Make Money Online - Avoid Scams

Make Money Online - Avoid Scams
Are you looking for a legitimate way to make money online
while avoiding potential internet scams. This article will
give you some helpful tips to get started on the right path.

Detect An Online Scam

An online scam is any attempt to lure and trap you into
spending your money on a dishonest endeavor. More than
likely we have all experienced this feeling of being
cheated. Scam artists commonly make an attempt at personal
contact offering a product or service that sounds too good
to be true. They might send an email, text message, or try
to contact you by phone. They often use persuasive selling
techniques and make you feel as though you would be stupid
for passing up what they have to offer.

However, there are warning signs that you can be aware of
to avoid being scammed. Thankfully, there are some simple
steps that you can take to avoid disaster online.

Don't Buy On Emotion

The best way to avoid being taken for online is by not
jumping into any decision too quickly. If you make a
business decision based on emotion, you are running the
risk of being scammed online. Scammers love to back you
into a corner and make you feel obligated to "join now".
Take a step back and think about the decision that you are
going to make for a day or two. Either it will still be a
good decision after a few days or you might have just
avoided an online disaster.

Get Educated

Use your decision making time wisely. Don't just sit back
and ponder your options. Get busy and start researching the
opportunity that you are interested in to see if it is
really a legitimate company and program. Although you will
likely find negative about every company that you research,
the good should outweigh the bad.

Get An Opinion

It is wise to seek the counsel of a trusted friend or
family member. While your financial future is yours and not
theirs, they might have some insight that you have
overlooked. It is easy for people to be cynical as they
have more than likely been scammed sometime in their life
as well. So take their advise and add it to your list of
pros and cons, but don't use it as the absolute truth.

Take Some Responsibility

There are some people that would tell you that a certain
program is a scam, when in reality they gave up on the
program and are now sour about the situation. Many programs
are legitimate and completely workable. However, they give
up before they can achieve success. So take responsibility
for you and your family's future.

How to Build Your Online Client List

How to Build Your Online Client List
Creating a successful online business is not an easy
endeavor, but your probability of success increases
proportionately with the size of your online client list.
Indeed, the larger the targeted email client list you have,
the greater the chance they will turn into repeat customers.

Think about it this way: You have a client list of 100,
and your conversion ratio is 10%. Thus, you sell 10
products. In stark contrast, you have a client list of
1000. With a conversion rate of 10%, you would sell 100
products. Or, you could have a low conversion rate of only
5%, but still sell 50% products. Although the mathematical
calculations are simple, the value of volume in your client
list is dramatic.

There are several strategies you can partake in which will
build your email client list:

*Engage in a strategic alliance: The tried and true method
of growing your client list is to find a strategic alliance
partner that has synergies with your business. For
example, if you sell accounting software, partnering up
with a small business consultant could be a fortuitous
strategic alliance. You can either choose to exchange your
client lists, or provide each other's clients a discount,
which will lead to additional referrals that grow your
email list.

*Select targeted clients: One of the most cost-ineffective
mistakes business owners make is purchasing email lists
from companies. There is a difference between a real lead
for your client list in comparison to a list of emails.
There is a high probability that nearly all of the people
on the email list you purchase will not be interested in
your product or service - it is too generic. The key is to
target clients that are niche to your product or service
offerings. For example, if you sell wedding invitations,
your niche audience is very niche, and buying a general
email list is essentially useless.

*Utilize a squeeze page: Properly implementing a squeeze
page can significantly increase your client list, as well
as your conversion rates. In a good squeeze page, it
details exactly what the subscriber will receive in
exchange for the email address, and it is important that a
privacy policy is also included. With growing internet
crime and consumer hesitation to give out email addresses,
it is important that the squeeze page not only exude
professionalism, but also assures that the information will
be kept safe.

*Implement a joint venture: Another savvy strategy for
building your email client list is to utilize a joint
venture partnership. Similar to strategic alliances, you
approach another business that has similar synergies to
your client base, offering a commission structure. Your
partner would then broadcast out your product or service
offerings, and then the interested clients will choose to
opt into your email list before they obtain the free
product, discount, or other offerings.

The internet provides business owners with easy and
effective ways to build client lists. By capitalizing upon
these strategies, such as joint ventures, strategic
alliances, and squeeze pages, you can successfully grow
your client list to lucrative levels.

Why No One Will Promote YOUR Product

Why No One Will Promote YOUR Product
At a recent JV Alert Live Seminar, I interacted with dozens
of people with products that they were rolling out or
looking for joint venture partners for.

Some of these products were absolutely brilliant, and
something that the market was clamoring for, so I knew that
they "could" do well.

Other discussions that I had with product creators led to
me jotting down a few important considerations that I'd
like to share with you. These are reasons why you may be
having a hard time getting joint venture partners to
promote your products or projects.

I framed this in the form of what I "may" have been
thinking as some products/projects were explained to me.

1) "Nice Box But What Does It Do (In plain English
please)?"

If you can't explain exactly what your product does, in
terms that your potential JV partners can understand, then
how do you expect them to explain it to their potential
customers. If your explanation confuses a potential
partner then it's certainly going to confuse potential
customers who don't have the benefit of asking you 100
questions about the product.

2) Is The Market Big Enough?

Most of your potential JV partners do limit how many
products they promote and how many promotions they send to
their clients. They want something that's going to appeal
to a large enough segment of their list.

They definitely DON'T want most of their subscribers
asking, "Why did you tell ME about this product?"

Properly structuring a promotion can be hard work, so they
want something that appeals to enough prospects to make all
of that work worthwhile.

3) That's A Commodity - What's The Hidden Benefit?

If your product is just a variation of something that fifty
people have already offered to the market over the past
three years, only with slight variations, what about your
version is different?

You need to frame that difference in terms of a benefit...
ideally a benefit that most of your competitors have
overlooked. Ted Nicholas teaches marketers to find the
hidden benefit. Point out the obvious benefits, but also
point out benefits of your product that are less obvious.

The strange thing is that even if your product is nearly
identical to a dozen others, if you DO point out hidden
benefits that potential customers really care about, then
your product is "different" and "exciting" in their minds.

If many of your potential JV partners just wanted to
promote a commodity, it would often make more sense for
them to develop their own. Inexpensive ghost writers and
programmers are everywhere. You need something that's not
just a commodity.

You also need a product that not too easily duplicated
since, unfortunately, if it's easily duplicated, it usually
will be!

4) Dimes Don't Excite Me!

All things being equal, a potential JV partner is going to
get more excited about a product that pays them several
hundred dollars per sale than they are about a product that
pays them only $20. It usually takes about the same amount
of "work" to sell either product, and often your JV
partners have dozens of their own lower-end products.

When you ask someone to promote an inexpensive lead
generator, most of your savvy potential partners see that
as you just asking them to build your list. Many will
politely decline.

5) What Makes You Think That The Market Wants It?

FAR too many brilliant people have trouble acknowledging
that just because they think that something is needed by
the market doesn't mean that anyone will buy it.

People don't buy what they need. They don't generally buy
prevention! They buy things that they want. They buy
relief from pain. They buy pleasure. They buy safety ... if
they feel really threatened.

If you offer the market anything other than something they
are already screaming for, and already buying from your
competitors in massive quantities, then you face an uphill
battle.

Your potential JV partners don't like selling items that
the market is not already convinced that it wants ... at
least not the successful ones. Experience has taught them
that when they promote things that they have to educate the
market about, it's a losing battle.

6) Nice... But Here's What I'm Working On!

In many niches, like "Internet marketing," most of your
ideal joint venture partners have projects of their own
that they are looking for help in promoting.

When you approach a potential JV partner who has his OWN
launch in a week, they simply don't hear you when you're
talking about your "new blue widget." If anything, they're
looking to see how the two projects might dove-tail.

In a seminar environment, or even on a discussion forum,
it's usually better to introduce yourself, and then ask
what the other person is working on. Look for ways to help
them, and in the process invoke the law of reciprocity.

You might also discover a more profitable project that you
should be involved in than your own. Don't get so "married"
to your project that you're unwilling to recognize
something that makes more sense for you to invest your time
and energy in.

At a minimum, be frank and suggest that you're willing to
swap promotions... provided their product is of very high
quality and a match for their market.

Pitching someone who has 100% of their attention on their
own project can best be done by talking about their
favorite topic... their project!

7) That's A Threat To My Project

Many products are direct competitor to others' products, or
counter-productive to their purpose. So, naturally those
people will NOT promote your product.

An extreme example would be asking someone who has spent
YEARS developing a list of big-ticket buyers, who routinely
buy $5000 packages, to promote your $27 ebook. That
generally goes counter to the conditioning of their list...
and causes them to send out an incongruent message.

Another example would be asking someone running a
membership site to market a product that negates the need
for their site. I have seen this happen :-)

I could list a dozen more reasons why potential joint
venture partners might decline to promote your project, but
that would make this "rant" too long.

Instead, let's end with the real message. When you approach
a potential joint venture partner, ask yourself what's in
it for them, and why they would want to promote your
product.

How will promoting your product help them, their customers,
and things that THEY care about. Be realistic enough to
realize that they don't generally lose sleep at night over
your project. Only you do, which makes getting the message
out about your product... your problem.

That problem goes away if you address the seven issues
listed above. Simple approach the whole topic from the
other person's perspective ;-)

1 No Fail Strategy For Branding and Marketing Your Home Business

1 No Fail Strategy For Branding and Marketing Your Home Business
Are you using branding when you build your internet
business? Most people are not and they are missing a
tremendous opportunity to develop an internet business that
has real meaning to their customers.

In this article I want to talk about a specific marketing
branding strategy as it pertains to using the internet to
make money targeting the home business niche.

Branding is the messaging work a company does to encourage
consumers to feel a certain way about their product. If you
have a business that wants to attract the work at home or
home business crowd you should be working at branding YOU!

You are the brand because people still want to deal with
real people in this niche. Especially on the internet
because there are so many scams and impersonal websites
online.

Most people looking for a way to make money at home just
want someone to help them get started. They want someone
they can trust in, and someone to tell them the truth about
using the Internet to make money.

So how can you use this to your advantage? Here are 6
things you should be doing.

1. Write a free report on how a person can make money
online for the first time in their lives. Tell them you are
going to help them.

2. Give the report way on your website and blog.

3. Get an auto responder to deliver the report.

4. Put a sign up form front and center on your website
where it will be seen. Keep it short so people will actuall
fill it out. All you really need is their first name and
email address.

5. Add your picture to everything you do. Get a quality
picture online that you can use in all of your marketing
efforts.

6. Keep all pages on your site consistent. This means the
same header, background color, font, etc on every page.

Spend the majority of your time talking about how you will
help them. When you do this you are branding yourself as
someone who is accessible and someone who is solving a
problem.

The problem most people have is they want to make money on
the Internet, but they either do not know how, or they have
tried and never made any money. As a matter of fact, most
people have spent considerably more money than they have
ever made on the Internet.

If you really want to brand yourself write an easy to
understand report in simple words about how someone can
make $200 a month on the Internet. Let them know that you
have the answer. If you do this you will have a huge market
of people flocking to you.

In reality this branding strategy allows you to build a
mailing list for future follow. It also allows you to spend
your time marketing your report. By driving traffic to
either a landing page or your website you can concentrate
on getting opt in subscribers for your exciting report.

This is a great strategy to use for marketing your business
because branding yourself will allow you to market any
product at any time. The product is not important, because
with this marketing branding strategy the brand is YOU!

Make Money Online With Affiliate Programs

Make Money Online With Affiliate Programs
Used in an all embracing sense, an affiliate program is any
form of revenue sharing designed so that an affiliates web
site inherits a percentage of income for producing traffic,
leads, or sales to a merchant web site. These programs can
be an outstanding means to generate money online and
monetize your website.

Affiliate programs have materialized into one of the most
comprehensively used business models on the internet.
Everyone appears to be signing up with one or several
affiliate programs with the anticipation of raking in
enough money to quit their 9 to 5 day job or make a
respectable secondary income.

The fundamental question for an entrepreneur seeking to
augment their online income as an affiliate marketer is
going to be, "How much money can I realistically make
online?"

The key component to make money online through affiliate
programs or other categories of publicizing is traffic,
which is merely the pure amount of visitors who land at
your website on a daily basis. It isn't necessary that
you're exceedingly technical to bring home the bacon but
affiliate marketing does govern that you squeeze out a
commitment to produce traffic and a tenacity to cultivate a
successful business.

Opportunity seekers nowadays perhaps sense that it's real
tough to accept that money can indeed be made through
online mediums. This is creditable to the apparent lack of
plausibility that internet enterprises have always endured
due to the fraudulent maneuvers utilized by those who came
before them.

Affiliate programs are a legitimate way to make money with
your website without, in reality, selling anything.
Numerous programs have become notably popular these days
despite the fact that some "gurus" advocate that you not
join others programs but create your own. These valid
programs are performance based and you're paid for sending
customers or traffic to a website without having to make
your own product or program.

Several factors will predetermine the conversion ratio:
1. How targeted is the affiliate program's products in
relation to the visitor's pursuits
2. The price and value of the products/services being
marketed
3. The merchant's competency to track all sales.
4. The overall potency of the merchant's web site.

From the position of the goal site, affiliate programs work
for different reasons: They bring forth qualified leads
since the users who use links from other sites are the type
of prospects who will convert into customers. Of course,
that concept is based upon the referral site rendering
targeted content so visitors have a justification for
coming, and they've been pre-sold on what to expect.

Some individuals decline the multiple income streams that
can be harvested from the internet. Separate yourself from
the crowd; make your new online high income and travel the
world. You can just monitor your affiliate marketing sales
from a tropical beach.

Social Media Pitfalls: 5 Lessons Learned

Social Media Pitfalls: 5 Lessons Learned
Allow me to introduce my friend Jordan Kasteler also known
as Utah SEO Pro. His background is in organic search engine
optimization, which has been doing professionally for 4
years now, and has stayed pretty focused on that and has't
delved much into paid search at all. But as of late, he
told me he has been playing a lot lately in social media
and there are quite a few things he has learned. He also
told me that there were quite a few things historically
done he wishes he could erase. He doesn't want to look
like an idiot, especially to the SMOs, but what he wants to
do is save a few headaches for people getting into social
media. Today I am going to take what Jordan has taught me
and I'm going to focus primarily on Digg because, it seems
to be the most complex social media site out there due to
its sophisticated algorithm. I am going to write his exact
words, of course with his permission. So everything below
will be straight from Jordan, which is some great insights
on Social Marketing.

Mistake #1: Abusing self-promotion

For the past year and a half to two years I've had social
media accounts but I never used them. If I did ever use
them it was just to submit some of my own blog posts or my
company's blog posts too.

Let me note that self-promotion isn't bad all the time. If
you've established an authoritative status in a community
or are a power-user then you are more likely to get away
with it if you do so sparingly. Nobody likes a
self-promoter or person who is greedy. It is essential to
contribute to other people and help them promote their
stories. Karma comes full-circle when it comes to social
networking.

Mistake #2: Not understanding the scope of the site or the
community in its entirety

I've heard a lot of social media experts suggesting to take
a look at the site and community before you register to
understand what it's about. That advice is half the battle
but before you can really understand what it's about you
have to observe, participate, and test significantly. My
mistake was not knowing that the one community perceives
things differently than other communities.

For example, Digg.com hates SEOs. I learned this by my low
response on SEO articles submitted. Good thing I was
currently operating under the name "jordankasteler" instead
of "UtahSEOpro". This could have been bad had I started
participating with the name "UtahSEOpro" and then realized,
after much wasted time and effort, that none of my stuff
will ever get promoted because nobody likes me.

Another example happened lately on Mixx.com. I submitted
one of my own articles to a group on Mixx that had a rule
strictly against self-promotion. Needless to say that
didn't go over well.

Moral of the story here is know the community, know the
rules, know that goes hot and what doesn't, know who's hot
and who's not and imitate them.

Another tip is to seek out niche communities that aren't as
big as say Reddit, Digg, Delicious, or StumbleUpon. There
are niche sites like sphinn.com for Internet marketers,
Sk-rt.com for woman, and Hugg.com for nature lovers.
Relevant content in niche communities can drive more
traffic and links than broader communities sometimes.

Mistake #3: Not having goals When I very first started
using Digg used it almost as a bookmarking service. At the
time, I probably didn't even know the difference between
Digg and Delicious. When I found a site I liked, I
submitted it to Digg not considering or caring if the
community would like it or not or if it was news worthy.
What a horrible waste, I now have 70+ submissions and only
a small percentage of them are actual quality content that
I've submitted with intentions of promoting news worthy or
remarkable article, video, or image.

Start by creating goals for every piece you submit. Your
goals should be to promote everything you submit and do so
with pride. If you submit low-quality content then you're a
low-quality contributor and the community will recognize it
quickly. Don't just submit and forget. Use a tool like Digg
Alerter to watch your submitted content. If someone
comments on a post then respond back to them whether the
comment was positive or negative. The key here is to engage
with the community and try to start a conversation.
Comments are a good quality indicator of a post so this is
an important part detail. If you don't have a good response
for the comment at least vote it up or down depending on
the quality of the comment.

Mistake #4: Choosing quantity over quality when it comes to
friends

Initial thinking of a newbie would be the more friends the
better, right? WRONG! I'm not sure if this is recent with
Digg's new algorithm change or what but what I've found out
is that the more friend you have the higher the threshold
is for a story to go popular. My mistake was adding too
many friends and not monitoring if they were voting for my
content or not. After decreasing my friend count on Digg
from nearly 500 friends to about 65 friends I've seen the
threshold drop dramatically. For most social media sites
you want to keep your friends very relevant to your
interests and make sure that they are active users. Having
non-active users, people who don't appreciate your
submissions, and people who don't help you promote your
submitted content is useless. I'll go back to Karma here,
if you're not being active and helping others yourself then
don't expect your friends to do the same.

A wise thing is to constantly monitor your friend activity
and trim down friends who aren't beneficial to your success
or not. This isn't to hurt anyone's feelings but if they
aren't going to play they need to get off the field.

Mistake #5: Not using RSS

I hate RSS when it comes to reading my news so I've stayed
clear from it but I discovered that RSS is my best friend
for social media. There are a couple reasons why. The first
reason is if you're contributing a lot of content,
especially news worthy items, then timing is everything.
It's wise to subscribe to news sites like CNN.com or
NYTimes.com so you can catch hot stories as soon as they
are posted.

The second reason is that you can subscribe to what your
friends are posting so you can help them promote their
content without having to go to each profile and check up
on them daily. It's a huge timesaver and an easy way to
keep tabs on your friend's activity.

*BONUS Mistake* Not considering submission timing

There are certain times in each community where there are
more eyes on the site or certain categories than others.
Knowing those times and submitting during them is
important. Generally, most people surf social sites in the
morning or around lunch time during their break at work.
It's a good time to submit around then to capture people's
attention. It can make the different of whether your story
goes popular or not.

If you're up at 3:00 a.m. and you see a hot story pop up on
your RSS reader from CNN then it's probably not wise to
save that until lunch-time the next day to submit because
then you run the risk of someone else submitting it first.
So be wise and use common sense.

Summary

Hopefully learning from my mistakes will help you avoid
them in the future. I like to teach people the correct way
of doing things based on my experience and hopefully you
can take what you've learned and do the same.

things then you will be well on your way to making your
business a success.

One: The affiliate program that you will be using needs to
be chosen very carefully. You want to make sure that you
take your time in finding the program that you want to use.
Make sure that the money you will earn will be worth the
effort you put into it. If you find a program that pays
anywhere from 40% or higher then you have a very good
chance of making more money with them.

Two: Choose one or two affiliate marketing programs to
promote. Don't do a whole bunch at one time because if you
do then you will have a hard time making any money at all.
You want to choose only a few to start with so that you can
spend your time concentrating on only those programs. When
you use less programs you will be able to advertise them
more. Advertising is very important for any business
because if you don't advertise then people can't find your
program and you won't make any money. So it is better to
concentrate and advertise a few programs at a time.

Three: You have to be patient and work hard if you are
going to make money with affiliate marketing. You won't be
able to get rich overnight. It will take time for your
business to start making money. The more time and effort
you put into advertising your business the more success you
will have. Don't give up no matter what obstacles you come
up against. Just remember that anyone can be a success with
a home business if they are willing to be patient and put
in the time it takes to make it a success.

These are not the only ways that you can make money with
affiliate marketing. However, they are the top 3 ways to
earn more money with affiliate marketing. You need to make
sure that you do these three things if you want to have
success with your home business because if you don't do
them then you will have a hard struggle to make your
business a success.

How To Adapt Internet Marketing Plans to a Changing Ecommerce Advertising Climate

How To Adapt Internet Marketing Plans to a Changing Ecommerce Advertising Climate
With 20 years marketing to consumers, I have literally
worked with thousands of products, been associated to
successful brands and to those not so successful. I have
made online, offline, and over the line mistakes, but in
this article I will keep you from making as many of them.
If you get paid to market or advertise for others, you
can't afford not to read this.

Thousands of people get this wrong. They apply advertising
systems that have been in place for decades, to e commerce
advertising and Internet marketing, regardless of what they
know is right for today or what will provide the end result
of e commerce. We all know that the Internet is changing,
always changing, and the search engines and consumers
depend on that. They want things to change. Why do
Internet marketers depend on the same concepts to entice
consumers to websites? They build brands and website
traffic through keyword listings, banner advertising, email
marketing, and paid advertising on Google Adwords, or Yahoo.

Listen to this closely. Reflect on a few questions. What
are the main ingredients that make you successful, not only
in the online marketing industry, but in life? Are they
intelligence, devotion, passion, and maybe for
you...beauty? Those always help. Do you believe that if
you are a true marketer, your best assets are your heart,
your gut, and your ears? For the success of the
Internet advertising & marketing business, or anything that
depends on consumer behavior, advertisers and marketers
must begin to listen to consumers. That is the first step.
It sounds simple and it should be an easy concept to
grasp, especially for a marketing professional. Time and
time again, top marketers, advertisers, and e commerce
professionals make the mistake of ignoring the consumer.
That has been happening since the Internet's infancy.
Remember the late nineties, when Yahoo purchased
Broadcast.com, then promptly made many our friends and
marketing associates enough money to buy anything they had
ever dreamed of, during their short 20-something lives?.
It seemed that we were all successful, but we we did one
thing wrong. What was the mistake? We did not listen to
our consumers. We did not hear them. We followed
advertising systems and practices that have been in place
for decades.

Next, we must begin to take what the consumer is sharing
with us and apply the information to business applications,
which further influence the consumer. This second step can
be applied to e commerce, Internet Advertising and general
marketing practices. Follow your gut on this one. Track
your success and apply what is trending success.

The third step is simple, but the place where most online
marketers fall short; work hard and have passion for what
you are doing. Follow your heart . This is the basis for
a wealth of information. It will radically change your
approach to online marketing. Listen to your heart, go with
your gut, and always listen to others, especially the
consumer. You will gain so much from it.

Adding Audio/Video To Your Website

Adding Audio/Video To Your Website
Adding audio or video to your website is a definite plus
these days. Increasing your chances of extra revenue
generation. Streaming audio/video generally serves two
purposes. One being entertainment value, and the other,
more practical and useful in our case, is the generation of
income by using the technology to demonstrate and promote
your products.

Until fairly recently, professional website designers were
wary of adding multi-media streams to a website. But now
the spread of high speed broadband internet connections has
removed the barrier for the use of such additions. There is
still a lot to consider, so for the time being let us deal
with audio streams, and save the video for another article.

Audio files have differing formats, the most popular
currently being the MP3 and MIDI. What exactly is a MIDI
and an MP3, and what are the differences? I have described
a few sound file formats below, together with their various
attributes to help you decide which to use in your website.

MIDI is a music file type that utilises the built in
devices in your computer sound card, making the file size
pretty lightweight. However sound cards vary enormously, so
playing a MIDI file on two different computers with
different sound cards is likely to produce different
results. Another problem with MIDI files is that they can
sound rather like the ring tones of old cell phones. This
could give your website a distinctly amateurish feel. This
is to be avoided. You don't want to be labelled an amateur
when you are selling something. Of course the plus side is
that because of their small size, people on dial-up
connections will appreciate the load speed of your site.

MP3 is an audio file which is highly compressed, achieving
a smaller file size. People using DSL connections will
probably download a 5mb MP3 file in under a minute. Dial-up
connections will typically take 3 to 5 minutes to download
a single song of average playing time.

Because of its compressed nature, sounds from MP3 files are
not as good as from your CD player. Also you will need to
"loop" these files to get them to play continuously whilst,
for instance, people surf your site. Looping is not easy
with MP3's. A big drawback is that you require specific MP3
programs to play the files, and when someone enters a site
using these files your Real Player, or Windows Media
Player, might open automatically to play them, spoiling the
effect.

In terms of quality, the best sound file format is the WAV
file. Using this format will give you studio quality audio.
However the indisputable problem with these files is their
size. Even with fast broadband connection, a browser will
have a tough time loading a web page using WAV for its
audio stream.

When trying to incorporate audio streams into your website,
familiarity with flash files is an advantage. To make music
play continuously you will need to loop your file. WAV
files go through the looping process with no problems, but
MP3 and MIDI files will need to be associated with flash
files to achieve this.

All in all, you need to decide exactly what it is you wish
to achieve with your audio, and make your choice
accordingly. Don't be afraid to experiment to get the
result you are after. After all, as you can see, there are
several ways to add background sound to your web pages, and
you will undoubtedly be pleased that you did.

Creating a Comprehensive Opt-In List Made Easy

Creating a Comprehensive Opt-In List Made Easy
Emails are commonly used to distribute newsletters,
promotional mails, and all kinds of other material. To take
advantage of this marketing strategy, you'll first need to
build an opt-in list. A good opt-in list should include
the profile of the email address owner. Here are some tips
on how to create a comprehensive opt-in list for a target
market.

1. Create a website. If you have a website, you can invite
visitors to register with your website or sign your
guestbook before leaving. The days of having to know code
in order to create a website are over. Some website
creator programs just require you to cut and paste, like
that of WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) software.
Many hosting sites offer free simple to use website
building software.

2. Set up a promotion or freebie. Try to give your visitor
something of value in exchange for their email address,
name and other limited personal information. Use Limited
Time Only offers as an immediate call to action. You want
to grab their attention and get them to act. Make the
visitor aware that by requesting the promotion or freebie
they're also agreeing to receive future emails from you.

3. Set up an easy opt-out option. You can alleviate
people's hesitations by letting them know it's just as easy
to opt-out as it is opting in. It creates a feeling of
control and works on the same premise as a refund policy.
Not satisfied, opt-out.

4. Write and write some more. Submit articles, write a
press release, post in forums, start blogging, and visit
social networking communities for starters. Signature
files are a great way to advertise and writing quality
content helps establish credibility. People are constantly
looking for information on the web and when they obtain
whatever they were searching for (answer, idea, knowledge)
they will often follow links and/or research the author to
get further information.

5. Be creative. Partner with a company that has a business
similar to your own. Promote offline with a raffle or
something and place an email address opt-in as part of the
entry form.

Creating a targeted opt-in list can take time, money and
effort. People who choose to opt-in are usually in the
market for what you are offering and thus, sales prospects.
Obtaining a targeted opt-in list can dramatically boost
your sales, so these tools are certainly essential.

Financial Freedom Advice You Need To Know About Now

Financial Freedom Advice You Need To Know About Now
Financial freedom is something that every person in the
world dreams of achieving. Anyone can become financially
free if you follow some simple advice that will help you
achieve that goal.

The first financial freedom advice that you need to be
aware of is that in this day and age you can't rely on your
job to make you financially free once you retire. With most
jobs these days, once you retire you only get a very small
amount to live the rest of your life on. So if you are
going to have the freedom financially that you want then
you need to take matters into your own hands.

Do not rely on your job to give you the kind of money that
you need or want because you will be sorely disappointed
when you don't get it. The best way for you to achieve
financial freedom is to start making money from home.

You do not even have to quit your job to do this. You can
work your job and use the money that you make from home to
start saving. That way you will have a lot more money when
you do need it.

You may also want to take some of your money and start
investing it. Find someone who has knowledge about
investing. They can help you figure out what you want to
invest in and what you want to stay away from.

You do not want to try and invest your money yourself
unless you know what you are doing because if you don't
know how to do it right you can end up losing all of your
money instead of watching it grow.

Another thing you want to do is to find someone that has
achieved financial freedom and find out what they did. If
you are willing to look then you will definitely be able to
find someone who will teach you what you need to know about
gaining the freedom financially that you want.

You also want to look on the internet for successful people
who will give you free financial freedom advice.

There are many other things that you need to know if you
are going to gain financial freedom. However, these three
things are the most important ones for you to know about.
There are all kinds of financial freedom advice that you
can find and learn from if you just take the time to look
online and offline.

Cash Gifting: How To Attract Prospects Like Bees Online

Cash Gifting: How To Attract Prospects Like Bees Online
The internet is an area where it is populated by a whole
lot of internet marketing business. Others strategies can
backfire and can prove to be a drawback. But, there are a
lot of things you can do to make your online internet
marketing business of one's cash gifting program up and
running.

One of the main concerns of every internet marketer out
there is the issue of drawing in a continuous flow of
website traffic to one's cash gifting program site. The
more people coming in to the site, the higher the ratio of
people signing in the program.

For instance, let us say you were able to attract in 1,000
targeted visitors to the site every week. If the sales
conversion percentage is just 1%, then you are still
assured of getting ten new sign-ups within that single week!

So it is crucial for every network marketer online to
increase the amount of traffic to the business website. And
yet, bringing in the much targeted traffic can be very
difficult for many people.

One strategy of attracting visitors is building
pay-per-click advertising within your regimen.
Pay-per-click advertising is a fast way to get going and
begin generating money without exerting a great deal of
time and energy. Another method is to include in your
internet marketing strategy is search engine optimization.
SEO is very useful in climbing to the top of the search
engines and hence generating a much larger amount of
traffic. The ultimate goal is to be on the top of page one
in famous search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
This would include becoming a member of several traffic
exchanges as they would help bring in traffic. Quite
popular online video medium now is Youtube. You can also
make use of the popularity of this site by submitting
nicely created videos.

However, many believed that the most effective way to build
massive traffic to one's cash gifting program is to write
articles that make sense to your target market and then
allocate them to them. Content is the most important piece
to your marketing strategy as it establishes credibility
and expertise. By creating articles and submitting them to
various online directories you are giving yourself free
advertising while in the meantime showing off your
expertise. Quality content and articles can really make or
break your site. For instance, on a given day, you write an
article and post it to at various article submission sites.
Then you also post these articles in different discussion
forums. Then, you also post the articles in your blog.
After that, you also add them to your autoresponder series.
Given this strategy, a single article has a huge potential
to draw in tens and hundreds of new recruits to your
downline.

Top 11 Information Marketing Business Mistakes to Avoid

Top 11 Information Marketing Business Mistakes to Avoid
If you've tried your hand at building an Internet-based
business but haven't yet reached the success you want, find
out these 11 deadly mistakes and how to avoid them.

Mistake #1 - Not Treating What You Do as a Business.

The difference between a hobby and a business is that a
hobby doesn't make you money - it costs you money.

If you're serious about starting a building a profitable
online business approach seriously and focus on generating
revenue.

Treat your online business as if you would any regular
business.

Mistake #2 - Being Distracted by Too Many Good Ideas.

You can light up a room with a light bulb, but you can cut
through steel with a laser beam. The same is true with your
effort and ideas.

Too many Internet-Entrepreneur-Wanna-Bes lack the will
power to stay focused. Chasing too many ideas at the same
time often leaves them exhausted, frustrated, and with
little results to show for their hard work.

The key to success is to select one business idea and to
develop it completely before moving on to another project.

Mistake #3 - Not Selecting a Specific Niche.

Perhaps the biggest mistake of all is trying to be
everything to everyone. You can't - so stop!

It's very counter-intuitive to focus on a smaller slice of
the market and most people are afraid to do it. But when
you do, your business will grow faster, and you'll more
financially successful in less time.

Mistake #4 - Falling in Love With the Wrong Product Idea.

Even the most experienced entrepreneurs fall into this trap
from time to time and develop products without doing any
research. Before you devote any serious amount of time and
effort to developing your new ideas make sure there is a
demand for the type of product, information, or service you
want to launch.

If you need help with selecting an ideal niche market for
your business and finding out which products you should
develop first, take a look at this fast track training
program.

Mistake #5 - Falling for the "Get Rich Quick" Scheme!

Remember the old adage "if something is too good to be
true..."? It's alive and well on the Internet.

Countless people buy into the idea of making millions
online overnight. Sadly, they buy into programs hyped up
with empty promises only to find themselves "out of cash
and out of luck" a short while later.

Be aware of spammers, illegal money-winning scams, and
buying "ready to go businesses" that are "hot but will sell
for cheap"!

Before you fork over your money investigate if those hot
businesses have ever made a dime for their current owner.

Doing your homework will save you valuable time, money and
many sleepless nights!

Mistake #6 - Going Into It, Instead of Growing Into It.

While the Internet makes it easier to reach your potential
clients, you're still building a business - and that takes
time. Don't tell your boss you're quitting today because
you started this hot new online business last night and
you'll be "rolling in dough in no time flat!"

First make sure your business idea works and is profitable.

That's one of the advantages of Internet Business - you can
start small and step-it-up as your business starts getting
sales and generating profits.

Just be sure you can consistently replace your current
income before jumping ship and telling your boss to "beat
it"!

Mistake #7 - Being a Copy-Cat!

Quickly - what is the most popular business on the
Internet? You guessed it - it's how to make money on the
online!

It seems that everyone who has bought a course on making
money online is credible enough to teach this subject a
week or two later!

Don't fall for the allure of easy money - because it's only
a perception. In reality your chances of having a
successful online business are much greater when you are
different from the pack.

Mistake #8 - Wasting Time and Money on Developing Pretty
but Useless Websites.

A bad idea is a bad idea - no matter how pretty you dress
it up. Many people waste precious startup dollars on
expensive but needless graphic design work, pretty logos,
and complex web design.

In reality, many businesses can be simple and inexpensive
to get off the ground. In fact, a simple site with little
or no graphics will often make more money than one with all
the latest bells and whistles flashing all over the page.

Think what is the core concept of your business. Outline it
on a single sheet of paper, then implement it fast in it's
simplest form. You can always give it a makeover and make
it prettier if it's successful and profitable.

Mistake #9 - Not Building Relationship with Clients.

"Even though you don't know me from Adam, I want you to
take out your wallet and give me $20 - in exchange I'll
make you the King of the Universe!" What!? You don't want
to give me your $20? What a surprise!

Most people think about starting a business online in terms
of getting a quick sale - with no prior relationship with
their potential clients at all.

In reality, you'll be more successful when you make your
first goal to collect contact information from potential
clients and follow up with them on regular basis.

It's much easier to "sell something for FREE" than trying
to convince people to give you money at first.

Make it your goal to prove your credibility online and make
your business all about relationships with prospects and
clients you'll build a thriving online empire.

Mistake #10 - Calling It "QUITS" Too Soon!

If your new online venture isn't making money at first
don't walk away from it too soon. Many entrepreneurs have
multiple "failures" in their background - which in reality
are lessons in what didn't work.

Evaluate your ideas and get help with gaining a new
perspective on what you're doing. With some new ideas you
might find a new way to position your business differently
and make it profitable.

Or maybe you simply need to give it more time to gain the
traction and momentum you want.

Mistake #11 - Being too cheap!

While it's a good habit to be thrifty with your dollars,
don't confuse saving money with being cheap. Remember the
price you're paying for things isn't always expressed in
money. It's also the time, effort, and lost opportunities
you can't take advantage off because you lack the know-how
or are busy doing low-level tasks.

Smart online entrepreneurs continually invest in their
Education. They buy marketing training programs,
time-saving software tools, and systems that allow them to
grow businesses faster with less effort.

The best news is getting good basic training in how to
start your own information marketing business doesn't have
to be expensive.

One Way to Avoid the Hype and Hogwash of Internet Marketing

One Way to Avoid the Hype and Hogwash of Internet Marketing
"Get 40 Billion subscribers to your ezine just sign up
below", "Post to 50 million web sites with one click of
your mouse" or "Make 10 Trillion dollars straight to your
mailbox by sending this e-mail on to ten of your friends".
OK, I may be over-exaggerating somewhat, but you get my
point.

How many times have we all read this type of hogwash and
thought 'OH YES' this is the one I've been looking for and
subsequently went on to sign up free, or worse still,
forked out $50 for the product and then felt cheated a
immediately after buying.

Yes me too...

Is this the fault of the person trying to sell their
product? No, not at all. Is the person who wrote the ad
copy responsible? Of course not.

I know you are not going to like what I have to say and may
even dismiss it as completely absurd but it is YOUR
responsibility and MINES for falling for this hype time and
time again. Believe me I have fallen on quite a few
occasions:-)

We want to believe what the product owner is telling us at
their web site or in their latest e-mail campaign. You
know, the one where we think he/she is emailing us
personally when really it has been sent to a list of
thousands.

The lazy part in us that wants overnight success, wants to
believe that we won't have to put in any work and that
success will just fall into our laps.

It is time to wake up. Success DOES NOT come overnight and
you are more than likely going to take a few falls and a
few hard knocks before you make it online, offline, or in
life for that matter.

What the web site should really say is:

"If you sign up for my program below, put in around 4-5
years of hard work, make lots of contacts with people who
have been there and done it before you, keep plodding on
through the rough times and most importantly never give up
then you should be able to find a certain level of success
in online marketing and make a significant income to
sustain yourself and your family and retire financially
free.

Chances are though, you won't make it because you will
become disillusioned when this doesn't work for you
overnight as I have outlined, you will succumb to the same
crap at a few other sites and you will give up before you
even get off the ground."

This may sound harsh but it is the sad reality of the
online marketing world today. If we keep on believing the
hype then people, being people, will continue telling us
what we WANT to hear.

That's what skillful copywriters do. They appeal to your
emotions and the more emotionally unstable you are the more
likely you will buy.

But there is hope...

It resides in that part of yourself that is determined to
succeed no matter what the odds and in spite of what
obstacles are placed in your way.

In my humble opinion the vast majority of marketing
products and online services out there are well worth the
money.

Consider the cash you put forward as an investment.

Even if you don't get 100% what you expect from the sale
there is ALWAYS potential rewards even in what appears to
be a negative situation.

I haven't made a purchase yet that didn't show at least
some potential. Your personal approach to what you have
before you makes all the difference.

When faced with a hard sell try to see through the hype to
what the product/program ACTUALLY offers. Ask yourself "Is
this $30, $50 price tag going to propel my business forward
in any way? Does it have the potential to bring me an
acceptable increase in my subscription levels? Can it bring
me enough sales to put me in profit? Can I get enough from
this free sign up to warrant even filling in the
subscription form?

When you have bought your package, or joined your affiliate
or marketing program make sure you read everything
thoroughly. Take what you have and make it work. Give it at
least a few weeks of constant effort. If you are making
headway then run with it and don't stop until you get to
the bank.

Most programs/services WILL give you the required tools, it
is up to you whether you decide to take full advantage of
them.

You can read every E-Book, home business report or
marketing article that the web has to offer but until you
actually put the ideas into practice it remains just ink on
paper, and ink on paper doesn't sell products, you do,
through your positive actions.

So get out there, make some contacts, make some mistakes,
learn the business, take some risks and grow as you go.

Most importantly of all never, ever give up until you
achieve what it is you have set out to accomplish. At the
end of the day it it absolutely down to you!

I hope I haven't scared you off too much. My intention is
to wake you up, not prolong your nightmare.

Why Having Help Is Important When Starting An Internet Business

Why Having Help Is Important When Starting An Internet Business
Why having help is important when you start an internet
business is something that every home business owner needs
to know. There are a couple of different reasons why it is
important.

When you have a home business you need to have help with it
because if you don't then you will either struggle to make
your business a success or you will never make it a
success. Lots of people try and do their internet business
on their own but they quickly learn why having help is
important when starting an internet business.

Here are some of the reasons why you need help.

When starting an internet business you will have a lot that
you need to learn. You will have to know how to get around
on the internet, how to advertise your home business and
many other things that will help you make your business a
success. The best way to learn what you need to know is to
find other business owners and find out what they did to
make their business a success.

Education is the key to any internet business success. You
can educate yourself but it will take you a long time to
learn what you need to know. The best way to educate
yourself is to find other successful business owners and
let them teach you what they did to make their home
business a success. You can find courses, ezines, blogs and
other things that will teach you what you need to know also.

Another reason why having help is important when starting
an internet business is because you will need support. Many
people think that having a home business means you have to
do it all yourself. This is so not true.

When you start your home business and you are trying to
learn what you need to know you will find many times that
you become discouraged. Some people even want to quit
altogether. So if you have someone who is helping you then
you can have them help you with support also. The more
support you have the better off you are.

These are not the only reasons why having help is important
when starting an internet business but they are the most
important ones. You don't want to try and make your home
business a success on your own for the simple reason that
you don't have to. There is always help available if you
are willing to look for it and accept help when it is
offered to you.

Direct Mail Secrets for Insane Email List Profits

Direct Mail Secrets for Insane Email List Profits
Backend marketing to your list can be extremely powerful
when firing on all cylinders. You need to make the best,
highest quality offers you can. And the best way to 'be
able' to achieve that is by optimizing your list marketing
for optimum conversions. Here's how you do that...

What you want to do is something called, list segmentation.
This is simply dividing your list into smaller groups
according to certain criteria. We'll get to that in a
moment. After segmenting your list, you'll be able to
specialize your product offers to each segment.

This is extremely powerful and done right... it'll
skyrocket your conversions and profits. Lets continue...

The principle behind segmenting is targeting your offers
based on customer needs, desires, and buying power. The end
result will be promoting offers to people who'll be more
likely to buy.

Quite simple and elegant!

You'll also achieve higher customer satisfaction. Why? If a
business does NO segmentation, then every single subscriber
receives the same message. Right?

I cannot count the number of times I've been annoyed with
receiving an email offer for something I've already
purchased! Ever happened to you? I bet it has. And it's
just plain crazy to market a higher priced offer to
subscribers who have NEVER bought anything!

So lets take a look at some ways you can segment your list
for higher conversions and increased profits.

One method used by direct response marketers considers 3
main areas.

1. How recent a customer has purchased from you.

2. How often the customer makes a purchase.

3. How much the customer spends.

Now, this subject of list segmentation is very wide and
exhaustive. So today we'll only hit some highlights. But
it'll give you a great start with your own list. You can
segment your list according to how long your subscribers
have been with you. There's some flexibility with this. So
you can try something like dividing into the 4 annual
quarterly periods.

Your newest subscribers can be golden when treated properly
because they're prime for being converted into paying
customers. They're fresh and looking forward to your ezine
or email course. You can make special offers to this group
as an introductory marketing campaign. The special offers
should be designed to be as attractive as possible.
Designed to entice, intrigue, and excite.

Once converted into paying customers, then you'll segment
them accordingly and move on.

Every list has a group that has never bought anything...
yet. But do NOT give up on them. They're still valuable
because you can do something that smart marketers always
do. TEST!

That's right. You can send them offers with different price
points, marketing messages, etc. Use your business and
marketing creativity! Try making them a very low-cost
offer. For example... many of you may have seen reports
selling for the magical $7 price point. Or...

You can be more direct with them and ask them if they're
happy with your ezine. Solicit some feedback from them. Ask
them if they want to remain on your list! Think of a good
way to engage them in some way. Why not? You just may
convert some into buying customers. Then move them into
their own special group.

Now lets talk about, frequency... How often has someone on
your list made a purchase. Look for those who have made
more than one purchase. Ideally, you have a good number of
them. Then you can divide them into specific number of
times they've bought. This is where it gets exciting! If
you have such a segment within your list, then you can
design special higher-priced offers to them. But make darn
sure these offers are high quality and the higher price is
fully justified.

The people in this segment have proven their loyalty. They
have shown that they like the products and service they've
been getting from you. So this group contains your very
best prospects for higher priced offers.

And your conversions for these special offers will reflect
the quality of customers in this group.

The third area concerns how much your customers spend with
you. So you'll segment your list according to price point.
And hopefully you'll already have had some bigger ticket
sales. If so, here's what you can do...

Look for your highest price point customers. Then create a
special group and these will be your premium subscribers.
You have a lot of flexibility with this group because you
can design excellent offers exclusively for them. For
example...

You can create an exclusive... and pricey... membership
service for them. It's the best form of subscription-based
service for obvious reasons. If done smartly and creatively
you can really boost your profit levels with a group like
this!

So! Have you ever tried looking at your list in this
manner? If not, you're losing out big time! It's a very
simple way to dramatically increase your list marketing
conversions. There's always more to the story, though. But
get cracking on your list and see what happens!
