Site Builder Issues - Why Shoeless Joe Was Wrong

Site Builder Issues - Why Shoeless Joe Was Wrong
Unfortunately, many people are living a perfect example of
if you build it, they won't come.

If you build your site with a standard site builder that
doesn't allow for:

* HTML - to create unique Meta tags on each page, use tags,
ALT tags, etc.

* FTP access

* Root directory access to add static HTML files and XML
files

* Easy addition of new pages, to grow your site content.

then you are setting yourself up for failure. If you build
a website that can't be optimized for the search engines,
you will be unable to rank highly and tap into the large
amounts of traffic that run through the search engines
daily. You are missing out on people that are searching
for products and services just like yours.

Whether you felt it was cheaper to build a site with a site
builder, or you just didn't know it was a problem - you
need to take action and get your site onto a server that
has no restrictions that will prevent your site from being
properly optimized.

Many of the site builders out there even claim to be
"search engine friendly" and then when we go to optimize a
site for a client we can't even do the most basic things
like create unique Meta tags on each page.

Many site builder companies lock clients in for a year or
more, leaving the client trapped with a site that can't be
optimized. Not all site builders are the enemy. However,
you want to be very through and ask very specific questions
when evaluating a site builder company. You don't want to
be locked into a contract that will ultimately hurt your
website and your business.

Even if you think you are saving money by not hiring an
expensive web designer, you are ultimately losing business
and money, if you can't be found in the search engines and
your competitors can.

Already stuck with a site builder?

Contact a reputable SEO firm, preferably one that does
design as well and have them look into whether your site
can be optimized with your site builder. If it can't, even
if you lose some money - leave the site builder and get a
quote on having your site moved to a new server (if you own
the design of the site), or if the design of the site is a
template belonging to the site builder, you'll need to get
a quote on a new design.

It may seem like a lot of trouble, and it may mean finding
some extra money in your budget. However, without traffic
from the search engines coming to your site, how can you
expect to grow your site? Sure, you can do a PPC campaign
and various other marketing campaigns - but you'll always
be missing out on the volume of traffic that runs through
the search engines.

How will I make changes to my site if I move from a site
builder?

That's a common question. People don't want to be chained
to an expensive webmaster that will charge them for every
change they want made. With the site builder, you could
make the changes yourself.

There are a couple possible scenarios here. Maybe it's
worth paying a webmaster and freeing up your time to focus
on other areas of your business. Another option is that
the webmaster show you how to make simple text changes.
The final option is to inquire about the control panel that
comes with your website hosting package. They often have
control panels that have a WYSIWYG (what you see is what
you get) editor - meaning you still don't need to know HTML
and you can still alter your site - and have it be search
engine friendly and optimized.

If you are unsure if your site builder is holding you back
or if you know your site builder is and you want to break
free, EcomBuffet is offering free consultations and a
discount on web design right now.

In an effort to educate people about site builders and how
they can harm you, this limited time offer is being made to
my article readers.

If you don't have a site yet and are looking at creating
one, beware of going with a site builder, especially if you
have to lock into a long contract. The questions you
should ask are:

1. Can an XML file be added to the root directory?

2. Can unique Meta tags be added to each page?

3. Can you add an unlimited number of pages to your site?

4. Is FTP access available?

5. Does the builder generate any "special code" that could
cause problems for the engines?

6. Can CSS and java script be placed in external files?

If the answer to those questions are no, I would strongly
advise that you look at other options and not get yourself
locked into something that is going to hurt you in the long
run.

My site builder comes with a shopping cart. What do I do
if I don't go with the site builder?

Another valid concern. There are many great plugin
shopping carts that are easy to configure and use. There
are ones that run off your own server and you will need a
secure server and certificate, and then there are ones that
run off a third party server.

Many shopping carts these days even have extra marketing
features, and allow for the user to load product images,
pricing, shipping, descriptions etc in a very user friendly
interface that doesn't require any programming or complex
code.

How much traffic am I really missing out on, by not being
listed high in the search engines?

* More than 8 out of 10 Internet users look on search
engines to find information and the products or services
they want to buy.

* Pay-per-click (PPC) costs are rising (over 37% higher
from last year to this year Q1).

* Up to 85% of searchers ignore paid listings

* 63% of the top natural (organic) listings get click
throughs.

* Natural (organic) search results convert 30% higher than
PPC.

Before you lose any more time and more importantly money,
check out your site builder situation today and see if
there is a solution that will work for you.

Blogging to the Bank 2.0. Review

Blogging to the Bank 2.0. Review
Rob Benwell begins Blogging to the Bank 2.0. by looking
back at the 16 months since the release of the original
Blogging to the Bank. Rob discusses the impact this
release had on blogs (particularly Blogger blogs) and how
this led to the creation of his five blogging commandments.
The five blogging commandments are what Rob believes are
essential for your blogs success and provide an overview of
the whole ebook. Obviously, I cannot spoil Rob's ebook by
revealing them here but they do contain some good
information to keep your visitors coming back and reading
your blog. After this introduction Rob gets into the main
body of his ebook.

Rob begins by discussing Market Research & Keyphrase Lists.
This is a very important stage as it ultimately determines
what you will be blogging about. Rob emphasises the
importance of taking your time and discusses how you can
find affiliate products using ClickBank. He also describes
how to to do some basic keyword research using a couple of
free tools. Overall, I found this chapter to be a great
introduction to affiliate marketing and in particular
keyword research. Before reading the chapter I knew almost
nothing about keyword research and whilst I'm still no
expert I now know the basics of optimising my blog and its
pages.

Rob then moves on to discuss creating your blog. First, he
outlines how to actually install your blog. Then he moves
on to discuss the four options available to you when
getting content for your blog. After this he outlines how
to optimise, monetise and ping your blog. Overall, this
section of Blogging to the Bank 2.0 contains a lot of good
information. I was particularly impressed by Rob's use of
screenshots and instructions to explain his ideas. I'm a
big fan of screenshots and feel they really help beginners.
The section on monetisation was also a real help for me
too. My main criticism of this section was that Rob does
not explain how to automate the pinging of your blog. This
is a relatively simple process but for some reason Rob
ignores it.

If you have followed Rob's instructions up to this point
you should have your blog ready to go. Logically, Rob goes
on to outline how you can promote your blog and get some
traffic. The topics he covers in this section include
basic promotion techniques (including article syndication,
forum marketing and link exchanges) and Web 2.0.
techniques. Web 2.0. is a phrase that describes the trend
in web development towards creativity, collaboration and
sharing between users (good examples of successful Web 2.0.
websites are Facebook and YouTube). Whilst the basic
promotion techniques are good, I was very impressed with
the Web 2.0. section. Before reading this chapter I had
stuck primarily to article marketing but now I have my
first Squidoo lens out there and I am getting a lot of
extra traffic from social bookmarking sites. My main
criticism about this chapter is the section on DIGG (a
social bookmarking site). Whilst Rob did open my eyes to a
very good resource he did not make it clear that DIGG will
ban you if you just submit your own blog posts, which is
what happened to me.

Rob finishes his ebook by discussing some advanced
techniques including outsourcing the creation of your
blogs, creating your own product in the market you are
blogging for and even selling your blog. I have not tried
any of the techniques in this section yet but I am planning
on creating some of my own products to sell to my blog
readers.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Blogging to the
Bank 2.0. if you are looking to start your first blog, or
even get more serious with your current blogging. After
reading Rob's ebook I decided to make my first serious blog
(i.e. a blog in a niche topic that I would be updating
regularly) and whilst I am not making nearly enough to
retire on, I am generating an increased amount of traffic
and revenue each month as a direct result of Rob's
techniques. My main criticisms of Blogging to the Bank
2.0. are that Rob seems to miss certain things out. A
section on how to ping your blog automatically would have
been really useful to some readers and there are a number
of helpful WordPress plugins I have come across that Rob
does not feature in his ebook. However, these are only
small criticisms. By following the instructions inside
Blogging to the Bank 2.0. I believe a relative beginner
could quite easily get a monetised blog online in a short
period of time.

Creating Trust Online

Creating Trust Online
Making the very first purchase from a site you've just
stumbled across can often be a very emotional experience.
The excellent copy, hard-hitting benefits, and free demo
you loved have compelled you to own this wondrous product.

But at the same time something holds you back. It could be
a missing privacy policy, an order page that's not secure,
or perhaps the company seems faceless - are these guys
reputable or are they located off-shore?

It could even be something that just strikes you as
unprofessional - bad grammar, an annoying flash
presentation, weird fonts, slabs of text on dark
background, or broken links.

As result, you hold off on your buying decision. How often
is your site having this effect on customers? Likely, quite
a bit, but like most online retailers you'll never know
when this happens.

TRUSTe, the independent online trust authority, and TNS
announced the results of their 2005 Holiday Shopping/Online
Trust Survey. The results may surprise you. Many internet
users simply don't trust smaller, independent online
retailers.

According to the study:

· While 78 percent of American internet users plan
to conduct some shopping online this year, 69 percent of
those shoppers will limit their online purchasing because
of fears associated with misuse of personal information.
· Privacy issues will deter more than 40 percent of
consumers from shopping at smaller online retailers.
· Among those willing to use ecommerce, nearly 42
percent prefer using the large, well-known online brands
they believe will keep them safer from privacy-related
threats.
· The top five factors that shoppers say might limit
or prevent them from buying online this holiday season are,
in order; o identity theft (cited by 49 percent) o spam
resulting from online purchases (39 percent) o credit card
theft (39 percent) o spyware (38 percent) o preference for
the touch and feel of shopping in bricks-and-mortar stores
(35 percent)

But it's not just lack of brand name awareness that may
cause someone to hesitate buying from you.

A study conducted by Stanford University's Persuasive
Technology Lab revealed that little things, such as
misspellings, could be detrimental to a site's credibility.

So what creates trust?

The Stanford study analyzed key factors - expertise,
trustworthiness, sponsorship, and miscellaneous criteria
and found some of the highest rated elements to be:

· fast response to customer service queries
· comprehensive and clear information
· author's credentials are listed
· complete contact information is listed
· privacy policy clearly stated
· search capabilities on the site
· site has been prominently advertised
· ads on site are relevant
· professional design
· site has proven useful in the past

This tactic will focus on how you can make fast changes to
your site that may dramatically boost the trust level
between you and your site visitors.

The 4 Key Areas of Trust

We've identified 4 key areas where you can build trust on
your site. We'll show you how to implement trust-building
techniques in these 4 areas.

The areas to focus on are:

1. Transparency: Can the visitor quickly identify who you
are, see your contact information and understand your
background?
2. The Human Touch: Does your site incorporate elements
that give it a human touch? This includes bios, pictures of
staff, as well as technological tricks like virtual
assistants and blogs.
3. Customer Care: Does your site show that you care about
your customers?
4. Privacy and Security: Do you have prominent, well
defined security and privacy policies? After reading this
tactic you should be able to immediately incorporate many
of these trust elements within your site in a day or two.

Although some of the elements of trust sound complicated to
create (such as a privacy policy) we'll show you shortcuts
and offer templates that will make this easy to do.

The Digital Wars Morph through High Definition DVDs toward a Global Telecom System

The Digital Wars Morph through High Definition DVDs toward a Global Telecom System
Back in 1994 when Sony/Philips technology released the
first Digital Video Disc (DVD) digital technology's goal
was to enable a world united by one language. We have come
along way since then. With the advent of high definition
DVDs, the war continues as to which format will replace
standard DVDs in the future, especially after Warner Bros.
Entertainment recently announced their decision to support
Blue-ray technology for high definition DVDs, over the
rival format, HD DVD. This now underdog format may still
have a chance of survival though, because it's being backed
by DreamWorks, Universal and Paramount.

"We are getting close to the spontaneous emergence of
global network-based virtual awareness. In a very short
period of time, the worlds of printing and publishing
changed dramatically, and as the Internet wakes up,
technology continues to congeal into one global
interconnected network," says the author of The Extreme
Future, James Canton.

What is the difference between HD DVD and Blue-ray? "The
difference is that they are different formats of discs that
are used to deliver content to the end user. Both formats
support high definition video, and have nothing to do with
resolution," says one DVD duplication services provider,
Asheesh Barman, of Acutrack, Inc.

There is confusion about the video resolution of each
format. Both formats support high definition video format.
High definition video is what standard definition DVD video
quality was to VHS video quality back in the old days. High
definition video is 720 lines to 1080 lines on the TV
screen. By comparison, the now old standard NTSC format
used in the US and North America is only 480 lines of
resolution.

HD DVD is easier and less expensive to manufacture, and the
interactive component which was co-developed by Microsoft
Toshiba and Disney, is much easier to use. The real value
is in the authoring capabilities and the disc is less
expensive.

Also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD), it is a next-generation
optical disc format jointly developed by the Blu-ray Disc
Association (BDA), a group of the world's leading consumer
electronics, personal computer and media manufacturers
(including Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi,
Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK and
Thomson). Developed to enable recording, rewriting and
playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing
large amounts of data, the format offers more than five
times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs and can hold
up to 25GB on a single-layer disc and 50GB on a dual-layer
disc. The capacity is needed because films in high
definition video are space consuming.

Whereas HD DVD is an optical disc format that stands for
High-Definition Digital Versatile Disc. It uses a laser,
which allows for far more data density per disc than a
standard DVD. That means HD DVD delivers six times the
picture resolution of normal DVDs, up to 7.1 channels of
high-resolution audio, and interactivity and bonus content
capabilities.

Blu-ray discs come in single and dual layers. BD 25 holds
25 gigabytes (GB) of data, while the BD 50 holds 50 GB of
data. HD DVD has three versions including single layer with
15 GB, dual layer with 30 GB and triple layer with 51 GB.
There's basically no difference in the audio and video
qualities, just some differences in features.

Why do we need both formats? We don't, but this is how
technology works - Blu-Ray offers different features than
HD DVD. Another example of this type of format war is
evident in the photography world. Many new technology
companies spent money researching, patenting and trade
marking first SD cards, then memory sticks, and flash
cards, etc.; each hoping to offer different features and
beat the others in benefits in an effort to win end users
and reap the gains for years to come.

For new independent filmmakers, general content producers,
trainers and documentarians, the costs are the main
consideration. They are not all shooting their films in
high def yet. Unless they are working with a major studio,
they cannot afford HD DVD or Blu-ray. For DVD replication
of 500 to 1000 copies of a film on HD DVD or Blu-Ray, it
would be too expensive. Plus, authoring the first master
disc is still fairly complex at least when it comes to
Blu-Ray thereby again adding more production costs.. HD
authoring by comparison is relatively easier., but still
not cost effective for the indepensent artist.

These people can focus on producing content in the
meantime, and marketing their work. Many of them are using
the new on demand publishing model -- a concept in which
physical discs containing music or videos, are not
manufactured, printed, packaged and fulfilled until after
an order for them has been received.

HD DVD and Blu-Ray are not the only options out there to
deliver high definition content. There are other media
available to content producers to distribute their hi-def
content on - such as USB flash drives. Apple's new MacBook
Air, does not even come with a drive as a standard option.
Users must buy an optional super drive. Solid state or
flash devices are a great option and the costs for these
devices are coming down fast.

Interestingly, according to the futurist, "We will spend
more than $5 trillion over the next decade to create a new
global telecom system - leading us to the next generation
Internet, and quantum computing, " Canton continued. "With
more than 1 billion people connected to the Internet today,
futurists predict that by the year 2015 there will be more
than 3 billion people online and eCommerce [and digital
downloads] will reach more than $160 trillion."

How Do You Find The Right Home Business For You

How Do You Find The Right Home Business For You

are many different business opportunities that you can
choose to start your business with. However, before you
choose you need to make sure that you take the time to find
the right one for you. Find out how to do that right now.

My guess is that you want to start a home business of your
own so you can make money. The problem is most people treat
their home business like a hobby. If your goal is to have
a hobby then that is great, because working at home can be
a lot of fun.

If your goal is to make money then you need to be serious
right from the start and find a business that can motivate
you to get to work and achieve some of your dreams. The
Internet is a great place to start a home business.

You need to do some research online. Find out what the
different business opportunities are. Find some that
interest you and save them to look at later. Get a three
ring notebook going and start keeping track of the research
are doing.

Keep looking until you have enough to make a choice from.
You do not want to sign up with the first one that you find
because if you do you will more than likely find out that
it is not the right home business for you very quickly.

Then it will be back to searching so make sure that you
take time to look at as many of the opportunities as you
can. This is where that notebook will really come in handy.

Once you have found the ones that you are interested in you
need to make sure that you thoroughly research each
individual opportunity. You want to make sure that they are
selling something that you would be interested in selling.

You also need to make sure that they provide support for
you, marketing tools, and that they give you some type of
education to help you get started. Having backing and
support is super critical as you are learning the ropes.

It is important that you take time to choose carefully from
the many different business opportunities that are
available. By referring back to your notebook, and really
comparing what you looked at, you will be able to make a
more intelligent decision.

You can be very successful with your home business if you
find the right one. That will go a long way towards your
success.

Make Money at Home

Make Money at Home
For about 70% of the US population the "American Dream" of
being a home owner, has become more of an American
nightmare. It is a fact, that people with a less than good
credit rating, are penalised with higher interest rates,
regardless of their ability to repay a loan.

However, there is a program that gives you everything you
need to set up your own business. More and more people are
looking for good financial solutions through the internet
today than ever before. You can now offer all these
services, great loan rates, buying or refinancing loans and
credit repair program, through your very own business web
site.

Now, you may be asking yourself this question; How much can
I make in this business and how difficult is it? These are
great questions. First of all, how much can you make. I am
sure you know that real estate is where the big dollars
are. You probably have also heard that loan officers and
brokers also make a lot of money. You may have bought a
house or two, and you may have refinanced the mortgage. If
so, then you know that part of the closing costs on all
these transactions includes a commission for the loan
officer or broker. Well, now you too can take advantage of
the mortgage industry, and make a commission one of your
prospects loan approvals. The second part of the question,
is it difficult, is also a no brainer. With this process,
you do not need a brokers license, special training, a
degree or a real estate license. Just follow a few simple
steps, and you will be on your way.

With an established network of lenders, you are able to
offer your clients excellent rates. And, we do all the
work. It is difficult enough just to take care of the
ordinary day to day things we need to do in our lives, let
alone having to run around and learn everything we need to
know in order to find a good loan for a purchase of
refinance. We do all the work so you can offer your clients
peace of mind, and a hassle free experience. Your clients
will enjoy the opportunity to work with you, and this will
lead to many word of mouth referrals.

You can find clients everywhere. One of the greatest ways
you can help older folks in our communities is through
Reverse Mortgages. This is a special program that allows
our parents and grandparents, to turn the equity in their
house, into cash for everyday expenses, or to just have a
little fun. They never have to repay the loan, but they
still enjoy the benefits of having cash in the bank today.
Not all brokers can offer this service, but with our
program, you can offer these reverse mortgages. You will
find many potential clients in your local retirement
communities. They will be grateful to you for offering this
service.

What Do You Need To Do To Earn Money With Affiliate Marketing?

What Do You Need To Do To Earn Money With Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a very popular way for you to start
a home business. It is not as easy as some people make it
out to be to earn money with affiliate marketing or
internet marketing.

You need to educate yourself on how others have made money
online. Learn what they did and you will soon learn what
you need to know to make your home business successful.

The first thing that you want to remember is that you have
to always be honest. You do not want to cheat your
customers or lie to them because if you do then you will
very quickly get a bad reputation and no one will do
business with you.

The second thing that you have to do is to educate yourself
on affiliate marketing. Learn how to advertise your
business.

The biggest reason people fail to make money on the
Internet is because they do not mastered traffic generation
techniques. If all other things are equal the website with
the most traffic will always make the most money.

One great and free way that you can do this is to use
article marketing. Article marketing is a must for anyone
who has a home business online.

Article marketing can be done by writing your own articles
or hiring someone to do it. The other important thing is to
get your articles submitted into the best article
directories, where they can be read and picked up by the
search engines.

There are other methods that you need to learn too. This is
very important because if you do not learn how to advertise
your business you will never make any money.

The third thing that you want to do is to start a mailing
list. This will be a very important home business tool for
you.

Your list will help you maximize your profits. You can
learn how to do this online also. This is known as email
marketing and is a very important part of Internet
marketing.

There are a number of other things that you will have to do
in order to have a very successful home business. However,
if you do these three things then you will be well on your
way to having the kind of success and money that you want.

So take the time to learn all you can about affiliate
marketing and internet marketing so you can have the
success you deserve.

Work at Home Business Ideas

Work at Home Business Ideas
The year 2008 promises to be a very lucrative year for
those turning to the internet to make income. Millions of
people across the entire world are plugging in to the
internet and a good chunk of those people will be searching
for ideas to make an income from the comfort of their own
home. For good reason too. The average home based
business is raking in a whopping $52,000 a year! Here are
some work from home business ideas that may be your golden
ticket out of the rat race.

Work at home business idea #1: Create an informative
ebook! If you have vast knowledge about a subject (any
subject) that people may be interested in, it is very
possible that you can take that knowledge and write a short
but informative ebook. It will take some brain storming
but what doesn't. Heres what you do. Find a common
problem in a certain niche. Write an ebook with
information on how to resolve that problem and market it to
that target market...cha ching!

Work at home business idea #2: Get your own domain name
and start your very own website! If you do this at the
right time you can jump in and bank off of current events.
For example, a fellow saw a chance and made his own website
offering cut out Jessica Simpson masks. This was right
after Tony Romo, the current Dallas Cowboys quarterback,
had a horrible game reportedly because Jessica was in
attendance. The fellow who created the website marketed
the site with the masks to the next team the Cowboys played
and a good percentage of fans were wearing his masks.
Brilliant...cha ching!

Work at home business idea #3: There are many companies,
programs, and individuals who are offerring commissions to
those who can help bring in sales or referrals. These
types of commissions are offered through affiliate
programs. They normally provide all the training and tools
you'll ever need to succeed because the more money you
make, the more they make also. What works best is to
enroll your self in multiple affiliates and promote them on
a free blog or your own website. These programs can be
very nice because you can make residual income that could
last for years and years...cha ching!

Some more work at home business ideas include paid surveys,
web design, and power malls. Whatever and whichever route
you decide is ultimately up to you and the results you get
are all determined upon how hard you work. A lot of people
fail with a home based business because they really believe
that it should be a free ride and they won't have to work
hard. They couldn't be more wrong. The potential to make
a living working from home is there, but to succeed you
must treat it like a real business. People do make money
online, you can too!

Designing Guarantees that Eliminate Any Possible Barriers to Buying Your Product

Designing Guarantees that Eliminate Any Possible Barriers to Buying Your Product
Why Merchants Fear the Dreaded Guarantee

The same psychological principle of the fear of loss that
causes buyers to hesitate on making a purchase causes
merchants to often be reluctant to offer a guarantee.

What the merchant fears is having to act on this guarantee
when a product is returned. A return is often a
psychological blow for merchants, especially when selling
their own self created products.

Rather than seize the potential of increased sales from
offering a bold guarantee, merchants dread the likelihood
of increased returns, and the feeling of rejection they
might get from having to deal with such a return.

This feeling is almost always foolish. A bold guarantee may
increase returns, but the overall increase in sales usually
more than makes up for this.

A merchant starting out with no guarantee may make 50 sales
a month and see 3 returns. By advertising a guarantee he
may see his sales rise to 80 a month and see returns rise
to 10.

His sales rate is up 60% but his return rate is now up over
300%! Is this is a wise decision? Yes! His overall sales
are now 70 rather than 47.

One might fear that this scenario may cost the merchant his
reputation due to increased returns. This is not true.

Customers will rarely hold a grudge against a merchant if a
return is handled properly.

We have received emails from people who have bought our
products and returned them, telling us it was not right for
them, but also saying they would recommend it to their
friends.

If you're afraid to make your guarantee bold - understand
that part of your fear may be purely psychological and like
the physicians in the Kahneman Tversky study, you're
operating on a natural human instinct.

You are more concerned with the fear of loss (in this case
the loss of a customer when he returns your product) rather
than the anticipation of gain. This is an instinct you have
to suppress to make a good business decision.

Create the strongest, boldest promise you can offer to your
customers and publicize it everywhere.

Unless you have a genuinely rotten product you have nothing
to worry about. Bold guarantees will create more overall
sales, happier customers and yes, even fewer complaints.

How a Bold Guarantee Can Boost Your Sales

People hesitate on buying from you because of one of the
following reasons:

· They are afraid they might make the wrong decision
and spend money (a limited resource) on a product that
won't help them satisfy their need.
· They are afraid the cost of the product is not
worth the benefit.
· They are afraid the quality of the product may not
be as advertised.
· They fear being "taken for a ride" - cheated by
unscrupulous sales methods.
· Buyers purchasing a product for a business or
organization fear that by purchasing the wrong thing they
will look bad in front of their colleagues or teammates.

At the same time, you must understand that a motivated
buyer WANTS to own your product, but these fears, all of
them expected, keep buyers from moving forward with their
purchase.

There is no better time to close a sale than during the
emotional "I want it now" moment after a customer first
reads your sales copy. Allowing the customer to hesitate
will likely make you lose the sale.

This is where the guarantee comes in. A good guarantee will
protect the customer against all 5 fears mentioned above.
Take a look at the guarantee we offer for this book.

Return on Investment Guarantee:

You have a full 90 days to try all the tactics. If this
product does not pay for itself by 500% within 90 days of
purchase, just return it to us for a full refund.

Best in Field Guarantee:

Furthermore...we GUARANTEE that you will not find a better
book, seminar, CD, or DVD on ecommerce at or below this
price. If you do, simply return the book to us within 90
days for a full refund. We truly believe this book to be
the best of its kind.

A guarantee effectively attempts to ease each of the
customer's potential fears for not making the purchase. In
addition to the usual "30 days to try and return" we expand
this to 90 days.

Furthermore, we guarantee that the customer will not find a
better a book, seminar, CD, or DVD on ecommerce. A customer
looking to shop around will likely spend hours on the net
researching various ecommerce products before settling on
the right one.

We're guaranteeing that customers have found the right one
and we'll allow a return and a full refund if they find
anything better (they won't).

What could be fairer than that? A bold guarantee makes it
easier for people to feel safe when they consider your
offer. You give them a compelling reason to buy today
without the fear of looking bad tomorrow.

You thus make it easier for people to buy from you and
you'll find your profits increasing dramatically.

Home Based Businesses - Which One Is Right For You?

Home Based Businesses - Which One Is Right For You?
Are you interested in starting a home based business but
are unsure about which opportunity is right for you? This
article will give you some helpful information to find a
genuine company.

It's Often More About You Than The Business

There are many legitimate home based businesses that get
looked upon poorly not because they are scams, but because
the entrepreneurs that get involved with them are not well
suited to the business. On one hand, the company could be
at fault for allowing people like this to get involved.
However, how are they going to be able to screen everyone
accordingly without seeming prejudice? Ultimately the
responsibility lies within each individual to find a
business opportunity that is best suited to their
particular needs. This would involve selecting a program
that they are interested in enough that they will learn the
necessary skills required to succeed.

Solid Reputation

A company's reputation and that of its' founders is an
important factor when considering which program to join. Do
some research and find out what others have to say. It is
advisable to use your judgment here. There will always be
good and bad found about anything, but there should be more
good than bad. Also know that you should judge some reports
cautiously as a negative review may just be from someone
who didn't try very hard and gave up too soon. Use your
judgment and follow your instincts.

Invest Wisely

It is important when paying to join a home based business
that you know what you are actually paying for. This is
where your research will be very useful. A program that you
are going to join should have a product with real value.

Find A Genuine Person To Join

Business people love to give you a lot of hype and slam you
with a bunch of sales talk. While it is important to create
a level of excitement in your customers, a sales pitch
should be more about what they have to offer rather than
selling you a pie in the sky. Analyze the features of the
home based business you are considering and their products.
Ask the affiliate that you are planning on joining why
their team will benefit you.

The fact is that scams do exist online. To find a
legitimate home based business opportunity you need to
search carefully and look at what the opportunity has to
offer. It's your money that you are putting to work and you
want to spend it wisely.
