Heaven". Okay, maybe not the sharpest title, but it would
certainly tell human readers (and the search engines) what
your article is about.

Take the research you've done and split it into seven major
benefits for people searching online for information to
help them create their own Japanese Garden.

Your lead might be something like this: "Imagine the calm
and simple serenity you could enjoy strolling through your
very own Japanese Garden..."

Then take each of the seven steps you mentioned in the
title and turn each one into a section for your article. If
you want a short piece, make each section one paragraph
long. If you want something more substantial, make each
section two or three paragraphs long.

When you reach the conclusion do these two things:
1. Sum up your article's lead or title in your final
paragraph (including the keyword or keyword phrase)
2. Quit!

Use this basic structure for writing articles and you'll
find it amazingly easy to create very successful,
keyword-focussed material that will bring visitors flocking
to your website -- even if you don't think of yourself as a
writer!

whether it's a huge multinational or a little one-person
operation run from home, is that of tracking and containing
costs. There absolutely no point in running a business

spreadsheet in Excel, with headings for a few columns, but
first decide a limit for your monthly business expenses.

In an earlier article we discussed the importance of
carefully considering your personal finances before
commencing the business start-up steps. Given all other
expenses versus income it should not be too difficult to
arrive at an affordable monthly amount. It is also
important to gain the commitment of your spouse or partner,
so that there is agreement up-front regarding a monthly
spending limit, and also for the period that you wish/are
able to carry these costs, before you reach a break-even
point.

If you have Office or similar on your computer, there are
numerous ready-made templates available for your use, and
if not, a quick search on the internet will find many
options freely available. The essence is to keep it as
simple as possible. You basically need one side of the
spreadsheet for income, and the other for expenses.

A date for each entry with enough space for brief details -
the amount carried forward to a column for each type of
expenditure and a total at the end. Excel will do the
arithmetic for you, as you simply add up each column at
month-end, and carry totals to the monthly figures at
bottom-right for income and expenditure. If you were
fortunate enough to do a little book-keeping at school,
this exercise will be a breeze, and if so I apologize for
boring you with silly details! In the interim, a little
time spent each month will enable you to keep track of how
well you're doing, and enable you to have a little
celebration when you start to make a profit!

What we're doing in this exercise, is laying the
foundations for later on, when your business really gets
going. It's also important to keep copies of invoices
safely stored somewhere. You may not need them now, but you
will need to show income for your version of Internal
Revenue, one day.

Remember - you're not doing this for fun! You're starting
your business with your own goals in mind, and your plan is
to work from home. If that income is sufficient for you to
live on, then someone will come looking to tax you one
day... One of the few things certain about life is that
you will pay tax! If you have kept your records carefully,
you will be able to show that you have incurred legitimate
expenses in generating your income. (Won't this be a nice
problem to have, anyway?)

Tax laws vary around the world, and you may need to take
professional advice one day to keep on the right side of
the law. Your little spreadsheet, combined with the copies
of invoices will make that task much easier.

started" training provided by each, we'll discuss some more
steps to take to make things start to happen.

assumes only a page with good content would get great
inbound links it puts about 70% of the importance for

Part 1: Perfect Your Anchor Text

So just what is anchor text and why is it important? Anchor
text is the clickable word or words that make up the
hyperlink. You've seen anchor text a million times (the
underlined words that are typically blue.) Google figures
any words special enough to be used as a guide in a link
are extra valuable, which makes anchor text extremely
important for you to use properly.

Just how powerful is anchor text? More than most people
dream. Try an experiment. Go to Google and search for
"click here" (without quotes.) The top match for years has
been a page for Adobe Acrobat Reader. So does that Adobe
page have "click here" copied 50 times in the text? No. In
fact "click here" does not even appear on the page a single
time! Does it have "click here" embedded in its META tags.
No; again, not even once.

So how can it possibly rank number 1 on Google for a term
it never even references? Because of the thousands of
Webpages that use "click here" as the anchor text linking
to Adobe's free download of Acrobat Reader.

By the way, did you happen to notice how many pages Adobe
beat out for a term they never optimized themselves for?
Almost Two Billion! So yes, I have to say anchor text is
extremely powerful.

Part 2: Build Linking Consistency

Most people don't realize that even though
http://www.Wikipedia.com and http://Wikipedia.com lead to
the same Wikipedia homepage, they are seen as two different
links by Google. Let's take it a step further. If you keep
the "www" and lose the "http" you have another link that
goes to the same place but is treated as unique by Google.

All that said; be as consistent as possible when requesting
links. Find one format and stick to it. One hundred inbound
links to the exact same URL is much better than 25 links
each, using four different URLs that lead to the same place.

Part 3: PageRank Leads to Page Rank

Google's PageRank algorithm can make or break your search
engine optimization efforts and plays a big part in your
eventual Webpage rankings. So PageRank and page rank?
Here's a tip to end the confusion. When you see the single
word "PageRank" it is referring to a trademarked name that
Google owns. PageRank is a unit of measure that Google
developed, and uses to determine the value of a Webpage.
When you see the words "page rank" we are merely talking
about how a Webpage ranks, or is positioned on a search
engine for a given keyword.

So how does it work? A page with a GPR of 6 is considered
very important by Google, while a page with a GPR of 0 is
not so much. If you get links from pages with high GPRs you
will build your own PageRank. If you get links from pages
with no GPR, they can still help you but do not lend any
additional PageRank credibility.

Higher GPR leads to more credibility with Google and
possibly becoming what they consider to be an "authority"
which can double your top placements, literally. To see
what I mean, search for "cats" on Google (without quotes.)
The number 1 match is Wikipedia.com and references furry
little felines. The number 2 match is also from Wikipedia
but is about a Broadway musical.

So what? Notice how that second match is indented? That
means it was not meant to be number 2 and might have
actually been number 10 or 16 or more. But since
Wikipedia.com is what Google considers an authority, it
get's little bumps like this. Pretty nice huh? And trust
me, you don't have to be Wikipedia to become an authority.
Everything you need is in this article. I've done it many
times.

There are different ways to see a page's GPR. If you don't
already have it, visit Google and download their "Google
Toolbar." It will show you the GPR of any page on the Web.

Part 4: Use the Best Tools

Last but not least, SEO is like anything else, if you use
the best tools for the job your results will be faster,
better and longer lasting.

Back in the day, search engine optimization professionals
and do it yourselfers had to do everything by hand. It took
forever and one simple mistake could mean weeks of work
down the drain. Today however, there are plenty of software
tools to help get the job done in a faction of the time.
Just find the BEST one for what you want to accomplish.

You see, if you've done half or a third of the old school
marketing teachings, I'm sure you must have had your own

I know that when I joined my first network marketing
company, I was told to use these same techniques. I was
told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically
call every one of them to ask and see if they would be
interested in making some extra money.

The result was far from favorable; in fact 90 percent of
the people I spoke with were offended while the remaining
politely turned me down.

Sometimes when I look back at the things I have done based

ashamed of myself for ever taken those actions - I was
faced with questions I wasn't able to answer, getting hung
up on, and faced with nothing but rejection. I even
solicited total strangers in the mall and brought up my
opportunity in a social gathering - which I later realized,
was a No-No.

The worst thing is that all my effort created enmity
between me and my friends, plus it brought a whole lot of
negative connotation instead of prospects.

To make matters worst, my up-line told me to go and buy
some opportunity leads which did not just cost me money and
effort, but it brought me back to ground zero - more
rejection, no money and no prospect...

At this point, I was out of money, and had nothing to show
for it!
