Draw buyers to your eBay store selling eBooks

Draw buyers to your eBay store selling eBooks
EBay has become one of the most visited and biggest
websites on the Internet. It has been ranked as the 19th
most visited website online. There are approximately 160
million registered users all over the world on eBay and
just less than one tenth of 1% of these users are eBay
sellers. To be precise, eBay is a huge online market and if
you are interested in selling products that can be
delivered digitally, like eBooks, don't miss the
opportunity offered by eBay. Initially, eBay was not very
good for selling eBooks but today things have changed
considerably. Now eBay has opened its doors for the eBook
sellers after realizing that this procedure has the
potential to generate huge profit. Even if you are not very
good with computers, you can take advantage of this
opportunity because the process of listing eBooks and
making it available for buyers through an instant download
link has become very simple and easy.

The problem faced by many sellers of eBooks on eBay is that
it becomes difficult for them to make profit in a market
where an eBook gets sold for less than two dollars. There
is a huge drop in the final price even further after the
Paypal fees and listings. Many sellers prefer to give up
because it becomes difficult for them to figure out methods
through which they can earn good money and many don't even
try to start selling. They do not realize the benefits that
they can reap with eBay eBook selling if they put in some
extra effort. There are eBook sellers who have managed to
generate hundred and thousand of dollars in a year from
their business on eBay. The type of methodology that these
sellers have employed is very different from the general
sellers who give up fast. Sellers who are reaping a lot of
profit from eBay have managed to turn the process of
selling in to a science. The methodology followed by such
sellers is:

They list hundreds of eBooks for sale and then price them
at low costs. They do not profit from sale of these eBooks.
Instead, they use the eBooks that are priced cheaply as
"loss leader" products so that more buyers could be drawn
towards the eBay store. Once the buyers visit the store the
sellers can sell them products that are priced high.

Viral eBooks are a crucial component of the success rate of
these sellers. Whenever they create a new information
digital product they include a line back to their store and
products along with master rights for reselling. This leads
to an expansion in traffic to their store.

Rebrandable eBooks are sold as loss leader products as well
as used as a method of affiliate program promotion. With
rebrandable eBooks sale the sellers earn some money up
front and much more from back end sale.

Tapping Markets Through Affiliate Marketing and Network Programs

Tapping Markets Through Affiliate Marketing and Network Programs
When it comes to making money online, Affiliate and Network
programs are the buzzwords today for the online savvy
public. Affiliate marketing programs are indeed a great
innovation in the world of e-commerce. The rule is simple -
the more people drop by your website, the higher is your
income.

So how exactly does affiliate marketing work for you?
Affiliate marketing is an online marketing practice in
which a business pays some affiliates for each visitor
brought to the website due to the affiliate's marketing
efforts. Affiliate marketing programs can pay in different
ways. Sometimes, a company will pay a set amount for either
a directed one click link from your website or for a set
amount for visitors who sign up. Otherwise, payment can
even be made as a percentage of a purchase made by visitors
when they are referred from your website.

Recently, an online survey conducted in the UK has revealed
that more than 95% of the advertisers using affiliate
networks believe that this is the most cost effective form
of marketing for driving targeted traffic. These
advertisers are quite satisfied with the results of
affiliate campaigns.

For home businesses, the way affiliate marketing works is
by getting visitors to your site. Therefore, it is
necessary to create awareness about your product or
service. Marketing can of course do wonders to the sale
potential of an average product. And this is where
affiliates can help you. So, if you also want to make a
mark in the fast growing online marketplace, affiliates can
prove to be a good option for you and you can avail from a
range of their services like paid search engine marketing,
search engine optimisation and email marketing.

On the other hand, network marketing is based on the
concept of 'networking'. Everybody has a circle of people
who they interact with regularly. They can be your friends,
colleagues, relatives or just acquaintances. In turn, the
people you know have their own network of people they
interact with. With network marketing, these networks can
be tapped to sell products or services and also to offer
business opportunity to new potential distributors. As a
result, with the widening of the networks, one gets to
benefit not just from individual sales but also a
percentage of the sales from their network.

The main difference between affiliate marketing and
networks is that while in network marketing, you get paid
even for the efforts of your network members, in affiliate
marketing, you get paid only on your individual sales.
Also, most affiliate marketing programs can be joined free
of cost, whereas there is usually a joining fee for network
marketing businesses.

For affiliate marketing opportunities, it may be worthwhile
to offer affiliate services through your own website. You
can provide links to affiliates and you get paid according
to the number of clicks you get on those links. The content
you display on your website has tremendous potential for
attracting visitors. So, it is advisable to do some
preliminary research on the sort of content and design that
you can build up to get a strong foothold in the world of
affiliate marketing. Blogs, forums and social networking
websites are particularly important sources to figure out
what people are looking for. This can help you formulate
your own unique content for your website. Also, an
important thing to do is to always provide your contact
details on your website so that visitors can be assisted in
case they need help or guidance.

For success in network marketing, one must have a definite
focus and a good compensation plan which is flexible and
offers reasonable returns on effort. Network marketing may
particularly be suited to people who have household
responsibilities and wish to work from home. With the
growth of internet services and advent of social networks
like Orkut, Myspace and Facebook, it is worthwhile to start
a business online with some capital and expand it through a
well organised and systematic marketing plan. Yes, these
social networks today have tremendous potential for
marketing your business as they provide a common platform
to reach wide audiences, some of who may even be personally
known to you! Evidence suggests that simple word of mouth
marketing can also be quite useful.

There's no doubt that with the expansion of internet, and
with the advent of affiliate systems and more recently,
social networking websites like Facebook, the potential for
online business is unlimited. There are various ways
available now to tap your market and have a great business.
So if you are perseverant and interested in conducting
business online, trust me, the opportunity has never been
better before!

Your 7-Point Annual Website Tune-up

Your 7-Point Annual Website Tune-up
Every time you take your car in for an oil change, most
shops give you a 15- or 30-point checkup when they change
your oil to alert you to any other potential problems you
might experience in the future. In the same way that your
mechanic conducts a regular inspection of your automobile,
you need to conduct an annual checkup of your website.

Here are 7 critical areas that need to be checked yearly on
your site:

1. Copyright notice. In years past it would take me until
March or April to update my copyright notices primarily
because I had to go in and update every single page of my
site. More recently, however, I've used an includes file,
which is one file that can be inserted in many pages to
hold my copyright and contact info. Consequently, when I
need to update the copyright info, I open this one file in
my HTML editor, update that file, save and upload it. Once
it's revised, the new information miraculously appears on
all the pages in which it's included, updating them all at
once.

2. Opt-in forms. The beginning of each year is a great
time to ensure that all of the opt-in forms are working on
your site. Do you need to add additional fields to the
opt-in form to collect mailing addresses, for example, or
to ask how visitors found your site? Is the information
contained on your confirmation page (the page to which a
visitor is sent upon her initial request to opt into your
list) still current and relevant? How about the thank you
page (the page to which your visitor is sent when she has
confirmed her desire to join your list)?

3. Autoresponder followup. Next, review the content of the
autoresponders that you've set to follow up the opt-in.
Are they still current? Do they mention offers or upsells
that are still available? Do you need to update any
copyright or contact information contained within them?
Are they making it through spam filters? Use this tool to
ensure that every email gets into your contact's inbox,
SpamCheck from SiteSell, http://spamcheck.sitesell.com/

4. Signature files. Does your email signature file
contain a call to action that's still working for you, or
does it need to be updated? Have you changed any portion
of your contact information? After you review your
signature files in your email client, do the same check of
your email signature file in your shopping cart program or
autoresponder program.

5. Client attraction device. Take a look at the free
giveaway you provide to your visitors in return for them
opting into your list. Whether it's a document or an audio
or video file, update the copyright and content information
in it and review any biographical/profile information that
you list about yourself or your business. Is the content
you provide in this giveaway still valid and current? Do
you want to keep the current call to action, or does it
need to be updated to better fit with your current business
model?

6. Missing images and dead link check. When your website
fails to properly display images, your business appears
unprofessional. Tour your website to ensure that all
images are displaying as they should. If you link to or
make reference to many resources on your site, run a dead
link check annually to weed out or update those that no
longer work. You may be able to do this with your HTML
editor. If not, try the free weekly link checking service
offered by iNetDog, http://www.inetdog.com/link_checking.php

7. Order forms. Be sure that your order form works all the
way through. Most online business owners, when checking
order forms, stop at the point where they need to enter
credit card information. If your merchant account
agreement prohibits you from using your credit card to
order from your company, ask if they have a test card
number you can use, or have a reciprocal agreement with a
colleague to check each other's forms. Check your followup
autoresponders that are set to go out after someone makes a
purchase, as well, to ensure that they are still up-to-date.

Websites that are obviously out-of-date or aren't working
properly are a huge deterrent to doing business with you.
Check these 7 key areas yearly on your site to convey to
your visitors that your site is regularly updated and
maintained.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself
There are millions of people and entrepreneurs promoting
products and services online these days through internet
videos. It has become very apparent that video is a
fabulous venue for promoting and advertising.

This is nowhere greater evidenced than by just flipping on
your TV. HSN, QVC, and infomercial producers have spent
years and millions of dollars testing video marketing and
what does or does not sell through video.

The latest video phenomenon is YouTube. With Google's
purchase of the company, you can be assured that this
latest craze is here to stay. YouTube videos have a
specific advantage over TV advertising in that the videos
are free to post. This allows for a lot of trial and error
with scripts and products without racking up a costly
advertising bill.

Selling via video is being attempted by many, but will be
successful for only a few. Here are some tips to consider
when producing a video to broadcast yourself online.

Have A Clear Goal

Although there is plenty of bad content circulating on
YouTube, you cannot afford for your video to be bad. Put
some thought into your script before you just jump right
into production. Even a bad script with an exceptional
presentation will still be mediocre.

A good script should make specific points, be inviting and
energetic, but not ramble or oversell. Your overall
objective is to spark some excitement in the viewer's mind
and leave them wanting to hear more. This is where you will
be able to get them to view your website and close the deal.

Production Matters

It is naive to believe that by just grabbing a camera and
shooting a video in your backyard you will have success at
video marketing. Although many people are doing this, it
doesn't mean that they are having success with it. Take
your time with the production of your video. There are many
great software products available online that will assist
you in creating a professional end product.

Call To Action

Online shoppers are much more selective about the videos
they will watch on the internet versus on the television.
It is very important that you clearly state your objectives
and then ask for the customer to do something for you in
return. If your video does not make a compelling
presentation, your customer will rarely take action. This
is where you can ask the viewer to visit your website for
more information.

Quality Matters

People respond to quality, informative content. They don't
look to YouTube to watch unpolished productions. If you
want to convey a professional image for yourself and your
business, it is advisable to put some time and effort into
your video. However, if you come off as unprofessional or
casual, people will not be inspired to do business with
you. Put some time and thought into your video so that you
will be pleased with the end result.

Coastal Vacations - Is it a Scam?

Coastal Vacations - Is it a Scam?
You often get confused about coastal vacations as a fraud
because, many things are said regarding its business
opportunities and travel packages. Firstly, coastal
vacations is an organization of businesspersons who buy the
travel package and market the same travel package at a
reasonable or wholesale price.

Below answered questions will help you to understand the
reality of coastal vacations. We hope that this help you
make an educated decision if this home based business is
right for you.

Is Coastal Vacation A Fraud And Going To Shut Down In
Future?

You need to know that the coastal organization works only
with licensed companies. It bonds with companies
participating since last 10 to 20 years and which manage
thousands of customers yearly.

Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruises, Wyndham, Alamo Car
Rental, Acess and Celebrity are the ethical travel
industries that offer coastal vacations.

How Can The Cost Value Of Vacation Package Be Just Only
$1,295?

For this, you have to understand working principles of the
vacation and travel companies. They are based on the charge
of resort or cruise stay or the dependency of the airline
tickets on probable and vacancy rates.

Very occasionally, a resort achieves full accommodation.
The empty resort rooms add up to their expense. Hence,
resorts reduce the rates of rooms and offer special
packages, in order to draw more tourists to their resorts.

Moreover, people are more inclined to shell off money on
bars, restaurants, casinos, shops, and souvenir. This is
another fact that Coastal vacation organizations buy
resorts in huge quantities.

Why Coastal vacations are not public traded company?

A coastal vacation is associated with Board of Director.
Most of the coastal vacations have lawsuit. Hence, to stay
with the lawsuit limits, it is not publicly traded.
Moreover, you are also not aware about the lawsuits against
some of the big MLM and home based business companies.
Generally, lawsuits offer protection to coastal
organizations from unsatisfied clients.

There are unsatisfied customers no matter which company
that you may look into. Since, Coastal Vacations is an
organization and every entrepreneur is owner of its
business, it cannot be shut down. A coastal vacation gives
you the opportunity to get travel package at reasonable
wholesale price. In conclusion, I did not join Coastal
Vacations. While you can find very nice discounts on
travel, the compensation plan needs to be improved. As with
any 2-up program, a lot of people end up with no sponsor to
be found and looking for someone to help them succeed. The
truth is your sponsor has very little desire for you
succeed since you are now his competition. I would really
avoid any business that is an 2-up program.

Plan for Success

Plan for Success
The best way to create a user-friendly, powerful web site
is to plan for it. If you're going to invest time in
building and promoting your site, you want to be sure that
once visitors get there, they're converted into buyers.
Start by analyzing where you are at the present, where you
want to go, and what steps will take you there.

If you compare the internet to a mall, then your web site
is a store in the mall. A profitable store includes a
well-trained staff, attractive displays inside, a nice sign
out front and a killer window display. A store alone won't
make sales. You have to attract people inside, convince
them you have something they need, and encourage them to
act.

The same is true for an internet business. You have to
attract customers and then sell them your product or
service.

So, in this example, the store is your web site, the sign
out front is your domain name, the knowledgeable staff is
your content and the in store displays are the photos on
your site. All you're missing is the window display. And
that is your marketing plan. It is the "it" factor that
draws people in. And there are many ways to do this online:

* Banner ads

* Ezine Ads

* PPC

* Search Engine Marketing

* Joint Ventures

* Affiliates

Identify your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)

This statement is the headline for your web site and all
other marketing material where your business name appears.
It communicates the benefits of doing business with you and
identifies what differentiates you from your competition.
In short, why should they do business with you instead of
someone else.

A strong USP is worth its weight in gold. Here are a few
that hit the jackpot:

"Fresh, Hot Pizza Delivered to Your Door in 30 Minutes or
Less, Guaranteed," Domino's Pizza

"The Ultimate Driving Machine," BMW

"Glasses in about an hour," LensCrafters

Your USP should instill excitement about doing business
with you or finding out more about what you offer.
Position it at the top of your home page and underneath
your logo throughout your entire web site.

USP Tips

Avoid general statements and vague terms like "the best,"
since anyone can make that claim. Instead, speak directly
to your ideal market, and address their wants. Explain what
it is that makes you the best or what you do better than
others. And use this USP in all of your marketing
materials for greater consistency and overall impact. Not
only does it help your prospect gain a clear view of your
company it can help you stay focused when making key
decisions.

The Difference between Features and Benefits

A feature is something the product or service has. The
benefit is the emotional statement to show prospects what
they will get and how they will feel as a result of using
your product/service. Example of feature statement: Health
Food products made with all natural ingredients.

Example of benefit statement: Natural health that keeps you
fit and younger looking.

Write for Your Target Audience

Know your target audience. Are you B2B (Business to
Business) or B2C (Business to Consumer)? It makes a
difference. Do you sell wholesale or in bulk? Do you only
take small orders or large orders? Be specific, let people
know what you do and if they are in the right place.
Keyword selection is important in helping guide the proper
traffic, but we'll address that in depth later.

To start, just assume that people are going to come to your
site confused and uncertain. Guide them through the site
and show them exactly what you have for them. If they are
unsure, they're out the door. If you convey immediately
what you have to offer that perfectly fits their needs, you
have your chance to win their business.

As you pull all these things together remember that your
site should not cater to your preferences, but to your
visitors' preferences. If it isn't converting, reexamine
it for flaws and try testing to determine what brings in
the best results.

Basic, Better and Brilliant Ways to Sell a Product Online

Basic, Better and Brilliant Ways to Sell a Product Online
One of the easiest types of products to sell online is an
informational product.

Just about anything you have expert knowledge on can be
developed into a guide and sold online. Unfortunately, the
vast majority of people selling informational products
online do so in the wrong way.

Let's take a look at 3 ways of selling an informational
product. The basic way, the better way, and what we call
the brilliant way. This last way of selling your product
allows you to build a multi-million dollar business out of
your product.

The Basic Way

As an active user of online dating sites, Sheryl notices
that many men struggle to write a decent introduction and
profile to post on a dating site. As a consequence, they
get hardly any responses from prospective dates. Sensing a
market opportunity, Sheryl writes a 50 page ebook targeted
to men on how to market themselves better in the dating
market.

She prices the book at $6 and sells it on Amazon.com. She
makes $3 per sale as the distributing site, Amazon.com,
takes 50%. Selling 100 copies a month, she makes only $300
a month. Later Sheryl also decides to advertise the book
herself on Google and Yahoo!. To afford pay per click
advertising rates in the busy online dating market she has
to increase the price of her book to $15.

At the higher price, Sheryl now sells only 50 copies a
month but by selling them on her own and not on Amazon.com
she now makes $750 a month. After paying her advertising
bills on Google and Yahoo!, she earns an income of around
$500 a month. This is good....but far from great. Sheryl
could have been a lot more innovative.

The Better Way

Marge writes a book on dating, just like Sheryl, but she
knows that selling it online will not bring her much more
than $500 a month so she tries something different.

She gives away the contents of her book for free online.
She sets up a website dedicated to dating tips. The 50 page
book is broken into sections and she designs the site
according to search engine optimization rules so she gets a
steady stream of traffic from Google, Yahoo!, bloggers and
fellow site owners who link to her site.

How does she make money? By giving away her book for free
she now has traffic coming to her site. Better yet, this
traffic is highly targeted and consists of people looking
for dating tips and advice. Marge makes money by reviewing
and recommending various dating sites to her audience.

Since the online dating industry is ultra-competitive, many
websites will pay Marge affiliate fees between $10 and $50
for every customer she sends to them.

By offering free advice, her audience comes to trust her
and to appreciate her honest reviews. She in turn makes
money every time a visitor signs up for a site she reviews.

The Brilliant Way

Quincy's idea was to help people learn to play their
favorite songs on an acoustic guitar in a fun, simple, and
intuitive way.

Quincy told us that he had never seen any product online
that made learning to play guitar fun and easy. He said,
"Every guitar instruction book and DVD on the market is not
teaching people how to start playing their favorite songs,
they all focus on music theories and practice lessons!"

That's when he decided to launch iPlayMusic.

He decided to completely change his approach. He realized
that if his beginner book and DVD was so successful, why
not give some of it away for free? As a small business, it
is very hard to get people to trust us and buy from us.

However, it is far easier to give them something for free,
earn their trust and then convert them into paying
customers later. Plus, giving away some lessons would cost
us next to nothing since ebooks and videos could be
formatted into easy downloads.

He added free demos and created a free online course that
customers received over two week span. He also made our
instructional videos available through iTunes, which got
him a lot of publicity.

He then went back to creating more content and started
working on the next volume of lessons to help beginning
guitar players take it to the next level!

In addition to expanding his instructional "Learn to Play
Guitar" lessons he also created detailed how-to videos
teaching people how to play some popular guitar songs.

Lastly, he came up with the idea to create a "Beginner
Guitar Bundle" that combined his lessons with an acoustic
guitar.

Since he doesn't make guitars, he contacted a leading
guitar manufacturer and struck a deal where he was able to
source guitars at over 65% less than retail price.

He now had a $129 product with a profit margin of over $65
per order. This time, all the changes he made worked and
iPlayMusic soon reached sales of over $1,000 per day. He
hasn't looked back since.

So as you can see, there are 3 very different ways to
market an informational product online. The last thing you
want to do is follow the crowd and sell your product on
Amazon.com. Although Amazon.com is the easy way out, it's
not very effective and you won't make the money you're
hoping for.

Legitimate Work At Home Business Opportunities

Legitimate Work At Home Business Opportunities
Before you go venturing into a chance for monetary
progress, it's critical to properly investigate various
home based business opportunities that suit your needs and
interests. A large part of your success lays in the
research phase of starting a work at home business; take
heart not to disregard it.

If it's wise to work from home or not the internet has made
it realistic, but the can of worms is finding a reliable
and valid opportunity. There are various people searching
for legitimate work at home business opportunities, but
they're uncertain what to look for or concerned about
giving their money to an unethical business.

It has been estimated that someone in the world starts a
home business every 11 seconds. Home based businesses are
becoming the standard with infinite income possibilities.
Unfortunately, within the many opportunities come a great
deal of lies, scams, cons and all kinds of ways to cheat
people out of their money.

It's not always obvious to determine whether or not a
potential business model is a sincere money making
opportunity. While looking for an opportunity that suits
your needs, you also need to ensure that it's legal.

Plausible work from home businesses have distinctly laid
out procedures about the undertakings you will need to
execute, they furnish resources to help you succeed, and
there is someone you can get hold of to ask questions.

The website should contain some forms of contact options; a
valid phone number, a working email address, something that
you can use to touch base with a real person. A legitimate
work at home business will supply you with at least two
types of contact alternatives because they realize that
customer service is the breath of their business. If
you're unable to speak with a real person consider that to
be a red flag and you're not working with credible sources.

All legitimate work from home businesses extend the
budding entrepreneur varying choices of mentoring and
support. If you encounter serviceable business concepts,
ideas and strategies your search just may be over. You're
bound to run into a few choices that will look just too
good to be true and may have to pass up on those and
continue your search. Avoid any type calling for you to pay
money to sign up or obtain the necessary information to
make a well informed business decision.

Instead rededicate your time and hard earned money to a
business theory that will earn you a first class return on
your investment.
