Can a Husband & Father of Two Make Money Online?

Can a Husband & Father of Two Make Money Online?
My name is Mark Molina, I’m an architect in Las
Vegas, NV. I work for someone else. It’s a good job
with very little overtime. The owners are great and caring
people. So why would I be looking for a home based
business? I’ll tell you why…two
words…Time Freedom. Working for someone else leaves
me no Time Freedom.

As I approach age 46 with 2 children, age 3 and age 7, my
values have changed, I no longer want to climb that
corporate ladder. Working 40-50 hours a week just
isn’t appealing anymore.

This brings me to my journey to find the perfect home based
business. Is there really such a thing? Well, I was
determined to find out. I knew people were making money
online, but how were they doing it? Did they have a
regular job? or was there online business there full time
job? How could a husband and a father of two possibly have
time to make a run of it?

My journey started about 3 years ago when I saw my first
multi-level marketing presentation. I thought, boy this is
it. The circles on the board made perfect sense. I bring
in three, and they bring in three so on and so forth. This
is going to be easy. I just have to invite all my friends
and family and they will all sign up. They will see
exactly what I saw. WE WILL ALL BE RICH! Where do I sign?

So I paid for my representative package and I dug in. I
started inviting all my friends and family to these local
meetings. They thought I was crazy. They would come just
to humor me. To make a long story short, no one signed up.
It went on like this for months. No signups and a garage
full of products. Sound familiar?

I later found out that the top producers in the company
would spend 8-10 hours a day on the phone calling leads,
selling the opportunity. Who has time for this?

I had a full time job. I maybe had 2 hours a night.
Needless to say multi-level marketing left a bad taste in
my mouth. But I was not going to give up. For the last
three years I have tried everything…mlm’s,
network marketing, direct sales, ebay merchant, affiliate
marketing, day trading stocks, you name it I’ve tried
it.

The common denominator of failure between all of them was
lack of time to dedicate to make them work. I just didn't
have the time to put into them.

Still not giving up, I started looking for a business that
had a system already in place. A business that would run
on autopilot. A business that requires little time to run
for someone who had a full time job, because the fact is
you have to work your full time job until your can start
making enough money to quit your day job. It’s a
catch 22. Was there really such a business out there?

I ran across several businesses that claimed to be fully
automated, but when I dug deeper found that you still had
to do a lot of phone work calling leads.

Just when I was about to give up on my dream of time
freedom. I received an email from a friend that I
respected and trusted. Oh no, here I go again. Just out
of respect, I clicked on the link.

What I discovered was nothing short of a miracle. It was a
system and a website so thorough, a website with no hype,
no B.S. just the facts and a product that was awesome and
in high demand. I found that this business truly required
no selling, no telling, no cold calling, and best of all,
no inviting friends and family to meetings. This was the
business I had been searching for for three years.

So needless to say I jumped in with both feet. I have
never been happier, and never looked back.

The sales are starting to come in and I’m on target
in 6 months to quit my job and create the life and
lifestyle I have always dreamed of.

Never give up on your dreams. If you are a husband and
father or a wife and mother looking for a lifestyle change
or looking to get out of the rat race, I encourage you to
take a look at this system, because systems work, people
fail.

Email Marketing Basics Part#1: Introduction to Email Marketing

Email Marketing Basics Part#1: Introduction to Email Marketing
The phenomenon of emarketing is, of course, the age-old
practice of direct marketing/advertising remade in modern
dress. “Direct marketing” is often used
interchangeably with “direct mail.” But it can
range from the catalog that arrives along with your letters
and the advertisement inside your billing statement to the
flyer slipped under your windshield and even to the
salesman knocking at your door.

There was a time when marketing directly to customers and
potential customers was considered the poor stepchild of
more sophisticated forms of advertising, and upscale
businesses did not regard it as a viable, elegant solution
to their marketing problems.

Savvy marketers soon realized, however, that mass direct
marketing could provide immediate sales results, create a
personal connection with customers, was more cost effective
than billboard or display advertising when the object is to
get immediate results, not just to create awareness.
Perhaps most importantly, direct marketing lends itself to
greater measurability and to testing variations in form and
content to determine the best approach. Today it is
universally regarded as one of the most effective forms of
advertising.

Direct marketing can be any marketing method that takes the
initiative aims to establish or maintain an immediate,
one-to-one relationship with customers and prospective
customers, rather than waiting for them to discover you in
more general, impersonal forms of advertising.

Direct marketing is most powerful when it is used as part
of a direct response strategy – that is, asks the
recipient to take some immediate action – order a
product, get a free gift, enter a contest, give a donation.
Perhaps since the advent of the Sears catalog in 1893, the
most popular and powerful form of direct response marketing
has been via U.S. postal service.

Advent of eMarketing

But times have changed. Digital delivery is rewriting
business rules and redefining direct marketing. The advent
of electronic forms of communication such as email and the
Internet have given marketers new and even more cost
effective ways to become more focused and granular in their
marketing efforts.

The rise of the Internet produced a gold rush not only in
commerce, but in new expectations for online marketing.
Many of those expectations were inflated: not all Internet
marketing has proven to be created equal. Although
successful while still a novelty, Internet advertising
response rates are quickly eroding. Users are inundated
with banner ads everywhere they go on the Internet.

While it is true that advertising on vertically targeted
portals can produce better than average click-through
rates, banner ads can be a difficult medium to achieve
marketing goals.

Marketers looking for an effective way to reach customers
online are turning to email. Email has quickly become a
communication standard and the Internet’s most
popular application. Both the number of email users and the
usage rates are continuing to grow exponentially.

According to eMarketer, by the end of 2000, there were 96.6
million email users in the U.S. representing 43.8% of the
total population of adults and teens. In an effort to
realize the commercial potential of this powerful
communication medium, U.S. companies spent $496 million on
email advertising in 2000, a 177% increase from 1999.

Email is by far the dominant digital delivery application
and is already used much more than traditional “snail
mail”. Over 395 billion messages were delivered in
the U.S. in 1999 as compared to 202 billion pieces of mail
delivered by the U.S. Postal Service. Just one year later,
in 2001, over 536 billion email messages were delivered
– an increase of 35 percent in a single year –
versus a growth in postal deliveries of less than 3%. In
2000, some 22 percent of email messages were commercial.

Google Adsense vs Affiliate Programs

Google Adsense vs Affiliate Programs
Google Adsense is a structured way to earn good money out
of what Google makes from its advertisers on Adwords. The
way it works is that advertisers pay top dollar to get
their ads listed on Google. Google gets paid on every click
that happens on the ad. By distributing the ads on your
website and mine, they stand to gain more exposure, regain
advertising funds quicker and also pay us good money!

Why you benefit?

The reason Adsense has become so popular is because it
allows websites like ours to earn good money from the
commissions Google receives from advertisers. By just
placing a couple of ads on the site, you can earn a good
commission percentage. However, there are certain drawbacks
that an Adsense program has.

What it can do for your site

One good thing about Adsense is its immediate ability to
boost your page ranking and popularity on search engines.
That way you tend to receive a lot of traffic to your
affiliate site. Also, people with affiliate programs on
their site can actually look at Adsense as an alternate way
of supplementing their income. Adsense lets you monitor
which ads are performing and earning you most income. They
do this by placing some Javascript code into your site
which monitors the performance. Most of the time the
traffic that comes to your site will most likely not find
what they are looking for, on your site alone. That's where
Adsense helps you. Even if customers don't find what
they're looking for on your site, they can still visit the
ads sponsored by Adsense and help provide you additional
income. It basically provides you an alternate path to earn
money online.

The context

In order to make your Adsense program most profitable as
part of your affiliate program, you need to ensure you have
contextual and relevant ads placed on your site. Else it
defeats the very purpose. You want customers to click on
these ads if they don't find something on your site. Hence
it needs to be closely related to your website theme and
your own products. Most contextual ads are characterized by
lots of clicks but poor conversion rates. So make sure to
test these ads out before placing them on your site. Pros
and cons Both affiliate marketing and Google's Adsense have
their own pitfalls and benefits. Here we explain the pros
and cons of each.

Google Adsense:

Pros:

- Good for informational sites which do not have associated
affiliate products to sell

- It allows you to create a content page without worrying
about updating the content

- Very scalable. Adsense sites are low maintenance which
make these good for the upkeep of multiple sites.

Cons:

- Not a good income generator when considering long term
opportunities. It's because mailing lists are best for
building customer relations. In Adsense you aren't asking
for a subscription, instead just asking customers to click
on ads.

- Search engine dependency. Adsense sites predominantly
depend on the search engines to divert traffic. Hence if by
chance an algorithm changes on a search engine, you risk
losing a lot of income and traffic in the process.

Affiliate marketing:

Pros:

- More long term in nature which allows you to build on
assets and customer relations

- Main focus is on creating and building email lists since
they are the backbone for all promotional efforts

- Allows you to focus on a niche segment you like. This is
unlike an Adsense program which tends to focus on only high
paying keywords.

Cons:

- Involves the use and skill over persuasive tactics in
order to coax customers to visit the site and buy products.
For novices, this can be a difficult aspect.

- Every site needs plenty of effort. You need to spend time
in creating product reviews, email list creation as well as
web content creation - which can take up considerable time.

Balance it out

Both Adsense as well as affiliate marketing have their own
advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, the best approach
would be to balance the two to maximize your income
potential online. You could have content on your site which
you are interested in, while combining it with Adsense
revenues.

Pay It Forward With Your Home Business Opportunity Online

Pay It Forward With Your Home Business Opportunity Online
You may have heard of the phrase "pay it forward" and not
really understood what it meant before. If you have
understood the concept, then you may not have put it into
practice yet, or realized how it can relate to your home
business opportunity online.

To "pay it forward" means that when you have been the
recipient of an act of kindness, then you repay this act of
kindness to others, which can start a whole chain reaction
of random acts of kindness, leading to a whole
transformation of spirit.

You may ask what this has to do with your home business
opportunity online, but believe me, it has everything to do
with it!

The concept and its effect is much like viral marketing
when you own a home business opportunity online, where
everyone gets involved and is affected in some way that can
wind up being something huge.

I was recently reminded of the concept of "pay it forward"
after having a foot surgery that has left me in crutches
for most of this month. For one thing, I have a new and
stronger feeling of empathy for those who are disabled, and
less fortunate than myself. This makes me feel blessed for
my health and soon-to-be two happy runner's feet.

In return for these spiritual thoughts of late, I have
received many acts of sympathy and kindness from those I
know, people I have seen but have never talked to before,
and also from total strangers on the street. These
kindnesses will never be forgotten.

That's where your home business opportunity online comes
in, and why paying it forward has everything to do with
your online business success. If you still don't get what
I mean, then think about how you feel when someone does
something great for you with no expectation of anything in
return.

A home business opportunity online is all about
relationships – Relationships with people you know,
and relationships with total strangers, prospects, clients,
potential customers. The way you treat your customers has
everything to do with what you get in return.

So what are some ways you can "pay it forward" with your
home business opportunity online and treat your prospects
and customers extra special so that they turn around and do
the same for a few, if not many, other people to build a
giant network of people helping people?

One way to pay it forward is to offer a mentoring service
for your home business opportunity online. If you expect
people to sign up for your programs and pay money to join,
then you better be there to teach, guide, and offer
continual, lifetime, and free support.

Forums, blog posts, articles, and emails are a great way to
keep in touch with and assist your downline and prospects
in your home business opportunity online.

It's also a good idea with a home business opportunity
online to give gifts on a regular basis as though your
customers are gold. I don't mean just the regular freebie
downloadable e-books, but consider giving cash every once
in a while to those who are struggling, or those who have
helped sustain your business.

A small gift like this can go a very long way, and show how
much you appreciate others, especially when it is totally
self-less, random, and unexpected.

Another option of paying it forward in your home business
opportunity online is by helping others by giving them some
free public recognition to help boost their sales.

You could feature a customer's name and product or service
in a high-traffic forum, blog post, or article, spreading
their links around in ways they can't do themselves. You
could also offer to rotate their links on your high traffic
site.

The best ways to do business with your home business
opportunity online are ways that are totally self-less,
where you have the chance to do something good and
heart-felt for someone less fortunate than yourself. Your
act of kindness will not be forgotten, so don't forget the
power of paying it forward!
