What I know about the Internet Businesses

I've been on the Internet for years, never made a million
like all the others would have you think. Don't get me
wrong I have not given up yet!

What with all the systems I got into, I found out a few
things. 1) You need a list to email to, but where do you
get a list. I tried every way to get a list. The quickest
way I tried was with a giveaway sites. But the trouble with
that, if they want free things and you give then free thing
why should they come back after they got all your free
things.

2) I tried through eBay, this is slow but they are buyers.
I put ebooks for $0.99 and sold them costing me about
$0.50, so I would have to sell 50% to brake even well
nearly. But I sold one in four. But they did buy other
thing from me after I emailed them with an offer.

3) Squeeze pages is another way of adding to your list. But
how do your get them to your squeeze page in the first
place. I did that and the first time I did it I added 24 to
my list and earned $160. So I did it again. Got none earned
nothing.

4) I heard that Joint Venture could build your list. Well I
am going to try that soon. When I figure out how to do that.

The thing is with each way you try out, you add to the big
picture and one thing helps the other. So put the ideas
together and your list starts growing. If you try all the
ways that are cost, when you do make money you could start
paying for it.

Then you will double your list size, so you will then have
twice-as-much money, to double your list again. If you had
just $2 and you doubled it every day for 20 days how much
would you have? Well its $2,097,152.00 or 2 million on your
list.

You got your list, which should be in an autoresponder. Now
you should send them a weekly email about your latest
products, with links to there sales pages. There are many
members' sites, which you can get new products with resell
rights.

When you get your new product it should come with a sales
page. You need to edit it with your payment processor; your
payment processor will have scripts to put on your site to
take payments.

Once you have edited your sales page, all you have to do
now is up load it to your server; Hosting companies hold
your server. Now you have done that, promote it to your
list but don't wait till you have 2 million to do this.

Affiliate Marketing - Checking Clickbank Products For Customer Satisfaction

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online and
when you market Clickbank products you have the assurance
that you will get paid without any hassle. In case you are
new to affiliate marketing and are not familiar with
Clickbank, I'll explain a little about it.

Clickbank is the Internet's leading retailer of digital
products. By signing up as a Clickbank affiliate, you get
access to thousands of digital products. The products
include hundreds of ebooks on all sorts of topics,
anti-virus software, video instruction courses. In fact,
if a product can be downloaded, Clickbank will have it.

You don't have to worry about keeping track of individual
programs or making sure you get paid, Clickbank does all
that for you by acting as middle-man between the affiliate
and the product vendor. All you need to do is choose
programs through Clickbank and promote them. Clickbank pays
affiliate commissions regularly every two weeks.

When choosing programs to promote, you will obviously be
drawn to programs that have a high conversion rate - ie a
high percentage of the people who click through to the
program actually purchase it. There is, however, a further
thing you should be checking when choosing Clickbank
products to promote and that is the refund rate.

Clickbank has a no quibble refund policy. This policy means
that prospective customers will be more likely to buy a
product because they can feel safe in making a purchase
since, if the product does not live up to the advertising,
they can obtain a full refund without any problem.
Obviously, if a product is not satisfactory to customers,
it will have a high refund rate.

You can check the Clickbank refund rate of a product, by
making a simple calculation. When you are selecting
products, one of the pieces of information available is
$/sale. This is the simple formula for calculating the
refund rate of any product:

(Commission - $/Sale)/Commission = Average Refund Rate

Example:

Product Price - $49.95

Commission - 75% ($37.46)

$/Sale - $27.29

Average Refund Rate = (37.46 - 27.29) / 37.46 = 0.27 = 27%

A refund rate of under 15% indicates a high level of
customer satisfaction. That however, is not the whole story
because conversion rates also have to be taken into
account. Although a product with a refund rate of under 15%
can reasonably be expected to be a satisfactory product,
you can still earn commissions on products with a higher
refund rate if they also have a higher conversion rate. So
always bear in mind both conversion rate and refund rate
when selecting products.

Strategy for Digital TV

Strategy Paper for Overcoming DTAG Market and Technology
Advantage

This paper was created for a venture capital company and
subsequently used to target cable accessible markets in
Germany. The paper has been parsed in this forum to
separately cover Digital TV, Broadband Data, Video on
Demand, Telephony, Interactive TV, Gaming and Colocation.

DIGITAL TV

Digital TV is an already established fact of life in the 6
DTAG cable regions. The issue is the way the network is
designed, i.e. a 500MHZ system. The current system is
excellent for providing Digital TV systems, however there
are two serious future downsides.

1. This 500MHZ system is unique. Therefore much of the
equipment used in this system is only used for this system.
Upside – Equipment custom made to work quite well in the
system. Downside – Escalating maintenance costs.

2. The bandwidth available on the current system is
insufficient without a tremendous amount of reengineering
and unique customization.

3. Upside – If not expanding services nothing need be done.

4. Downside – If expanding offerings, system should be
upgraded in order to remain cost effective in equipment
acquisition and operational maintenance costs. This
entails either mitigating risk by expanding to a system to
840MHZ or increasing risk by using new bleeding edge
bandwidth optimization technology.

As much as possible, the enterprise should try to use COTS
(Commercial Off the Shelf) systems which are used by other
enterprises in order to lower the cost of doing business,
keep maintenance costs in line with/or lower than industry
standard, and to insure the availability of competitively
priced parts over the lifespan of the systems. Using
standardized (COTS) equipment has been proven to lower
acquisition and maintenance costs over the lifespan of the
systems. The current 500MHZ system does not allow this to
be an option.

Our suggestion is to upgrade the enterprise to an 800MHZ
(840MHZ) system that uses standardized equipment. An
800MHZ system allows the addition of services, the ability
operate under common degraded conditions while still
maintaining high quality signals, use of existing proven
architectures, future expandability, flexibility in
offerings and services, etc. The upgrade can be
partially financed by partnership agreements with the Level
4 operators in non-high density metropolitan areas. The
dense populations of Munich, Berlin and a few other cities
can more than justify the financial outlay needed to
upgrade systems. Conversely, some sparsely populated and
rural areas of the former East Germany cannot sustain a
cost efficient upgrade in the short term. We suggest
either a contracted operations/management agreement with
the Level 4 operators to help finance this part of the
system, or a very extended "lease" with the Level 4
operators. In the absence of L4 operators, We would make a
very strong case for introducing services slowly and using
other technologies such as point-to-point, wireless and
satellite in those regions. Upside – Common equipment,
common architectures, fault resiliency, lower continuing
costs, expandability, usage flexibility, availability of
resources. Downside – Higher initial costs.

How to Find Profitable ClickBank Products

Congratulations, you've decided that this is the business
for you. You've signed up to be a ClickBank affiliate and
you're all set to go, now how to find the best products to
promote.

Within the ClickBank website there is the ClickBank
marketplace where all the available products are listed.
This listing is updated regularly each evening.

When you search the marketplace listings you can search
through several categories such as Business-to-Business or
Fun and Entertainment. Each category has subtitles like
Web Design or Psychics. You can narrow down your searches
with key words. You've now got a long list of products
available, which is sorted by popularity. For each listing
there is a percentage shown, which is the amount of
commission you would receive for selling that particular
item. For your own sake you want to try to stick with
products that have a commission rate of at least
twenty-five percent. Commission payouts run from one cent
up to one hundred dollars.

Check out the various products available and find the types
of products you are interested in promoting. The high
ranked products are popular but that also means there are a
lot of people promoting them. You may want to try some of
the lower ranked products as there are less people selling
those same products. However, you still want to try to
stick to products that offer you a reasonable commission.
Try to keep to products where your commission is at least
twenty-five percent.

Read over their sale pages well, read them as if you were
the one looking to buy. Would the ad impress you? Does it
give you enough information? Would it make you want to buy
the product? Is it clear what type of customer service is
offered? If the answer is yes, you've got a good product
to try. If the ad leaves you cold it will probably do the
same to people you refer to the site.

While you are checking over the product pages there are
things you need to watch for that can reduce your chances
of making a sale even when you have a really good product.

Is the ad crowded with far too many links diverting your
attention from the product and getting to the order page?
Do you see offers for free reports or sign ups for a
mailing list? These are ways that a vendor can develop a
list of leads to follow up on later stopping you from
receiving a commission. Is there a clear link that would
send your customer to a page where he or she could sign up
to become an affiliate? There goes your commission as they
could then just purchase the product for themselves. Are
there several different payment options listed or does the
site use a pop-up when the customer exits that takes them
to a place where they can make a sale that doesn't use
ClickBank? Either of these will put you in a position
where you will not receive the commission.

Bottom line, there is nothing stopping you from still using
this product but you may want to recommend changes the
vendor that he can make that will still get him sales but
protect your commission.
