2 Ways To Advertise Your Business On The Internet For Very Little Money

2 Ways To Advertise Your Business On The Internet For Very Little Money
If you are one of the millions of people trying to figure
out how to get traffic to your website this article is for
you. Here are 2 ways you can advertise your business on the
internet, and it will not cost you very much money to do it.

1. Article Marketing

This means exactly what it says. You write and submit
articles to market you business. The easiest way to do that
is use Submit Your Article. With them you can write and
submit 8 articles a month. They in turn will submit your
article to hundreds of article directories for you.

With each article you are allowed to include a bio box.
This is a short classified ad resource box where you get
to promote yourself and your business. A good bio box is
one where your reader wants to click on the link to your
website to find out more information.

To get even better exposure for your article, Submit Your
Article offers a program called "Article Leverage" which
takes about 20 minute to complete. This is a very simple
program where you will rewrite your article into multiple
variations. It creates hundreds of unique variations which
are then submitted to various article directories.

To rewrite an article you will be asked to rewrite the
title, introduction, sentences within the body, the
closing, and your bio box. It is easy to do because you are
looking at the original and then rewriting it. I am serious
when I say it is very easy to do. If you can type you can
do this.

A membership with Submit Your Article is $37 a month.

2. Blogging

You should post short 250-300 word articles in your blog
several times a month. This could be once a week, or even
daily. How often depends on you. Just be consistent with it.

Hosting your own WordPress Blog with a social bookmarking
plugin in is the easiest way to promote your blog. You can
quickly bookmark each blog article to some of the most
popular social directories such as Google Bookmarks, Digg,
Stumbleupon, and Windows Live.

This is good for search engine bait. The search engines
spider these social directories all of the time. As you
bookmark to them on a regular basis they will start
spidering your blog more often too!

The benefit of this is more search engine traffic for the
your main keyword in your blog article. Over time you can
find yourself on page one of hundreds of search engine
results. This is free traffic and it is very targeted
traffic as well.

Google search "Jeff Houdyschell" and check out his blog
builder service. He will build you a WordPress blog for
less than $25. The other thing you can do is pick up a free
copy of 'The Authority Black Book" by Jack Humphrey. This
is a tremendous resource for learning everything you need
to know about Web 2.0 and maximizing your blog to get
unlimited free traffic.

3. Hire An Article Writer

Some of you do not want to write. You may not be good at
it, or you may be to busy to do it. In that case you should
hire an article writer to write for you. I am always amazed
at how many people will spend hundreds, or even thousands
of dollars a month on pay per click advertising and yet
they do not have an article marketing campaign going.

I am not suggesting to eliminate your ppc advertising
campaign. But I am saying that you ad to it by including
article marketing via article and social directories. This
is a long term approach to promoting your internet business.

Backlinks to your website or blog from the articles you
have all over the web can bring you traffic for years to
come. A ppc ad is gone the minute you quit paying for it.
You can view it this way. Pay Per Click advertising is
great for immediate traffic and article marketing is great
for long term residual traffic.

I have just showed you 2 ways to advertise your business on
the internet. These take a little bit of your time every
month. However, it is time well spent as there is nothing
more important you can do than work at getting quality
traffic to your website.

3 Response Killing Direct Mail Copywriting Mistakes & How to Easily Avoid Them

3 Response Killing Direct Mail Copywriting Mistakes & How to Easily Avoid Them
Your constant challenge as a direct mail copywriter is to
effectively communicate with target markets in their
language. Many writers specialize in one or two niche
areas. It doesn’t matter. Even seasoned writers
sometimes drop the ball and make easily avoidable mistakes.

Today we’ll discuss 3 common mistakes I’ve seen
in direct mail copywriting. More prevalent online but still
see some real blunders in offline copy. Put these DM
copywriting tips in your repertoire and use them.

You’ll see magic in your response rates and
conversions…

Response Killer #1: Leading with your product, or business,
and not with what the reader wants or is concerned about.

We’ve all heard it before, and you’ll hear it
again right now…the reader wants to know,
“What’s in it for me?” Overused? Maybe.
Tired? No! You and even your product is not important to
the prospect. They really and truly only want to know how
they’ll benefit. It’s sounds completely selfish
and it is. But it’s an undisputed reality. So
don’t fight it.

Avoid writing copy that discusses who your company is, your
corporate history and philosophy, or your goals and
objectives. Successful direct mail always focuses on the
prospect. What she wants. What her pains or difficulties in
life are. Your copy should address her problems and how
you’ll solve them as quickly as possible.

And what’s the best way to do this? Simple…

Do your due diligence. Talk to people in your target
market. Go where they go and learn about their problems.
Read their publications, attend the same functions, in
short…get into their world and find out what makes
them tick.

It’s the only way to know.

And when you know your target market, your copy will speak
their language and speak directly to them. Your response
will directly reflect the quality of your homework.
You’ll also be head and shoulders above many ad
agency writers who never leave their desks.

Response Killer #2: Failing to use copy that’s
proven to dramatically increase response. Some industry
people may think these words are passé, overused, or
no longer effective. And they’re wrong. These
response-boosters are used simply because they still work!

Words like…free, no obligation, no salesperson will
call you, limited time only, new, or ground-breaking. If
you use any of these words just make sure you’re
telling the truth about it. People aren’t dumb. If
you use, limited time only, and the prospect doesn’t
buy the first time but later receives a follow-up mailing
from you for the same limited time only offer…shame
on you. Consumes can have long memories and love to prove
themselves right and you wrong.

If you’re offering anything at no cost, tell them
it’s free. Tests have shown that using
“free” pulls a better response than not using
it. For example, a free brochure or a free sample. If
there’s no further obligation on their part, be sure
to tell them. You’ll see a better response.

The phrase, no salesman will call, has proven to have a
dramatic effect on response rates. And it’s simple.
People hate getting calls from salespeople. There’s
also a telemarketing stigma attached to any salesperson
calling. Just make darn sure no salesperson will call them!

People love products that have the aura of
“new” attached to it. A new product with new
ingredients or discoveries. Ground-breaking discoveries
have a way of capturing the attention of consumers.
There’s an element of excitement and hope that goes
along with something that’s ground-breaking. But
that’s with the consumer markets.

You’ll need to be careful with using new with
business markets and especially technology or scientific
related markets. Technical people are just as interested in
new discoveries. But there’s an element of
cautiousness or skepticism that goes along with
‘new’. So tread carefully if you’re
writing for these markets.

Response Killer #3: Misuse of features versus benefits. Of
course this is probably a rule known by anyone with an
inkling about copywriting. But this copy device calls for
knowing exactly who your target market is and understanding
what’s important to them.

Direct mail to non-business consumers calls for telling
them the benefits they’ll receive when they buy your
product or service. What’s in it for them. But B2B
marketing can be quite different.

Technical and scientific markets want to know features
perhaps more so than benefits. Both can be discussed but a
greater weight would fall on features. They want to know
the “specs” depending on what your product is.
They want hard information about tech data so they can make
the most intelligent decisions about whether or not they
need, or can even use, your product.

They do not want promises. They want to know what it does,
what it will do for them as soon as they start using it.
Hard data and not benefits.

Your job as a copywriter is to find out what your prospects
want to know and what they need. And then talk to them in
their language about how to get it.

The Three Essentials of Search Engine Optimization SEO

The Three Essentials of Search Engine Optimization SEO
There are of course many factors that go into your online
success; everything from lead generation to having the
proper advertising system in place. However there is one
element which you will find indispensable to your online
success and that is web site search engine optimization
commonly referred to as SEO.

SEO refers to the process of constructing your website in
such a way that it is looked at favorably by search engines
like MSN, The Google and Yahoo. This in turn leads to
higher rankings, more internet traffic and free advertising
for your website. What makes seo optimization so important
is the fact that over 80% of your site traffic will arrive
via the search engines. For this reason alone, having a
good web site seo strategy in place is essential.

There are a variety of factors you need to consider when
putting together your strategy but these three standout in
particular:

1. Keyword Prominence

Where do your keyword search terms show up first? Usually
the closer your keywords appear to the top of the page, the
more prominence search engines give them. This is because
they crawl the html code of your site before the content.
Putting keyword search terms into places such as your title
can give you a distinct advantage over other webmasters who
only use keywords in their content. The trick is not to
overdo it by stuffing too many keywords (or worst keyword
search terms that have no relation to your web content)
into the head tags of your html code.

2. Inbound Link

Back in the day, it was vital to get reciprocal links to
your website. Search engines placed a lot of importance on
who you were linking to and vice versa. Not anymore.
Instead of link exchange, search engines are placing more
value on inbound links commonly referred to as backlinks.
In essence, search engines view this as a kind of referral
system. One site is recommending another without having to
reciprocate.

To make backlinks really work, you must get them from sites
which already rank well in the search engines. All of this
does not mean reciprocal links are of no value. A quality
link exchange is still looked upon favorably by the search
engines and you should definitely use this technique for
your website. But concentrate on getting those inbound
links first and foremost.

3. Web Site Content

While search engines do value your keyword prominence and
amount of backlinks to your site it still comes down to
what's on your webpage. The internet is at the dawning of a
video revolution but that only means more information will
be required. Content is king and will be for a long time.

Write as many unique and quality articles as possible and
place them on your website. If you want to, you can
outsource this process or just visit the article
directories and find content related to your niche and use
it on your website. Be sure to read the term and conditions
in regards to using other people's articles. Grow your web
content slowly, so it looks more natural to the search
engines. Update the information frequently.

The importance of web site search engine optimization
cannot be overstated. A site that is ranked favorably can
bring in tons of free internet traffic. Evaluate your
keyword prominence; focus on getting good inbound links
while concentrating on providing useful web site content
and the search engines will start bringing more and more
internet traffic to your website.

Google Adwords Top Tips - Part 4

Google Adwords Top Tips - Part 4
Welcome to part 4 in this 5 part series of top google
adwords tips.

Google AdWords is one of the best advertising tools on the
Internet, but only if you know how to implement Adwords
properly to achieve maximum potential. So what exactly
should you be doing to ensure that you get the best
possible results from Adwords? We have put together the
following tips to help you get those all important click
throughs and conversion rates.

1. Avoid 'Casual Clickers'

Because clicks equal costs, it's important to make them
count. To that end, it's just as important to discourage
'casual traffic' as it is to encourage proper customers. To
do this, include text that stops people from clicking your
ad at random, while simultaneously encouraging potential
customers.

For example if you include a price in your ad, lookieloos
may think it is too expensive for them in the first place
and therefore not bother clicking the ad at all. Serious
customers, on the other hand, are more likely to click on
an ad with all the relevant info displayed.

2. Be cautious of content-based Ads (The Content Network)

Some people find that the quality of traffic that comes
directly from a Google search, as apposed to from
content-based ads, is far more likely to converting into a
sale. This is something you want to keep an eye on for
yourself, particularly in the early stages of your AdWords
campaign. Our advice would be to NOT use the Content
Network initially unless you know what you are doing.

3. Drop the WWW

That's right, make sure you drop the WWW at the start of
your display URL. This gives you more room for those
all-important trigger words and keywords.
Example:
www.storefront.com/trial.asp - BAD
StoreFront.com/FreeTrial - GOOD

4. Understand the Google broad match

What's broad matching? From the horse's mouth: 'If you
include general keyword or keyword phrases - such as tennis
shoes - in your keyword list, your ads will appear when
users search for tennis and shoes, in any order, and
possibly along with other terms.'

Google will often show your ads when people search for
similar or related topics to the keyword in question using
synonyms or much more general terms. It will also show your
ad on totally irrelevant searches. You will still get
clicks on these, but not very many.

A very low CTR is usually an indicator that your ads are
being shown for unrelated searches to people that aren't
interested. It may still be a good keyword to bid for, but
remember: bid appropriately!

5. Focus on your best keywords first

This is especially true when you have a small or limited
budget. Often, it can mean dropping or reducing the general
terms like 'Stereos' or 'Sound Systems' in favour of
specific terms relevant to your site - these more specific
terms often convert into sales better. For example, use
'Sony XC 2000' as opposed to the broader terms.

6. Optimise your landing page

People will leave instantly if they don't perceive your
site offers what they want 'at a glance'. Furthermore,
there are a myriad of techniques that can be followed to
maximise your chances of a conversion by getting your
landing page to act more like your Number 1 sales person.
The landing page should effectively: sell your product,
explain the benefits and make things clear in order to
easily complete that conversion.
Keep checking back because we are putting together some
easy to follow quick tips for landing pages.

7. Include keywords in your Ad Text

Include your keywords in your ad text (especially the
title) to show users that your ad relates to their search.
If your ad shows when a user searches on a keyword in your
Ad Group, the keyword will appear in bold in your ad text.
In addition, remember that users tend to search for
products and services, so avoid using your company name in
the ad title unless your goal is brand/company name
recognition. To do this you need to split your keywords
around tight themes and show a relevant ad for your top
keywords.

8. Create simple, enticing Ads

What makes your product or service stand out from your
competitors? Highlight these key differences in your ad,
and be sure to describe any unique features or promotions
you offer.

9. Use a strong call-to-action

Your ad should convey a call-to-action along with the
benefits of your product or service. A call-to-action
encourages users to click on your ad and ensures they
understand exactly what you expect them to do when they
reach your landing page. Some call-to-action phrases are:
Buy, Sell, Order, Browse, Sign up and Get a Quote.

10. Make your website a fully-optimised conversion machine

Ultimately, your website determines how well your ads
convert. Be sure it is designed to let users complete the
action you want them to take.

Typical internet users decide quickly whether to stay on a
website or move on to another. When users click on your ad,
they should arrive on a landing page clearly displaying the
information or product offered in your ad. If users do not
immediately find what prompted them to click on your ad,
they are more likely to leave your site without converting.

How I Got 70,000 Useless Visitors To My Site In One Day! ( Analysis of Social Bookmark Traffic)

How I Got 70,000 Useless Visitors To My Site In One Day! ( Analysis of Social Bookmark Traffic)
Recently, a page on one of my websites was bookmarked or
listed on Digg, a popular social bookmark site. It gave me
the perfect opportunity to study and analyze the traffic
coming from these social media sites. Read to discover the
advantages and disadvantages of social bookmark traffic and
how it can be applied to your own online marketing or site.

Is Social BookMark Traffic Useless?

First, we must make the distinction that no traffic is
useless. Any visitor to your site is a good thing and
should be welcomed. However, all traffic is not created
equally, there are great differences in the sources of your
traffic. This article takes a close analytical look at
social bookmark traffic from an internet marketing
perspective.

In case you haven't noticed, right now social bookmark and
media sites are all the rage on the web. Social bookmark
traffic comes from such popular sites as Slashdot, Digg,
Stumbleupon... basically these sites are driven by their
users - that is, users or members pick and bookmark the
content they want to view and discuss.

These social bookmark sites are extremely popular; they
command the high traffic numbers most ordinary sites can
only dream about obtaining.

But is this social bookmark traffic useful?

Is it worth your time? Should you be actively promoting to
these social media sites? Should you concentrate your
online marketing efforts on these types of sites? More
importantly, what are the benefits and disadvantages of
getting a front page listing on a sites like Digg or
Stumbleupon?

As a full-time online marketer I wanted to know the answers
to those questions. Moreover, I wanted to discover how or
if I could use these sites from an online marketer's
advantage; i.e. how can they help me create more online
income.

Recently, the Digg listing gave me a first-hand opportunity
to really study these sites.

Of course, nothing happens without a reason... I did
actually court these social bookmark sites by placing the
free Addthis.com bookmark on all my pages. You can do the
same. Just use this simple bookmark to attract these sites.

But be careful; getting your site featured on the front
page of these sites can drive 100,000's of visitors to your
site immediately, so much traffic that it may overtax your
server and crash it.

So be warned; if you're actively promoting to these social
bookmark sites just make sure your servers or web hosting
is up to the demanding task of handling all these sudden
visitors.

In my case, it didn't crash my servers but unfortunately,
the page/link in question featured an old poorly written
article I did on the history of the Internet. Why it was
even featured on Digg is a puzzle and beyond me.

But still I am not one to waste an opportunity, so I put my
Google Analytics into overdrive and starting analyzing
these visitors and social bookmark traffic.

It pointed out some very interesting factors about this
bookmark traffic.

Most of this traffic will:

* simply bounce back

* very few visitors will spend much time on your site

* very few visitors will even venture into your site

* very few will sign-up to your newsletter

* very few will enter your marketing follow-ups/funnels

(The unknown variable here being the content on your site,
how good it is? How well does it perform?)

Regardless, one common problem with traffic from these
sites, it's very temporary traffic. The high volume will
only last a few days... until your item is moved back from
the front page.

These visitors will not stay on your site long and most are
gone within seconds, never to be seen again. A few may sign
up to your newsletter or venture to other areas of your
site but not many.

Social bookmark traffic is very fleeting, like customers in
the drive-thru section in a fast food restaurant, they grab
the content and surf back to the major linking site very
quickly and surf on to the next item.

This traffic will behave very differently than organic
traffic from the search engines, or from your newsletter
traffic or from traffic in your marketing funnels. Much
different.

It was unlike getting one of my articles featured in Addme
or SiteProNews, where I can easily get 200 or 300 new
subscribers in a day. Plus, these visitors are interested
in my information and have been exposed to my content
(article) before coming to my site.

So there was no comparison; I would take the traffic from
these sites any day over traffic from the social bookmark
sites. And I would take free organic traffic from the
search engines over any other source of traffic.

So the question remains - is social bookmark traffic
useless?

First, as I mentioned before, you must realize no traffic
is useless; any visitors to your site is a good thing.
Without traffic your site is worthless, just a few files
sitting on a server in the middle of nowhere.

Obtaining visitors is one of your first objectives as a
webmaster. You must get visitors to your site or it's game
over.

The best kind of traffic is traffic coming from organic
search, visitors who come from the search engines seeking
exactly what you're offering on your site. These are
targeted visitors who will consider your offer, real your
information, maybe buy a product or sign-up to your
newsletter or follow-up system. They often become repeat
visitors to your site. These are your ideal visitors. This
is the kind of traffic you want.

Social bookmark/media traffic is different but it does have
some saving graces.

Mainly it can help expose your site to millions and help
brand your site or business. It can get the word out about
your site. Start a buzz.

If you have a site that appeals to the mass market, then
these social sites could be an excellent recruiting ground
for visitors and traffic.

These social sites are good for another reason; getting
your links on all these high traffic, high PR7 and PR8
sites can't hurt your search engine rankings. Once featured
on a site like Digg, your link will appear on many
secondary sites around the web, so far 500+ and counting.
Monkey see, monkey do. Although it has never been my main
ambition to get featured on Fark.com, all these sites do
have high PR ranks so from a SEO standpoint it is not
necessarily a bad thing.

Since many of these visitors will be using the Firefox
browser which has the Alexa toolbar embedded - your site's
traffic rank will increase. Over 50% of the bookmark
traffic coming to my site were using the Firefox browser.
Alexa's traffic rankings are not a true picture of the
web's traffic but it's a good measuring stick, nonetheless.

Google might even consider it when ranking your site.
Google basically considers their whole indexing system as
a democratic voting structure... sites give a vote by
linking to your content; wouldn't it also be reasonable to
assume more traffic means more votes. So wouldn't getting a
lot of traffic or being featured on a site like Digg where
the users vote to propel the best content to the front be
the ultimate vote.

One strange thing I did notice, for some reason the traffic
from Stumbleupon was different. These visitors stayed
longer on my site and reacted more like organic traffic.
Maybe the Stumbleupon site is of a higher quality and this
may have been reflected in the quality of the visitors
coming from there. It also reminded me, all traffic from
these social media sites can't be judged with the one brush.

This whole experience also pointed out another important
factor; it made me realize how unsuited my content is for
the general web surfer or the mainstream web. All my sites
and content were planned and organized to first draw in
targeted (warmed up) visitors from free organic search and
from my online articles.

If I or anyone wanted to take advantage of this social
media traffic, you would have to create your site/content
to appeal to these surfers and then somehow draw them into
your marketing funnels. I don't know if the majority of
the users of these bookmark sites would make good
prospects, but my guess is not very likely, the nature of
the beast. But it would largely depend on what you're
offering on your site and how well it is suited to these
users.

So I am not drawing any conclusions yet.

Hopefully, I will have further chances to study traffic
from these social sites and get the long-term effects,
especially in regards to my keyword rankings in the search
engines before making any final judgments.

For now I will keep an open mind but the jury is still way
out whether or not social bookmark traffic is worth the
interruption to the daily marketing tasks of your site.
Just seems like much ado about nothing.

SEO Tips - The 10 Don'ts of SEO

SEO Tips - The 10 Don'ts of SEO
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is often an expensive
exercise both in terms of time and money.

Here is a list of 10 of the worst mistakes you could make,
that at worst could get your website banned, and if you are
lucky, their implementation would just impede your success
in achieving higher organic search engine positions.

SEO Tips - 10 Don'ts Of SEO

1. Keyword stuffing. Needlessly stuffing your keywords on
your web pages will sound nonsense not only to your human
visitors but also the search engines. This tactic could
actually harm your rankings.

2. Don't move or remove a popular page. By keeping a
regular eye on your website statistics you should be aware
of your current popular pages. If you need to reorganise
your site structure then remember to 301 redirect via
.htaccess from the old location to the new one.

3. Do not use images in navigation. For the moment at least
images mean nothing to search engines. It is therefore
preferable to use text links in your navigation and use CSS
for styling. If there is no getting away from from using
images then do not forget to use the ALT attribute and put
relevant (keywords) text in there.

4. Do not use an incorrect robot.txt file. An incorrect
robot.txt file can totally stop search engine traffic. A
single incorrect command in this file can block an entire
folder. If you need to use a robot.txt file then make sure
you know what you are doing.

5. Do not procrastinate. SEO begins at the initial website
structure planning stage and never ends. There may be lots
of work involved but the sooner you start the sooner you
will reap the rewards.

6. Do not exchange links with everyone. Always keep in mind
that outgoing links to disreputable or unrelated websites
can adversely affect your search engine rankings.

7. Do not forget your human visitors. Do not neglect your
human visitors, remember that eventually it's the human
visitors who are going to do business with you, so keep
them first. Reputed SEO consultants believe that websites
that are human-friendly are search-engine-friendly
automatically.

8. Do not forget to use analytics tools. Analytics tools
like Google Analytics and others help you know how much
traffic you are getting from various sources including
search engines. They also tell you which are your popular
pages and for what keywords you attract maximum number of
visitors.

9. Do not focus on too few keywords. The previous point
mentioned long tail keywords. Your main keywords may get
you lots of traffic from few sources, but your long tail
keywords can get you small chunks of traffic from many
sources

10. Do not be impatient. You cannot be impatient as
everything takes its own time. For instance it may take
more than 5 months for your website to even start appearing
in the search results. That's why, the sooner you begin,
the better it is.

Work at Home - The 3 Step Rescue Mission for Any Failing or Low Producing Home Business

Work at Home - The 3 Step Rescue Mission for Any Failing or Low Producing Home Business
Traffic...More Traffic...Massive Traffic...Equals
Profits...More Profits...Massive Profits. It's a simple
formula that no Work at Home, Home Business, Online
Business, or Inspiring Internet Entrepreneur can afford to
ignore. A web site is like a bottomless belly, that can
never be filled, and we must never fall for the illusion
that our current performance level is enough. The more
traffic you are able to drive to your web site, the greater
financial opportunity you will provide for you and your
family. This is the only way to keep any business which has
any internet presence at all alive. We all need Traffic.
Now, you need to say it for the success of your business,
and for the sake of your dreams. Say, I need Traffic, and
lots of it.

May we sojourn.

We all heard location...location...location. This has
proven to be the "success formula" for traditional
businesses. We now are apart of a much greater age, with
opportunity so phenomenal, that if it was told to
graveyards far and wide, the earth would shake for the
multitudes who would turn in their grave. I believe that
some would give their historical fame and accomplishments
to be apart of this internet age. I believe that the same
would go on to astound the world with far greater
accomplishments, which would ignite a flame that would
transcend their current historical accomplishments, to the
point of making them appears as a match without the gasping
life of ascending smoke.

Today in our day and age the word is no longer
location...location...location. Rather Traffic...More
Traffic...Massive Traffic. While we agree on this truth.
The question becomes, how in the world do we drive the
traffic necessary to be a powerful 5-6 figure monthly
income giant online. This question and the inability to
answer it, is the reason for the 98.5% failure rate for
Work at Home online businesses. With those odds...Let's
take our chances in the corporate world, right? WRONG! DEAD
WRONG!! The 40/40 plan will never be right. Recall to your
remembrance what your parents or meaningful adult told you
before. Two wrongs don't, and never will make a right.
Anything, but Corporate American.

So, what is the solution? Very simple do what the "Internet
Hot Shots " have done. Learn where to get the tools, and
then get the tools to drive massive amounts of traffic to
your website. More importantly apply the tools, without
ceasing and drive with persistence until you realize your
dream. That's what all the boosters of huge incomes online
have done.

I shake my head at those who purposely seek to keep the
masses in the dark when it comes to such a crucial
necessity as driving traffic to your web site. They do this
with the outlandish idea that the internet can be saturated.

This evening I was on a conference call, and heard this
gent ask about saturation on the internet. I was not
hosting the call, so didn't want to elect myself as such,
by answering his question. However, I would have answered
him with this thought provoking question. Name, how many
stars are in this one galaxy that we are apart of. I would
have then asked this fellow gent, how far apart do the
stars appear to him at the distance in which he can see
them. Point being, that with millions of stars in our
galaxy, the star are still yet so far away from each other,
providing room for constant growth without saturation. Now,
when you consider in my opinion, the Internet is mans best
attempt to imitate Gods creation of the universe. Thus if
our galaxy can conceal millions upon millions of stars,
with out saturation, then I have no other choice but to
believe that the internet can handle 1000's of successful
internet marketers without saturation.

So, why keep the seekers in the dark? There is no reason at
all. With this in mind...my concept is to share it all.

5 Website Content & Design Mistakes That Kill Conversions

5 Website Content & Design Mistakes That Kill Conversions
It’s sad but true. Most of us humans shoot ourselves
in the foot in countless ways. And the same applies to very
basic, avoidable website mistakes that only encourage
visitors to exit stage right. You have more than enough
issues and obstacles getting visitors to your all-important
piece of web real estate.

Today I’ll show you 5 conversion landmines that you
can do something about right away if they apply to your
websites. The fixes are easy and will help you get the most
out of your business.

Fatal Mistake #1: Small font sizes, low contrast between
your text and the background, and fixed font sizes will
drive a hefty percentage of your visitors to your
competitors. Not good. Keep one thing in mind about your
visitors. And you do have to engage in some thinking about
your market which I hope you have already done before
building your site.

There are people of all ages and with varying degrees of
good health on the web. You know that. Older folks have
more difficulty with smaller fonts and low contrast between
text and background. But younger people are much more
impatient and will quickly tire of straining to read a lot
of small text. And research has definitely shown that
everyone scans web text. It’s much harder to scan
small text.

The best contrast combination is black text on white
background. But if you must use colored background, make
the colors compatible with each other and avoid giving
people a headache with bright colors. No one likes
headaches.

Respect the user’s preference to change the text size
if they want! And if you’re using CSS style sheets,
then avoid disabling the user’s ability to resize
text. Show your users some respect and it’ll be
another feather in your cap.

Fatal Mistake #2: Avoid using unfamiliar link formats. Or,
use unfamiliar link formats at your own peril. The
guidelines are very basic. For text links, make text that
can be clicked-on totally obvious. Most people have come to
expect text links to be blue. And underline the text links.
Avoid underlining non-link text.

If your site has many links, consider using code to
distinguish between visited and unvisited links. It’s
just a courtesy to your visitors and they’ll
appreciate it. Your visitors will appreciate helpful link
information such as what they can expect to find on the
other end of the link. Having important information in text
links will also make it easier to scan and be helpful for
SEO purposes.

Fatal Mistake #3: If you write your own content, and you
aren’t a copywriter, you’ll need to pay
attention in this area. Appropriately written web content
is short, easy to scan, to the point, written in common
language for the most part…depends on your market,
and written to some level just below a high school
education. Perhaps hard to believe but it’s true.

Content that cannot be scanned is nothing but painful to
your visitors. If your font size is small, as
well…it’s the kiss of death. There are a few
techniques you can use to make scanning easier.

Use short paragraphs of 3 to 4 sentences. Keep your
sentences relatively short and direct. Subheads and bullet
lists help to keep things interesting. Use a simple writing
style. It isn’t formal writing for school. And avoid
using terms that most people may not know.

Fatal Mistake #4: Avoid opening links in a new browser
window. There are some exceptions you may want to consider.
A link to a PDF file would be best to open in a new browser
window. Beyond that, keep your visitors on your site.

Opening a new window can be irritating because it increases
the number of click motions required to deal with all the
windows. The new window has a disabled back button…as
you know. More clicks. More aggravation. See ya! Fatal
Mistake #5: How can they be unfriendly? Simple. Have you
ever added a page to your Favorites, then later you tried
to find it? You were thinking about the site URL, or topic
maybe. But low and behold…you found it under
“T” for “The…”. Or the page
title was not quite on the topic mark for the main theme.

Also, appropriate and smart page titles will help your site
with the search engines. If you rely on organic positioning
in search, then you’ll want your most important and
relevant keywords and phrases in your page titles.

These 5 website conversion tips are but a few in the larger
scheme of things. But they’re a great place to start
and easy to implement. So go check your own site and see
how you’re doing.

A beginner's guide to selling eBooks on eBay

A beginner's guide to selling eBooks on eBay
There are many business owners who have been able to find a
niche in digital product sales like eBooks due to the
continuous growth in eBay, which is a big marketplace for
auctions. The number of eBay sellers is growing and due to
this many people are enjoying consistent profit with the
sale of digital information through eBook sourcing which
offers the right to resell. Due to this and with the access
to numerous digital products, they can sell the products
repeatedly.

The products that are being sold are digital and hence,
sellers can easily resell for profit without any shipping
costs involved or inventory problems. EBooks get delivered
to customers through email, in the form of a digital
download. According to many business owners, eBooks are the
best products that can be sold online and various
advantages are also associated with it.

There is absolutely no inventory to stock. EBooks are not
only easy and fast to create, but fast to market as well.
The startup cost for selling eBooks on eBay is much less
than physical products. Immediate delivery and access is
provided to the customers. The process of selling and
delivery is automated. No handling and shipping charges.

The market for eBooks has widened because of so many
sellers jumping into this field. Now customers can find a
wide variety of products to choose from. If you also want
to start selling on eBay then there are few steps that you
can follow for success:

Register as a seller: The process to register with eBay is
not at all complicated. In fact it is so easy that within 5
minutes you become a member.

Selection of digital products: You can either create
digital products on your own or buy eBooks that have the
rights to resell. If you use the latter option then you
will be able to start selling easily and quickly because
you will be having ready created the eBooks to sell. This
will save a lot of time since you will not have to create
or research further.

Host eBooks: It is important to host your eBooks on the
World Wide Web if you want them to be delivered to the
right customers. Once the eBook is hosted it will be easy
to send potential customers a link from where the eBook can
be downloaded.

Creation of a listing as "buy it now" or auction: You can
make use of the easy tools provided by eBay for the
creation of a listing, as a "buy it now" or auction format.
Always remember that whenever you make a listing for the
digital product you are planning to sell, it should have a
very professional look and customers should be attracted to
it. In order to make your listing attractive and special,
you can use colors and graphics.

How to Create a Squeeze Web Page

How to Create a Squeeze Web Page
A “squeeze” web page – sometimes called a
landing page – is a web page specifically designed to
solicit opt-in e-mail addresses from potential customers or
subscribers. Users enter their name and e-mail, typically
in return for a free download such as a white paper or
e-course. Most squeeze pages have four main sections:

1. Headline – Grab the user’s attention quickly
with a captivating offer.
2. Sub headline – Pull the visitor deeper into your
message.
3. List of benefits – Highlight exactly
“what’s in it for them!”
4. Subscription (opt-in) form – The
“submit” button that captures the e-mail
address.

Here are 4 easy steps for getting it done:

1. Create your web page Since squeeze pages are so
formulaic, you can do-it-yourself, or outsource to a
squeeze page specialist. Consider SiteBuildIt or Squeeze
Page Generator if you go the do-it-yourself route. I
outsource to a web designer at Webmasterforhire.biz.
Another web design firm is Retina.ro.

2. Craft your opt-in offer Squeeze page offers are often
“information products,” such as free reports,
e-courses, e-zine subscriptions or other compelling
“introductory” offers, often available for
instant download when your visitor opts in. Perhaps
you’ve already written an article that could be
repurposed as an information product offer. Review some
successful squeeze pages and offers to get ideas for your
product offer. A few examples include: 136 Ways to Market
Your Business, Client Abundance , and Achieve Your Dream
Coaching.

3. Use an autoresponder You can automate the entire
process, from opt-in and follow-up e-mails to sales and
fulfillment, with an autoresponder and “shopping
cart” software. These programs also allow list
management, e-newsletters, product downloads, and other
features. Aweber is one popular autoresponder service. I
use Easy Web Automation. If you’re selling products
online, you’ll also need a service like PayPal.

4. E-Mail responsibly As you grow your list, you can build
trust and credibility over time by communicating with your
database. Stay in contact with useful, relevant information
and don’t make the mistake of spamming your list.
Once you’ve proven your value to your members, you
can begin to market your products or services. Pink Spoon
Marketing is a great example of utilizing a “product
funnel” for your database. (It’s also another
example of an effective squeeze page.) Many autoresponders
include e-mail newsletter functions. Another option is an
e-mail service such as Constant Contact.

One other thing to keep in mind:

Google recently changed the way they rank squeeze pages, so
keep the following in mind for best results:
•Squeeze pages should no longer be single page
websites – 4 or 5 pages is best
•Site content should be about 200 words
•Include links on your home page linking to your
pages with similar content
•Place the links at the bottom of your home page
•Talk to your webmaster about site optimization

AdSense Farming Reaps Daily Profits

AdSense Farming Reaps Daily Profits
You keep hearing about all these people making a fortune on
AdSense. But have you ever met one of them? Same here;
never.

I’ve bought ebooks promising overnight success, but
never made the big bucks. Then I realized that making money
from AdSense is a lot like farming. Some crops (keywords)
yield a higher price than others and the more fields you
have planted, the better your chances.

Of course, your “field” is a website that can
be had for next to nothing so even small profits are pretty
much all profit. Btw – I’m not making a fortune
but I make an average of $3.50 per day; about $105 a month,
per site.

I’ll show you exactly how I did it, step-by-step.

First, if you don't already have one, sign up for a free
Adsense account at http://www.google.com/adsense. But do
NOT get your ad code yet. I have some tips that can triple
your response rates - and income.

Second, if you want killer free information about your
visitors and some really nice metrics information, get your
free Google Analytics account at
http://www.google.com/analytics/.

Third, sign up with http://www.WhyParkWeb.com or a similar
service. Just be sure to pick one that can create content
rich, search engine optimized sites for you automatically.
That’s how you make your AdSense money. When I
registered for this service it was $99 and would let you
have 100 automatically created websites – forever,
with no additional fees.

Now here are some tips from a 9 year veteran search engine
optimization specialist that will put your sites over the
top! Let's do this by the numbers...

#1 Find the best keywords

Google gets more searches than any other search engine so
let’s peek into their database. Check out
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and
type in any keyword or phrase you can think of that you
think your target audience is looking for.

Try to use specific keyword phrases whenever possible. If
you have a web-page that deals with floral delivery,
instead of “flowers”, which has 233,000,000
competing pages on Google, try “send flowers”,
which has 1/10th the number of competing pages. Better yet,
think like people speak (I.E./ I’m sending flowers to
my mom.) As it turns out, a lot more people are searching
for “sending flowers” than are searching
“send flowers” and – here’s the
best part – “sending flowers” has less
than 1% of the competing web-pages as the search term we
started with, “flowers”. Now that’s
impressive! You have an advantage over about 99.5% of your
competitors with just this tip.

#2 Write a killer title Google loves

Take your most important specific and general keyword
phrases and put them together, specific first; general
second. Let's use "sending flowers" and "flowers". Now
separate the keywords or phrases by a pipe (that vertical
key over the Enter/Return key). We now have "sending
flowers | flowers". Now go back and grab one or two more
relevant keywords like "wedding flowers" and "Mothers Day"
and combine them like this "sending flowers | flowers for
weddings, Mothers Day and more".

Now you've covered all your bases and build a fantastic
keyword rich title that won't look like keyword spamming.
You can also change the Mothers Day to Valentines Day,
Easter, as needed.

#3 Write a META description that gets you noticed

This is important. Not only can this tip alone get you
ahead of most competitors, but it's also what readers see
of your site before they decide to visit. You need to write
something for people, but that search engines will like.
Don't worry. It's a lot easier than it sounds.

Take all of your keywords and line them up in order of
importance. Since "sending flowers" gets more searches than
any other, let's start there and use the same logic for the
rest. Now we have, in order, "sending flowers", "flowers",
"wedding flowers", and "Mothers Day." Now improve your
keyword prominence (relevance based on position) by using
your best keyword in the beginning of the description:
"Sending flowers has never been easier. Here you will find
inside tips on the least expensive ways to send the
freshest wedding flowers, Mothers Day arrangements or
whatever else you need.”

We used all of our keywords without overloading the text
and broke it up a little by adding some detail. It works
great! Just try to keep the description at or under 250
characters (including spaces).

#4 Add great content

Why Park does 99.9% of the work for you. All you have to do
is enter your keywords into the article finder provided by
the "Research Your Keywords" link (located beside the
keywords box.)

Without using any imagination at all, I found 172 articles
in a few seconds...

sending flowers - 5 flowers - 151 wedding flowers - 16

Total Articles: 172

Add "roses" and get another 59! That's 231 articles in 10
seconds. You get the idea - more general related keywords
can take you over the top and give you a huge, content-rich
search engine friendly site, in seconds!

#5 Use the best-pulling AdSense ad style and color
combination

My click-through rate (CTR) tripled when I switched to this
format.

Select ad size 336 x 280. If that's too big, try 300 x 250.
And try to make your ad border and ad background colors the
same as your Website's background color. It helps it blend
in and take away some of the "advertisement" feel. It's
also usually best to go with the standard blue hyperlink
color for the actual links.

#6 Get submitted to major search engines fast and free

I use this place all the time. They submit your site to 40
search engines instantly, for free

http://www.submitexpress.com/.

You’re ready!

You can do this - Good luck!
