Blogging for Money

Blogging for Money
Blogging is a growing trend among worldwide internet users.
Blogs are a great way to attract attention to whatever you
are promoting. Whether you are just blogging about your
daily activities, providing information to a certain niche,
or promoting a business or product, you can use a blog to
make money. Blogging for money is simple, here's a few
steps to get you started.

Blogging for money step 1: Start your own blog. There are
many services you can use to start your own blog. The two
I recommend are Wordpress and Blogger. Both are free
services and the best way to utilize them is to host the
blogs directly from your own website.

Blogging for money step 2: Once you have your blog setup
you need to work on getting traffic to it. This step
should be thought of as the post and ping process. You
should post to your blog several times a week and then use
a pinging service to ping each individual post. (Wordpress
pings automatically every post.)

By posting and pinging on a regular basis, you will really
begin to see traffic pick up. Another way to get traffic
to your blog is to use social bookmarking. There are
hundreds of different bookmark sites you can join and post
your blog and get tons of free traffic.

Blogging for money step 3: Once you are getting good
traffic to your blog, there are several ways to make money.
First, if you haven't already, you should sign up for a
Google Adsense account. These are ads you can place
directly on your blog and get paid for every time someone
clicks on their ads.

Another way to make money from your blog is to sign up with
affiliate programs and promote their banners on your blog.
When people sign up for their programs from your blog, you
will get paid a commission.

There are also different companies that will pay you for
leads that you provide them. This can be a very good form
of income because your blog visitors don't have to pay for
anything. A lead is simply a name and address and these
companies will pay anywhere from $1 to $30 for leads you
bring them.

As you can see, blogging for money is quite easy. Getting
the blog setup is the most difficult part. Once you are
over that step, making money is as simple as posting to
your blog. The more you post, the more traffic you will
get. The more traffic you get to your blog, the more money
you will make. Get started today!

What you MUST now about Text vs. HTML Emails !

What you MUST now about Text vs. HTML Emails !
HTML messages allow for text formatting, multiple columns,
images, and brand recognition.

They are growing in popularity and over 95% of customer
email programs today will support HTML email. Unfortunately
most spam is also formatted using HTML and thus
differentiating between requested email and HTML spam
messages can be difficult.

HTML emails are therefore more likely to trigger spam
filters. According to email deliverability expert Dori
Friend, you should NEVER use HTML email. Dori's advice is
supported by some studies.

A 2004 study by AWeber.com shows that plain text messages
are undeliverable 1.15% of the time and HTML only messages
were undeliverable 2.3% of the time.

But on the other hand we have seen tests were they changed
from html to plain text and the open rates dropted with
over 15%.

The whole Text vs. HTML email problem is still widely
debated in ecommerce circles and the best advice we can
give you is to test it out on your own.

Test and determine what works best for your customer base.
Your test results will always be your most reliable source
of information.

Here are some things to consider when making your decision:

· Over 95% of customer email clients are capable of
receiving HTML emails. The compatibility rate will continue
to increase. Few outdated email clients cannot display
HTML, but you can pretty much bet that the majority of your
customers will have newer versions of email clients.

· A surprisingly large portion of the population
still uses dial-up to connect to the internet. This creates
a longer load time for HTML emails.

· Spam filters are becoming increasingly
sophisticated and often block HTML emails since most spam
comes in that format. Work related and personal emails are
generally in text and do not have delivery problems.

· HTML file sizes are typically larger than text
emails and might therefore automatically get transferred to
a user's Bulk/Junk or Trash folders. Aim to create HTML
emails less than 24k in size.

Text has limited formatting features when compared to HTML,
but it does not necessarily mean it is less effective.
Whether you use Text or HTML, be sure to follow these
formatting rules.

Tips for Formatting Text Emails:

· Use a text editor such as Notepad or WordPad when
formatting your emails. Do NOT use Microsoft Word as it
embeds a lot of formatting bugs that make it difficult to
work with and results in errors on the recipients' ends.

· In text emails don't make the text bold,
italicized, colored, or centered. Instead you can use
CAPITAL letters for the words or phrases that need emphasis.

But don't go overboard; too much capitalization is
difficult to read, gives the impression of yelling, and
resembles spam. In fact many spam filters will deduct
points for every CAPITALIZATION.

· The width most email clients can properly display
is 65 characters (including spaces). Use a hard return
(i.e. press the "Enter" key) every 60 characters or so.
Remember that spaces count too. Exceeding 65 characters
runs the risk of your recipients seeing awkward line breaks
or cut off sentences.

· Create your text email first in Courier font and
then in Arial. These are the most commonly used display
fonts by email clients. Adjust line breaks and "white
space" (i.e. the space between paragraphs). Your message
will not look the same in both fonts, so do not stress over
it. Concentrate on perfecting the format in Courier.

Tips for Formatting HTML Emails:

· Use an HTML editor like Dreamweaver and take
advantage of all the easy to use formatting options. Here
you can play around with the text alignment, font size,
colors and more, and you don't even need to know HTML!

· Just as with text emails, HTML emails should not
exceed a specified width. Wrap your message in a table no
wider than 420 pixels. Your message may get cut off or not
print properly if your table width is too large.

· Try to avoid using images. People with slow
connections will have a hard time downloading them and
those viewing your message offline will not see them at
all, which could appear unprofessional on your part.

· Some email clients like Gmail initially don't show
images, so make sure your messages are readable with or
without images. We understand that images can be an
essential component of your message, and if that's the
case, then be sure to compress your image files properly.

· Use your formatting options tastefully. HTML
allows you to make text bold, italicized, and underlined.
You can use color and embed hyperlinks rather than use long
URLs. You have a lot more ways to make your message
visually appealing, however you want to be careful not to
go too far.

We've offered you some tips and suggestions for creating
both Text and HTML emails. Run regular tests to see which
format produces better results; it's possible that your
readers may change their mind from one email to the next
and that's OK.

If you know how to effectively format each type you can
cater to any audience.

The 5 Most Important Keys To Unlock Your Work At Home Internet Success

The 5 Most Important Keys To Unlock Your Work At Home Internet Success
Who has not thought about the attractions of not only a
work at home job but working for yourself? You are in
charge, responsible for the destination in which you wish
to travel, responsible for the ultimate success of your
work at home internet business.

But what are the keys that you require to unlock your work
at home business goldmine? There are lots of distractions
involved, obstacles to overcome, not to mention beating the
competition in your given niche market. There are five
keys you must ultimately possess if you want to achieve the
success and independence that you crave to change your life
for the better by owning and controlling a successful work
at home internet business.

The first key to work at home internet success is the
willingness to learn and be trained. To have an open mind
and ready to soak up practical knowledge. Treading through
unfamiliar territory can be unnerving if you are not
properly equipped, and chances are you will end up lost,
having spent time and money without any progress. Learning
the tricks of the trade is also an important aspect of the
game, and your willingness to know as much as possible will
give you far better advantages in your work at home
internet business than you could ever imagine.

The second key to work at home internet success is the
willingness to invest effort and your time. This is
essential even if direct results do not seem at all
apparent. Although several months may pass without good
news, it is important for you not to loose heart and give
up. Your first success may just be about to happen. It is
this quality which will save you from giving up after
investing a lot of time in the business. You may not think
that you have achieved much in any given day or even over
one week, but it is often the less interesting work that
lays the foundations for future success for your work at
home internet business.

The third key to work at home internet success you must
possess is self-determination. If you want to achieve
success with your work at home internet business, you must
have the ability to push yourself ahead. Having a never
say die attitude is a quality each and every work at home
interent business owner should possess, and the ability to
motivate yourself into scaling greater heights is essential
to this.

The fourth key to work at home internet success you must
possess is discipline. If you know how to teach yourself
to work everyday with all the energy and concentration you
can muster, then you are close to achieving what you have
set your heart on having in the first place.

The fifth key to work at home internet success you must
possess is optimism. Negative attitudes should not
discourage you from pursuing what you have to do in order
to make life better for yourself and your work at home
internet business. Take advice, even if it is critical as
you will benefit from it. Every so often, it is important
to look back to where you were a few months back, compare
it to where you are now and praise yourself for the
progress that you have made. Celebrate it and power on to
your next achievement.

As you can see, it is you who will be responsible for the
degree of success of your work at home internet business.
You have the capacity to do everything to be able to
realise your work at home ambitions. Start small, stay
practical, ask for help when needed and using the five keys
to a work at home interent business success you will be
already over half way to achieving the very reason that you
started it in the first place.

Seven Unique Advantages of an Information Marketing Business

Seven Unique Advantages of an Information Marketing Business
Have you always wanted to start your own business since the
days of your childhood lemonade stand? Not sure what
business to focus on especially in today's market? Did you
know that the Information Marketing Business has seven
unique advantages over any other proven business models?

Unique Advantage 1: There is a low barrier to entry. You
can start with very little money.

When I was in the restaurant business, each store cost us
about $150,000 to $200,000 in equipment and tenant
improvements for the location. It was a lot of money just
to get in, and none of it was guaranteed to succeed. We
never knew whether the location would be a winner and we'd
be able to break even or recoup our money. We were only
hoping we would make a profit.

There is a very high barrier to entry for traditional,
brick-and-mortar businesses. With information marketing,
you can start profiting virtual within the next 24 hours.
You can turn the faucet on and profits start coming in. It
won't be much at first, so don't quit your day job, but
it's possible to start generating revenue extremely fast.

Unique Advantage 2: Tremendous leverage.

You can replace a lot of manual, repetitive tasks that you
would traditionally have to do with things that can be
automated and delegated in this business. This is unlike
the restaurant business where working with customers and
answering their questions is done every day. In the
information marketing business, this can be totally
automated.

And the best part is as your business matures and becomes
more sophisticated the easier it will be to handle most of
the things automatically.

Unique Advantage 3: Low amount of customer interaction. You
don't have to spend much time responding to clients.

In group and product programs, you can create an extremely
successful and profitable business and impact a lot of
people. This is the key. Many of you have a passion for
what you do. You want to change the world and help a lot of
people. You can help a lot more individuals when you are
not bogged down solving the problems of one specific,
problematic customer who demands a lot of your time. You
can never satisfy them.

With an information marketing business, you can minimize or
eliminate customer interaction. Only your best customers
will be getting access to you. Another benefit is that your
income doesn't stop when you stop working with clients.
This is a big issue for many professional consultants,
coaches, speakers and therapists.

Unique Advantage 4: You don't need a staff.

This is one of those misconceptions. I will tell you that
most successful information marketing businesses do have
employees. The more successful they get, the more employees
they have. Some have actual employees and others have
virtual assistants or independent professionals working
with them. They build large teams that allow them to grow
faster.

But you can start in your spare time with just one staff
member. You. And when you grow, and hopefully you will
grow fast, you can add additional people to your team. They
don't have to work with you in your office. They can work
remotely.

Unique Advantage 5: It can be done out of your home office.
You don't need to rent space.

When I first started my business, the most comfortable
place to work was my couch. I had my laptop on my legs, my
legs on an ottoman, and that's how I was typing my messages
and did the recordings for my first few products.

Picture me sitting on my couch in my living room just
enjoying my environment and creating something that, to
this day, generates revenue. I didn't have to get up and go
to work, drive in traffic, or deal with unruly coworkers or
rude and demanding bosses. It was all out of my home office.

To this day, I run my business out of my home office in
Irvine, California. My in-house team consists of myself, my
wife and my assistant and I have a team of virtual
assistants, audio technicians, and web designers.

Our business is very big and sophisticated, but we didn't
start this way. It started very, very small. My goal is to
show you exactly how to do it, assuming you don't know
anything, you have very limited resources and you don't
know technology. That's how I want to help you get started,
step-by-step.

Unique Advantage 6: Huge profit potential.

This happens for two reasons. First, information products
and programs have humungous markups. Something that costs
you $1 can be sold for $10, $20, $100, and in some cases
even $1,000. Your hard costs are very low and your profits
will be very high.

We used to call my restaurant a "penny" business. You have
to watch every single penny that's spent or wasted because
the profit margins are so slim. In information marketing,
you can afford to make big mistakes because you will still
make a profit. That's a huge advantage.

You don't have that luxury in any other business. The
service business definitely doesn't have it because you
employ other service professionals who may be delivering
some of the work to the clients. If a mistake is made, who
gets paid to fix it? None of this happens with information
marketing.

Unique Advantage 7: The information marketing business is
scalable.

Once you build the formula and platform, it allows you to
skyrocket the business. It's almost like revving the engine
of a car. It may take a while but once you get it going, it
will take off like a rocket.

Once everything is built and you know how to drive it, you
can rev it up, pedal to the metal, and the business will
skyrocket. Why? It's leveraged and not dependent on you.
It's dependent on duplicatable formulas, systems,
automation and delegation. This allows you to quickly rev
up your business and scale it.

How do you duplicate yourself? I know many of you often
think to yourself, "I wish there was another me. I wish I
could somehow clone myself." It's not that easy when you're
solo professional. Hiring another professional of your
caliber, education, personality, characteristics and skills
is virtually impossible. It's hard to team up with more
people.

Information marketing doesn't have the traditional barriers
most conventional startups have; instead it has amazing
potential for growth, profitability, and success. Here's
to your success!

Use Forums As A Method Of Traffic Generation

Use Forums As A Method Of Traffic Generation
Forum advertising is one of my least favorite, not because
of the response rate, but because it is just downright
boring to me. But I felt it was only fair to talk about it
here; you can choose to use it or not!

Basically, forums are online information exchanges where
many people who have an interest in a similar topic will
gather to talk online and ask questions.

One thing that is important is that you only use forums
that are pretty closely related to your topic. Here are
the steps involved in utilizing forums:

1) Find all the forums that pertain to your web site's
topic. Go to a search engine and type in your topic and
the word 'forum' with your keyword in the search bar.

2) Go to the first forum. If you have never used a forum
before, take a few minutes to get a feel for how it works.
Basically, members of the forum will share information and
answer questions for each other. There are usually
different areas of the forum set up for different specific
topics.

3) Become a member of the forum. In the process of
signing up, you should have the opportunity to create a
personalized signature. A signature is a line or block of
text that will appear at the end of every post you make.
Include your web site address (preferably your squeeze page
address) in your forum.

4) Go the introductions section and introduce yourself.

5) Begin to read through the various forums and begin
posting. You can either answer questions people have asked
to which you have useful information, or you can offer new
information. The key here is that every post you create
has a link to your site. When people read your posts, they
can click through to your site and join your mailing list.
One thing that is important here is that the forums are
looking for good quality information and posts, not blatant
advertising, in exchange for letting you post your link in
the signature area. Don't abuse this, or you will be
removed from the forum.

The key with generating traffic with forums is to spend
time everyday in all the forums you join. Just like all
other forms of traffic generation, this must be an ongoing
effort. You cannot simply spend five hours posting to
forums one day, and expect to get traffic for the next year.

Search Engine Optimization: It's Not Who You Know, It's Who Knows You

Search Engine Optimization: It's Not Who You Know, It's Who Knows You
Many small businesses start their websites and put a
"Links" page up as one of their first few pages—thinking
that this will help them rank better.

While it's a nice gesture to link to your vendors,
associates, resources, and products you like—and your
customers may even find this page helpful or
interesting—having a links page alone won't help your
website to rank better.

Instead, You Want Your Website to Be Like A Prom Queen

That's not to say you want your website to wear a sparkly
dress or a shiny tiara or make a sappy acceptance speech.

Instead, the way your website should resemble a prom queen
is more about the election process. Prom queen election
results aren't based on strategy, marketing,
qualifications, or campaign speeches—as much as they are on
popularity.

Just as with prom queens, your small business's website's
search engine ranking results are about popularity. It's
not the links on your site that contribute to raising your
ranking but the links coming into your site from other
sites that help you to rank better.

But getting links coming into my website is harder than
just putting links on my site!

That's the whole point. The search engines don't want to
make it easy for you to come up at the top. If that were
the case, they'd have a whole mess of under-qualified
websites at the top of the rankings, just because those
site owners had the time to add pages and pages of links to
their site.

The search engines want to make sure that only the best
sites, with the most relevant content, show at the top of
their listings. How they do that is by looking just at the
"hard stuff"—things like well-written content and good
coding—and then making sure that those sites have
good-quality links coming in from other sites.

What constitutes a good quality link?

If what you need is links coming into your site, then does
that mean you should find every directory site you can and
get your site listed? Or that you should use a website
link-building service that guarantees to get your link on a
bunch of sites for a low price?

Those strategies give you a lot of incoming links, but it's
not so much about quantity as it is about the quality of
those links. The search engines base your site's popularity
partially on the popularity of the other sites pointing to
it. Having the New York Times link to your site is a lot
more valuable than garnering attention from Bob's Shrimp
Shack.

So, how do you get these valuable links?

Link strategies that can help your website come up well
include:

Offering articles for publication on other websites. If you
require sites publishing your articles to link back to your
site, you'll wind up with many incoming links—which is
great. You may even find guest author opportunities on a
recurring basis, which can get several links back to your
site instead of just one. Putting out a press release. If
it leads to an article, then a newspaper or magazine will
probably put the article on its website. If the article
includes a link to your site, that will help your rankings.
Putting your link on your partner's sites. If you regularly
work with other businesses, they may be willing to exchange
links with you. This makes sense, and it gets a link back
to your site. However, I don't recommend you exchange links
with every company that comes your way—that will just make
your site look unfocused and unprofessional. Exchanging
only with companies directly related to yours will help
your customers and your ranking.

Taking advantage of link opportunities with professional
organizations. If you belong to a professional organization
such as the Chamber of Commerce or another organization
that offers an online membership directory, be sure to get
your link listed there. It's often a membership benefit
that can be overlooked. Commenting on blogs and listing
your website. If you have relevant, interesting comments,
posting them on other professional blogs and referencing
your business website can help raise your ranking. Starting
a blog and linking to your site from your posts. This may
sound a bit like cheating, but as long as you make sure
that your blog contains high-quality information as well as
links back to your site, it can pay off in a big way with
both search engines and visitors.

Even if you only take a few of these steps, you'll increase
the number of incoming links to your site and your site's
perceived popularity. And, this will increase your chances
of being elected "prom queen" and wearing the sparkly tiara
of a high ranking on the search engines.

Client Attraction: 6 Questions to Ask to Discover Your Brilliance

Client Attraction: 6 Questions to Ask to Discover Your Brilliance
Sometimes it pays to be a "Jill of all trades" when you're
a service business owner, but ultimately you probably
discover that there are some things you like to do for
clients better than others. Figuring out what you truly
love to do in your work with your clients is key to your
success -- and theirs. I call this process "discovering
your brilliance" -- discovering those gifts and talents you
bring to the table that really make your heart sing.
Determining your brilliance is a very effective client
attraction device and is instrumental in helping you fill
your practice.

Do you just absolutely love anything to do with online
marketing? Is it writing and editing articles that floats
your boat? Do you love to get home offices in shape? Is
designing one-page websites what really turns you on? Is
there no better tax forecasting bookkeeper in the world
than you? Is anything related to ebook graphic design
something that will really make your day? The key to
success in a service business is to lead with your gifts --
with your brilliance. My personal gift is marketing
strategy, although I never realized it until after I
started my business. In my former career in college student
housing, we referred to this as programming. Imagine my
surprise when I finally connected the dots and realized
what I had learned about marketing along the way! I know
this is my gift because when I'm involved in marketing
activities, time seems to disappear. Several weeks ago I
was so deeply engrossed in some marketing activity that I
completely forgot to call my virtual assistant for our
weekly appointment. She called me to make sure everything
was ok, as I don't typically forget to call her. I could
really relate to time flying when I was having fun!

Here are 6 questions you can ask yourself to get in touch
with your brilliance:

1. What is it that you do better than anyone else in the
world?

2. What's your purpose -- for what reason were you put in
this world?

3. What causes people to seek you out regularly?

4. For what do you want to become known as the "go-to"
person?

5. What kinds of things do your friends and colleagues
tell you that you excel at?

6. What activity engages you so fully that time seems to
slip away unnoticed? Pay attention to these moments, as
they're a great indicator about what you find easy,
effortless, and fun.

The answers to these questions will help you determine what
you enjoy and makes you unique. What naturally happens
when you discover your brilliance is that clients are
attracted to you for your skills in that area of
brilliance. Get in touch with your brilliance, and see how
that will make your practice prosper!

Top Home Businesses: Almost ready to Make a Choice

Top Home Businesses: Almost ready to Make a Choice
We've just taken a closer look at Affiliate Marketing as
the business opportunity of the future. If you're like the
rest of us ' you've probably never heard of this before
now, so don't feel alone, and if so, you will probably need
some help and guidance, from time to time.

Much will depend on your background, and whether you are
equipped with a battery of specialist skills covering all
areas of business! If you're one of those fortunate
people, you'll need very little help, indeed. You may also
have useful skills or knowledge in some areas of business,
but will need guidance in other areas.

You may be a complete newbie to the concepts and practices
of running an internet business from home, but as long as
you have a computer with access to the internet, and are
prepared to learn as you go along, you'll be fine!

Statistics show that a frightening number of people
starting out in their own businesses, fail within the first
year, and quietly fade away. There are many possible
reasons for this, and we'll alert you to the pitfalls
ahead, and help you to avoid becoming just another
statistic.

The first and most important item to make absolutely clear
in your mind, as we've discussed in an earlier article is:
" Why am I doing this, and what do I want to achieve?"

Please be sure about this, because you must want to succeed
as a top personal goal. Your chances of success are even
better if you need to succeed! If you're starting out with
the idea that you'll give this a try, and if it doesn't
work out, it's not a problem, then you definitely won't
make it!

Starting your own business by selecting from the huge range
of top home businesses available, must be the most
important life-changing decision you've made in a long,
long time.

The second vital step is to consider time-frames. If you're
like the rest of us, and expect a steep learning curve in
some areas of the business, then you'll need to set
realistic goals for yourself about how quickly you want, or
are able to progress. The amount of time you have available
to spend working on your business, must be taken into
account in setting these goals.

A major advantage of running your own business is that of
setting your own pace. If your expectations are
unrealistic, you'll become frustrated and disappointed when
times are tough and when things don't work out as you'd
hoped. However, you must have the determination to work
through the problems, until resolution.

It's amazing how often it helps to acknowledge a
(temporary) problem, stop shuttling back and forth through
the same mistakes, and take a break. The solution is often
so simple the next morning, when your mind is fresh!

In our next article we'll consider how to select an
affiliate marketing programme that will provide you with

Discover Why Home Businesses Fail And What You Can Do To Avoid It!

Discover Why Home Businesses Fail And What You Can Do To Avoid It!
Enough time must be spent on getting a home business
started. Online marketing, whether done with free
advertising or paid, must be done consistently and
continuously.

Another mistake made by new business owners is spending too
much time on things that bring in very little money. The
key to a successful home business is to only focus on those
tasks that are lucrative. Avoid wasting time surfing the
internet for useless information when you could be writing
ads or articles for your home business.

Organization is another key to success. By keeping detailed
records and establishing specific tasks you should be able
to make your business a success. If you don't keep good
records then how will you know what tasks are productive
and if you are covering your costs?

Overworking can be just as bad as not working enough. It is
easy for a home business owner to get tired and when we are
tired it can affect the quality of our work and most
importantly the quality of any decision making. So make
sure to take a break! Help your home business avoid failure
by taking care of yourself.

There are many home business opportunities available. It
can be difficult finding a good one, but the majority of
them fail because of a lack of preparation or just plain
laziness.

Here are some more reasons why most home businesses fail:

1. Lack of time. Many people spend most of their time
working over 40 hours a week or more just to make money for
someone else. Why not give up a little TV time to build a
second income?

2. Not enough money for marketing. A marketing budget
should always be included in a home business plan, since
this is one of the key components to success. Many home
businesses can be started with little investment but it
will take a monthly advertising budget to get your business
growing.

3. No clear direction or business plan. Set goals. How many
times have you heard that? It really does help. Set short
team goals and focus on them with consistent daily action
to reach them. Keep your goals short so that you don't
forget about them.

4. Lack of training. Training should be focused on business
building, online marketing education and developing
specific skills needed in relation to your business.

5. Inferior products or services. One of the biggest
reasons that a business fails is because they do not offer
good products or services. You must like the products or
services that you are using to recommend them to others.

6. No mentor or help from your sponsor. Having someone to
help with building your business could save you valuable
time with marketing your business. This does not mean that
you should not learn how to market your business online.
There are many resources now available for proper business
training.

7. Stay away from free to join businesses. It will be hard
to build a business if there is no monetary commitment that
will encourage people to grow their business. If there is
no product or service involved then how will anyone make
any money?

What is the most common reason for failure? Fear of
rejection. The most successful home business owners are the
ones that get rejected the most! Fear of rejection is
usually caused by a lack of self confidence. If you want to
be successful in all aspects of your life then you must not
be afraid of rejection, remember that rejection equals
success!

By plugging into a proven training system offered through a
home based business company or by your sponsor, in time you
will gain the knowledge along with the confidence to help
overcome the many reasons why most home businesses fail.

Do you hesitate to send email to your subscribers and customers?

Do you hesitate to send email to your subscribers and customers?
If you're one of the people who worries that your customers
will think you're spamming if you send them email, no
matter HOW useful the information is, I urge you to
reconsider.

The truth is, when you do your email marketing right, not
only is it an excellent source of income for you, but your
subscribers and customers will actually appreciate hearing
from you!

Here are three tried and tested ideas for successful email
promotions:

Damaged or returned stock promotions - Offer damaged or
returned stock for 50% off! Everyone gets returns, it's a
part of doing business. And of course damaged stock is
unavoidable. Why not take advantage of email to clear out
your stock that's otherwise going to take up space, while
at the same time offering your customers deals that they're
sure to appreciate?

Limited time offer - By offering a great discount on your
products for a limited amount of time, people who receive
the email feel like it's urgent they respond, so there's
less chance they'll close the email to "think about it" and
never come back.

Limited quantity offer - Similar to the limited time offer,
the people who receive this email will also feel a sense of
urgency.

If you go with "limited time or quantity offer stick with
the offer. If you write in your email that a product is
availeble for a .... time, stick to it.

Sometimes you see that a product is availible till
midnight, 14 days later it's still availible till midnight.

And those are just a few to get you started. Use your
imagination, and I'm sure you'll come up with all kinds of
things to send your list that they'll really ENJOY having.
And if you find an email promotion that really works for
you.

Do you panic at the thought of writing your own promotional
email?

Here's something you should know: writing an email is 95%
rules, and only 5% creativity. So as long as you stick to
the rules, you'll write an email that's suitable for
sending to your customers every time!

Hypnotize the reader with compelling benefits - The most
effective email promotions grab readers' attention with
compelling benefits that speak directly to the readers'
deepest desires and greatest fears.Benefits build the value
you need to drive people to act when presented with your
call to action.

Write your email like you were talking to a friend. Be
informal, use contractions, and don't be afraid to start a
sentence with "and" or "but."To transfer ownership, you
want to make sure your reader can actually picture
themselves using your product

Use automation to create personalized offers - Nothing is
more appealing to people than the 'sound' of their own
names, and nothing grabs someone's attention faster than
something that affects them directly!

We don't recommend you try to get yours subscriber to
purchase directly from your email. Instead, you should ask
them to "click here now to learn more," or something
similar.

How it LOOKS makes a big impact on readers, too. Here is
how to format your email.

Width - Be sure to format your email message in a table
that is not over 60/65 caracters wide. If you exceed that,
your message may be cut off on the right side of the screen
-- or at the very least, not print properly

Images - Try to avoid using graphics whenever possible.
People with slow connections will have trouble downloading
them, and people reading your message offline won't see
them at all.

Bolding - Use bolding just to emphasize the biggest and
best benefits in the offer. You should be able to scan the
message and instantly understand the biggest benefits

Bullets - Using bulleted points is one of the best ways to
break up your copy and make some of your key points really
stand out. As will all formatting techniques, make sure to
don't swamp your email with bullet points.

Finally, once you've written the letter, give it a final
"scan test." Set it aside for an hour, then return to it
with fresh eyes BUT don't read it word for word. Scan over
the letter and see which sections jump out at you. Make
sure that those sections contain the key benefits.

Stick to these few simple rules, and you'll have no trouble
turning out emails that get a response, because your
customers actually WANT to receive them!

Easy to do steps to being an affiliate marketer

Easy to do steps to being an affiliate marketer
If you already have your business plan and website in
motion, there's always room in your pocket for extra cash
to go in it. One way to do this is the use of affiliate
links on your website. Successful affiliates of several
different businesses always promote companies that could be
online stores or other businesses with a large product base
that could be of use to visitors on your website. Usually,
there was a distinction amongst affiliate marketers because
they always had a good number of pop up windows and banner
ads everywhere. Today, these techniques that are used by
affiliates have been duplicated and fine tuned to the point
that you never know if your'e getting an offer from one or
not. So here are some easy to do steps in entering the
realm of affiliate marketing.

* If you can understand the concept of affiliate marketing,
you'll find that it's like any other business concept which
is market and promote to get profits. Once you get familiar
with concepts and market base, you'll have a good chance of
figuring out what is good and what's not. Learn the lingo
so you can know whether or not your'e doing pay per click
or pay per sale. Doing one over the other makes a big
difference in revenue.

* Design your website to be user friendly and easy to
navigate thru. You can use your blog or forum where people
list their opinions, an online media source, even do
something a little crazy like promote a website for Paris
Hilton. Actually, that doesn't sound so crazy, but you get
my drift. Whatever you go with make sure it's catchy and
effective to the point to where it draws your visitors to
keep visiting and make sure you implement the steps of
search engine optimization for exposure.

* Find an affiliate business that you actually wish to
affiliate yourself with. Just pick businesses with products
and services that appeal to the visitors of your website
and the revenue that comes from that can be tremendous. You
could decide to affiliate with a piano manufacturer who
will pay $50 per sale, but requires you to have a $500
balance with them before they pay you anthing. How
realistic is it to make 5 sales within a month or two. If
it doesn't seem feasible to you, then don't invest your
time or money.

* Promote your business and the affiliate thru articles,
emails, and newsletters.

* Always keep track of your success. Even though the
company you affiliate with will provide its own stats, you
still should make reports of progress or failure so you can
use that for effective marketing only using what works.
This way you don't spin your wheels or waist any money
doing the same thing that doesn't work and you can even
create new trends for marketing.

* Don't be afraid to drop a business if it isn't doing the
job for you. If your'e not getting a return on your
investment for one program, then ditch it for one that
holds more potential for success.

Of course, there are all types of ways to make money online
these days. Being an affiliate marketer is one of the
cutting edge ideas that's making a lot of people a lot of
money.

Focus On Quality Traffic Not Quantity

Focus On Quality Traffic Not Quantity
Now, going up the list in terms of quality, you will have
PPC traffic generation (this isn't really next long-term,
but if you don't know what you are doing, you can lose your
shirt in a hurry with these, so be careful).

There is also ezine advertising, and article marketing,
which, when done correctly, can be very profitable.

These are two forms of traffic generation that generally
produce a much higher quality visitor than the ones
mentioned earlier. Ezine advertising is more costly per
visitor, and article marketing, although it can be done on
a budget, is time consuming.

Now, everything is relative. You see, you will be spending
more per visitor for these visitors, but when they come to
your site they already have an interest in your type of
product. They are a much more targeted visitor, and as
such, are much more likely to purchase from you.

There is not much to say here about ezine advertising,
except to try it out and experiment with various ads in
various ezines. Again, it is important to track all your
traffic and the source of your sales. You see, if you
advertise in 10 ezines and receive 10 sales, it is very
unlikely that each ezine produced one sale each. One ezine
producing 8 sales, and another producing 2 sales, with the
other 8 ezines producing nothing is probably much more
realistic. For this reason, you must track, and it is also
advisable to advertise in several at one time. For example,
with the case just mentioned, if you had only advertised in
some of the ones that didn't produce, you would have a bad
feeling for ezine advertising, and if you had gotten lucky
and advertised in the one that produced the most sales, you
would have become over-zealous regarding ezine advertising.
But by purchasing several ads and tracking your results,
you have a much more realistic picture of what ezine
advertising can do.

Article marketing. This has recently become a very popular
area of advertising, although it has probably always been
effective.

What it entails is writing short, informative articles on
the same topic as your book and including a link to your
website at the end of the article. You then submit the
articles to the various article submission directories.
When they publish the articles, ezine directories pick up
your article and use it as content for their ezine or
newsletter. So, in a sense, it reaches the same market as
the ezine advertising, but with a different cost. I say
different, because although you are not paying for the
article to appear, you also have no control over where it
appears. The idea is that if you write a good article, the
ezine editors will include it because they feel it is good
information for their readers. It is also time consuming to
write articles and submit them to the various article
directories.

Now, just like everything on the web, there is an answer to
that, but now you are spending money again. There are
several article submission services out there that can
submit your article to the various directories, for a
reasonable fee. The advantage here is that you aren't
spending a ridiculous amount of time submitting the
articles, but keep in mind that some of the better article
directories won't accept the automated submissions. The key
here is to track what you, and check up on your articles to
be sure they appear with all your links intact. This goes
for whether you submit them yourself, or you have a
submission service do it for you.

Ok, now for PPC click campaigns. These are pay-per-click
campaigns that work exactly as the name implies. You pay
when someone clicks on your website. They also have their
good points and their drawbacks. They are wonderful for
testing aspects of your web site, because in some campaigns
you can have every other visitor go to a different version
of your site, and track the conversion rate of different
qualities of your page. They are good at simply bringing
targeted visitors to your site. The drawbacks, however, are
many, and I am not going to cover them here.

As you can see here, there are many different methods for
generating traffic, and in some sense they can probably all
fit into your strategy for generating sales. It is
important, though, that you tailor each sales page or sales
letter or squeeze page to the type of advertising you are
running. You can have a great source of traffic but if you
are ineffective at capturing either email information or
the sale, you will not be productive. And each form of
traffic requires a little different approach.

Another point here. Since there are so many different ways
to generate traffic, which should you try, and should you
try all of them? I suggest you choose a couple or three
that you might feel comfortable with, or at least
understand how they work. Also, do not try to use 25
different types of traffic the first month or two into this
project. It is far better to choose two or three and focus
on getting good at selling to that customer. It is so easy
to get caught up in trying something new every single week,
and never really making any money. Stick with a few, and
master them.

Work Your Home-Based Business With Zeal and Enthusiasm

Work Your Home-Based Business With Zeal and Enthusiasm
Many people today like the idea of having a home-based
business. Why? If you were to question a dozen different
people, you might get a dozen different reasons. Some would
say they like the idea of time-freedom and spending more
time with family and friends. Others would say that they
want to fire their boss and work in an environment where
they are in charge. Yet others like the idea of getting up
when they want and going to bed when they want. Basically,
all answers given might well be translated into owning
their lives. To be sure having such circumstances are very
appealing. But what are some realities that one might tend
to overlook? Let us examine some.

Those just getting started may have the idea that working
from home can be done whenever they feel like it, thus
providing them with instant time freedom. Well, the reality
is that it takes a while to get to that point. You see
working from home is just that it is WORK. So a person has
to have a good work schedule and stay with it each workday
in order to accomplish it. If the work is not done, the
money will not come in. What it comes down to is that one
has to be self-motivated. There is usually no one to remind
them of deadlines or to take care of some of the workload.
To get everything done in the course of the day, it takes a
self-motivated person with determination. A lack of
self-drive and determination could lead a person back to an
unsatisfactory job. Another quality to add here is
persistence. That quality is needed especially when things
do not go as well as anticipated. With those things in
mind, how can one regain zeal and self-motivation if it
begins to wane? What are some ways to persist?

How to Maintain Persistence and Self-Motivation

Let us first of all touch on persistence. So, what does it
mean to persist? It means you stick with it regardless of
the difficulties. For example, if you are new to operating
a home business, at the start you may not be making the
kind of money you would like. There is a learning curve, so
it could take several months before you make the kind of
money you want. At times it may seem that your business is
stagnant. In the face of such things persistence will move
you to stay with it and put to use all the things you are
learning. In time you will be making the money you desire.

Now let us take a closer look at self-motivation. To
consistently do the work that needs to be done, one has to
be a self-starter. A lackadaisical approach to a home
business will lead to failure, translated into little or no
income. To make a living with a home business, one must
remain motivated. How? There are several ways.

1. Always keep in mind WHY you started and operate a
home-based business.

2. Think back to the dead-end job you once had and disliked.

3. Read your list of goals and inspirational quotes daily.

4. Constantly stimulate your mind by learning more about
your business and products.

5. Study ways to improve the way you do business and deal
with prospects and customers.

6. Seek better ways to advertise and market your products.

7. Read, listen to, study and apply motivational material.

8. Remember to get advice from mentors who can assist you
in your business.

Those are just a few ideas, but such things will keep you
self-motivated. When your mind is focused on financial
success, failure will never be an option. You will do
whatever it takes to keep your home business rolling.

At times even the most motivated person can feel
overwhelmed. So, what can be done to fight against burnout?
Following are some suggestions. Plan a weekend away,
putting work concerns aside, and enjoy yourself. Then, upon
returning to work, your mind will be refreshed and you will
again find joy in your home business. A few days of rest,
relaxation and recreation can make a world of difference.
Try it sometime, especially if you tend to be a workaholic.
Your spouse and children will appreciate the time you spend
with them. On a simpler note, take a walk to unwind. In
fact, plan to take a walk once a day. Do so with your
family if possible. This is something that can be put into
your daily schedule. Finally, you may simply have to get
out of the office and sit in your easy chair for five to
ten minutes, closing your eyes and relaxing. All of the
aforementioned things can serve to keep you refreshed on a
daily basis.

Whatever you do, never give up on your dream of time and
financial freedom. The money is already there waiting for
you. Therefore, persist in working your home-based business
with zeal and enthusiasm. Maintain an intense level of
persistence and self-motivation. Doing so will keep you
where you belong, building a substantial income from the
comfort of your own home.
