing suicide. Here
are the top 10 ways to guarantee your failure on MySpace.

1.) Not taking the time to set your page up so that it
is easy to read and is appealing to your visitors. If your
page is not easy to read no one will take the time to read
it. Hint: Paragraphs People.

2.) Putting a picture of anything but yourself as your
profile picture Please don't put a picture of your
product or a logo of your company as your main picture.
People don't care what your product looks like, they're
looking to put a face to the name, and if you don't give
them that face, they'll go to someone else who does.

3.) Choosing a boring picture of yourself as your main
picture. What is the first thing your visitor is going to
see before they even make the decision to view your
profile? Your picture must speak for you and compel them to
click on it to find out more about you.

4.) Using your about me section to talk about anything
other than yourself. Just remember that people don't care
how much you know until they know how much you care.

5.) Branding your Company instead of yourself. Remember,
people only join and buy from people that they know, like
and trust. They are looking for a way to relate to you.

6.) Having only one thing to offer your visitor,
especially if that one thing is a business opportunity.
Most people are already in a program and aren't looking to
join another one. If your still barking your MLM to the
world you heading for the biggest dead end you've ever seen.

7.) Pitching your friends list on your program or
product without first building a relationship with them.
They will say no every time. How many people have you had
say yes? Be honest.

8.) Posting money making opportunity bulletins that
talk about how much money they can make by joining your
opportunity and expecting them to actually get read. You
must offer valuable information to people. Once again,
most people are not looking to quit their program and join
yours.

9.) Using stock emails that were given to you by your
company in your messages to your friends. Everyone has
already gotten that same email at least twice from the
other people who think that those emails work.

10.) Not taking the time to learn the communications
skills that are needed to successfully use MySpace as a
marketing tool. The only thing that stands between you and
everything you want is your ability to communicate and to
influence other people. The keyword here is content.

You can have the prettiest MySpace page, the biggest
friends list, all the fancy tools, but if you can't
communicate, you have no content (relevant content) and you
don't have the right Mindset, all bets are off.

The Importance of Residual Income

What IS residual income, and what makes it so special?

Residual Income (also known as passive or recurring income)
is income that you receive continuously for work that you
did once.

Let's repeat...

Residual Income (also known as passive or recurring income)
is income that you receive continuously for work that you
did once.

The great thing about residual income is that it's YOURS.
You can get a regular check every week or month once a
solid foundation is built and you can be wasting the day on
a beach or somewhere exotic, skiing down a mountain in
Europe, sailing in the Caribbean, traveling around the US
in your new camper, or just sitting at home enjoying your
freedom with your family!

Imagine, if you will, a weekly check that comes in like
clockwork. What would this mean to you and those you love?
Let's compare that to a day JOB, which is also called,
"Linear," Income, or a payment that you receive from going
in to a place of business day-after-day, week-after-week,
year-after-year and giving your employer much of your time
and efforts. You receive your check on payday in the form
of wages and/or commissions while paying the most taxes the
law will allow.

Having a "regular" day job or getting paid by commission is
still a "one-shot-deal." In other words, if you quit or
get fired, that check stops immediately and you are out
looking for another job so you don't end up on the street.
It is a sad fact that many people are ONE PAYCHECK away
from being homeless!!! This is what living
"paycheck-to-paycheck" really means.

There are many different ways to create this "residual"
income. You could write a best-seller, invent something,
get lucky in the stock market, or own a successful life
insurance company. Most residual income-generators are
difficult and require an investment of quite a bit of money
or require special skills and talents and lots , not to
metion lot of time and effort. Do any of those sound like
something that would be realistic in your life?

Most folks know that another supposed source of residual
income is MLM, multi-level marketing. But even if you were
the best in the world at building an MLM business, 95% of
the unfortunate people you recruit into your business would
be making little, or in most cases, NO money at all! That
wipes out any hope for long-term residual income for you.

Most MLM companies also require what is called an
"auto-ship," where month after month you cringe when UPS
drops a bunch of nutritional products on your doorstep that
cost you from $100 to sometimes HUNDREDS of dollars per
month! If you are like most folks, you can never drink the
"power drink," or choke down all those pills, so your
closet or your garage stacks up with boxes of "stuff" from
your latest MLM business!

Not only that, but most people can't sustain that hundred
or so dollars every month for very long. Like you, most
people never even make enough to cover their auto ship, let
alone the money needed to market the products well enough
to make any serious money!

So what most people need to do is come up with an option
that will allow them to earn residual income without a lot
of skills and talent or a lot of money, like what it would
cost to buy your own insurance company. You need a simple
plan for residual income. Fortunately, there are options
for those of us without a lot of money and a lot of special
skills and talents that will allow you to earn a residual
income. Residual income is very important to your long
term financial goals but it eludes most people since they
don't even know what it is. But now that you know what it
is, its time for you to start working your plan to earn
residual income.

Stop Google Adwords From Stealing Your Money

Losing lots of hard-earned money on Google Adwords and
getting no results? Feel like you walked into a landmine
and just looking for an answer to get your money back?

Apply these 5 essential keys to make Google Adwords give
you back your money, destroy those Google pay per click
landmines and create your own Google Adwords goldmines.

Key #1: Do Not Advertise on the Content Network

In your Google Adwords account make sure you turn the
"content" network off.

The content network puts your ad in front of too broad of a
market. The content network includes Google pay per click
ads appearing next to personal e-mail, blogs, and online
publishers such as press release websites. The percentages
of potential buyers in the content network are low. You are
wasting your money in the content network.

Key #2: Do Not Advertise on the Search Network

Turn the "search" network settings off in your Google
Adwords account.

The search network includes small Google search engine
partners and affiliates that can be compared to the quality
of spam or junk mail. A small amount of potential buyers
are looking for your product within this search network.
The search network is filled with eternal information
seekers; people who are not serious about buying but rather
wishing to find something for nothing.

Key #3: Put Quotes Around Keywords

Put quotation marks at the beginning and end of each
keyword phrase. Quotation marks tell Google Adwords to only
show your pay per click ads when the same exact phrase is
searched. If you are selling the cure for cancer, one of
your keyword phrases should be "cure for cancer." When
someone puts that exact phrase into the Google search
engine your ad appears and is exactly targeted to the exact
person who is searching that exact term. The better
targeted the ad, the better chance you will make a sale.

You are wasting your money if you fail to put quotation
marks around your keywords because you are not targeting
your buying market. Your ad appears to the wrong market
when someone searches the phrase 'fake cancer cure lies and
scams.' It is the wrong keyword phrase, the wrong person
and thus the wrong market.

Key #4: Keywords in Ads

Put your Google pay per click term in the actual ad. You
only have a few lines to grab a targeted buyers' attention.
So include the searched term in the ad. Put 'cure for
cancer' on the top line of the ad. Google Adwords will bold
that term, it will be included in your ad and it is the
term the buyer searched. You are more likely to make a sale
when a buyer is looking for exactly what you are selling.

Key #5: Use Specifics

If you are selling a home-based business, do not use
keywords such as 'home-based business' because again it is
too broad. Use specific terms instead. If the name of your
business is 'Troll Doll Central' then use that specific
keyword term and put it in your Google Adwords campaign.
Now when 'Troll Doll Central' is searched you know that
person is looking for your business and will most likely
buy when an ad appears targeting exactly what they are
searching for.

Use these 5 essential keys to stop your Google Adwords
campaign from stealing your money. Applying these correct
marketing principles will turn Google Adwords into your own
personal goldmine whenever you choose.

How to Make Money Online Quick

The challenge of finding a way to make money online quick
might be compared with the challenge of getting someone to
read an e-mail quick. Once you send an e-mail, there is no
guarantee that it will be read in the next 5 minutes, or
even in the next 5 hours.

In the same way, once you offer an item for sale on line,
there is no guarantee that your offer will be noticed in
the next 5 minutes or even the next 5 hours. One way to
succeed in the effort to make money online quick requires
an extensive use of links. If one has a website that is
linked to many other websites, then one stands a better
chance of getting an internet user staring at the
information on your website. Once an Internet user gets to
your website, then he or she can purchase something from
your website. Design your ads to encourage a quick purchase
by the internet viewer. If the internet user buys something
from your website, then you will derive some added income
from that website. If they internet viewer makes a hasty
purchase, then you are better able to make money online
quick.

Still the ability to make money online quick is no
guarantee that you can keep that money. If a hasty purchase
proves unsatisfactory, the internet user is apt to want to
return the purchased item. A returned item would mean
returning to the buyer the money that was once obtained
quickly.

If your website offers something that people can download,
then that, too, is a way to make money online quick. You
could have people download music, a movie or even an entire
book. Such books are called e-books. Although it can take a
while to make, once created an e-book is an excellent way
to make money online quick.

Remember that the internet is used primarily as a source of
information. Most of the people who go online are in need
of some sort of information. If they can get all of the
information quickly, compiled in an e-book, then they are
apt to buy that e-book. You might then be able to celebrate
the fact that you have found a way to make money online
quick. Of course the speed with which you can make money
from an e-book will depend on your ability to market that
e-book. Tell all of your friends about your e-book.

Think about sending out an e-mail announcing its
availability. Many e-book writers put out a monthly
newsletter. In that newsletter they highlight the offerings
of their e-book. Newsletter readers learn about the
e-book. Some of the readers buy it. This helps the writer
to make money online quick.

Teleseminars: Content That Works

One of the most frequently asked questions asked about
teleseminars is, "What do I talk about?" Rephrased it is
"What content sells?"

Here are 5 ways to not only find something to talk about,
but also find a profitable topic as well.

1. Ask questions. Ask your potential audience what they
want to know. A simple ASK campaign is the fastest way to
get a lot of questions on your topic. It's also a great way
to judge whether or not a topic will sell. After all, if
you can get people to ask questions, then you'll be able to
get them to listen to the answers.

On the other hand, if you can't get any questions on the
topic, then it is not likely to "sell" as a teleseminar
topic.

Once you have your questions, then look for the themes. And
turn these themes into the top ten questions asked. Given
that, it's easy to craft your sales letter to highlight the
ten topics you'll discuss on the call.

2. Watch the news in your field. You may want to set up a
Google alert that keeps you informed of the latest news on
your topic. Watch the discussion forums to see what people
are discussing. You'll quickly pick up on the hot topics.

Now it's just a matter of deciding whether you want to set
up an ASK campaign to get the questions or set up an
interview with an expert to answer the questions. But
you'll know it will "sell", since it's already been
identified as a hot topic.

3. Look for experts in your field and interview them.
Everyone loves the idea of getting insider tips from the
experts. So look for those experts you would most like to
hear from and request an interview.

Most likely once you've settled on the topic you want to
interview them on, they will send a list of questions you
can ask on the interview. But don't be afraid to ask
additional questions or questions to clarify their answers.
That's what makes an interview interesting - those little
nuggets the host is able to pull out of the expert.

4. Look for problems. Listen to the conversations your
colleagues have to see what's bugging them. Watch the
discussion forums see what topics come up again and again.
What problems never seem to be solved?

Look for solutions to these common problems. Research and
find answers to present in a teleseminar format. That can
even be the start of a product, based on the teleseminar.

5. You pick the topic. You're already an expert in your
field. You know what questions people ask. You know what
they need to know to be successful in the field. Just list
the topics, then create a teleseminar series. Your first
teleseminar might be the "survey course," which covers all
of the topics at a very shallow depth. Then offer a paid
series that goes into each topic in depth. Not only will
you have an excellent home study course, but you'll also be
serving your clients by providing the information you know
they need.

If you ever find yourself asking "what can I talk about,"
just review this list for immediate ideas. You'll never run
out of topics again.

Using Autoresponders To Multiply Marketing Power &

An autoresponder gives you the ability to send messages
effortlessly for months on end. So if you captured an email
address six months ago, your autoresponder can repeatedly
contact that person to offer your product or service.

> WASH-RINSE-REPEAT

Repeat contact is a concept that top marketers first used
effectively in the offline world. When you conduct a direct
mail campaign, you send out message after message until
it`s no longer cost-effective. This strategy yields a much
higher response rate than with a one-shot mailing
(typically just 1% or less).

-From the Research Labs: Research shows that, on average,
A PROSPECT MUST BE CONTACTED SEVEN TIMES before you have
any real chance at closing a sale.

> BE IN THE TOP 10

If you apply this strategy to your Internet marketing
campaigns, you`ll have a real edge over the competition.
Remember: 90% of businesses do not follow-up with
prospects!

> TECHIQUE #1 - THE "KILL OVERKILL" TECHNIQUE

You don`t want an email-inbox crammed with ads and sales
letters, and neither does anyone else. Don`t send out
sales letter after sales letter. Your messages will become
an annoyance and the recipient will either unsubscribe or
just delete the messages whenever they arrive.

By sending a series of sales letters SPACED APART BY 2-4
DAYS, you`ll keep your prospect aware of your business and
develop credibility over time without being a pest.

> TECHNIQUE #2 - THE "MY GIFT TO YOU" TECHNIQUE

Send freebies such as ebooks, info reports, newsletters,
software, or even product samples. Many marketers use this
approach by offering a newsletter.

-Sneaky Salesmanship: Within the newsletter you have an
excellent opportunity to plug your product with a few lines
of irresistible copy.

With the soft sell approach, you can contact your prospect
once or even twice a week with "valuable information" --
which coincidentally mentions your product or service --
without seeming like you`re over-selling. If you`re a
vacuum cleaner distributor, for example, send a newsletter
on allergies and dust mites, for example.

> TECHNIQUE #3 - THEY'LL LEARN/YOU'LL EARN TECHNIQUE

Give away a valuable training course via email that has
special appeal to your recipients! You can create a simple
3-day, 5-day, 7 day, or even longer course. And at the end
of some of the course lessons you can add a few lines of
copy plugging your product or service.

This, too, is a soft sell approach.

> TECHNIQUE #4 - COMBO PLATTER TECHNIQUE

Use a variation of the hard sell, soft sell approach.
Simply alternate your messages. A balance of 40% hard-sell
and 60% soft-sell is generally about right.

The Big Secret To Making MORE Affiliate Sales

If you are involved in affiliate marketing either as an
affiliate or as a product owner, then you know that not all
affiliates make the same level of sales.

In affiliate marketing, less than 5% of the affiliates make
over 95% of the sales for many affiliate programs.

Why is that?

The top five percent of affiliates understand and apply the
proper techniques and psychology. Here are two quick
examples:

1) Mega-successful affiliates understand that customers
don't like to be sold to. People like to feel that they
made the buying decision. People do NOT like to feel like
they were tricked of pressured into buying something.

Super affiliate respond to this knowledge by making it less
obvious that they will profit from a prospect making a
purchase. One easy way to do this is by cloaking affiliate
links so that they are less "in your face." Cloaked
affiliate links don't scream "Buy this product so that I
can earn money from you!"

Really savvy super affiliates understand that even when
they use low-pressure tools like video, they STILL need to
cloak the affiliate links. That means that they don't need
to send prospects to an affiliate url to view the video,
they need to direct their prospects to a video that is
streamed from THEIR own url.

I won't get into the technical side of cloaking affiliate
links in this article. I will tell you that the easiest
way to stream videos promoting affiliate products from your
site is by using Camtasia videos branded with your
affiliate link. You can see a demonstration of how easy
that can be by watching the short video at:
http://WillieRecommends.com/MakingMoreAffiliateSales/

2) Mega-successful super affiliates also understand that
the single biggest obstacle that you have to overcome is
that people don't believe you. They are convinced that all
Internet marketers are scammers, and con artists… out to
TRICK them out of their money.

Your customers won't tell you this... unless you listen
really hard.

That obstacle is really easy to overcome. You just need to
provide PROOF of what you say. You provide proof in
testimonials, statistics from trusted sources, seals from
trusted third parties, and visual proof.

For visual proof, video is the perfect tool again. Instead
of telling someone how easy a piece of software is to use,
use Camtasia screen capture software to record a short
video of you using the software. Show them step-by-step
just how easy it really is! At the end of the software,
redirect the viewer to your sales page or order form.

In doing the above, you've just solved two problems. You've
provided that much-needed proof, and you've eliminated
requiring the customer to decide whether or not to click on
your link. Both of these move the prospect toward a buying
decision very powerfully.

Since I like to keep things simple, and I'm smart enough to
continue using what has proven VERY effective, I like using
Camtasia videos branded with my affiliate url to solve the
two problems outlined above. Again, my preferred tool is
at: http://WillieRecommends.com/MakingMoreAffiliateSales/

Let's briefly look at this from the affiliate program
manager's perspective...

In affiliate marketing, two affiliate programs can have
nearly identical products, yet one can make 100 times the
sales of the other. Why is that?

One of the biggest, least-acknowledged factors involved in
an affiliate program succeeding massively is the
requirement for the affiliate program to nourish the
psychological needs of the affiliates.

Affiliates need to feel like equal partners with the
affiliate program - not someone begging for crumbs!

Affiliates need to have their lists and customers respect
them as the source of solutions to their problems.

Both of the above factors mean that the successful
affiliate program manager must make it easy for the
affiliate to be the source. Instead of only providing
affiliates with tools that brand the affiliate product,
they provide affiliates with tools that brand them, their
sites, and their urls. They provide them with tools that
can be downloaded, streamed, or accessed from their sites.

Three tools that accomplish this well, and that ALL
affiliate program managers should be providing their
affiliate with are:

1) Rebrandable PDF reports

2) Articles that they can insert their cloaked affiliate
links into and then use on their websites, on their blogs,
in their ezines, and in their ebooks.

3) Rebrandable Camtasia (Flash) videos. The tool preferred
by experienced affiliate program managers for providing
these branded videos, hands-free is called CS Brander. The
CS is an in "Camtasia Studio :-) You can see a
demonstration of that powerful tool that supercharges
affiliate programs at:
http://WillieRecommends.com/MakingMoreAffiliateSales/

As you can see, the big secret to making more affiliate
sales whether you are the affiliate, or the product owner,
is to use the proper tools. You don't need to reinvent the
wheel or create "bleeding-edge" technology. You simply need
to use what numerour very successful affiliates have proven
works.

You also don't really need to master dozens of tools. You
need to use the ones that have proven the most effective.
In this article I highly recommended using video, to an
extent because most of your customers have been conditioned
to sit and watch video from a very early age. Unlike
reading, watching video takes no effort on your prospect
part. Your messages gets through very effectively.

5 Ways Anyone Can Start Making Money Online As Soon As Today

A lot of people ask this question all the time.

"How do I make money online quickly?"

My answer is generally, "You don't!" You have to work for
it to make it happen.

But, the truth is, there are a few ways to make money
rather quickly and even as soon as today.

Here are just 10 of ways to make money online in no
specific order…

1. Sell something on Ebay. It "almost" doesn't matter
what it is. Maybe it's something old you have lying around
the house. Heck as long as you're honest and say what it
is you're selling, you can make money on there. There are
people on Ebay right now selling, of all things, "Broken
Cell Phones!" Yes people even buy broken stuff.

2. Blog for money. Blogging has become so popular and
important in the eyes of the search engines that you can
now get paid to, blah blah, I mean write about things you
like, don't like or stuff you know about. PayPerPost.com is
the place to go.

3. Sell your services. With the sheer number of
freelancer websites out there, if you have a skill someone
needs, SELL IT!

Here are places you can go to sell your services.
Elance: www.Elance.com

Rent A Coder:
www.RentACoder.com

Script Lance: www.Scriptlance.com

Guru: www.Guru.com

Writer Lance:
www.Writerlance.com

Workaholics 4Hire:
www.Workaholics4Hire.com

4. Sell other peoples products. It's called affiliate
marketing and it's a term you'll hear bandied around the
internet quite a bit. But… the fact is, affiliate
marketing is growing in the billions of dollars of revenue
and income made on the internet. Go to any major
"affiliate network" or big ecommerce website like
Target.com and you can find an affiliate signup link
somewhere on the page. There, you sign up to become a
reseller of their products and they give you a percentage
of the sale. You've just become their freelance or remote
sales force. All you have to do is use online advertising
methods such as Pay Per Click using Google Adwords or
something similar and you can use it to sell other peoples'
products through your "affiliate link" by placing small
"classified like" ads on their pay per click network. A
person sees the ad, they click to the website you're
advertising and if they buy, you get paid! Even if you
make as little as $50 a day, that's a nice start and heck,
it can pay your bills. Remember you have to invest money in
your advertising but would you spend $200 a month to make
$1,500? Of course you would!

5. Start your own website. This is probably the most
difficult one of these but it really isn't difficult once
you know the steps you need to take in order to accomplish
it. I can't possibly explain them all in detail here but,
I can give you a quick list. * Get a domain
name. * Get a website hosting account.
* Get an Autoresponder. You will need one to collect the
names and email addresses of your customers and/or
visitors. * Get an HTML editing software like
Microsoft Frontpage or a free one like NVU * Get
FTP software. FTP means File Transfer Protocol and it is
the best method to transfer files on to your website
hosting account. These are files like webpages and such.
Filezilla is a great free choice for the beginner.
* Get a way to process credit cards. You can start our
with Paypal and even expand your business using all of
their services. It's free to join, fast and secure for you
and your customers. * Create a digital product,
get the resale rights to one or sell a physical product.
It really doesn't matter as long as it's something there is
a need or a want for. * Put up a page selling
your product. * Advertise and send traffic to
your website. * Collect your Money and follow-up
with your customers!

I know that last one was a bit overly simplistic, but like
I said, "It's way too much to get into here."

Keep in mind that these are just 5 among the dozens of
other ways to make money online. Take action and change
your life!

Using Auto-responders to Automate Your Online Affiliate Business

Making a great living as an affiliate marketer is becoming
more and more possible for the average person - regardless
of expertise or education.

What's more it is possible to entirely automate the process
of selling online from following up with your prospects
through to product sale, delivery and beyond.

Remember, the affiliate sale and after sales process,
including support and product delivery are covered by the
merchant or product owner. So, if you are an affiliate
marketer you can forget about that aspect of your business.
This part is already automated as far as you are concerned.

What's left then? Well, skipping over how you will get
visitors to visit your website, there is the small task of
following up with leads and prospects.

It would be virtually impossible to do this manually once
your web business starts to grow. It may be doable if you
are getting 1 to 2 leads per day BUT what happens when this
number grows to 10, 20, 50 or maybe even 100 leads per day?

The reason I setup my online business was because I wanted
more freedom in my life. If I'm following up with leads all
day long then any freedom I have has disappeared.

This is why it is important to me and I'm sure to you to
put as much of our business on auto-pilot as possible.

If you setup an email capture form and followup
autoresponder to automate the sales process then you can
concentrate all your efforts on marketing your website.

Your only job then would be to send visitors to your
website with your lead capture form. Once they enter your
autoresponder the rest is on automatic pilot - from
followup through to sale. The end result of which will be
affiliate commission checks in your mailbox or bank account.

Using autoresponders to sell your affiliate products is an
absolute must as far as I am concerned if you are serious
about building a successful affiliate business.

Using such services frees up a lot of your time to get on
with marketing and developing your business to new and
greater heights.

At no other time in history has there been an easier way to
create automatic income streams than the opportunities
being presented to online entrepreneurs. It is up to you to
take advantage of the technology available and apply it to
your business.

The costs involved are so low that it would be downright
idiotic not to get your own affiliate followup system.

Making Money Online With Paid Survey Websites

I know that you're interested in making money online by
taking paid surveys because you're reading this article.
You may have done some research already and have a plan for
what sites to join or the best way to start making money
online through paid surveys and that is great. What I want
to do here is give you some additional information about
paid surveys and paid survey websites that will help you
make more money and avoid some common paid survey traps.

The number one most important thing to remember is never
pay a membership fee to a paid survey site. Not to take
the surveys and not to get a list of paid survey sites. I
can't tell you this enough. This is not the right path to
making money online. There are many sites out there that
want you to pay for access to a list of paid survey sites,
but the information they are selling you is freely
available on the internet. Don't ever pay for this
information "" you can get it for free.

Next make sure that you sign up for more than just one paid
survey site. You may make some money this way, but each
site only has a limited number of offers. If you get just
5 offers a week from one company you won't make much, but
if you sign up with 10 or 20 companies then you'll be
getting 50-100 offers a week and can make much better
money. Doing paid surveys for cash is a numbers game, the
more sites you register at the better off you will be. If
one site makes you $5 a week then 20 sites will make you
$100 a week. A much better way of making money online!

The third thing you need is a bit of patience. Most people
that sign up for paid survey sites quit before things
really get rolling. It takes some time to get used to
taking the surveys and after a bit of practice you'll find
that you can do them with your eyes closed. This is when
you can really start making money online. Also, you'll
find that some of the survey sites don't post payments to
your account until AFTER their study closes. This can take
up to a month and in the meantime it looks like you're not
making any money. So, people get discouraged and give up.
Don't give up! Keep at it for 3 months and you will start
to see some real money coming in.

It doesn't matter what kind of paid survey site it is these
tips will help you make the most money possible with paid
surveys. If you follow these suggestions you'll have more
offers than you're able to complete and best of all you'll
be creating a steady flow of income that can help pay the
bills, pay for a vacation or anything else you need some
extra cash for. Mine is going into my retirement fund and
it has been growing like it's on steroids.

Start taking paid surveys today and you will know that you
can be making money online, every month, any time you want,
just by completing surveys and offers for free.

----------------------------------------------------
Have fun and make money. No cost and no registration, just
free access to over 300 paying survey sites. Paid Survey
Success is your ticket to a fun and easy way to make money
in your spare time.

Pink Slip Billionaires

You gotta love problems for the solutions they inspire.
Here are some names you might recognize who were canned,
laid off, or otherwise given the boot. They have joined the
Pink-Slip Billionaires because instead of finding a new
job, they launched their own careers.

Michael Bloomberg – New York City Mayor

David Neeleman – Jet Blue Aircraft

Bernie Marcus & Allen Blank – Home Depot

J K Rawling – Harry Potter

Of the four backgrounds I read on these entrepreneurs,
Rawling's was the most amusing: she was fired for writing
short stories from her desk at work. How funny is that? He
should have offered her a private office for a percent of
the publishing rights.

Gaining control over your life is what it's all about.
Doing something you love or believe in is a good reason to
start your own career. Confucius said: "Find a business you
love, and you will never have to work another day in your
life".

Maybe your day will have longer hours or odd hours at
first, but when you're having fun at what you're doing why
would you care about free weekends? It's all going to
benefit YOU, not them.

The Internet is the biggest revelation of our time. In the
past one hundred years of communication, only the telephone
and aviation equal its development. But its importance to
small business is greater today than either television or
radio.

Three million Entrepreneurs every year find the courage to
start a business of their own. Others fight the fear of "no
paycheck" resulting in two-thirds of all employees hating
their work, their boss or their hours. But they grind away
their life in this situation.

We already know that 49% of all companies are now operated
from the home office, so this is not rocket science. And
did you know – many independent business owners earn less
income than the customers they serve? That's a fact.

I have to go back several years to the day when I first let
go of my 'hostess job' in a fine restaurant and went from
part-time Entrepreneur to full time on the Internet. What
a great feeling it was to plan my own day, design my own
schedule and answer to no one but myself.

Surfing the Internet for a good money-stream is now second
nature to me, and to do this I have learned to use the
Forums. People don't hesitate to gripe about a company or
a program full of BS and hype. They rip them up and down
and others join their whine list. Just as out-spoken are
the ones who like to brag about the successes they have
found, the pay-outs that are hitting their bank accounts,
and the simplicity of the program itself.

I have found a few open doors that I liked the sounds of
and with further due diligence, I joined. You don't even
have to become a member of these Forums, just spend every
spare hour you have reading them on a daily basis. Get one
money stream up and going, and start looking for the next
one. Diversification counts here too.

Look for money streams in the form of residuals or
leveraged income. With some effort up front and a minimum
investment, get it going and coast while you look for
another money stream. Many use this strategy to build their
bank account while collecting a paycheck. Good idea if
your ultimate plan is to break-away from your Dilbert cube.

As Entrepreneurs in the fastest growing area of the
economy, we as the risk takers and wealth generators might
be looked upon as grasshoppers as we search for our
answers. What makes us jump? I can tell you the simple
answer: the desire to create. And high self-esteem adds
serious fuel.

Motivation comes from anyone who tells us, it can't be
done. We love an impossible challenge. We are dreamers. We
want to control our own lives. We see things that others
can not. Above all, we believe in ourselves. We leave a
boring job to take on the fearsome adventure with the last
of our savings. We are a strange lot. So tell me, given the
choice, would you choose being bored, or being terrified?

Your answer may or may not qualify you for Entrepreneurship.

Protect your biggest eBay selling tool!

Every seller on eBay understands the importance of feedback
and how crucial it is to protect it. Feedback allows you to
know what type of person you are dealing with and is
perhaps the most valuable asset you can have when dealing
on the largest auction site in the world – eBay!

Every visitor interested in an item on your listing, will
quickly go through your feedback before dealing with you.
Typically, eBay feedback gives an idea about the way you
conduct your dealings and also includes any bid retractions
you may have made necessitating you to protect your
feedback. Feedback is usually non removable and your
feedback profile indicates how efficiently you handle
issues and how you deal with winning bidders and offensive
customers.

Through your feedback, visitors can find out how long you
have been associated with eBay and how many times you have
changed your user name. Frequent change in username may
create a negative impression about you and imply that you
are trying to hide something.

One reason why its so important to protect your feedback is
that everyone can view your feedback and a person viewing a
feedback profile or a seller doesn't have to be necessarily
involved in the transaction.

Now that you have understood how failing to maintain your
feedback can lead to damaging consequences, let me quickly
tell you how you can protect it.

A golden rule for successful dealings with customers is to
be polite at all times. Getting good ratings largely depend
on how happy your customers are! Be prompt in answering
customer queries and ideally queries through email should
be addressed in less than 24 hours. Most sellers understand
the importance of quick response and therefore set up an
auto responder to let potential customers know that they
will be attended to shortly. However, if you don't have
such a system in place and have not been able to respond
immediately, do craft a nice email to tell them how sorry
you are for the delayed response.

When you communicate with the winning bidders before
closing a sale, make sure that you first thank them for
choosing you and your products over others. Also request
them to leave a positive feedback if they are satisfied
with the product. It can be mutually beneficial, as you can
in turn promise to return their favor by posting a positive
feedback about the bidder as well. However, if they are
not, request them to inform you about the same before
leaving a feedback. Also close on a positive note hoping to
do more business with the bidder in future.

Starting your transaction on a friendly note goes a long
way in developing healthy relations with your customers.
Respect your customers' sentiments and if someone wants a
refund don't question it – just do it! By asking him why
they wants a refund is like opening a can of worms. In most
cases, the customer is not too happy about your product and
will tell you in detail why he didn't like it.. Being
polite and sensitive to customer needs lead to more
business and of course, plenty of positive feedback.

Finally, when you sell leave feedback only after you
receive it! A happy customer is always the first to leave a
feedback, so wait for it.

Staying Committed To Your Home Business

You are one month in. Your website has only had a hundred
visitors, none of the advertising strategies you are using
seem to be working and you have only made fifty dollars.

Or maybe things are not that bad. You might be getting a
steady stream of traffic, and have pulled in a few hundred
dollars.

But the money still isn't rolling in like you dreamed. You
keep reading about people earning thousands a week and
becoming millionaires, but it doesn't seem like that will
ever happen to you. You find yourself getting discouraged.
After all, there are more entertaining things to do than
sit at your computer and work. Perhaps you want to watch TV
instead, or play with your kids. Before you know it, you
are starting to forget about your struggling home business.

Well, stop. The moment you start thinking about giving up
is the moment you start down the path to failure.

The fact is, most people never do manage to earn a serious
income online. And the reason is quite simple: they give
up. They stop trying. They decide that it all seems too
difficult, and they go to do something else.

So, how do you avoid getting to the stage where you just
want to quit? Or if you feel like that now, how do you get
started again, and this time keep yourself at it?

The first thing to realise is that this is not a game. This
is work, a business. You therefore need to treat it like a
job. There is no boss to keep you working, so you need to
do that yourself. You cannot believe all those claims about
making money by sitting on the couch. Maybe some people
manage that: but I have never met any! If you want your
home business to be a success, you will have to work and
put in time and effort.

Clear a workspace. If you have more than one computer,
designate one as your 'work computer'. This will help you
stay organised. It will also mean that every time you sit
down at your workspace, your mind will start to recognise
that now is the time to start thinking about your business.

In your workspace, make sure that everything you might need
is close at hand. If you suffer from procrastination, make
sure you have everything before you start. If you are
constantly getting up and down from your computer, you will
never get anything done.

It can also provide a small morale boost. If you have been
working at a messy desk surrounded by dirt and clutter,
clearing yourself a professional looking workspace can make
you feel more professional, more serious about your
business, and more willing to sit down and work.

Second, set yourself a timetable. Tell yourself that at a
certain hour you will sit down and work. Get yourself into
a routine. This means that if the temptation to give up
does arrive, you might find it easier to work through as
you know that at a certain time you have to sit down and do
some work.

This also makes it easier to avoid distractions. Maybe a TV
show you want to see is on. A little voice in your head
tells you that you can leave your business to look after
itself for one day. But if you have a set time at which you
tell yourself you have to sit down and work, it's easier to
ignore that little voice and record the program instead.

Third, make sure your friends and family respect what you
are doing. Many people will assume that if you are sitting
at your computer, you are free to do chores, run errands,
or just to go out and have fun! The last one can be
difficult to resist.

Tell them what you are trying to do. Ask for their
patience. And make sure they understand that when you are
at your computer, you do not want distractions. It will
also be easier to make excuses to friends as to why you are
not able to go out with them if they know why.

They can also be a useful tool to help stop you quitting.
Giving up and admitting failure is easier to do if the only
person who knows about it is you. The idea of having to
explain it to your friends and family could be a powerful
incentive to keep working!

In the end, it comes down to treating your home business
like you would a real job. If you want to quit your day
job, you need to be earning a steady, reliable income. You
can only get that by putting in the work.

Do not be discouraged! Yes, many people fail. But the main
reason they do so is because they do not take it seriously
and end up quitting.

If you keep going, eventually you will find the success you
are dreaming of.

Is Classified Advertising worth the trouble?

Online Classified Advertising is prolific throughout the
internet. It isn't very hard to set up a classified site
but are they worth using?

Like standard paper advertising it is about finding the
right classified site to advertise with. All site proclaim
to have the most comprehensive readership but there are few
questions you should ask before you waste any of your
precious time.

1. Is the site free? If it is free are there options to
promote your classified for a fee?
2. How many classifieds are currently listed in your
desired category?
3. Where are the classified targeting?
4. Do the classifieds have individual counters?
5. Do you have to put banners on your site or other
reciprocal links to have your classified listed?
6. Will my classified be listed in the search engines or
other reciprocal classified sites?

Lets look at each question one at a time.

1. Free sites can be very good but it does depend on the
readership and the promotion of the sites. Consider how you
came across the site and what the ads are that are listed
therein. If you think that the site may be worthwhile put
your classified in and see how it goes. Some of the free
sites allow for you to pay to have your listing promoted at
the top of the category. Depending on your finances and how
many others are listed in your category it can be
worthwhile. Also check how long a paid listing lasts
compared to a free listing. Even so, it would be
recommended you wait until you monitor the site further
with your free classified.

2. You really need to look at how many listings there are
under the category you wish to put your classified in. The
reason being your competition may be really hefty. If you
can put your classified in a less obvious category if you
find the obvious one has a huge amount of listings. For
example if you have a classified on business opportunities,
try placing your ad in advertising or marketing. It may
seem a bit broad but you may also find a better response.

3. Some classified sites are very specific and others are
very broad. Consider the site you are looking at and what
the type of classified listings are. Obviously you would
not list a business opportunity in a car classified site.
Also consider where geographically the classified site is
targeting. If you have a product or service that is only
applicable in the USA don't place a classified in
Australia. Whilst this seems obvious you would be surprised
at how many would not consider this.

4. Individual counters on classifieds are very useful. What
these count is how many times your ad has actually been
opened on the classified site. If your classified is not
being opened very often you should consider your headline.
It is the headline that will encourage people to look at
your classified in the 1st instance. If you are getting
lookers but no sales 1st look at your classified content
then at the statistics of your website if you can. Your
website statistics will tell you who has actually gone into
your site from the classified. Very useful.

5. If you find to get your classified displayed you need to
add reciprocal code or banners you are not really in a
classified site but a traffic or banner exchange. That is
ok if you don't mind using this type of service but if it
is a pure classified site you are after skip this type of
site. A discussion on traffic and banner exchanges is
beyond the scope of this document.

6. Classified sites that either work on a reciprocal
classified site, have the classifieds indexed into the
search engines or both are well worth listing with. If they
are free as many are this is all the better. There is great
value in this type of listing as you enhance the
opportunity for sales. If the site does list with search
engines and reciprocal classified sites make sure you
understand any fees that are involved. Whilst we have found
very few require a fee many may do.

Summing up we recommend you consider classified advertising
for your online marketing. It is a smart and inexpensive
way to build your business. We do not however advocate that
this be your only way of advertising should you really want
to increase your online business income. There are numerous
options out there that will cost very little in time and
money to implement and maintain.

Marketing Effectively With Safelist

When you get started with internet marketing, there are lot
of places that you will be looking, and sooner more often
than later, you will run into a safelist. A safelist is
essentially a group of people that are willing receive each
others emails for any variety of reasons. Usually, a
safelist is geared towards marketing, where all the members
agree to see each other's e-mails. This is an ideal form
of marketing as it ensures that your ad copy and promotions
will only go to the people who want them, ensuring that
you're not wasting your time and that you are not annoying
people who don't like to get unsolicited e-mails.

There are several pros and cons to marketing on a safelist.
One good thing is that you get to direct your ad campaign;
you can send emails to the people who will be the most
interested in your service. Similarly, most safelists
start out with free membership, and when you're just
starting out and deciding if this form of internet
advertising is for you, you can investigate it at no cost.
However, one thing to keep in mind is people on safelists
are more often interested in having you view their ads than
taking a look at yours. Similarly, if you have a large
one, you and everyone on it will receive a correspondingly
large number of e-mails. You will need to write some very
intriguing headlines to stand out of the crowd on a list
like that.

When looking through safelists, you are going to need to
pick one that suits you. For instance, a large safelist
will get your ad copy out to different people, but a
smaller one will probably end up getting you more
attention. Similarly, when you go looking around at
safelists, you'll find that some of them are pay; you need
to decide whether or not you want to put some money into
being able to do things like post more than once in a day,
or getting to see other paid safelist posts.

Getting started with a safelist is easy! First, find a
safelist that meets your needs, whether its a large one or
a small one. When writing your copy, make sure that your
headline is interesting and will tempt people into opening
it to see what you're selling. For this, try using soft
selling techniques rather than hard ones; soft sells work
better online. Remember to put down your name and contact
information for your new customers, and to reach the
maximum amount of people, repost your ad every other day.
To promote variety, rotate your ads through your different
safelists to make sure that people don't get tired of
seeing them.

Safelists are one more tool you can add to your list it
terms of getting your name out there, and it's a tool that
others are already using. Don't get left behind; find your
safelist today!

eBay Seller Gets More Sales

As an eBay seller you can get more sales from your auction
sites if you use the eBay tools that are available to you.
These helpful tools should be used for setting up and
running your seller sites the right way for the type of
items you'll be selling in your auctions.

You can find the eBay tools and resources you need for
setting up and designing your auction sites at eBay and
other auction themed websites.

eBay Seller Listings

After you have found a product that you want to sell on
your auction site search the eBay seller item listings and
locate the same and similar items.

Keep track of the items prices on the seller sites that are
listed.

Take note on when the auctions began and when they will be
ending.

Go back to them many times and check out which of the sites
are getting the most sales of the item you also want to
sell.

eBay Seller Sites

Take note on the auction sites that get more sales than the
others, how they are set up, designed, and their overall
look.

You can also compare these seller sites to the other
auctions that didn't do as well as they did.

When you start setting up and designing your own eBay
seller site you'll have alot of other auctions to compare
to that have already run or are up and running.

This part of your plan will save you alot of time and
you'll also get better results.

Compare Prices

Add up the price that you could sell the item for at a
profit after paying your best priced and reliable supplier.

Compare your price to the prices of the other eBay seller
sites that had a good amount of sales.

If you can make a profit by coming close to, matching, or
beating these prices you have found a good product to sell
on your eBay seller site.

eBay Tools

You can find alot of articles, ebooks, eBay tools, and
resources that will show you how to set up an eBay seller
site that looks like it was designed by an experienced eBay
store owner. This will increase your sales and success as
an eBay seller.

eBay Sales

Start off with a small to medium inventory. After your
auction begins you can lower the price just enough as
needed to get more sales or raise the price just enough as
needed to cover your costs and profits.

There will be more new visitors and customers going to your
eBay seller site or store and any improvements you add to
the setup and design will increase the sales in your
current and future auctions.

After a while if the item sells well, then you can buy more
from your supplier than you did on the first order.

Buyer Discounts

You can offer your customers a discount when they buy more
than one item from your eBay auction site or sites that are
listed in your eBay store.

Your customers will appreciate any discounts that you offer
to them. They will feel that they got a good deal from an
eBay seller on something that they needed and/or wanted.

eBay Shipping

If two or more items are ordered from your auction site
that can be shipped to the customer together in the same
box or as part of the same eBay shipping order you can
offer a discount on the s/h cost.

Your customers will appreciate it if you use a shipping
calculator in your auctions because they will be getting an
accurate s/h cost based on their location.

This eBay tool is offered for use in all seller auctions
and can be found on the eBay business shipping page.

Auction Details

Put all of the buyer discount, shipping, and other
important details in your auction where your customers and
visitors can easily find them.

If you have an eBay store with other related auction items
you can mention that and you can list some of them with
their description and picture towards the bottom of your
auction listing.

eBay Seller Plan

A good sales plan will help you find the right products to
sell in your eBay auctions.

It will also help you set up and design an effective
auction site that improves your online business.

Follow your sales plan and you will be a successful eBay
seller !

Start a Home Business With Online Auctions

There are many ways that you can start your own home
business and enjoy the rewards that come with it. This
articles is going to discuss generating extra income by
starting your own home business from online auctions.

Did you know that there are other places on the internet
besides Ebay that you can sell your items. There are
Yahoo and MSN auctions, as well as another site that gets a
great deal of traffic and potential buyers-Amazon. Some of
the great things about all of these sites is that they take
very little experience to get started, very little money
and not too much time. Additionally, and very important
to sales is that these sites already have a great deal of
built-in, targeted traffic. It's hard to make a sale when
no one knows where to find your items.

Finding products to sell isn't that hard either. You can
get started with some old CD's or movies or books to get
used to the process. Then you might start expanding by
cleaning out your own garage or attic. If you don't find
much there… take it a step further and offer to clean or
organize garages for your neighbors for a fee. If there's
anything they don't want, tell them you will dispose of it
for them. If it's something you think you can sell, all
the better. Then you can earn money from the service
provided and the items that you come away with, not a bad
home business.

When you get your auctions listed, be sure to have clear,
detailed pictures of each item. You know the old adage, "A
picture is worth a thousand words." But remember, a
picture isn't enough. You want to write a great
description of each item that you list. Tell people things
like how it looks (in case the picture doesn't load or they
just want to read about it) how old it is, any relevant
history, what the current going rate is for a new item like
yours and what the dimensions are. People like to know
what they're buying and will buy from the person who gives
the most information for them to make their purchasing
decision.

Make sure you have a descriptive title, not a flashy one.
Flash doesn't help you get found when someone is searching
for you, good key words and descriptions do.

Do some research looking at other items similar to yours
and see who has the most bids. Then, see what you think
made that item more attractive, and apply that knowledge to
your own auctions. With a little practice and effort, you
could have a booming home business in no time.

Affiliate Marketing Guide To A Monthly Online Income

Creating an online affiliate marketing system which
produces a monthly income is relatively easy. With one
catch, you have to know exactly what you're doing and how
the whole online marketing system works. Figuring out all
the details can take you years to learn.

What the beginning webmaster or marketer doesn't realize
building a solid online business takes time and patience.
It is not done overnight, despite what the latest marketing
gurus are trying to sell you, it simply takes time and a
lot of hard work to build a solid online business.

First, you must have a basic understanding of how the
Internet works and the future role you will play in it. You
must understand the net is basically an extension of the
real world: it is an enormous virtual playground as well as
a vast storehouse of the world's collective knowledge. But
you must also understand the web is a global marketplace
unlike anything that has been seen before on this planet.

If you want to be an affiliate marketer you must place
yourself or your site into this whole online environment.
As an affiliate marketer you must play some sort of role in
the transfer of information within this complex structure.

How?

Simply give surfers what they're looking for: information.

Supplying valuable, needed information is your key to
online affiliate success.

Here are some proven affiliate marketing strategies or tips
to get you started on your affiliate marketing career. Each
is a brief summation of some of the factors to keep in mind
as you create your own complex, yet simple, online
marketing system.

1. Acquiring Knowledge

Your first step is to acquire the basic skills and
knowledge needed to run an online site or business. When I
started I had to learn how to write HTML from scratch and
go from there... today there are many online site builders
and WYSIWYG editors to get you started. Plus, you now have
whole online site building systems you can use - Ken Evoy's
SBI comes readily to mind.

No matter which route you follow, you must understand how
an online site works, how to use keywords, how to create
valuable content and how to tie in your affiliate links
with this content... all this basic knowledge you must
acquire.

2. Get The Big Picture: Your Role - Your Content

You must fully understand your role in the whole online
affiliate marketing process. Your content must be valuable
to the Internet user, it must offer information, solve a
problem or offer a special deal. There must be some reason
why the surfer will use your site to find what they're
looking for on the web. They must benefit in some way from
using your site.

Again, offering valuable, helpful information will spell
online affiliate success for you.

3. Build Your Foundation

You must have your own domain or domains. You must create
your own piece of virtual real estate that you can build
and gradually add to as you proceed. Be wary of free sites.
Don't rent, own your real estate outright. Your sites will
become your valuable properties you will continue to build
for years to come.

When picking a domain name try to get as close as you can
to the main keyword or keyword phrase represented by your
site's topic. Use hyphens if you have to but choose a name
that is short and can be easily remembered and typed
directly into a browser.

As for site design and layout - a simple solution is to use
a blog format such as the free WordPress software and host
it on your own domain. Extremely effective way of creating
a full-powered content site without having to worry about
learning HTML code or programing. You can have a website up
and running within minutes.

4. Know Your Partners & Their Products

As an affiliate marketer you will be selling other people's
stuff. You must get to know these future partners and their
marketing systems. Pick affiliate products directly related
to the topic of your site. Something your visitors are
interested in and would likely purchase after you have
supplied them with valuable information about those
products.

A good way to find potential products and partners is to
join the well established major affiliate networks on the
web. These networks represents most of the Top 500
Companies in the world. Affiliate networks like Commission
Junction, LinkShare, Amazon, ClickBank, Shareasale... these
networks have been around for years and offer excellent
payment structures and commission rates.

5. Long Tail Keyword Marketing

Develop content and high rankings for long tail keyword
phrases related to your site's topic. These are some of the
least competitive keywords yet they will also prove to be
the most lucrative for you. Find the long tail keywords
within your niche and exploit them. Using exact brand names
of the affiliate products you're promoting make for
effective long tail keywords.

Consistently use and develop this long tail keyword
strategy and you will succeed at affiliate marketing.

6. Build Your One-Way Links

Take a pro-active approach to link building. Don't sit
around waiting for links, instead go out and get them. Use
your keyword anchor links in the resource box of your
articles. Distribute these articles to all the major
article directories... make sure Ezinearticles.com,
Goarticles.com, ArticleAlley.com... are on your list.

Recommend products that you use, make forum posts, create
viral videos, join social media sites, offer a free
newsletter and build your own subscriber base, create
follow-up autoresponder series on the major products you
promote... these are all ways of creating traffic and
customers.

7. Embrace Google But Don't Ignore the Others

Embrace Google as if your affiliate marketing life depended
on it - chances are it will be!

Google is the search engine that you must optimize for if
you want your site to really succeed online. Don't ignore
the others, but Google has become the most popular search
engine in the world and even accounts for 50% of all the
searches made in the USA. (comScore)

So short of a brown-nose, do everything you can to please
Google. The rewards are worth it. Whether you're a Google
fan or not, Google has gained the trust and respect of the
majority of Internet users. Getting a top 10 placement for
your targeted keywords will often mean money in the bank.

8. Be Aware Of The Social Media Revolution

Be aware the Internet is constantly changing and in the
next few years everything will be turned topsy-turvy. We
are talking about the growing popularity of user-generated
content sites such as MySpace, FaceBook, YouTube, Digg,
Technorati...

Stay within the flow by making sure any site you create has
a blog and RSS feed attached to it. Make sure all your
content can be easily bookmarked in all these different
social bookmarking sites. One simple solution is to use the
easy bookmarking system supplied by Addthis.com, place
their code on your content pages and let your visitors
bookmark your content for you in all these different media
sites.

9. Model It

In art one of the best ways to learn is to model or copy
the masters. You learn by seeing how someone else has
approached and solved a problem and then use their model or
example. In affiliate marketing, one of the best ways to
learn is to copy or model your business on one that has
already been proven to work.

This is NOT literal copying of a site or business but
simply modeling your own business on an existing example
that works. Same structure, same marketing techniques, same
principles... building your affiliate business on an
existing mold or model is a wise route to take if you want
to succeed.

10. Be Patient For Results

Building a viable online affiliate business takes some time
so be patient. If you're building a content rich site and
targeting specific keywords it can take months, sometimes
even years, before you obtain significant results. So have
long term goals in place and expect plenty of hard work
before you reap the real rewards.

Just remember becoming a full time online affiliate
marketer is well within anyone's reach. However, like most
things in life, the journey is always much more enjoyable
than your final destination. Many of you will probably
discover, like I did, that 'the reach is the grasp'.
Actually doing something is the main reward, all those
monthly affiliate checks are just pleasant aftershocks.
Very nice aftershocks that add up very quickly into a
healthy monthly online income!

Business Software You Shouldn't Be Without

Having the right equipment and software can make any online
business more profitable and successful. While you can
start a business with little more than a computer and
high-speed internet connection, as your business grows, you
will need help tracking orders, profits, expenses, and
marketing your product.

Business software

The following software can help you organize your finances
and make communicating with customers much easier:

• Spreadsheet programs – A few spreadsheets may be all you
need to track orders, expenses, and profits for your home
business. You can buy special software that will create
spreadsheets for you, or you can use a program like
Microsoft Excel, where you build them yourself. It is
important to maintain accurate records for tax purposes,
lost merchandise, and customer returns.

• Accounting software – If you are not good with figures or
you don't have the time to create invoices and track
spending and profits, investing in accounting software is
the best way to stay on top of company finances. This
software will instantly create invoices, send them to
customers, track expenses, and allow you to see bank
statements and other documents online.

• Autoresponder program – If you have a huge email list to
maintain, writing individual email can take hours out of
your day. If you want to send those on your list special
coupons, offers, or tell them about a new feature on your
web site, sending mass email will save you time. Simply add
all of the addresses into the program and it will send your
messages to everyone on your list.

Computer programs like these can be found in most office
supply stores and online.

Other programs you may want to invest in, but that are not
necessary include:

• Desktop publishing program – These programs are used for
creating brochures, newsletters, business cards, and other
marketing materials. If you plan on using print media to
sell your products in addition to online marketing, then
programs like these are worth looking into as it will save
you from having to spend extra money in hiring a
professional.

• Web site design program – If you want to build a web site
using HTML, you can do so without having to learn the
language or hiring a professional web designer. Programs
like Dreamweaver can help you by simplifying the process
and providing you with many options in terms of aesthetics
on your site.

Before investing in any of these computer programs, you
should determine your business needs, your personality, and
the overall cost. Keep in mind that you should keep
excellent financial records because you will be responsible
for tracking and taking out taxes for the year. With the
right accounting software, this is very easy to do.

Advantages of computer software

The advantages of computer software are many. You will be
able to track your marketing techniques to see if they are
effective, make changes instantly in order to increase
sales, and be able to communicate more frequently with
those who are on your email list.

Take advantage of these programs as they are available to
help you run your business in an organized, professional,
and efficient manner.

Build Your List

Why should you build a list? Because nothing gets done in
your business without a list of interested prospects, and
nothing gets done with your list of prospects without
regular contact.

Your mailing list needs to consist of people in your niche
who want to hear from you, who are interested in what you
have to say and what you have to offer. Because of this,
the most important list to grow is your own. You can buy
lists, share lists, promote to other people's lists, all of
which are extremely valuable, but your list is made of
people who have raised their hands to hear from you
personally, and will be your most responsive list to what
you have to offer, especially if you communicate with them
regularly with information that interests them.

Newsletters and regular email and/or postal mail contact
are major and necessary building blocks to grow your
business. Because of this, you'll need to set up systems to
maintain regular contact with your potential clients. The
best tool for systematizing email contact is a sequential
autoresponder.

What is an autoresponder service?

An autoresponder service is a service that sends out your
newsletter and announcement emails for you. Once you write
an email and tell the autoresponder when to send it, that's
it. It sends out an email to each person on your list,
according to whatever schedule you decide.

Why use an autoresponder?

1. An autoresponder will keep track of who got which email
when, with no need for any assistance from you. This can be
an incredible time-saver.

2. Sending out a bulk email from your own computer or
server looks suspicious to many internet service providers,
and could get blocked from reaching the intended recipient.
A good autoresponder service will have a great reputation
with internet service providers, and large numbers of
emails will get through to intended recipients.

3. If someone hits the "this is spam" button on their email
account, your emails to other recipients at the same
internet service provider will often get blocked too. You
then have to contact the internet service provider and
clear your name. If you have an autoresponder with a great
reputation, they will do this for you-- another incredible
time-saver.

4. Sending out an email with everyone's email address
viewable is not only unprofessional-looking, but it sets up
a situation for those addresses to get copied and pasted
onto a spammer's email list somewhere. By using an
autoresponder service, each recipient receives an email
addressed only to them.

How to choose an autoresponder service-

The best autoresponder services have great reputations
with internet service providers, and will keep track of
everything for you. All you have to do is write the emails
and paste the sign-up boxes for your newsletter on your
website.

Your autoresponder should offer an unlimited number of
lists, as well allowing fairly big numbers of people on
each list for one flat monthly fee, or at least a
reasonable scaling of price according to the size of list.

Your reward for staying in touch...

By building your list and staying in contact with them
through a service such as an autoresponder, you will create
familiarity, friendship, and trust. Since people buy from
people that they know, like and trust, you'll reap the
benefits of greater income, as well as doing business with
people who like and trust you- a winning formula all around.
