How I Made Twenty Thousand Dollar From Three Hours' Work

How I Made Twenty Thousand Dollar From Three Hours' Work
Several months ago, I wrote a short special report that I
entitled, "How To Make $1000 - $2000 In 24 Hours Or Less!"

I wrote that report BECAUSE I had so many people emailing
me with financial emergencies. So, I sat down and
basically brainstormed for a hour, then spent another hour
polishing my notes into an ebook (special report). Then I
spent roughly another hour gathering (and incorporating)
feedback on my draft and writing a very crude sales letter.

I offered that special report on a forum, and to my list,
for $5. I also included provisions for anyone purchasing
the special report to resell it (using a link that I
provided inside the report), and earn 100% commission,
which was instantly paid to their Paypal account.

I basically gave that report a little push and let the
viral nature of it take over. I spent about 3 hours to
initially get it into the marketplace.

Recently, I logged in to glance at my statistics and saw
that I had made 4156 sales for that report. That translates
into $20,780 for 3 hours work.

That report has also generate well over 1000 backend sales,
thousands of subscribers, and even several joint ventures.

I'm sharing this with you because I want you to see that
many of the VERY simple ideas that you read everyday do
work!

That simple report sprang from noticing a problem that I
could easily offer a solution to. Implementing the special
report involved using an idea I got from reading a $7 ebook
written by Jonathan Leger. Jonathan's ebook called "$7
Secrets" described how you could quickly and easily
generate thousands of dollars with simples short reports...
using his scripts (which are included free with the ebook)
to power your sales process.

You can read about Jonathan's ebook and the scripts, which
sells for a mere $7, at:
http://TheRealSecrets.com/7DollarSecrets/

You can see how I implemented what I learned in that $7
ebook here:

http://TheRealSecrets.com/24/

Since spending those 3 hours creating and rolling out the
product I have made revisions to the ebook based upon
feedback, and I have added testimonials to my sales page.
So, now I probably have closer to 5 hours invested in it.
So, that does reduce my return-on-investment down to
approximately $5000 per hour :-)

At this point you're probably wondering what made that
special report such a success. Certainly, not all such
reports do as well. Part of my secret is that I gave it the
first BIG push by running a $20 ad on an internet marketing
discussion forum. I've run similar ads a number of times
with great results. In fact, I even wrote a special report
detailing how I did that.

I wrote a special report called "Secrets Of The $10,000
Warrior Special Offer" where I outlined how I've placed
several of these ads (which costs $20 each) and had them
each earn me incredibly profits. You can read about that
special report at:

http://therealsecrets.com/10000DollarWSO/

By now, you're probably wondering what the POINT of this
article is. Actually, there are several points.

The first point is that you don't need a huge idea, or to
create a big product, to do well in the information
marketing business. MOST of the ebooks that I write are
under 50 pages, with many of them being under 20 pages. As
already mentioned, I can write these in just a matter of
hours.

A second point is that simple ideas that thousands of
others looked at and then "think about" can, an DO, produce
amazing results when acted upon! Instead of thinking about
it, you just need to actually just do it!

The point of this article is to provide you with proof that
many of the simple ideas that you read, or even think up
yourself, can be very profitable. The only real secrets
lies in the expression "Nothing Happens Until Something
Moves!" The key is merely in the implementation... in the
doing.

If a tobacco farmer, and a ex-soldier can do it, then you
probably can too... but only if you're willing to get up
and get going :-)

Make today the day that you finally get into action!

I should add a disclaimer. My results are certainly NOT
typical. I have 11 years experience actually learning,
testing, and putting into practice what I've learned. So,
it's probably not realistic for you to expect to equal my
results. However, even if you do only a fraction as well as
I did, isn't that still a fantastic return on the time
invested?

How to Set Up an Online Affiliate Program to Sell Your Products and Services

How to Set Up an Online Affiliate Program to Sell Your Products and Services
I consider Amazon.com to be the Internet pioneer for
establishing affiliate programs. Their strategy to permit
others to sell their products for a commission on affiliate
websites has single-handedly help them become an Internet
powerhouse and has resulted in Amazon.com becoming a
household name.

As an online business owner, you, too, should be offering
your own affiliate program. Affiliate marketing is so much
less expensive than to take out a banner ad or text ad on
other websites or in email newsletters, and the results
tend to be better. Imagine that you have a staff of people
working for you, and they have agreed to work free of
charge until they successfully make a sale. At that point,
they are paid when their sales reach a predetermined volume
(as outlined in your affiliate agreement) at a certain
interval. You've instantly created a fast and almost free
sales force with very little money.

Even though you may not have the monetary resources
available to Amazon.com, you can create this sales
phenomenon as well for your professional service business.

Here are the steps you need to consider to create your own
affiliate program:

1. Find affiliate tracking software. Trying to manually
track all of the sales of your affiliates is simply too
labor-intensive. Instead, you need to find a software
program that will help you manage your affiliate program.
I recommend the one bundled with my shopping cart,
GetMoreClientsCart.com, which assigns each affiliate a
unique affiliate ID that they can use in their websites to
make referrals back to your website, where the actual sale
occurs. Each affiliate is also assigned a unique log-in and
password so that they can log into their affiliate account
at any time and check on their sales volume. Best of all,
once you've set up your affiliate program, the setup for
each affiliate is completely automated.

2. Determine your level of tiers. Typically an affiliate
program is limited to no more than 2 tiers. After two, it
begins to take on the persona of a pyramid scheme. The
first tier is comprised of the affiliates who are directly
signed up for your affiliate program, and the second tier
are affiliates of your affiliates. For simplicity, I tend
to use the 1-tier affiliate structure.

3. Determine your commission structure and rules. Many
online business owners spend countless hours wringing their
hands over how much to pay in commissions. If you offer too
little, no one is interested in promoting your products and
services because the payoff isn't large enough to motivate
them. If you offer too much, you feel like you're giving
money away. I've discovered that first-tier commission
amounts typically range from 25%-75%, with most in the
35-50% range. Second-tier commissions seem to range
between 10%-30%, with most landing in the 20% range.
You'll also need to determine if you'll pay commissions on
products that people buy for themselves through their
affiliate link. Many people join an affiliate program
solely for that reason. However, if that's the only reason
they've joined your affiliate program, they probably won't
be making additional sales for you.

4. Create your payout schedule. Next you'll need to
determine at what intervals you'll pay your affiliates.
I've seen some programs pay commissions weekly, but monthly
payouts is the most common. Let your affiliates know on
what day you determine the month's commission, what their
minimum earnings must be to get paid (i.e. at least $50 in
earnings, for example), and on what day you send payments.

5. Determine your payment form. For many affiliate
programs to which I belong, I receive a check in the mail
for my payments. However, more companies are transitioning
to PayPal's Mass Pay feature to pay affiliate commissions.
PayPal's Mass Pay feature eliminates most of the paperwork
involved in check writing, and with the upload of a few
files, you can pay your affiliate quickly via their PayPal
email addresses. In order to use this service, you have to
have a PayPal Premier or Business Account and you need to
ask for your affiliate's PayPal email address.

6. Provide marketing assistance. For the greatest success
in your affiliate program, you need to provide your
affiliates with marketing materials to help them promote
yours products and services. Have a graphic designer
create a variety of website banners and buttons they can
use, and you can compose classified ads that they can
place in ezines and sales letters they can use on their
site or as an email marketing tool. You'll need to create
some reminders about ethical email marketing strategies so
that you don't become associated with anyone who is labeled
as a spammer. Lastly, give your affiliates access to a
group of articles that they can use on their site to
promote your programs and services, with directions on how
to insert their affiliate link in the resource box.

7. Educate your affiliates. After joining an affiliate
program, I often receive a phone call from a company's
affiliate manager welcoming me to the affiliate program and
encouraging me to contact him/her with questions. Or, I
get an invitation to special affiliate teleclasses/webinars
to give me strategies on how to be a good affiliate. You
can offer the same amenities to your affiliates by working
with an Online Business Manager/Virtual Assistant to run
this program for you. At a minimum, you can create an
affiliate handbook that your affiliates receive upon
signing up for you program, which will walk them through
the steps of your affiliate program.

8. Market your affiliate program. Once your affiliate
program has been set-up, you'll need to promote it. Have
your OBM/VA seek out strategic alliance opportunities.
Search for websites that permit you to promote your
affiliate program. Send out notice of your affiliate
program to your list, on your blog, and on discussion lists
where this is type of promotion is permitted.

Creating your own affiliate program is a great way for you
to grow your business in a short period of time. You never
know--you may be on your way to creating your own
Amazon.com!

What You Should Not Be Doing On eBay

What You Should Not Be Doing On eBay
Ebay has no doubt made it a lot easier for sellers to
conduct online trade, but you should never forget that even
though the online business environment is quite different.
It still retains the basic elements of building a business
such as marketing, quality, pricing, and customer service.
It implies that you will have to work hard, albeit in a
different way, i.e. spend additional time on your PC so as
to provide quick and efficient services to potential online
customers. If you want to become a top ebay seller, you
will also be required to learn from the mistakes of other
sellers and undertake measures to avoid repeating such
mistakes. Explained below are some of the things that you
should avoid doing so as to become a successful ebay seller.

Overlooking feedback ratings

You might think that pricing makes all the difference on
ebay, but the fact is that for more customers, it is the
feedback rating that is most important. You will be
surprised to know that most online visitors do not see the
prices first; that the first thing they look for is the
rating of the seller. In effect, they shortlist sellers not
by the prices offered, but by their feedbacks ratings. So,
if you want to make it big, avoid overlooking feedback
ratings. For generating more business, you should aim to
achieve top-notch ratings, preferably in the range of 99 to
100 percent.

Rejecting credit cards or paypal

For you, it may be easier to get the sale proceeds
transferred directly into your bank account, but for the
customer, this may be a problem because then there will not
be enough proof that payment has been made. The online
business environment is such that customers often suspect
sellers who offer direct payment options. They rather
prefer making payments through verifiable trusted sources
such as paypal. So, if you want to get anywhere near to
your goals and objectives, get a paypal account now. It
will be worth it, trust me!

Shoddy presentation

The one thing that is most likely to turn away potential
customers is shoddy presentation of your products. If you
do not give enough importance to how your products are
displayed and what type of information is given, you will
end up losing much of your business. So, if you want to
succeed, ensure that your products are displayed in a
professional manner and all the requisite information is
given on the web page itself.

The above suggestions and inputs will give you the right
start and help you achieve your set goals and objectives.
However, you should not forget that there are many other
things that you need to do as well as avoid for becoming a
successful ebay seller. So, use your creativity and
imagination combined with your rationality, that's that
best advice for you at this point of time.

Affiliate Internet Marketing: How to Build Customer Loyalty in Affiliate Internet Marketing

Whether you do affiliate internet marketing or some other
type of work, you are in business to make money. You put in
the time and capital to build your affiliate business and
you expect to make a positive return on your investment
(ROI). Unfortunately for many affiliates, the ROI is all
they see. By doing this, they are overlooking a critical
factor that could explode whatever online affiliate program
they are currently promoting.

In your affiliate business, there are going to be problems
that arise which are out of your control. A major factor in
how your customers react to it will depend on what kind of
relationship you have established with them. Building a
loyal customer base is essential to growing your affiliate
business.

Here are a few tips to help you build that customer loyalty.

1. Standout

If you are a member of an internet marketing affiliate
program that has hundreds of affiliates selling the same
product and using the same sales page then how is a
potential customer going to know the difference between you
and the other affiliates?

They won't. For that reason alone you should get your own
website or better still get a blog. Sign up at
wordpress.com and start posting information on whatever is
relevant to your internet marketing affiliate
program.Search engines love blogs since they are typically
updated on a regular basis.

Blogs are also a great place to get your personality out
there. Showcase some travel photos and invite people to
send you theirs. Create your own blog forum or chat room.
The point is to separate yourself from the other affiliates
in that particular program, raise your internet visibility
and find areas of common ground that allow you to connect
with your customers. Get people to your blog (make sure you
have a way to capture their contact information) before you
send them on to the main page of your online affiliate
program.

2. Presell

The general definition of presell is to advertise a product
before it becomes available to the general public in the
hopes of creating a buzz. Preselling works a little bit
differently with an internet marketing affiliate program.
In this case you write an article related to your niche
with a link in your resource box pointing toward the main
affiliate page (or better still your own website). Place
the content on your website and submit it to some article
directories. Then write another article. Keep in mind the
information should be useful and not just a series of sales
pitches.

3. The After Sell

We've all dealt with companies that turned on the charm
when they wanted us to open our wallet and give until it
hurts. After the sale it's like you never existed. If
someone purchases a product thru your affiliate link, thank
them by sending a personal follow up message. Let them know
you are available to answer any questions they may have.
From there you can periodically send them useful tips to
help them get the most out of the product. You must make it
clear to your customers that you see them as people and not
as an atm machine. Good after selling goes a long way to
establishing more connections.

When it comes to doing business online or off, sincerity
does matter. By standing out from the crowd, providing
quality information and following up with customers after
the initial sale, you can establish a first-class
relationship with your prospects, which in turn will put
you on the road to affiliate internet marketing success.

Achieve Financial Gain Without Leaving Home

Leaving the house to go to work so that you can provide for
yourself or your family is not always necessary. Some of
us have children and are stay at home parents that choose
not to utilize expensive childcare. Some of us are full
time students who can't conform to a rigid employers
inflexible work hours. Some of us are not capable of
leaving the house every day for one valid reason or
another, and others just like to kick it in their sweats
all day. Whatever category you fall under it's okay
because there are always options available to take control
over your financial freedom and future.

I am a stay at home mother of two children under the age of
two. Believe me when I tell you I work from sun up to sun
down and then some, I just don't get a check cut in my name
for this type of work. Being a mother is rewarding,
exciting, daunting, tedious at times, and always the best
thing since sliced bread. However I still found myself
wanting and needing more. It was important to me to begin
having some input in regards to our family income. So I
found myself searching for a work at home business
opportunity.

I am required to be my own boss and have something that
would allow me to supplement our family income and be an
equal contributor, it was also important to do something
that did not require me to neglect my responsibilities as a
stay at home parent. I searched for quite some time and
did my research. I found many business opportunities that
would have me pass up my first two or more sales before I
would be able to make money from my business, and other
programs which required a large qualifying order to be
fulfilled in order for me to commence generating income.

I thought it to be unnecessary to pass up sales and I did
not want to have to qualify to run my own business. I
also thought it was important to find something where there
was a network of individuals that were willing to
constantly and consistently be there to guide me if needed
and provide support.

I finally found exactly what I was looking for and it's an
incredible feeling when that happens. Now I am a leader
and part of a team that truly sees the value in helping
others achieve their financial goals and gain success. It
is an amazing thing to help others and it just ices the
cake when you get financial freedom along with it.

For all of you stay at home parents my advice to you is to
get what you truly want out of life. There is more than
enough to go around so there is no need to limit yourself
to the ordinary. The same advice is for all those who are
not stay at home parents but most certainly have a right to
work from home and be greatly compensated for it.

The Art of Website Maintenance

Now that you've designed and launched your website, you
have a powerful marketing tool for your business. But, your
website is only as useful as the content is current. The
process of keeping the content on your site current is
called website maintenance, and it's important to keep both
visitors and search engines supplied with new information.
Just like regular maintenance on your car, you have to make
changes on your website every few months to make sure that
things run smoothly.

If you update the content on your website on a regular
basis, potential clients will be drawn back to your site to
find out "what's new". The search engines pay visits to
websites in their queue regularly. The catch is that you'll
stay in the queue only if you update your site regularly.
If the search engines visit your site several times in a
row, and don't find anything new, they may decide not to
come back-which can be a blow to your search engine
rankings.

So, when is it appropriate to update your website? You
don't want to waste time and money nitpicking at your site
if you don't have updates of real value to add. You should
update your site if you've:

- Grown your skills. Have you gotten a new accreditation?
New licensing? Improved your skills? Any change in your
skill set is a great reason to update your website-and your
potential clients-with your new capabilities.

- Expanded your products or services. Do you have a new
offering? Add it to your website and start making new sales
in that area.

- Completed a successful project. If you've just finished a
project, include it on your website. Create an online
portfolio, add a case study-build a section on your website
to use as a place to show the world your success.

- Gotten more testimonials, or added to your client list.
Including more feedback on your offering helps to build
your credibility. Be sure to get a testimonial from each of
your successful client projects. Updating your testimonials
regularly will also show clients who have visited your site
a few times that your offerings are "up to snuff".

- Written an article. Writing articles is a great way to
keep your website up-to-date and to put more content on
your site. Search engines love content-rich sites, and
visitors will love to see the new information. So, if you
write articles to educate your clients and promote your
business, be sure to place them on your website as well.
They're likely to be full of keywords related to your area
of specialty, which will help your ranking in the search
engines.

- Press releases. You should post all press releases and
other information you publish about your company to your
website. You never know who may be visiting, and you may
get written up for your accomplishments.

- Changes in your business. Have you hired someone? Changed
your business structure, and you're now required to notify
the public of that? If so, you should probably review your
website and evaluate how you can add that information.

- Yearly check-ups. You should do a basic check on your
site at least once a year, to make sure that the content is
current. Some things to check on include:

- Your copyright statements should be updated yearly

- Test and validate your links, to ensure that they still
work

- Your time references should be changed. If your "About"
page says how many years you've been in business, this is
the time to change that!

- Your pricing and offerings-do you have new products or
services? Have your prices increased over the past year?

Spotlight any major updates on your home page as well, so
that people will learn of those updates as soon as they
enter your site. The search engines will also discover the
new update as soon as they enter your home page if you
leave a bit of information, with a link to the full story,
on the home page. That will act as a breadcrumb for the
engine to follow-the engines will follow your link to learn
more about it.

Any of these reasons, and dozens of others, are great
reasons to make changes to your site. If you make keeping
your website current a priority, it will pay off with
better search engine rankings and increased sales and leads
through your website.

Once you've decided to make your changes, the next choice
is how to go about doing that. There are two steps involved
in maintaining your site:

1. First, decide whether you prefer to edit your content on
paper or online. This can be done in a couple of ways. You
can start by printing the pages that have outdated
information and then updating that information on paper
first. Or, you can copy and paste the outdated content from
your website into a word processing program such as
Microsoft Word and then edit that file on your computer.

2. After you have updated your text content you can choose
either to make the changes yourself or to hire a web
designer to make the changes. There are several tools that
you can use to make changes to your site yourself. We
recommend an easy-to-use tool called Macromedia Contribute.
It's fairly inexpensive, its simple to set up and learn,
and it allows you to back up to older versions of your site
if you make mistakes.

We suggest that you use this tool to make only simple text
changes. More complicated changes-for example, to the
overall design or navigation-are more difficult to make,
and having a professional make those changes will save you
energy and frustration.

If you are comfortable with a more complicated software
program, then we recommend a professional-grade tool such
as Dreamweaver. With a better software package, you'll be
able to make some of the more complicated changes yourself.

By building more-and more current-information into your
website, you will also begin to build trust with your
potential clients, since they will have a snapshot of
what's currently happening in your business and available
to them. Your website can go a long way towards making sure
that your online prospects know, like, and trust you-which
can lead to more sales from your website.

2 Secrets to Become a Wealthy Marketer

Even if it took you 6-12 months to learn how to market
correctly online so you were making at least a 6-figure
income for the rest of your life would you do it? Most
people would answer yes. However, the truth is most people
are expecting to get rich quick and lack the proper
education on what it really takes to become a wealthy
marketer.

Marketing Budget:

I used to think that it took a huge marketing budget to be
able to come in and make significant income online but I
have since discovered that is not true.

Secret #1:

The first secret to becoming a wealthy marketer is article
marketing.

There are so many free marketing techniques and strategies
that are actually more effective than all the paid methods
combined when you know how to correctly implement them. I
have noticed from my own personal experience as well as
from learning from others that all of the most wealthy
marketers online implement these free techniques.

Free marketing techniques include writing press releases,
article marketing, and participating in forums and blogs.

To show you how powerful article marketing is, I wrote an
article a few weeks ago and within two weeks it had spread
to over 14,000 other pages. My website became flooded with
free traffic, I jumped up in the search engine rankings
fast and I made sales on autopilot.

Secret #2:

The second secret to becoming a wealthy marketer is selling
your values.

Market your values and your personality. Put the emphasis
on yourself first and then your products second.

Questions you should be asking yourself are: What do you
have of value to offer others? How can you help others?
Because people want to make sure you are going to help
them, and that you are going to be able to be the solution
to their problem.

Sell your honesty, your personality, your desire to help
and most importantly your knowledge. Your knowledge is the
power and it is a power you can share

Once you are able to build that relationship of trust with
someone, they are going to like you because they know you
are going to ensure their success.

Combining article marketing and your values will bring more
traffic and convert more sales than anything else.

If you want to increase your value to the world, then
increase your knowledge base. Once you increase your
knowledge and are able to truly help other people get what
they want you will become a wealthy marketer.

Create a Professional Looking Website in One Day

Being in business for yourself means that you don't
necessarily have a lot of time to waste in creating plans
or developing your website. But the good news is that you
don't have to spend long hours creating a professional
website. All you need is one day, one webpage building
program, some background in webpage building, and a clear
vision for your company. After that, you can sit back and
watch your visitor totals climb.

Clean and Simple Does the Trick

The first thing you need to keep in mind is that you don't
need to include a lot of fancy details and programs in
order to create a nice website. In fact, if you look at
other professional websites (law firms, for example), you
will notice that they are actually quite simple. The main
page is a simple center article or introduction with a side
or top column menu that directs the visitor to other places
of the website. You might find some simple pictures on
this main page as well as a list of services and products.
But other than that, the main webpage is meant to inform
the reader of what is available, making them feel
comfortable with the content rather than creating a
confusing maze into the website.

Proofread, Proofread, Proofread

It can not be stressed enough that that you need to
proofread your website. Even if you have your content
written by someone else, you need to have it proofread by
yourself or by someone else. Even the smallest error will
be detected by a scrutinizing website visitor, making you
look like you didn't take the time to look over your
content. Make sure that you read every single line of text
on the site to be sure that everything makes sense and then
have someone else read it to see if it makes sense. Adjust
anything that isn't completely clear.

Stick with a Subtle Color Scheme

When you want to look professional, you want to stick with
muted colors that add to the website appeal, but do not
detract from the overall content. Of course, when you're
advertising clown services, bright colors will be in order.
However, in most cases, muted reds, mauves, and blues are
good choices. They don't overwhelm the site visitor and
they are calming, allowing your visitor to feel 'at home'
at your website. If you want to use multiple colors, be
sure to limit the use of colors to no more than three
coordinating colors. This will prevent your site from
looking too busy.

Use Professional Photographs instead of Graphics

If you want to use pictures on your website, it's typically
more professional to use photographs than to use graphics.
By using 'real' images, you will create a sense of a real
business with live people that will take care of the site
visitor. These pictures will also help to identify the
website instead of utilizing the same graphics that are
used on other websites. Black and white photographs can be
placed as a background to give the website some interesting
features, without being too overwhelming or distracting
from the text you want your visitor to read.

You will also want to make sure that you are using high
resolution photographs of your products. You want the
customer to be able to clearly see what they are
considering buying.
