Striking a Balance between SEO and List Building

Striking a Balance between SEO and List Building
Traffic to your site is the very lifeblood of internet
marketing. With over a million new web pages being created
daily the chances of a potential customer finding you at
just the right time is very slim.

Therefore building a search engine optimized site is
important in order to get a rating close enough to the
front of the list a user will find your site before tiring
of the search or finding their purchase elsewhere.

First off, SEO is designed to get "leads" to your website.
It is only after you get them to view your information that
they may become customers. It is impossible to know every
nuance of what the search engines look for but there are a
few firm rules for improving your ranking.

Firstly you must use exacting html code. Removing
depreciated code elements will make your page more modern
and relevant and easier for the spiders to read. Your text
must contain a fair number of your keywords in appropriate
places.

Be sure to include keywords in the alt tags of photographs
and headers. Also make sure you have the proper information
in your meta tags and make sure that links to and from your
page are relevant to the content.

Never rely solely on search engine traffic to make your
site prosper. Too many variables can come into play. For
one, the search engines routinely change the details of
what they are looking for and also the actual words typed
into a search box may or may not fit the exact wording of
your keywords.

However good SEO is it is still a random source of viewers.
With a list of opted in e-mail clients you have a direct
market to people who have already shown an interest in what
you are offering.

Some care should be shown to exactly how you use your list
since it is a valuable commodity for your business. Unless
you have just one product you will want to group your list
into subcategories of user interests.

If for instance you have a group interested in software you
would want to avoid sending them advertisements for
hardware and electronics. Focusing on their interests will
keep them from beginning to see too many uninteresting
emails and possibly unsubscribing from your mailing list.

Your list can form a group of people loyal to your product
or ideas. To increase your list and create a viral growth,
it is possible to engage your existing clients to spread
the word for you. An irresistible product that can be
offered for free or a huge discount if your customer has
referred someone else to you can win even greater suport of
your efforts by those who use them.

Building a good SEO page is a one time task. Updating data
does not require extensive reworking. List building on the
other hand is an ongoing process.

Even if you only update your site infrequently, an hour a
day working on advertising to drive new people to your
signup squeeze page will eventually grow your business to
new levels of success.

10 Tips You Need To Know For Writing A Highly Persuasive Ad

10 Tips You Need To Know For Writing A Highly Persuasive Ad
Do your post a lot of ads? I'm sure you do if you run a
business. It's very important that you know how to post ads
so you can get the best results from your efforts. So I've
put together a list of 10 things you can do to greatly
increase your ads chance of success.

1. Publish a picture of yourself in your ad. This will show
people that you're not hiding behind your web site and
you're not afraid to backup your product. People love to
see a face. Doing this will help increase how well your ad
does.

2. List how many famous or respected people have purchased
your product in your ad. These people should be fairly
known by your target audience. If people hear or know well
respected people bought from you they instantly will have
more trust in you.

3. Publish the results of any tests your product has passed
in your ad. Your product may have passed a durability test,
safety test, quality test, etc. The results of these tests
will greatly increase your chances of success.

4. Publish the results of any positive surveys you've taken
from your customers in your ad. Just survey your current
customers and list the results. Everyone loves to know what
others think about a product before they buy it.

5. List any publications that have written about your
business in your ad. It could be a product review, on a top
ten list, an article, etc. This is just another little
trick to do. People love information, and it's a great
seller.

6. List any related books that you've written in your ad.
When you list a book(s) you've written, it gives you
credibility because it shows you're an expert. People love
to work with someone who knows what they are doing.

7. Have a professional looking web site to publish your ad
on. When people visit your site and it looks
unprofessional, they'll relate that to your product. I
always like to look at a website like the doorway to your
store. If it looks junky nobody will enter.

8. Publish any endorsements from famous people in your ad.
Some people will think if a famous person enjoys your
product, so will they.

9. Use a money back guarantee in your ad. This will remove
the risk from your potential customers and show them that
you stand behind your product. Doing this will give people
are more secure feeling about buying from you.

10. Provide testimonials from satisfied customers in your
ad. The testimonials should include specific and believable
results you customers have received. Again everyone loves
to know what other people think about your product before
they buy it.

So there you have it. Ten steps to help improve your ads,
and have them convert better to increase your sales. If
your not doing any of the above 10 steps yet I highly
recommend you start making the changes right away. I feel
it will only help and benefit your business in the long run.

Ink Pink Do Your Links Stink? : Link Building Strategies That Work

Ink Pink Do Your Links Stink? : Link Building Strategies That Work
When you own and operate an online business, your number
one concern is most likely how to get more visitors to your
money making website so that they can see the products and
services you offer, and hopefully make a purchase.

When you think of visitors you might think of customers
walking into a store, and in order for them to find your
store, you have to have some advertisements running so
people know you exist, what you offer, where you are, and
how to get to you.

Internet businesses are really no different, except that
the way you reach an online market may be a little
different from the offline markets. You can post ads
around the net, and you can put up squeeze pages to get web
surfers to sign up for your newsletter.

But what you really need to think about and focus a lot of
your energy on when building an online business is building
links so that customers can find you. Not just any links,
but good quality links.

You've probably already heard many times over that the best
way to get good quality links fast is by writing and
distributing quality articles, and blogging as much as
possible.

Just note that when you write articles and blog posts, it's
not just about coming up with enough words - you need to
use keywords that are being searched by your potential
visitors in the search engines.

This is where search engine optimization, or SEO, comes in.
You need to get your articles and blog posts optimized for
the search engines. This means researching keywords with a
good keyword research tool, using the ones that will bring
you traffic, and placing them wisely within your article
and blog posts.

What I mean by that is that your chosen keywords and
keyword phrases should be in the title of your article or
blog post. When you do this, you will get noticed much
faster by the search engine spiders and your post will show
up when you do a Google search.

Scatter those same keywords throughout your post, being
careful not to overdo it. One keyword per paragraph is
plenty.

Another technique of linking using your articles and blog
posts is by using hypertext links within your actual
articles and posts. Hypertext links get more attention
from the search engines than just regular text, as well as
using bold letters or italics.

Also, when you use links within your text, and use the
keywords you have carefully chosen, then deep link back to
another page in your site, rather than always just your
main page or main blog page, then you will find yourself
with more traffic.

This is because you are pointing to more pages within your
site as a whole, and leading your customers to other
related, and helpful links that are on the same subject
they are reading about and interested in.

Another way to gather links pointing back to your site is
by surfing the web for sites related to your content. You
can also buy software that helps you do this search, or
just search Google for the high PR sites you want to link
to that have good content like you also have.

Reciprocal linking can be done with these sites, providing
a link to each other's site. While reciprocal links can be
effective, they can also be detrimental to your site's
ranking. It's not so important these days to worry about
linking for page rank though. Concentrate more on getting
quality links from quality sites that have quality content.

As you can see, the focus here is really on quality. If
you offer quality, you will get quality people linking to
you naturally.

There are other good ways to link that you can explore, but
if you know these top methods of linking and how to go
about it properly, then your links will get out there, get
seen, and get clicked on.

Remember that linking is all about content and keywords and
if you know this, and apply what you know consistently,
then you will do great with your linking strategy. Don't
think you can do just a little bit and then stop. It is an
ongoing process that requires your love and attention.
