Autoresponders And Your Customer Service

Autoresponders And Your Customer Service
Generally, customer service is performed one on one with
each client. It works wonderfully offline, however online
communications do not offer this luxury. With clients all
over the world, it is not possible to deal with each
personally. Autoresponders are excellent business tools for
such situations as this.

Autoresponders make customer service so much easier. An
autoresponder can send out sales receipts for a completed
order, as well as information for accessing the product and
thank you emails. Autoresponders are there to use whether
at your computer or enjoying a well deserved vacation.
However, customer service does not stop there. If you are
away from your computer, you may be letting one of your
clients down.

For example, an elderly man finds your product interesting
and places his order. Everything is fine. He gets his
receipt, the download information and the thank you email.
The product an ebook you have compiled into a PDF
downloadable file. However, this man has no idea what a PDF
file is or what you mean by right click to download. He
needs customer service. He has purchased your product,
needs help and there is no one around, with the exception
of your autoresponder.

You should also set up an additional autoresponder that
sends out a FAQ or frequently asked questions for problems
that concern customer service and how to access the
product. You need a support autoresponder for such
occasions. When he sends a message to support, he should
receive an email telling him that the message has been
received and when it will be addressed. This provides him
with a bit of comfort. In most cases, clients will wait for
an exact period of time for assistance.

On the other hand, if he has no idea how to download the
ebook sends his message to support and receives no reply,
more than likely he will quickly become very dissatisfied.
Autoresponders can and should be set up in less than 5
minutes. This can make a difference between an irate client
and a patient client. It really is worth the time to do so.

Sit down and consider any potential problem that may arise
for your clients when thinking out your ordering process.
Once you have your autoresponder, set up for addressing
these problems you will find satisfied customers enjoying
your customer service. Why is this? It is because your
autoresponder handled their problems promptly.

Top 3 Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions Overnight

Top 3 Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions Overnight
The ideal world of affiliate marketing does not require
having your won website, dealing with customers, refunds,
product development and maintenance. This is one of the
easiest ways of launching into an online business and
earning more profits. Assuming you are already into an
affiliate program, what would be the next thing you would
want to do? Double, or even triple your commissions, right?
How do you do that?

Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate
program commissions overnight.

1. Know the best program and products to promote.
Obviously, you would want to promote a program that will
enable you to achieve the greatest profits in the shortest
possible time.

There are several factors to consider in selecting such a
program. Choose the ones that have a generous commission
structure, have products that fit in with your target
audience and that have a solid track record of paying their
affiliates easily and on time. If you cannot seem to
increase your investments, dump that program and keep
looking for better ones. There are thousands of affiliate
programs online which gives you the opportunity to be
picky. You may want to select the best to avoid losing your
advertising dollars.

Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your
site. There is a great possibility that you are competing
with other affiliates that are promoting the same program.
If you start writing short reports related to the product
you are promoting, you will be able to distinguish yourself
from the other affiliates. In the reports, provide some
valuable information for free. If possible, add some
recommendations about the products. With ebooks, you get
credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will
be enticed to try out what you are offering.

2. Collect and save the email addresses of those who
download your free ebooks. It is a known fact that people
do not make a purchase on the first solicitation. You may
want to send out your message more than six times to make a
sale.

This is the simple reason why you should collect the
contact information of those who downloaded your reports
and ebooks. You can make follow-ups on these contacts to
remind them to make a purchase from you.

Get the contact information of a prospect before sending
them to the vendor's website. Keep in mind that you are
providing free advertisement for the product owners. You
get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects
directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost to
you forever. But when you get their names, you can always
send other marketing messages to them to be able to earn an
ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only.

Publish an online newsletter or Ezine. It is always best to
recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a
stranger. This is the purpose behind publishing your own
newsletter. This also allows you to develop a relationship
based on trust with your subscribers. This strategy is a
delicate balance between providing useful information with
a sales pitch. If you continue to write informative
editorials you will be able to build a sense of reciprocity
in your readers that may lead them to support you by buying
your products.

3. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If
you are already successful with a particular promotion, you
should try and approach the merchant and negotiate a
percentage commission for your sales. If the merchant is
smart, he or she will likely grant your request rather than
lose a valuable asset in you. Keep in mind that you are a
zero-risk investment to your merchant; so do not be shy
about requesting for addition in your commissions. Just try
to be reasonable about it.

Write strong pay Per Click ads. PPC search engine is the
most effective means of advertising online. As an
affiliate, you can make a small income just by managing PPC
campaigns such as Google AdWords and Overture. Then you
should try and monitor them to see which ads are more
effective and which ones to dispose of.

Try out these strategies and see the difference it can make
to your commission checks in the shortest of time.

The Dismantling Of Authority

The Dismantling Of Authority
As an ex-CEO of a major lead company, I have built and sold
a lead company in what I'll call the hey-day of lead
companies. For more than a handful of years now, lead
companies in a multitude of verticals have seen huge growth
and profits. Let me be the first to tell you, if you don't
already know, the hey-days are gone.

I was responsible for one the fastest growing lead
companies in the industry. I was also fortunate to cash out
before the coming storm. The looming storm for lead
companies is a huge opportunity for business owners. Never
before in history of the internet has it been easier to
create leads and customers with free advertising online.
It's seems like there are growing numbers of business
owners who have found the secret to the online traffic
formula.

For more than fifteen years I have been in the business of
marketing sales tools that help companies generate more
leads and customers. The combination of a sluggish economy
and current state of increased access to massive lead
generation capabilities has created the perfect storm of
opportunity.

If you've seen what has happen to the music industry over
the past five to seven years, you'll start to get an idea
of what is happening to lead companies. Distribution
channels have changed in a huge way. Forget about being
dependant on buying expensive leads or costly PPC campaigns
from Google. The small, highly focused entrepreneur who has
figured out the online traffic formula can generate massive
lead campaigns on their own.

The best skill set to have in today's marketplace is the
ability to generate leads and customers for any business.
The knowledge of how to empower another business owner with
this ability to generate massive lead campaigns on demand
is the most universal opportunity of our time.

Imagine being able to teach anyone how to properly generate
leads within any niche market. How much value can you put
on this type of ability? Is it worth a cup a coffee to you
or to some business owner you know? It just might be worth
more than a chain of Starbuck's and easier to manage as
well.

The world of internet marketing is changing faster than you
can imagine. So I want to encourage business owners to
think big, be bold and learn how to generate leads, instead
of buying leads, cause now is the time.

Affiliate Marketing Training -- Is Online Business For You?

Affiliate Marketing Training -- Is Online Business For You?
Affiliate Marketing training is not about helping you
select the HOT program, signing up, and checking your bank
account. Initially, it is all about YOU and what you will
need to bring to the table in order to join the ranks of
successful Internet Marketers. A typical training series
may well start out, "In the coming weeks, you will ...."

First, if your reaction to "in the coming weeks" is,
"c'mon, cut to the chase and show me the money", ... you
probably cannot be helped, because ... The Magic Pill Does
Not Exist! Your earning potential on the Internet is
limited only by your willingness to consistently take
positive action. If you charge off like Indiana Jones in
search of the Magic Pill to Riches, well, hopefully you
like fantasies that don't have a happy ending. Learn,
strictly follow your plan, be consistent, don't get
distracted, and you will become one of the Success Stories!

Let's establish obtainable goals

* You want to attain financial security.
* You want total control of your business.
* You do not want your business to envelop your life.
* You want to be proud of what you have accomplished.
* You want to help other people succeed.

You are reading this because you probably fall into 1 of 3
categories:

* You are EXPLORING entering the field of online marketing
and wish to achieve the above stated goals.
* You have ENTERED the field of Internet marketing, but are
getting frustrated in trying to achieve these goals.
* You have ESTABLISHED a successful business model with
another product, have it on virtual autopilot, and are
looking to reinvest your time into another potential stream
of income.

If you are a 1 or 2, you need what 3 has ... an
established, successful, business model. To do that, you
must follow a focused, organized, step by step plan. In
spite of all the extravagant promises you will see as you
explore possibilities, the fact remains that your success
will be determined by your consistent commitment to
reaching your goals, one step at a time.

Your Timing Could Not Be Better ....

World wide, online sales are currently estimated at 600
billion dollars per year, and increasing dramatically. Your
$100k per year is waiting for you, but you'll never grab it
maintaining a shotgun approach and hoping for the best.

But what about those bank statements that you see showing
$400 per day in sales? Well, most of them are probably
true. And, those sales may well have been generated by that
particular product. However, what you aren't told about is
the rock solid business plan/marketing strategy that this
person has developed over months, or even years, depending
upon the amount of time and commitment that was available.

As an example, if you were planning on preparing a
wonderful 5 course dinner for some very special guests,
would you not agree that intimate knowledge of each menu
item would be necessary to accomplish your goal?

In order to become a successful Internet marketer, the same
is true. Each component of your business plan must be
completely developed and set in motion before your profits
will explode.

Are we talking about those 2 four letter words .... Hard
Work???

Yep, and we also need to throw in time, consistency,
organization, goal orientation, some money, and
determination. Don't move towards the "page close" key
yet. Here are some words that will make all of the above
worthwhile: fun, challenging, personally rewarding, own
boss, freedom, network/friend building, and most of all,
financial security NOW and for the future.

Unlike our example above, where making money by applying
culinary skills can involve considerable time and expense
for training, as an Internet marketer, each step that you
add to your business model will create income for you
exponentially. The more that you consistently put in, the
greater your long term rewards.

You will find ebook and FREE offers available virtually
every day. Many are a source for good information and
perhaps a potential profit generator. Then again, some are
not. Always remember the mantra ... "Take the Best and
leave the Rest". Focus on those available tools that will
help you TODAY, not kinda, sorta, maybe down the road.

You're going to have more "new best friends" than you know
what to do with. You must become very selfish with your
valuable time. If you have committed 3 hours to work on
your business, don't waste 1 hour opening emails and
chasing websites that sound interesting. Save them for
future viewing and accomplish your daily projects first.

While you're business is growing, you probably will
purchase something that doesn't work out. Be thorough, ask
yourself if this product will help you now, or does it just
seem too good to pass up. We have ALL frittered away money.
But always remember, you can recover lost money, but you
can never recover lost time!

One of the most enjoyable aspects of developing an online
business is the amount of creativity that you can use.
There are no set methods for developing opt-in lists,
advertising, search engine optimization, etc. Find a
program or product that really interests you. Conduct a
search and read what people have to say about it. Ask
about it in forums. Set on it, get over the hype, and look
again. If you're still excited ... go for it. Success
will NOT come to you ... you MUST take action!

It is certainly helpful to mimic successful marketers, but
you will find that your growth will be much greater IF you
strive to understand exactly how all of the pieces fit
together in order to make the whole. Be a student at all
times, not someone else's employee.

Success in your online business is achieved in the same
manner as a "brick and mortar" business ... Learn ...
Develop ... Apply. Your success will be determined to a
great extent by what is "between your ears". There is
absolutely no need to re-invent the wheel ... After all, it
is Your Story ... begin writing it.!

This Does Not Work!!....I Give Up!!....I Quit!!.......WHY?

This Does Not Work!!....I Give Up!!....I Quit!!.......WHY?
Why is it that so many people fail when they try to make
money online with a residual income opportunity? I will
give you some insight as to why the failure rate is so high.

Support - The newbie marketer does not get enough upline
support. They are given a web site to advertise and they
don't have a clue how to do it. Some uplines are only
concerned with how many people they can recruit to earn
residual income, and is not really concerned with helping
their members earn too. Also some upline members don't even
keep in contact with their members or even support them on
a regular basis.

Advertising - People are not shown exactly how to
advertise. So they end up spending so much time searching
for ways to do it, and so many times loose money on
ineffective advertising methods. If a system is to be
duplicated then someone should be letting the newbie know
the best places to advertise.

Training - Not everyone has that much experience. People
fail because they are not given the training they need to
succeed. Some residual income opportunities assume newbies
will know how to do certain tasks. A person needs to have
some training in order to succeed online. Even one with
some experience could use a little guidance.

Duplication - If a system cannot be duplicated by anyone
who tries it with all there effort. Then it is bound for
failure. Many affiliate marketing programs out there are
great for an experienced marketer to go out and succeed,
but it is not easily duplicated by anyone who tries it. A
system must to be able to be duplicated in order for
someone to succeed with it and create residual income.

Focus - Many people are opportunity jumpers and while they
are advertising their residual income opportunity, they see
other ads and get lured. People don't stick to what their
doing and stick to their opportunity. Many people still
think there may be something better even though their
opportunity is probably a good one. A person has to stay
focused on their opportunity to succeed with it.

Patience and Effort - So many may think just because they
are involved in a great residual income opportunity they
are going to succeed. They do not realize the effort that
must be put forth in able to earn any successes with that
opportunity. They think the got a great web site and it's
just going to do well by doing not much at all.

----------------------------------------------------
People have come and gone out of the internet marketing
game. The serious person who wants to work with a residual
income opportunity and succeed, must have the drive and
patience to lead him to a strong residual income. You can

programs listed on my website at the following link =>

Getting Started On MySpace

Getting Started On MySpace
People in business who don't have a presence on MySpace are
missing out on an enormous marketing opportunity. There are
hundreds of millions of people who regularly use the
MySpace site. That equates to hundreds of millions of
potential business contacts. MySpace is also absolutely
free to use. In all frankness, applying a MySpace presence
does require some time and effort if one is looking to get
maximum value; but the time and effort required doesn't
have to be overwhelming, and can provide significant
results besides.

The first way to establish a presence on MySpace is to sign
up for a MySpace account. Getting a MySpace account is
virtually an automatic process and doesn't require any sort
of payment: MySpace generates income by displaying
advertising, not by charging users. Once a MySpace account
has been established, a person is provided with what is
known as a profile. This profile is pretty much what the
name would imply: a profile of the MySpace user. Profiles
can be presented in any number of ways, and can even be
decorated according to individual tastes. When it comes to
a MySpace profile, it's best to give one's profile a nice
look and feel. This implies giving a level of effort to the
MySpace experience.

Some people new to MySpace aren't sure where to start when
it comes to decorating their profiles. An obvious resource
is to browse other MySpace profiles. There are some very
creative profile designs to be seen, which can provide not
only ideas but also inspiration. It's best practice to
present a MySpace profile in a way that appropriately
reflects your MySpace presence. For instance, if you're
promoting an insurance business you probably don't want a
MySpace profile that's especially wild and crazy. On the
other hand, if your business is fun then your profile
should be too. Something to ideally avoid is to leave one's
MySpace profile set at default. Default MySpace profiles
are pretty drab to look at it, and give the impression of a
lack of care and effort.

Once you have a MySpace profile up and running, the final
order of business is to query other people for your
friend's list. Putting a friend's list together simply
adding other people's profiles to your MySpace page. Having
a friend's list is crucial however if one wants to develop
any sort of network, whether it be for business or social
reasons. Without a friend's list, your MySpace profile will
be nothing more than a drop in the ocean: no one will be
aware of it. But once you start adding friends, people
become aware of you and your profile starts to stand out.
Then you're truly part of the MySpace experience.

Big Wealthy Marketer-Don't Forget Your Ticket

Big Wealthy Marketer-Don't Forget Your Ticket
What is this industry, internet marketing, all about? It is
a new program in the home business arena. Nevertheless, it
is competitive, bringing fresh ideas and new tactics to the
table that other marketing companies have not been found to
offer. For example, incentives that makes the novice
internet marketer believe that he/she CAN be successful
working from home. Today let's explore internet marketing
to determine if it has what it takes to help you believe
and see that anyone can be a successful internet marketer.

After looking at what several internet marketing companies
had to offer to the home business entrepreneur, there were
many differences that keeps certain companies in a class of
its own. The main similarity is that most companies online
specialize in software and an overabundance of ebooks that
teach online users how to market online and make money.
Most companies have everything from software to add audio
to a site to ebooks that reveal the secrets to effective
marketing online. Members of internet marketing companeies
obtain full resale rights of all of these materials.

The primary difference is the large library of industry
specific videos that one internet marketing company offers
all members. These videos, according to the CEO and
sponsors, can cost up to $1500 per minute for someone to
have produced outside of the company. This company gives
its members the opportunity to resell these industry
specific videos to website owners at a fraction of the
cost. On the site it is revealed that these videos can be
sold to any type of business, for example, a real estate
agent to help in promoting the business online. Most
importantly each member can set their own price for the
industry specific flash videos and keep 100% of the price
they chose to sell the flash videos.

Another big differentiation between the internet marketing
companies is the way in which members are paid. Most
internet marketing companies have a flash presentation that
details the process to becoming an internet millionaire.
There are four separate income streams that one internet
marketing company members have available to them. Here are
some highlights:

1) Members earn between $300 and $900 for each of their
personal product pack sales 2) The company has matching
override commissions. This means that when a member
sponsors and trains a new member, both members benefit
financially long term because the sponsor receives a
matching commission amount of up to $900 for every personal
sale their members make. 3) Product sales from the library
of industry specific flash videos and ebooks 4)
Administration fees are paid to the members of up to $50 of
the $75 monthly members ship fee. The monthly membership
fee entitles each member to the additional flash videos and
products the company adds the member library monthly.

An additional incentive is how some internet marketing
companies provides support to its members. This is a
compensation plan that rewards team work. They have five
opportunity calls per week and always invited questions,
comments, and concerns via any communication modality 24/7.
In addition to this there are team trainings for all
members and exclusive, members only, resources that walks
the members through the steps to become successful online,
at ones own pace, be it fast or slow.

In conclusion, there are definitely internet marketing
companies that have programs that are set up for a newbie
or a seasoned internet marketer to succeed. With ongoing
trainings and support that some online companies lack, this
makes be on the look out for a perfect internet marketing
company fit for anyone interested in supplementing or
replacing their income in an online home based business.
There are companies that offers the right combination of
products, commissions, teamwork, and support for its
members.

Why Your Grant Application Will NOT Be Approved....

Why Your Grant Application Will NOT Be Approved....
Every day, 25 to 50 grant applications hit my email box,
and I can tell you that on average, only 1 applicant every
day will even make it to the final review process. I
quickly scan each application and move 99% of them over to
the "does not meet requirements" folder.

Am I being cold and heartless? No, not at all. In fact,
most of the applications are heart wrenching tales of
people who truly need the money - the problem is that they
are not applying for the right grant.

You see, each grantor, whether it is a government or
private sector entity, has certain guidelines and protocols
that MUST be met before an application can even be
considered for the grant funding to be awarded.

In my case, I award a small business grant several times a
year, The Amber Grant For Women Entrepreneurs. The average
grant size is $500, and each grant period deadline is
clearly stated on our web site, along with the amount to be
awarded.

We also have a terms & conditions page that advises
grantees to make sure that their project can be completed
with the amount awarded, or that the amount would make a
substantial impact on the project.

Instead, at
least half of the applications are for building purchases
or renovations, or the purchase of manufacturing equipment,
autos etc.

Obviously, these applications never make it past the
initial review because the funding needed is far beyond our
grant award - and yet, these applicants are no doubt
sitting and waiting for their grant application to be
reviewed - frustrated when they don't get their
money.

The next problem that I encounter is the description of the
applicant's business proposal. We ask for a detailed
description of the business venture, and how the funds will
be used. "I don't know what I am going to do but I know
that if I had the money I would be able to start a
business" shows up more times than you would believe.

Want to guess where these applications wind up? You guessed
it - they certainly don't get moved on to the 'finalists'
round.

The FIRST step in finding a grant for any venture is to
make sure that you are applying to the RIGHT SOURCE! Read
the Grantor's guidelines thoroughly BEFORE you apply.

You are simply wasting your time if you apply for a grant
that doesn't fund the kind of project you are planning, or
for the amount that you need.

The second step is following the instructions - answer the
questions in detail, put some thought into it. Make it
sound as though it matters - because if you want the money
for your business, it SHOULD matter!

Grants for businesses are almost impossible to find - don't
lessen your chances even more by ignoring the
guidelines!

Social Networking for Network Marketers: The New Era

Social Networking for Network Marketers: The New Era
Social Networking is simply the big topic right now, and
even more so if you are in network marketing. First the
only social networks were all free to join networks like
MySpace and Facebook. Their networks are open to anyone and
everyone, have grown like wildfire and became increasingly
well known. Even network marketers have joined and marketed
their opportunities or products through these sites. It
certainly does work even though these social networks
aren't even target audiences who would be more inclined to
their offers.

However, the value of marketing on Myspace and Facebook is
quickly dropping. This is due to the massive release of new
and niche focused social networks. The fact is that this
year alone I have seen an increasing number of professional
social networks geared towards network marketers launching
and becoming increasingly popular. To name a few:
TalkMoola.com, Zenzuu, Friendswin, Yuwie, and Wowzza. A
couple older ones are DirectMatches, AdLandPro, and even
Ryze. Honestly I wouldn't even be the least bit surprised
to see a few more start-up this year - that is how much it
is catching on! It is also obvious why they do become so
popular among network marketers, because there is no better
advertising than targeted advertising. Exposing your
business opportunity, system, or product to other network
marketers is simply the most effective thing to do. Once a
network marketer joins you they already have had their foot
in the door and are somewhat knowledgeable about the
industry and can greatly help your business. However if a
random person from MySpace sees and joins your business
they are not nearly as valuable to you because they most
likely have no idea what they are doing or what network
marketing is even about.

So when network marketers are invited with the ability to
join a social network full of network marketers it is
almost a no-brainer. Just to clarify why I said "almost"...
It is because not all network marketers have caught on to
the power of social networking yet or how to properly use
social networking to explode their businesses. But the
ability to further expose themselves and their business to
other like-minded people is extremely valuable and
profitable for most. The old way of network marketing is
out, and I see the future holding tight to social marketing
through professional social networks. Even so, many of
these new business social networks are offering incentives
for those who join. These range from revenue sharing,
direct affiliate commissions, and various MLM pay plans.
This only supports the increasing awareness and exposure
that I believe these new networks will and deserve to
receive.

All professional social networks, however, are not created
equal. Here are a few things you need to look out for when
deciding which ones you will utilize in exposing yourself
and your opportunities.

1) Somewhat Targeted or Extremely Targeted?

When looking over your social networks find out if the
people involved in the social network are the type of
people who would be interested in what you have to offer,
or are like-minded to you. This means that if you are a
network marketer looking to provide an opportunity to other
network marketers then the people involved in the social
network should be strictly network marketers. Does the
social network include people looking for a date or love?
If the social network includes this or niches totally
unrelated to you then this weakens the potential of that
network for you. However, if the social network is only
network marketers or business opportunity seekers then it
is an incredible source for you.

2) Are there limitations on contacting your friends in bulk?

Building up your friends list on social networks is one
major thing you need to do to get the most exposure. This
means accepting friend invitations from those within the
social network and also seeking out other like-minded to
add to your network of friends. The larger your list of
friends the more active you will appear to be and the more
people will take heart to what you have to say. It also
means more people who you can send messages to through the
social network. Some social networks limit the amount of
people you are able to send a message to at once. For
example you have 100 friends and they limit you to only 30
people per message, this is a negative thing and is
especially bad if you have a much larger network of
friends. On the other hand, some social networks will let
you add unlimited friends and you can send them a bulletin
or message to all your friends at once anytime with ease.
This is what you should be looking for because whether you
have 100 friends, 1,000 or even 10,000 you can send them
all a message just as easily as if you were sending it to
one. This means potentially huge exposure for you. If you
want you can even consider it like an instant contact list
of targeted prospects! However, I do warn about sending too
much unwanted messages to your friends, you should try to
connect with them and send them as much quality information
as you can instead and then lightly introduce what you have
to offer. If you consistently send what they would consider
as spam messages they will just block you or remove you
from their friends' network, so using the social network
properly is important.

3) Are the members free, paid, or both?

The quality of the membership is another factor. If the
membership is mostly free then they are less likely to be
purchase ready. However, if the membership is all paid and
everyone is used to paying to be a part of the social
network then these are the highest quality members you can
get in touch with because they will have the money to
invest in working with you. Mixed is fine though as this
factor is not as important as the first two.

4) What are the other site incentives?

This is the least important but should still be mentioned.
Other incentives could be the pay plan such as revenue
sharing, affiliate commissions, or some type of matrix
structure. It could also be other services provided with
your cost of the membership such as training, tools, or
other bonuses. Keep in mind, even if they do not offer
great incentives but the rest of the above factors are
positive I would still be excited to join.

Right now there is not a huge selection of targeted
professional social networks but I am positive that the
future will hold true for more and more becoming available.
Personally I like to take advantage and join any social
network because that is extra exposure for me, and any
extra exposure is always a good thing. However when
choosing to be most active in select networks you may want
to consider the above factors. I have created many strong
relationships, learned a lot, taught a lot, and profited a
lot from those relationships within social networks. I
recommend taking advantage of any professional social
network, especially niche ones that have like-minded
individuals similar to yourself. The benefits can be
enormous.

3 Sure Ways To Lose Opt-In Subscribers Quickly

3 Sure Ways To Lose Opt-In Subscribers Quickly
In the beginning, getting a "you've got mail" message was
exciting. But today, we are all bombarded with email
messages that the excitement of receiving an email has lost
its luster. And to make matters worse, most email messages
aren't worth getting excited over in the first place.

Part of the problem is Internet Marketers don't realize how
important the transition from visitor to subscriber is.
And as a result, they don't respect the subscriber. Just
think about it, you've changed your visitor from someone
looking for information to someone asking for information.
This is an important step in the trust process between
marketer and potential customer.

The fact is, to build a responsive list of opt-in
subscribers you need people to trust you, and trust you
quickly. The faster they trust you, the less likely they
will hit the unsubscribe link and disappear forever. So,
gaining your subscribers trust should be priority number
one.

Here are 3 things to avoid to keep your subscriber from
hitting the unsubscribe link...

Interpreting An Opt-In Subscription As A Free Pass For
Endless Marketing

A person subscribes to your list because there is something
in it for them. Maybe you offer an eCourse, or a free
report. But the point is, they want something bad enough
to share with you their name and email address. So, give
them what they want. Deliver the goods. Make good on your
promises! Don't think this gives you the right to bombard
them with offers in the hopes they'll eventually buy
something. Most won't, and most will become disappointed
and unsubscribe. So, make good on your promise and then
market to your list responsibly.

Marketing Every Product Under The Sun To Your Opt-In List

As I started earlier, people join your list because there
is something in it for them. Normally, they have a problem
and believe subscribing to your list will either provide
the solution or bring them one step closer to the solution.
Here is your opportunity to prove your worth and provide
the CORRECT solution to their problem. Don't offer them
one solution one minute and then 20 different solutions
afterwards. You'll lose their trust as someone who can
truly help them, and hit the unsubscribe link.

Creating A One Size Fits All List For Multiple Topics

If you have the capability to build a list by having an
Autoresponder service, you probably have the capability to
have unlimited lists. So, don't try to group everything
into one list. Break your topic into sub-list so you are
always providing the specific information your subscribers
want. If you have on list that talks about a lot of
different topic, as soon as the topic of the emails doesn't
interest them, they're likely to unsubscribe.

Remember, your visitor trusted you enough to share with you
their name and email address. This was a leap of faith on
their part. They believe you have answers to their
questions and solutions to their problems. So, now, the
ball is in your court. You must respect your opt-in
subscriber and nurture their trust. If you do this
correctly, you'll be rewarded with a responsive opt-in
list, more affiliate commissions, more sales and more money
in the bank. If you do this wrong... "click", you're gone.

Include Online Testimonials to Woo Would-be Buyers

Include Online Testimonials to Woo Would-be Buyers
If you want to overcome your prospect's natural reticence
and dubiousness, there's nothing like a good dose of
testimonials to allay their fears. Comfort them with the
knowledge that someone else has bought your product and has
genuinely found if useful.

Mug shots. When you get testimonials coming in, or even if
you ask for them, remember to ask for a photo as well. It's
fairly easy these days for anyone to scan in a photo of
themselves and convert it to a JPEG. They can then email it
to you. If this is a problem for them ask them to mail one
in so you can scan it in yourself. Be sure to always post
it back to them with a nice note of thanks. Both your
website and your prospects willingness to buy will be
enhanced by this simple technique.

Add A Signature. I'm always disappointed when I get to the
end of a testimonial, only to find there is a simple text
signature. OK, I can understand that some people might be
reluctant to let their signature be openly seen in the
public domain, but it is well worth asking for a scanned
JPEG or an original by post, in the same way as for photos
(above). A signature adds to the feeling that here is a
real person who is serious about using the product and will
put your prospect more at ease.

Video Clips. Let's face it; video clips are THE thing on
the web these days. Everybody's doing it. If your
testimonial giver has a webcam ask them to do a brief video
of around 30 to 60 seconds and email it to you. To find out
more about putting video onto your site search for
something like 'real video' or 'website video'.

Audio Clips. If you can't run to video clips then try audio
clips. These are much easier to do and can be recorded over
the phone. Just use a mini tape recorder, but make sure
your subject knows you're doing it, and play the finished
result to them before going live.

Contact Link. As a 'thank you' to the person supplying the
testimonial, ask for some contact information so that your
potential buyers can contact them with questions or just to
visit their website. Put this under their photo or at the
end of the testimonial. This adds another layer of trust in
your prospects mind. All good for sales!

One last point: It's probably best if you can show a
mixture of these tactics on your site rather than using all
the same type. Some of your visitors won't want to listen
to lots of, say, audio spiel every time, and will be glad
just to read a testimonial or two instead.

How to Make a Fortune in Domain Name Wildcarding

How to Make a Fortune in Domain Name Wildcarding
In our world today, and especially over the next decade,
the internet will become more than just a way to check
sports scores and movie showtimes: it will literally become
an extension of global consciousness. The more a country's
population has rapid internet access, the more conscious
that country's population will be. This has recently been
evidenced by the internet crises in Africa and the Middle
East when large undersea cables were severed and business
nearly came to a stand-still in these areas.

In fact, if Benjamin Fulford is chosen to be the new
Finance Minister of Japan, the large Japanese foreign
dollar reserves (near $5 trillion) should no longer be
spent funding America's war and instead will be spent on a
global humanitarian mission to provide citizens in third
world countries with adequate food, modern resources, and
an internet connection for nearly every person. Are you
beginning to see the potential of the internet? In the near
future, EVERYONE will be connected to it. If you are a
reader of "What is Enlightenment" magazine, then you
already understand the fact that the Web 2.0 boom is
literally creating a haven and gathering place for higher
consciousness.

The purpose of this article is to introduce you to a way to
make large amounts of money that very few people know of,
called domain name wildcarding. But more than just giving
you practical information about this single strategy, I
want to walk you through what it takes to identify a new
opportunity for business and profit that has been made
possible by rapid changes in communication technology. Due
to the fast-paced nature of technoogical proliferation, the
internet of 1-5 years from now will be much different than
the internet of today, and it will be the men and women who
can take in and understand all of this new technology and
what it means for society, and then identify and take
advantage of the new opportunities presented who will be
the financial juggernauts of tomorrow. I want you to be one
of these new tech-savvy modern moguls.

What is Domain Name Wildcard Redirecting?

Before we go any further, I want to explain to you exactly
what the concept of a 'wildcard' means in internet terms. A
wildcard is basically a domain name that does not exist, or
for a search engine it can be a string of words that have
never been searched before. In fact Google states that a
significant amount of all of its searches (over 25%) are
wildcards, meaning that when a person does their search
they are the first person ever to type those exact words in
that exact order. So if you were to type a domain name
directly into your web browser and you made a typo, and the
typo version was not registered, this would be a wildcard.

For example, the most popular top-level domain that you are
probably already familiar with is 'com,' but the top-level
domain 'cm' is called a country code TLD and is dedicated
to the country of Cameroon. So if a person were to type in
a certain domain name and accidentally forgot to type the
'o,' then they would be redirected to the domain name
servers of Cameroon. Probably one of the most notable and
press-worthy examples of making money with domain name
wildcarding is Kevin Ham dealing directly with the
government of Cameroon so that anytime a person on the
internet makes a typo and forgets to type the 'o' and the
resulting 'cm' domain name is not registered, they will be
redirected to one of his websites.

There is a good chance that you might not be in a position
to take advantage of the opportunity presented by domain
name wildcarding, because you will need a very large budget
in order to even compete in this esoteric industry. In
fact, if you have some serious spending power and decide to
really get into this market, you will be going up against
companies like Verisign and large internet service
providers. It will also help if you are experienced in
software and web development and have a good background
knowledge of how the domain name industry works, otherwise
your competition will soar ahead of you.

If however, you do have the courage and spending power to
venture into this realm, there are many opportunites that
are just coming into existence. If you are reading this
article then you are probably aware of the new 'asia' top
level domain that has recently been launched and the
resulting corporate spending spree that it created. There
will probably be a new wave of controversy following this
and other internet industry developments, and if you are
savvy enough to see the signs then you might be in a
position to take advantage of massive opportunity.

Verisign is one of the main companies that competes in this
industry, but many internet service providers (ISPs) are
also getting into the mix by creating their own landing
page anytime a domain name is typed into a web browser that
does not exist. Most of the time these landing pages
redirect to a search page with results related to the words
in the mistyped domain name and also sponsored results,
which is how they make money.

Applying the Wildcard Concept to Search Engine Optimization

Another way that you can make money with wildcards on the
internet has to do with search engine optimization. As an
example, many people are coming online looking for ways to
create an online income so that they can quit their job, so
a term like 'e-commerce' will have a lot of competition in
the search engines. But if you were to take a longer term
such as 'make money with only a laptop,' there is a chance
that long multi-word search terms like this are wildcards
or at best only get a handful of searches per day. If you
could get even just 3 links pointing to your webpage with a
long and hardly used keyword, and if you also incorporate
this keyword into the title and header tags of the page,
then you will very likely rank at the top when anybody
searches for this term.

So in conclusion, the bottom line is this: Domain name
wildcard redirecting, if you have the resources to take
advantage of it, can be a stellar way to get free visitors
that you can redirect to any website you deem fit. But
moreover, reading through this article has been a mental
exercise that should make you more able to identify new
opportunities as they come about from changing technology.

DIY websites - flexible money savers or false economy?

DIY websites - flexible money savers or false economy?
The question of whether to go it alone with your website
design using a template package, or whether to work with a
professional website designer can be a tricky one for life
coaches.

The reasons that coaches give for taking the DIY route
almost always focus on two particular areas: saving money
and maintaining flexibility. So let's take a look at some
of the related pros and cons...

** Saving money **

Okay, so you can't afford to pay thousands for an
all-singing, all-dancing website with bells, whistles and
heaven knows what else? But the good news is that you don't
actually need a fancy website to get clients.

What you do need is a clean, professional-looking website
that encourages visitors to leave you their name and email
address details.

If you can create just such an attractive, business-like,
contact-gathering website using a low-cost template
package, then great... go for it! And even if you can't get
the professional look yourself, you could try using the low
cost template option as an initial testing ground to help
you develop your ideas.

But make sure you don't get seduced by the potentially
false economy of the DIY option. It doesn't have to cost a
lot to get a simple website designed professionally. But it
might cost you heavily in missed business if you don't.

** Maintaining flexibility **

How about the benefits of control and flexibility? Well
it's true that if you've designed your own website, you
then have the freedom to make changes and updates as often
as you like. This is a definite plus.

But what if you want to make upgrades to your website that
you either don't know how to implement, or your template
package doesn't support? Then you find yourself stuck in a
distinctly inflexible place, unable to move your business
forward because a lack of technological ability is blocking
your way.

So before you opt for the DIY route, have a think about
where you want your client-attracting website to take your
business. What expansion and development routes do you have
in mind? Will your template provider be able to support
your requirements? Are you likely to have the time and the
know-how to do it all yourself?

** Making profitable use of your time **

Saving money and maintaining flexibility are very good
reasons for designing and managing your own website if they
truly work in your favour. But what about your time?
There's always that question: how else could you be using
your time and energy to grow your business if you weren't
doing your own website design work?

As Bernadette Doyle advocates... outsourcing is the way to
go if you want to make a real difference and free yourself
up for the important revenue producing activities.

My advice for most life coaches, then, is to find yourself
a good website designer who will produce a clean and
professional site to your specifications. This doesn't have
to cost a lot of money, particularly if you are crystal
clear about your requirements. The update process doesn't
have to be costly either - just make sure you agree in
advance how it will work and what the charges will be.

All that said... I know that a rare few do exist who
positively relish learning new IT skills, who are
technologically adept AND who have a good design eye. So if
you are one of that happy breed, then who am I to persuade
you away from the fun and flexibiity of DIY website design?

How To Build Your List By Using iFrames

How To Build Your List By Using iFrames
Retaining your visitor's attention while they are on your
site is a well-known problem for many webmasters. Visitors
get distracted and click away from your page or site
without performing your chosen tasks you had planned for
them to carry out.

How rude of them!

Many times it is the webmaster who is to blame... a poorly
constructed webpage can result in a lost sale or a lost
subscriber. Many times the core reason for this failed
manipulation has to do with the layout of the webpage
itself, than to any lack of interest on your visitor's part.

Most webmasters, especially those who are into marketing,
want their visitors to do two things:

1. buy their product or click thru to an affiliate link to
buy a product

2. sign-up or opt-in to their newsletter to receive
follow-up information

This is where problems can arise, visitors may just opt-in
and they are quickly wisped away to a thank-you page. Or
the visitors might buy the product without signing up to
your newsletter list.

Many professional webmasters use a squeeze page where they
capture the contact information of interested customers.
Others use Pop-ups or Fade-ins to capture contact
information. But many times having your visitors go thru
all these different pages can be distracting and result in
bounces or lost sales.

One simple solution to this common problem is to keep your
visitors on your main sales page and still collect their
contact information. This can be easily done by the use of
a simple iFrame.

An iFrame lets you insert content from another website into
your current page without distracting the reader. It is a
popular way of inserting another HTML page on your current
webpage - advertisers such as Amazon have long used
iFrames. The new widgets are another way of accomplishing
this same task.

By using the iFrame code, you can open or display your
autoresponder sign-up form directly on your sales page.
Then as your visitor signs up for your list or newsletter -
you can display the thank-you page in the same iFrame, all
the while keeping your visitor on the sales page and still
reading your message.

Setting up your iFrame code is quite simple. Here is some
sample code you can use. Keep in mind, you can adjust the
size of your iFrame and the color of the page background,
etc. - like you would do with any HTML webpage.

<*IFRAME src="http://www.YourSite.com/yourcapturepage.htm"
frameBorder=0 width=450 height=150><*/IFRAME>

Remove *'s in actual code for your iFrames.

Your lead capture page will contain your autoresponder
form. All professional AR services such as Aweber or
GetResponse will supply these forms which you can place in
your iFrame. Then once your visitor has signed-up, they
will receive your thank-you message right on the page in
the iFrame. Just design your HTML thank-you page to fit
neatly in your iFrame window. Keep in mind, all these HTML
pages have to be hosted on your site's hosting account.

Why is this so effective?

The main reason why using an iFrame can be very effective
is because your visitor NEVER leaves your page, they can
continue watching your video, reading your sales message
while they sign-up to your list. Many webmasters will offer
incentives for people to sign-up with extra videos, free
software downloads, free marketing tips... people will
gladly give you their contact information if you provide
them with valuable information they can use. Just use an
iFrame to make the whole sign-up process easy and seamless
for your site's visitors to do.

Increase Your S.E. Rankings With a Simple Redirect!

Increase Your S.E. Rankings With a Simple Redirect!
Can a simple URL redirect really lower your search engine
rankings?

Yes, it can. In fact, your competitors can easily use this
Achilles' heel to overtake you. However, you can safeguard
your website now!

Merging, renaming, and especially moving web pages and
subsequently, web addresses are commonplace. While the
methods of redirecting URLs are many, there is only a
single right way to make it search engine friendly. The
most efficient and effective Search Engine Friendly method,
301 Redirects.

Canonical Domains & the Problem with Duplicate Content

Canonical domains, also called subdomains, allow you to
have other domains based off of your primary domain. They
are part of the domain name system (DNS). An example is
info.yourwebsite.com where 'info" is a subdomain of the
domain 'yourwebsite.com'. Here, the DNS entry for the
domain yourwebsite.com points to a specific IP address on a
server.

Canonical domains serve as aliases to domain names. Again,
info.yourwebsite.com points to the same IP address as
yourwebsite.com since it does share the same host server
(where you upload your website files). Other possible
canonical domains of yourwebsite.com are
email.yourwebsite.com, store.yourwebsite.com, and of
course, www.yourwebsite.com.

These subdomains can also be used as individual websites.
Yahoo, for example, uses subdomains for their different
services like mail.yahoo.com, messenger.yahoo.com, and
more. These subdomains forward to another location.

So what is the dilemma?

Well, to both the DNS system and us,
http://www.yourwebsite.com and http://yourwebsite.com bring
up the same web site since they are the same.
Unfortunately, to search engines, they aren't the same
since they treat subdomains are entirely different websites
but with duplicate content. Therefore, they will be ranked
lower since search engines penalize for duplicate content.

Beware of Your Competitors & 301 Sabotage

Your competitors for search engine ranking can easily
exploit the problem above. They can find further instances
on your website that use www and non-www links. They can
link these problem spots, again unintentional duplicate
content, to further reduce your rankings. This is known as
301 Sabotage.

How to Protect Your Website & Ranking

The first step in protecting your website and ranking is to
see if your website needs protection at all.

Step 1: Enter your website URL http://www.yourwebsite.com
(replace 'yourwebsite.com' with your own domain).

Step 2: Watch the address bar to see if your destination is
www.yourwebsite.com or yourwebsite.com. Keep the answer in
mind.

Step 3: Now enter http://yourwebsite.com and see where you
land.

After checking both http://www.yourwebsite.com and
http://yourwebsite.com, did you land at the same URL (in
this case either www.yourwebsite.com or yourwebsite.com)?
If in both scenarios, you land at the same URL, you have no
problems. As long as you land at the same place, it really
does not matter how you got there.

For example, as long as www.google.com and google.com land
on the google.com (without www), everything is fine.

However, if you land on different pages but with the same
content, your website is open (whether intentionally or
not) to exploitation via 301 Sabotage. Don't worry, all you
need to do is implement a 301 Redirect to protect your
website and ranking.

How to Do 301 Redirection

The single correct method of redirecting your domain name
to protect against 301 Sabotage and lowered search engine
ranking is HTTP 301 (redirection header) or 301 Redirection.

HTTP Protocol is basically a set of headers that makes the
Internet work. HTTP headers are seamless. Therefore, they
are usually invisible to your website visitors. Yet they
are a vital part of web server to web browser (IE,
Netscape, FireFox, Safari, etc.) communication. Since they
are exchanged before any web content, such as an HTML page,
is sent to the browser, they are called headers. Basically,
they appear at the head of the document.

Part of the standard HTTP headers control redirection.
These are known as 3xx Headers since they are numbered from
300 and on (300, 301, 302, 303, and so on). In particular,
the HTTP 301 header designates that a web page has been
moved permanently. Another header usually immediately
follows and communicates a new location that the web page
has moved to.

Everyone (and everything) from website visitors to search
engines now know that a web page or domain name is no
longer in use. It also knows what the new location to be
used is. Search engines, specifically, will automatically
index the page as the same page.

While there are many techniques to do a 301 Redirection,
some are best suited for forwarding entire websites and
others for individual pages. The three ways to do a 301
Redirect include:

The PHP header() function for web server's that support PHP

The mod_rewrite function for Apache web servers

The built-in forwarding that your web host might provide

Before testing any of the 301 Redirection methods above,
you should first clear your web browser's cache. This will
allow you to see if it works or not. FireFox web browsers
especially need to have the cache cleared or you will get
an error message saying the URL Redirection limit has been
reached.

Conclusion

As you have read, being proactive about problems that may
lower your search engine ranking is not too difficult.
Implementation of 301 Redirection is a simple and easy way
to make sure your website and ranking is protected. In
fact, 301 Redirection is the single correct way to address
301 Sabotage and other issues, whether intentional or not,
that may threaten your search engine ranking.
