Is the Style of Internet Marketing changing.

Is the Style of Internet Marketing changing.
There are two distinct styles of online marketing, one is
business marketing, the other is website marketing. With
web site marketing your goal is to have people looking for
a particular service or product to find your web site while
conducting an online search through the major search
engines. There are many variables involved in web site
marketing and once you are able to get them all functioning
together, there is a good chance that you will experience a
major influx of new visitors to your web site.

With the continued growth of the computer age, there is a
whole new way of marketing your business. This is
especially for businesses who perform most of their
transactions online. When searching for online customers,
internet marketing becomes the main target for your
marketing efforts because it will attract the customers
relevant to your online business.

One the other side are businesses that heavily promote
their availability aimed at the internet USERS rather than
the search engines. Utilizing internet advertisements,
sending out emails and other promotional marketing
materials that are designed to bring visitors to their
online web sites, are just a few of the online marketing
strategies available today.

One of the things to remember with online marketing is to
consider your home page as a billboard to the whole world.
If there is little traffic, there will be few people who
will see your billboard so your efforts should be focused
on getting people looking in the right direction. Looking
at it from another perspective, there may be over a
thousand people selling a certain brand of personal care
items and they all have a web site, many provided free when
they signed up and they all look alike and have the same
enhancements.

If a person searches for the brand by name, there is no
telling whose web site is going to pop up in the search
results. If you own one of these thousands of sites,
specific marketing will need to be done to guide that
potential traffic to the site you own. To do this you can
use pay-per-click advertising that you pay for based on the
number of visitors who click through to your site.

Affiliate marketing is also a popular method of bringing
visitors to your site. As a business, you agree to pay a
certain percentage or dollar amount of a sale to another
site, an affiliate, who drives the traffic to you.
Essentially, you are gaining free advertising and only pay
for it if your site makes a sale. While some link exchange
programs have been successful in the past, having thousands
of unrelated links to your site may turn search engines
against you and lose your information from their engines
and as a result from their results pages.

Website marketing is an on-going and potentially time
consuming process. Website marketing is the key component
in attracting new business for most modern companies. There
are those who stick their head in the sand - and the more
astute companies who turn to modern real time practices for
success.

Website marketing is one of the important features in
augmenting your ultimate target. You need to think about
the things that you send to your customer.

Website marketing is becoming increasingly easy to do
because so many services are creating an all in one package
that does website marketing for you. Not to say that you
should not do your own search engine optimization because
this is the most cost effective way to get things done but
for people that are not computer literate it is becoming
much easier for them to drive additional traffic to their
website. Website marketing is a critical component of
business success and knowledge of these strategies is
critical for marketers in today's economy. Website
Marketing is not about how much money you spend on
advertising, it's about the way you spend your advertising
dollars. Some people that spend $200 to $400 a month in
online marketing can produce a better result than others
spending twice as much.

Website marketing is about attracting customers in a buying
mood. Getting traffic is cheap and "easy" but yields little
in return. Website marketing is an essential component of
any successful online business strategy.

Website marketing is the most effective way of addressing
this issue. In the real world the small entrepreneur may not
have a massive budget to spend on advertising. Website
marketing is vital to obtaining a broad user base and
regular visitors. Without marketing, even the most useful
and interesting websites will sink to the bottom of search
engine results:They still need traffic. Website marketing
is a serious business,

Website marketing is at the heart of most client campaigns
with heavy doses of online marketing, including broadcast
email marketing and website design that put search engine
optimization at the top of our design priorities. Of
course, we still love to produce creative advertising in
all media, including print advertising, TV commercials and
radio commercials, when our client's audience calls for
these choices. Website marketing is also capable of
bringing enough traffic to online sites. Website marketing
is not necessarily about search engine placements. It is
about using your website as a marketing tool.

Search engines are only the first step in a profitable web
campaign. Search engine optimization and search engine
marketing, together with other forms of web promotion and
website marketing, is a necessity rather than a luxury.

The astute webmaster will keep abreast of the latest search
engine developments, which includes building a collection of
quality, relevant incoming links. MOST important is to
ensure that YOUR site is able to convert visitors into
buying customers, by so doing we ensure that it remains in
the rankings and brings a great return on investment.
Search engines keep changing their algorithms all the time
and you will be on a never ending loop trying to maintain
your SEO Ranking. The best way to get a high rating is to
provide good content in your website which will draw a
constant stream of traffic to it.

EBay Warning: Dropshipping? PayPal Is Holding Your Money!

EBay Warning: Dropshipping? PayPal Is Holding Your Money!
EBay has been the ideal home based business for years. Most
of us started with the 'clean out the garage' model, and
over time graduated to dropshipping, and in many cases, it
has turned into a pretty significant fulltime income.

Over the last several weeks, several VERY disturbing
changes have taken place at EBay as EBay seems intent on
wiping out the very business base that built the behemoth,
to focus on the corporate clientele that have taken a much
larger position on EBay over the past couple of years,
using EBay to sell off their excess inventory directly,
rather than selling to the large discount chains as was the
previous habit.

Here's an overview of some of the most significant - and
damaging - changes that affect you and I, the folks that
have built home businesses around EBay....

1) The EBay Feedback system now only allows Sellers to
leave POSITIVE for Buyers. On the other hand, Buyers can
leave any kind of feedback they want for Sellers. This
means that if you have a problem with a Buyer (gee - that
never happens, right?) you are pretty much out of luck! So,
if the Buyer feels that he should have received his widget
in 3 working days - even though you clearly state that it
takes no less than 10 working days for the widget to ship -
he can give you a negative! And you are pretty much
powerless since there is no arbitration system in place.

2) Neutral Feedback? HAH!! Guess what? They no longer
exist! All of your neutral comments have now been converted
to NEGATIVE feedback ratings. Top PowerSellers have lost
their PowerSeller status and the perks that went along with
it - including the extra discounts that were often factored
into their pricing. Although the PowerSellers were given a
period of time to 'correct' the situation - the bottom line
is that Buyers are not terribly responsive to such requests
- and this means that a huge percentage of
PowerSellers...aren't. An interesting side note here is
that one PowerSeller that was hit by these changes.....is
also one of the speakers at this week's EBay Live
Conference in Chicago......should be a very interesting
speech.......

3) The Final Straw.......dropshipping is huge on EBay. My
hubby has been very successful dropshipping on EBay - both
through EBay partners such as Doba and others, as well as
resources of his own, through his 25 years in the wholesale
gift industry. Today he received an email from PayPal
stating that any orders that were 'known to be
dropshipping" would result in a 21 day hold on the funds
from the customer! The only way around this is to send
PayPal the tracking notice when the product ships and
supposedly they will 'release' your funds.

Personally - I have dealt with PayPal in the past over
disputes - and the response times are horrible. Basically,
this means that if you have been earning a living
dropshipping - you will now have to be financially solvent
enough to cover all of your sales out of your own pocket,
rather than paying for the product with the funds from
PayPal. This pretty much will kill the entire dropshipping
business model for most people on EBay.

4) No digital products - Ebooks were a HUGE seller on EBay
and it was a great business model! Automated download, a
real 'set it and forget it' business model if handled
correctly. But apparently it was not handled correctly by
many and now ebooks and other digital items must be sold in
DVD format and physically shipped. <sigh> exactly why it
was such a great business - you didn't have to ship
anything!

At one point, we had 4 stores on EBay and thousands of
products, but we have been 'branching out' and are looking
at other products, such as the EBay Affiliate program,
niche store scripts etc.

After this latest round of changes, and the notice today
from PayPal, we will be pulling 99% of our products off
EBay.

As a home business - it no longer works for us.

Over the next few days we will be posting reviews of the
various store models as we take them for a test drive - we
will bring the pros and cons of every system!!

10 New Rules to Get a Flood of Traffic from Online Publicity

10 New Rules to Get a Flood of Traffic from Online Publicity
I started submitting press releases in the 80s when I was a
college student to help promote one of the many activities
I coordinated as the vice president of service for a
national service fraternity to which I belonged. Since
that time, and especially since the advent of Internet
marketing, the philosophy behind the strategy of submitting
press releases and measuring the success of a release has
completely shifted. The number of clippings from
newspapers running your release used to be considered the
hallmark in determining the success of a release. That's
no longer the case.

In today's marketing environment, submitting press releases
online is a very viable strategy for attracting attention
to your website and to your business. However, the strategy
is very underutilized by online service businesses. Why?
Because most of us are still operating under the rules of
traditional press releases. Many of the traditional rules
of writing press releases no longer apply in today's
Internet marketing age.

Here are 10 new rules for online press releases that will
help you get better results from your Internet marketing:

1. Write for consumers, not journalists. Today's online
press release is really written more for the consumer of
your products and services rather than members of the
media. The media may, indeed, pick up your release and
create a story or interview you based on that release.
However, what is more likely to happen is that a consumer
who is searching online for a solution to his problem will
stumble across your release and be compelled to take the
action that you specify in the release.

2. Set a goal for the release. Do you hope to sell more
ebooks, drive traffic to your site, sell tickets to an
event, or promote a teleclass? This is how you measure the
success of today's press release.

3. Determine your target audience. Just like with any
other marketing effort, being able to address the needs and
concerns of your target market is key to creating a
successful press release. If you have more than one
audience, you may want to create more than one release.

4. Include your call to action. Do you want to invite the
reader to pick up free information on your site, register
for an event, or buy your newest book? The call to action
that you desire needs to be included in the final paragraph
of your press release.

5. Create a compelling headline. The headline for your
release needs to be compelling and interesting enough to
get the searcher to open and read your release. If you
struggle to come up with compelling headlines, take a trip
to your local supermarket and read the headlines on the
magazines that are placed near the checkout lanes. Women's
magazines, Cosmo in particular, have excelled at the
headline game for years, as it is the headlines on the
cover that help them sell magazines. Study their headline
formulas and see how you might apply them to your own
business.

6. Promote all activities. No longer are press releases
reserved for newsworthy events. Submit a press release for
anything that happens in your business: the launch of a new
website, your presentation at a conference, the release of
a new ebook, election as an officer to a professional
association, etc.

7. Optimize for searches. Before completing your release,
do a quick keyword search using the free keyword research
tool at Wordtracker.com. Optimize your release for 2-3
relevant keyword phrases for which you want to be found
that have a fair amount of search traffic. Include these
keywords in your headline, sub header, first paragraph, and
body of your press release.

8. Write for longevity. In the days of the traditional
release, a press release was only available for a short
period of time and then disappeared forever. Online press
releases, however, hang out for years on websites and can
be found in searches several years after their initial
release date.

9. Include links. Unlike the releases that appear in
print media, your online press release can contain several
links to various pages on your site. You may want to
direct readers to your home page, to a specific landing
page or product page, or to an event registration page.

10. Pay for release. There are many free press release
sites online. The dirty little secret of these free sites
is that your release is never submitted anywhere. It just
sits on that free press release site, never to be seen
again. If you truly want your release to be seen online,
pay for that privilege. I use and highly recommend
PRWeb.com for this service. For their basic submission
free of $80, you can get more than ample distribution of
your release all over the Web.

Press releases are a great tool to help you in your
Internet marketing efforts. Begin slowly, and plan to
submit one release per quarter at first, and then move to
monthly, and perhaps eventually to weekly. By doing so,
you'll make your site more relevant to search engines,
drive more visitors to your site, and position yourself as
the well-known expert in your field.

Tips On How To Play In The Online Home Business Game

Tips On How To Play In The Online Home Business Game
Did you know that in the last year there have been more
millionaires reported than in any other time in history?
Did you know that those millionaires are coming from the
online internet business? So now that you know that are you
asking yourself, "so, how did they do that"?

Good Question...

Most of them are coming from the online information
marketing industry. People want information and what better
place to get it than from the internet. You have seen it,
e-books, cd's, free conference calls. This stuff is
everywhere. But lets be honest these guys did not make
their millions on selling $30 e-books.

Nope, they made it by creating a list. A list of people
that buy from them no matter what they are selling. A list
of people that know them and trust them and know that what
they say is real. So as a newbie in the online internet
business if you don't have a list how can you succeed? Sure
you can.

Get a list....

There are many ways to create a list. Some are free and
some will cost you. For free you can post ads everywhere;
classified ads, ezine advertising, Craigslist, and some
Solo Ads. In those ads you will want to provide something
to them, newsletters are great; anything that shows you as
an authority in your industry. Then when they click on the
link you have provided you capture enough information to
allow you to continue marketing to them until they
unsubscribe.

You can purchase leads for your target market. If you are
in the network marketing industry you would purchase
business opportunity seekers. With those email addresses
you can now send them information on your business
opportunity. This option can be as cheap or as expensive as
you choose.

Brand yourself....

Some people call this attraction marketing or maybe
magnetic sponsoring. Either way it is about getting to know
you. Who you are, what you do and how you can help them.
This is the best way to build your email list. This is how
the big boys do it. Branding yourself is the only way to
build a consistent stable strategy to generate customers.
And this strategy works on any program you are currently in
or join in the future.

This strategy is by no means a get rich quick, it takes
time for people to get to know you and trust you. However,
if you are willing to work at this it will pay off big time
in the future. This is highly recommended.

5 Skills You Must Learn How To Do To Make Money On The Internet

5 Skills You Must Learn How To Do To Make Money On The Internet
I kind of hesitate to make this sound like a requirement
because there are people that really make money online and
do not do all five of these. But if you want to have a well
rounded Internet marketing business there are five things
you need to learn how to do in my opinion.

1. Learn basic HTML. This is not as hard as it sounds and
will really make a difference in how you approach your
business once you learn the basics.

Not having to wait on someone, or to pay someone, to make
changes to your website is a very liberating feeling. You
can Google search the words "learn basic HTML code" to come
up with websites to check out how to do this.

2. Set up your own blog. This is not hard to do and
websites like Blogger.com, or even WordPress make it very
easy to get started. Your business is at a huge
disadvantage if you are not blogging, and you need to get
started on that right away.

3. Create landing pages. To make an ongoing income in the
future you will need to build a mailing list for future
follow. The best way to do that is to promote a landing
page for collecting contact information from your visitor.

4. Set up an auto responder and learn how to use it. An
autoresponder is an automatic way to send email and is a
very versatile Internet marketing tool.

For example you can set up prewritten messages in it and
every time someone fills out the form on your landing page
your autoresponder will start following up with them over
and oave.

You can use your autoresponder over and over for multiple
reasons and to build multiple lists. The most successful
Internet marketers today are running several lists and
working them all of the time.

5. Master one form of Internet advertising first. Jumping
around trying different things is really not the most
effective way to get consistent traffic coming to your
website.

By mastering one form of advertising you will get good at
it and develop a system that works for you. Only then
should you add another form of advertising to your mix.

This is five things you must learn to do today on the
Internet if you want to make money now and in the future.
Fortunately anyone with average intelligence can learn
these five things, and go on to have a successful Internet
marketing business.

5 More Hot Tips For Linking With Other Web Sites

5 More Hot Tips For Linking With Other Web Sites
In this second article, we examine some more things to
watch out for when you are creating a link building
campaign. Hopefully by the end, you will be in a better
position to obtain and maintain good quality backlinks that
help launch your site up the search engine rankings.

1. Is The Links Page Indexed By The Search Engines?

If a link on pages is not being read by the search engines,
then it is not of much use to you. The further the links
page is from the home page, the less likely it is to be
indexed. If a page has PR, then you know that it has been
indexed (by Google at least), although no PR does not mean
that the page has not been indexed. You can conduct your
own test by typing cache: followed by the url of the page
in question. If the page has been crawled, you should see
some results.

2. Should You Be Wary Of 3 Way Links?

Many people feel that direct reciprocal linking has limited
value these days. One way around this is the idea of 3 way
links; where site A links to site B, and site B links to
site C. Site C then links back to site A again. One problem
with this is that it is harder to control where exactly
your link is going to end up. If as a matter of policy you
have decided that relevance if of paramount importance,
then 3 way linking may not be for you, Or at least, it may
be harder to organise.

3. Association With Particular Sites?

Your decision whether to link or not should be a bit easier
having read this article (hopefully). You should have some
criteria in mind as to what constitutes a site you want to
be associated with. If the site in question meets your
criteria, then add a link. Equally, if that site does not
meet your criteria, then steer clear.

4. How To Keep Track Of Links Back To Me?

This is perhaps the hardest and in some cases the most time
consuming part of your link building process. Obtaining
links is a painstaking and time consuming process, and you
don't want to give your work away too lightly. To protect
your links and the integrity of your sites, you should
check that your link partners are keeping to their side of
the bargain and keeping your links live. You could do this
by maintaining a spreadsheet of all of the links, and
checking them one by one. Ouch! I can suggest an easier way
to do this which will save you many hours a week though. I
will go into that at the end of this article.

5. What Are The Best Links To Have?

There is no definitive answer the this question. Maybe one
way to answer this is the links that deliver the most
traffic to you. Or perhaps the links that give the best
value to your customers. There is no right answer. One way
to find good potential partners is to type in a specific
keyword into the search engines, and contact some of the
sites that come up at the top of the results. These should
be good potential partners.

What you have now are some good ideas for a link building
strategy that allows you to make good decisions based on
sound principles, and now you should be better placed to
make those decisions.

You can make your link building life a lot easier by using

Your Best Results in an Online Business Opportunity

Your Best Results in an Online Business Opportunity
When an person is first starting out in an online business
opportunity, the thought is to spread yourself thin over
many different sites quite quick and hope for the best. But
this strategy is not really the optimal way that you should
be doing any type online marketing promotion.

You should be spreading yourself thick instead of thin as
the more you add value to your sites then you are building
yourself up as an expert of high value and a great
knowledge source for your potential customers to be able to
tap into.

People want to read high quality information from people
who take themselves seriously and those who really want to
help others too. Whatever you are knowledgeable at, show
this first by all means. Then you can show what others may
be searching for and wanting to know how to do what you are
doing and really explain it in detail, either in a report
or a product you may sell on a sales page.

Adding backlinks to your online websites is the best way to
go, but always do this in an organized way. Do not do it in
a way of a random act of spam madness. You need to find
other people who may want to find your information for
themselves. They want to read and discover through the
search engines or some other means, a group or niche
related membership site or forum.

we all have seen the online sites what all they have is
just banners and links and pretty much nothing else. These
sites don't do well at all, they just clutter up the world
wide web. And quite often these sites don't get updated
after a awhile and just die a quick death.

Some people seem to think once you have a website up an
running, the work stops and that is all you have to do.
But half of the battle is to keep it updated and have it
keep driving more traffic to it at the same time. That is
online marketing at its best.

The process of promoting your website to the masses of
people makes for a great online business opportunity. We
must remember that marketing never stops as long as your
website is online. Come up with new ways to get more
traffic. Possibly an online affiliate program for others to
join related to your product, or start a forum on your
topic and just talk about it in depth, the many ways are
limitless. This is what the best online business
opportunity is all about!

How to Make an Income from Home

How to Make an Income from Home
The possibilities of working from home online have
increased tenfold over the past few years, let alone the
past decade. Everyday there are people just like you making
the switch to working out of their household to make an
income. If you are looking for a quick and easy start into
the online money-making world, then online marketplaces and
auction sites are the places to go.

Online auction sites are among the most popular on the
internet, with eBay leading the way. Selling products on
these sites is one of the fastest and easiest ways you can
start to make money working online from home, as well as
one of the most popular. There are thousands of companies
that use eBay to sell an extremely wide variety of things,
and just as many people who do it on their own as a
full-time job.

It has proven time and time again that it is a great way to
start a successful home business, and it shows no signs of
slowing down or going away. The best part about this "job"
is that it is easy to get started.

All you have to do is look around your house and find the
things you don't want or need anymore. Then go to an
auction site such as eBay or Amazon and set up your seller
account, creating an auction for each item you want to
sell. Once you've sold all the extra items from your own
house, you can expand and keep earning money at home by
getting family and friends to give you stuff they want to
throw out.

If you don't have friends or family with things to get rid
of or run out of things to sell, try visiting yard sales,
flea markets, and swap meets. Pick up inexpensive items and
then sell those at online auctions. The more you sell, the
more your demand goes up, and the more you can expand.

Obviously, there are an almost countless number of ways
people make money working online, but this method of doing
so has been popular for over a decade, making it a safe
route to go. And as mentioned earlier, there aren't many
more proven cost-effective ways people make money online at
home, especially ways that are as easy as online auction
sites. If you are bored of your current job, or just want
to make some extra income from home, then this is a solid
place to start.

How To Avoid Affiliate Marketing Scams

How To Avoid Affiliate Marketing Scams
The best way to avoid affiliate marketing scams is to learn
about the type of scams that are possible on the Net. The
saying, "Forewarned is forearmed" is perfectly applicable
here. Only when you know what you should expect you would
be able to avoid the pitfalls involved. Therefore,
education on what types of scams have been identified until
present is very important.

You Need To Play It Safe To Avoid Affiliate Marketing Scams

For best results, when you are in doubt about an affiliate
program do not take the offer up. Most of us ignore the
warnings that come from within us. All of us have an inner
radar system that warns us loud and clear when something is
just not right. However, most people learn to suppress this
warning signal often with disastrous results. Therefore,
the first thing is to listen your gut feeling. If you get
"that feeling" drop the offer.

To be doubly sure, go for only those affiliates which have
been recommended by close friends (who have already tried
and tested it) or affiliates which have been around for at
least five year and gained a positive reputation in the
market.

Stick with the big named Marketers as besides security,
these affiliate programs are likely to give you the best
terms you could get, plus a free website and some tools.

The Most Popular Affiliate Marketing Scams

1. Greed is the main helper of affiliate marketing scams.
Greed and need make a person blind to reason and this is
how most affiliate scams operate. They paint a rosy picture
where they make earning money look like child's play. They
make false claims about amazing sums of money which make
you feel greedy for the income. In that moment you got that
feeling, you are captured by the affiliate marketing scam.
In case you do think the affiliate which promises you
riches overnight is genuine, just run a search on the
Internet and see whether this company is registered with
BBB (Better Business Bureau); if not, do not trust it.

2. Desperation is the next helper for the fraudulent
Marketer. Are you in need of cash urgently? Do you want
continuous streams of income without any effort? Do you
want to quit your job and work from home? These are the
questions to which each one of us have positive answers.
When you are down on cash or suffocated by your job, be
very careful on what advertisement you believe and choose
to try. It is possible you are stepping into a trap of
affiliate marketing scams which instead of giving you
money, would demand whatever little money you have
remaining on you.

3. Money begets money. Most of us believe in this adage and
we feel that if the investment has good prospects, you
should make a payment. However, some scams imply that if
you want a large payout you need to invest a lot. The
problem is that the moment you make an investment, they
disappear. Do not pay any large sum of money on the
Internet in the hope you will get more. In fact,
qualitative affiliate programs would enroll you without any
payment, while they would host your website for free and
also provide you the latest tools to market the product.

If you are careful and do your research you will be able to
choose only the good affiliate programs that are out there
and sidestep the affiliate marketing scams of which there
are plenty.

Should You Stay or Should You Go? When to Leave Your MLM Company

Should You Stay or Should You Go? When to Leave Your MLM Company
We've all faced this question at some time in our network
marketing or MLM experience. For some this will be the
first time they've even read anything about this subject as
it might be the first time they've come to this crossroads
in their business. The answer is not easy but does have
specific elements that should be considered when trying to
make this decision.

If your sponsor disappeared on you just after signing up,
that is not a good enough reason to leave. Why do I say
this? Because your sponsor is not a deal breaker when it
comes to your success in business. You always have the
option of tracking upline until you find someone who is
willing to work with you and has a viable interest in your
success.

Your company may be making changes in their structure,
culture, comp plan, or over all direction that isn't in
alignment with your personal goals and ethics. This is a
challenge because you must remember that this is "your"
business and you are in it to make a profit. If the
company's decisions and changes conflict with your purpose
and success, then it is time to move on.

Many times people become disenchanted with their company in
what they are teaching is not working for you. There may
be a conflict of ethics in how they want you to go about
your marketing or you're just not making any profitable
progress. The old saying, "just keep doing what you're
doing and don't quit," is not very helpful much less
comforting. You're not in a home based business to give
charitable contributions each month with your auto ship and
time.

Now comes the most important and possibly most convicting
point of this article. No one trains you to approach this
question or dilemma. Why should they as they don't want
you to even think about leaving their company for some
other business opportunity. If you're lucky enough to have
a true mentor in the business, they may work with you in
going through this process. Not so if the mentor is in the
same company as you as they see you as a loss of income.

YOU! Yes YOU are the most important part of this equation.
"What do you mean I'M the most important part?" "I'm
doing everything I can to make this work and none of it is
MY fault." Oh contra ire my friend. It's always about
YOU. You made the choice of companies and you did do your
research and due diligence, didn't you? You learned about
the company and your sponsor from the different websites
and interviews, didn't you? AND, have you actually worked
the business as you were trained and put in the true effort
to reach your vision and goals? How do you answer these
questions?

OK! You've made the decision that what is going on in your
home based business isn't working and there needs to be a
change. If any of the above fits your situations then you
have a good basis to change companies. If you are
convinced you've done all that was asked of you and you
have put in the money, time, and effort, then maybe it is
time for a change.

Just make sure you aren't "creating" a reason for a change
and that you have true business facts to base your
decision. Just being dissatisfied about your results is
not enough reason without having accomplished the above in
answering the personal questions. There are always bumps
in the road, challenges unforeseen, and circumstances
beyond your control. Especially don't be listening to the
nay-sayers and dream stealers.

If you are convinced this company is no longer right for
you then you need to make a decision and take positive
action on it. Never burn your bridges behind you. Always
be professional and polite when dealing with your current
upline or sponsor regarding your choice to change. This
business is funny and you never know when you may need
their friendship, advice, or inspiration later on in your
MLM career.

One last thing, you have to decide right now if network
marketing or MLM are right for you. If you really believe
that this is the vehicle for you to pursue your visions and
goals, then by all means start looking for another more
suitable company.

One final thought. Don't be too worried what other people
think about your decision. After all it is YOUR decision
and for your benefit personally and financially. It is
purely a business decision that you are committed to follow
through for your success. Don't make some big announcement
on your forums or personal pages about you changing
companies. Simply and quietly move in your new direction
and let people find out as they may.

I hope this has given you some insight into what is
involved in making a decision to stay or go with your
current company. More times than not it is a difficult
decision but in the end it is all up to YOU.

Don't Forget About Search Engine Traffic

Don't Forget About Search Engine Traffic
How much time do you spend at your favorite social website.
I am talking about sites like My Space, Facebook, Twitter
and so on.

I am not a person who spends much time on social
networking. I do blog and social bookmark, but I hardly
ever go to a Social site such as Facebook or Twitter. I do
still enjoy the search engine traffic I get however. I
happen to believe that search engines still do matter to
your Internet business.

Here's why!

When I look at my Google Analytics stats I see that over
half of my traffic comes every day from search engines. Now
granted I have spent a lot of time in the past couple of
years mastering search engine optimization techniques and
targeting keyword phrases in the forms of article
marketing, inner web pages, and blog posts.

What is interesting is how many of the these still continue
to bring me traffic long after I have initially written
them. I have found that you can literally be on page 1 of
Google for hundreds of keywords if you do it properly. And
once you get there you can stay if you are targeting lesser
searched keywords. These are phrases that contain several
keywords. Sometimes they are referred to as longtail
keyword phrases.

The problem I have with social networking is the time that
it takes to do it on a daily basis. I know people who do
very well in social networks such as MySpace, Facebook and
Direct Matches. They personally relate to this type of
marketing and have learned how to do it successfully.

This seems to be a harder way to develop long term traffic
however. If you are not active you are going to get
forgotten.

It could be a great way to make contacts for joint ventures
or network marketing businesses so you have to decide what
your goals are with your business.

However, in the long run it still is beneficial to have
traffic coming to you via search engines. Google, Yahoo,
and MSN are just too large of companies to ignore. One way
that does work are article marketing.

Getting a lot of articles online in the top directories can
really pay off in traffic and search engine bait. Of course
you have to learn how to write articles or hirer someone to
write for you.

However you do it figuring out ways to enjoy some of this
search engine traffic is good for your business.

Is Network Marketing A Good Business To Join

Is Network Marketing A Good Business To Join
There are many different ways to make money on the Internet
today. One of those is network marketing. In this article,
let's take a look at whether network marketing is a good
business for you to join and how you can be successful with
it.

One of the biggest problems network marketers face is how
to recruit new distributors. In the old days of MLM, you
were told to make a list of everyone that you knew and
start contacting them.

This meant that you are contacting your friends, relatives,
business associates, neighbors, and so on. Many MLM
businesses told you to use a curiosity approach when
inviting them to view your new business.

This worked initially because nobody had any idea what was
going on. Eventually, over the years this method does not
work anymore because people grew weary of what they were
being asked to do.

Today the Internet is automating much of the recruiting
process. Depending on the product line that you represent
it is possible to develop a worldwide business in a short
period of time using Internet marketing.

The smart network marketer creates a landing page where
they give away a free report describing ways to make money
online. They then promote this landing page and every time
a visitor comes they are asked to give their contact
information in exchange for the report.

The way to properly make this work is to have a prewritten
series of messages set up in an auto responder. In these
you are describing a little bit of how to make money online
with network marketing. Of course in your signature file
you have a link to the business opportunity that you
represent.

Doing this accomplishes two things.

1. It allows you to build a mailing list for future
follow-up on the other products you might sell.

2. It gives you a way to promote your network marketing
opportunity in a nonthreatening way.

Using this strategy we can say that network marketing is a
good business to join because there are people making money
in it for the first time in there life. No longer do you
have to contact friends and relatives to build your
business.

What you do have to do is develop Internet marketing skills
and learn how to get traffic to your landing page. You also
have to know how to build a landing page or hire someone to
do it for you.

This is a few tips about network marketing today. It is a
worthwhile business model to follow and develop another
income stream for almost anyone.

How to Make Money Blogging

How to Make Money Blogging
People become bloggers for various reasons. Bloggers can be
in for some serious cash but there are those that are
disinterested in the idea of making money this way, their
interest lies only in sharing their own ideas and thoughts
with the rest of the world. There are plenty of stories
about those who have made it big and creating six figure
incomes from this.

The modern day blogger has dozens of ways to make money
from their blogging efforts, especially for entrepreneurial
types. You may choose to sell other people's products by
becoming an affiliate or you can sell advertising spaces.
You can enjoy the endless possibilities of earning money
through your blogs. But you will need one magic ingredient
for it to come together - the 'big T'. What is the big T?
Well, its 'traffic'; if your blog site doesn't have enough
traffic, you will not earn any money.

Here are some monetization options that you can embark in,
supposing that you already have a great traffic. If you
have just started out, Pay Per Post and Review are
excellent choices. These programs do not depend on click
through rates, traffic or other factors to use them. They
are excellent programs for busy bloggers A good way to make
money from blogging, and a regular source of income, would
be writing a review for others.

You can almost guarantee a regular income stream by
choosing this option. Do spend some time looking into these
points beforehand. The fastest way to failure is to make a
post when you have a review to make. Too many posts that
are sponsored will lose you regular readers; only write
reviews that are relevant to your core subject(s).

If the rewards are related to the reader's purchases and
involvement, then you have more options available to you.
Placing affiliate links are something that springs to mind.
You can use anchor links to blend the links into your
existing content. If credit repair is your niche, then use
links to point to products that are related. Expect to
yield worthwhile returns in no time at all. Key players
include NeverBlueAds, AzoogleAds, Share-a-Sale, and
Commission Junction; you can find lucrative offers by
visiting them online.

There are also content based advertising for those who
prefer less direct methods. This program will use the
contents to generate ads. The most popular programs
utilizing such systems are Yahoo's advertising and Google's
Adsense.

People who use them are certainly making some good money.
You can make money every time your blogs gets a visitor and
therefore, those ads will increase your income. Your
visitors will get some values from those ads as well.

So forget your hesitancy, just choose which money making
idea that appeals to you by selecting the ones that you
believe will work. If you want to be a successful blogger,
you must have the right attitude and qualities. You can
make a good income using your talent. Be a blogger today
and start using your time and talent to your advantage.

Do You Need Network Marketing Help

Do You Need Network Marketing Help
With any aspect of owning and operating a business,
sometimes people can get confused and scared and need a
little help. The problem with that is that people either
don't like asking for help or don't know where to get the
kind of help that they need. Marketing and network
marketing especially can be one of the most difficult parts
about running a business. You want the business to be so
successful that you would do anything you can to get it off
the ground and network marketing one of those things that
can help. This article will give some network marketing
help.

Teamwork is probably one of the most crucial aspects of
network marketing and owning a business as well. Teamwork
is so important to a business because it is hard for people
to build a network by themselves. It's very beneficial to
have different people from different backgrounds, different
interests and different thinking, and that can lead to a
successful business.

Having a good team foundation can lead to creating
different ideas, different products, different services,
different ways to run a business and different ways to
become successful in network marketing. Make sure you pick
your team as best as you can, you know that old saying,
"the team is only as strong as their weakest member".

When in the process of network marketing you want to avoid
talking to everybody you can about your business. This is
just wasted time that can be spent talking to people who
already are interested in the types of things your business
has to offer. You want to find a target audience or niche
and talk to them about your products and services and get
them excited about it. Finding these niches will save a
lot of time that you can use focusing on other aspects of
your business.

Lastly one of the best things you can do when you are in
need or network marketing help is to find a mentor. You
want to be able to model your business and how you run it
from someone that has been successful at doing what they
do. If you can come into contact with that person, it can
be beneficial to receive tips and other kinds of help from
them. The bottom line is that if you want your business to
be successful you need to network market it. If you are
caught in a slump and need network marketing help, go out
and look for it.

Tips for Starting a Home Based Internet Business

Tips for Starting a Home Based Internet Business
Online website builders are much more popular and usually
easier to use. Many hosting companies include free online
site builders as a part of their hosting offers. Online
advertising is not a function of elaborate guesswork and a
myriad of hits and misses. Like the traditional offline
version, online advertising must also follow some basic
rules.

Affiliate businesses, online advertising opportunities, and
other ventures name it, the Internet got it. Such online
business opportunities require specific knowledge, skills,
and expertise. Affiliate marketing is the process of
promoting the goods or services of another person in
exchange for getting a commission every time that one of
those goods or services is sold. Affiliate marketing in
this way can be a very easy way for a person to get
something done and when it comes right down to it the low
cost and easy time commitments that affiliate marketing
brings to the table are exactly what people need when they
are starting up a business.

Free to join Survey sites which is an easy way to make
money online. Drop shipping and wholesale sites for you to
start your own online store or maybe make money on the
auctions like eBay. Free Websites is a free hosting service.

Searching them out is a great way to start your home
business networking marketing. Searching for data entry
jobs from home is easy when you know where to look on the
internet. The issue comes when the jobs advertised are not
really good.

Anyone can sell anything on eBay. Open an account, list
your product, and wait for the bids to start coming in.
Anyone can do that and many people do. But most never, ever
achieve their goals.

Marketing on the internet, if you've never done it before,
will require education and time for it to work. Because of
this, you should first be prepared for criticism from those
around you. Marketing is a huge part of the foundation of
any successful business. Overlooked, it can be the reason.
Marketing tools and strategies for an online business are
also less expensive. You will be surprised to find how many
are free, including creating your own web presence.

Millions of people around the world have had the dream of
finding the perfect home based business and being able to
fire their boss. Starting a home based internet business
can be a run away success if the website comes up within
the first 20 results of organic searches. Millionaires the
world over refer to Think and Grow Rich it as the starting
place for wealth in a person's thoughts.

Building theme-based websites is my long-term strategy.
Theme based websites need time to grow and if done right
they can serve as good income generators for you in the
future. Build residual and leveraged income to create real
wealth. All it needs is you!

Optimizing your website really is easy. You can do it
yourself and once you've learned the tricks you really are
the best person to do it. Some websites were made to filter
through all the "noise" and share with you tips and ideas
on how to really make money on the Internet. Having your
own website helps the conversion rate of your traffic but
is not required. Many people just sign up for a free blog
and promote the programs right from there.

Ask anyone who has built a successful business and you'll
hear the same. Like everything else, your chances of
success at managing a home-based business can be
dramatically enhanced if you have the right resources.
Sticking to your plan is essential for success.

7 Tips To Add the Right Web Designer to Your Team

7 Tips To Add the Right Web Designer to Your Team
As a business owner, you understand that a web site is a
critical part of your marketing, and a web designer is a
critical component of your internet marketing team and
strategy.

It's fortunate you don't have to know everything there is
about web site design and maintenance in order to
effectively manage your internet presence. But, you do need
to know enough to ask the right questions of a potential
web site designer so you're comfortable with your choice.
Referrals from friends and colleagues are a great way to
start the process but you still need to do your own
research to confirm that it's a good match for you.

There are two sides to outsourcing web design. The first
is understanding what you want and need in web design. You
need to think about these elements before starting your
search for a web designer.

Once you have a good idea of what you want for your web
site, you then need to research the technical, marketing
and soft skill qualifications of the web designers you are
considering. Here are the top 7 things to consider when
hiring a web designer:

1. Your first decision to make: do you prefer to work with
a freelancer or a small design firm? Both should be able
to provide you with more personalized attention than a
large firm. When working with a freelancer, you will want
to know if they have the necessary resources to cover all
of your needs. For example, will they be able to assist
you with finding hosting? Do they provide site promotion
and web site maintenance? If not, you will have to look
elsewhere for help in these areas. A small firm should
have a range of services to offer. A freelancer should
have resources she partners with so the entire process is
seamless to you.

2. Before starting to look for a designer, your second
decision is to determine how comfortable you are working
with someone virtually. When working virtually, it's
helpful to have a fast PC, a high-speed internet
connection, and at least a 17" monitor that shows true
colors. Even if you work with a local firm, you will still
need to do some work virtually as in-person meetings can
become costly and not necessarily an efficient use of time.

3. Now that you've made your first two decisions, it's time
to begin looking for a designer and reviewing their work.
Referrals from associates are a good place to start. Also,
check with associations or membership organizations you
belong to and determine if they have a resource list. As
you are surfing the internet, make notes about sites you
like and what you like about them. I use a spreadsheet to
capture information about sites I like.

4. As you search for designers to interview, you will want
to have a process for reviewing their site. Some of the
questions you will want to ask yourself about their site
are: Is it easy to navigate? Can you find almost
everything you want to know just by going through the web
site? Do the pages load quickly? Is there anything about
the site you find annoying? Write down any questions you
have about the designer's website and why she created the
design the way she did. For example, if the pages load
slowly - ask why.

5. Review the designer's website portfolio. Does it show a
variety of styles? Has she done work for different types
of businesses? It's not necessary to have a designer who
specializes in your field, as a good designer will be able
to design for any type of business.

6. Many designers provide testimonials and/or references on
their website. Contact the references and get additional
information about their experience working with the
designer. What did they like about working with her? Did
she complete the project on time? How often did she
communicate? Was she easy to work with and would they work
with her again?

7. Now it's time to talk to your short list of designers.
I recommend you start with a list of 3-5 to interview and
ask them the same questions: Will they provide a
scope/timeline document for the project and estimated cost?
Is the project quote on an hourly or project basis? Can
you review a copy of their standard contract in advance?
How many revisions and reviews are included in the project
cost? How are project changes defined and handled? What
things will they do to make your web site an effective
marketing tool?

Things you need to consider as your questions are answered:
Can the designer communicate technical aspects in a
non-technical manner? Are you comfortable with how they
respond to your questions? Do they ask you good questions,
and is it clear they listen to your response?

A website is a good investment in the marketing of your
business. Find a website designer who can become an
effective part of your marketing team.

3 Internet Based Affiliate Marketing Shortcuts

3 Internet Based Affiliate Marketing Shortcuts
Because Internet based affiliate marketing is one of the
hottest ways to make money online many people are getting
started that way. What I thought we would do is take a
quick look at three Internet based affiliate marketing
shortcuts that you can use to increase your chances of
being successful as an affiliate marketer.

1. Be sure and choose a niche to represent that people are
currently spending money in. Your goal is to not sell
affiliate marketing products because you are in love with
them, but because they will solve people's problems, and
there is a market for them.

Google Trends is one place you can keep track of what's
going on in the world. Clickbank offers an excellent
affiliate program that includes statistics to give you an
idea of how certain products are performing in comparison
to other ones.

If you can find something to sell that you enjoy that is a
bit of a bonus, but the most important thing is selling
products that people need and would have an interest in.

2. Start your own website or blog. This is important
because you need to build a mailing list, and most
replicated affiliate websites will not allow you to do
that. Therefore on your website or blog, you will need a
sign up form where you give away something of value.

This is a very basic concept, yet most affiliate marketers
do not do it. You are going to be spending a lot of time
and energy driving traffic to the products you're trying to
sell, and most people will not buy on the first visit.

Therefore, it is to your benefit to get their contact
information for future follow up. Once you master this
strategy you will always be able to create sales in the
future just by mailing to the list of names that you have
developed.

3. Once you get your system in place you need to spend 95%
of your time marketing your website. This is the hardest
part and therefore this is where most affiliates will quit.
If you can get traffic to your website you will build your
list, and you will make sales.

Basic business 101 will tell you that traffic equals
visitors, and visitors equal sales.

This is not rocket science and should be encouraging to you
to know that once you learn to master these three Internet
based affiliate marketing shortcuts, you can make as much
money as you want on the internet.

What People Aren't Saying About Social Media

What People Aren't Saying About Social Media
Social Media, Social Networking, Leveraging Web 2.0 - it's
known by many names and it's all the rage!

Let me start by saying I am a fan of social media, I
personally choose to participate in social media. However
when you read about social media, you often only hear one
side of things - the message is clear - Participate or miss
out! And while I do believe that is true, I think it's not
always that simple.

There is so much to read, so many different opinions. It
can be overwhelming. First you have to decide which sites
to participate in and then you have to create your account
and learn how to participate. It's often confusing.

I am not saying this is an excuse not to participate. In
fact I am writing this article to provide some helpful tips
so you can participate. .

I think attention to the details is really important, so I
want to cover all the small items that people aren't really
talking much about.

Facebook: I started on Facebook as a way to connect with
old friends. I had all kinds of games and the crazy apps
(applications) that Facebook offers. When I started
networking for business I realized that all my business
connections were going to have access to all of this
personal information - photos, wall posts, they'd know
which Sex and the City character I was most like (if you've
spent any time on Facebook you've likely seen this app on
people's profile).

I understand that using social media to open up and connect
with people is one of the benefits. Allowing prospective
clients to get to know you helps build trust and
relationships.

But do I really want people to see every little silly app I
mess around with? Do I want them to see the crazy pics
from high school that have been posted?

Ultimately I decided to clean off some of the silliness
that wasn't really important to me and I left the rest. I
figured if I'm opening the door and letting people peek in,
there is no point in censoring anything. So I jumped in
and started adding "Friends" that were business connections.

Of course if you are only using Facebook for business, then
you don't have to think about these issues. If you do plan
to use it for both - just spend a few minutes thinking
about what you do and don't want to share.

Twitter: Make sure you think about what name is best for
you. I chose EcomBuffet (my company name) but have now
realized that people are searching for me by my full name
and not finding me. I would have been better off choosing
my name. Not a major issue, but something to consider if
you haven't picked your name on Twitter yet.

There are varying opinions about how often you can Twitter
(or tweet) and not annoy people. Some people say once per
hour, others say once a day. There is no hard rule about
this. You do want to consider it carefully though. If you
tweet too often, people may get annoyed and stop following
you all together, or just remove their cell phone updates.
That means when you have important updates, people aren't
going to get them at all or as quickly as they could have.
You want to find a balance. For me, I have been tweeting
about once a day. On some days when I have more to share,
I may tweet a few times day. Every time you tweet, ask
yourself if it is really information people will want to
know. If you are sure every tweet is useful and serves a
purpose then you can tweet a little more often. If it's
fluff and all self-promotional, then you should probably do
it less (or not all some may say).

Social bookmarking buttons: There are so many buttons you
can add to your articles for people to bookmark or vote for
your content. Digg, StumbleUpon, RSS Feeds, TwitThis etc -
My concern is that we are adding so many different options
and people become so accustomed to seeing them that they
ignore them. And with so many buttons people may get
confused and just ignore them. I don't know what the
solution is for this yet. I previously wasn't using any of
these buttons. I realize I am missing out because of that,
so I am now going to selectively use them. I don't have a
perfect plan in mind, I am just going to play with using
some of the more popular ones and see what happens.

MySpace versus Facebook: There is a lot of confusion about
the MySpace versus Facebook issue. The general consensus
is that MySpace has been trashed and isn't worth the time.
That isn't entirely true. There are still people making
money off MySpace. The key to remember is that MySpace is
a younger crowd with a lower income and Facebook has a
higher income and is older. The best thing you can do is
study both - see what others in your industry are doing,
see how you see yourself fitting in and most importantly,
come up with a plan. So many people just jump in and set
up a profile and then don't know what to do next. Just
being there doesn't mean the money is going to pour in. You
need to engage people, you need to come up with something
that people will want to see, hear or read.

Is it too late to join now? The answer is no! Studies show
that most of the social media sites are growing in
popularity and traffic and participation is increasing
month over month. Just remember, the rules change as these
sites evolve, so be sure you are current on what is and
isn't acceptable participation.

Check it out; see how you think you can fit into the space.
But remember its not all about how you will benefit. If
you don't have something to offer (information, resources,
insights, news etc) then people aren't going to be
interested.

How does all of this really help me make money? Consumers
are much more educated and demand much more than they used
to. We are all hit with so many sales messages daily; we
start to tune them out. What used to work doesn't work (or
at least not as well). In order for your business to
succeed and grow, you need to adapt.

People are looking for more information and companies they
can trust. Selling has become more about creating trust
and building relationships.

Social media helps you connect and establish trust. Any
one social media activity may not lead directly to a sale
in any given moment, but it helps you establish a presence
online; and in your prospects mind. If you get yourself
out there and share information, you will increase your
following and have a base of people that trust you that you
can market to.

That covers it for now. Keep the questions coming in!

What To Expect From Your MLM Sponsor

What To Expect From Your MLM Sponsor
There are so many home business opportunities available now
that it can be overwhelming. Of course, there are some
excellent opportunities as well as some that are less than
desirable. It depends upon what you're looking for in a
business.

Many times, affiliates fail in a home business, not because
of the opportunity itself, but rather because of the
sponsor or the person that brought them into the business.
With so much out there, we can sometimes be mislead by
slick marketing and the promise that we too can make it big
in a home business in little or no time at all!

Be wary when someone says that they have a "fully automated
system." As attractive as that sounds to the individual
who doesn't want to talk to people, it's unrealistic. Most
home business opportunities are customer based. That means
you have to talk to people at some point. Even if people
are coming to your website to purchase a single item,
customer service may have to get involved because of
disputes or returns. When you sponsor or sign up someone
to join you in your opportunity, that person is expecting
to be trained. They have every right to expect your time
and expertise. After all, you said you would teach them to
do what you do and be successful.

But oftentimes, people who are only doing their opportunity
for the money forget about the people they bring in. They
are only interested in making the initial commission when
they sign people up. What happens next is anyone's guess.
The new member of the team feels they have been mislead and
are often left to flounder and then ultimately fail and
quit.

If you are considering home business and are looking for a
sponsor, here are some tips to keep in mind when you are
researching.

First and foremost, DO YOUR DUE DILLIGENCE. Don't come
into a business after talking to just one person. How do
you know you're getting the whole picture? Talk to several
people in the same business and see what they are doing to
become successful.

Can they provide you with the necessary training to get you
started? Ask them to show you their training techniques.
How many marketing techniques can they show you? Can they
answer all your questions? Are they knowledgeable about
the opportunity? If they talk around you and evade your
questions, that should raise flags in your mind.

In doing your research it's not necessary to ask someone to
show you their paycheck. It's unprofessional. In essence,
you are asking for a guarantee from that person that they
can make you successful. And just because they are
successful does not mean that YOU will be successful.

There are no guarantees! If you are looking for a
guarantee, then you may be better off in a 9-5 JOB where
you receive a paycheck biweekly. In addition, if someone
does show you their paycheck, how do you know it's real?
Anything can be simulated.

It really doesn't matter if they are the top income earner
in their business or not. If they can show you how to
market by offering you resources and their time, that's
almost better than signing up the top person in the company.

Here's what I mean. Yes the top earners in any business
have big teams. It shows they are successful at closing.
But can they give you the time you need with them to help
get you started? Sometimes their team is so big that it's
hard to reach them. You can get lost in the shuffle.

So don't count out the little guys in the business. They
may not be number one, but if they teach you, you may be
better off signing up with them.

If you haven't gotten it by now, what I'm trying to
emphasize is that you MUST do your research on the company
as well as the sponsor. Ultimately it's your decision.
Sign up with someone you are comfortable with and have a
good report with.

Back End Selling For Your Affiliate Program

Back End Selling For Your Affiliate Program
Affiliate marketing programs have become very popular in
the past few years. All of the stakeholders in affiliate
programs can benefit. For instance, if the affiliate refers
a visitor to the website of the merchant, then the
affiliate will earn a percentage of the sale. Additionally,
the merchant will make money from the same sales and will
not have to spend a lot on marketing and promotion.

The ultimate goal for both affiliate and merchant is to
maximize their income potential. Therefore, both parties
should consider incorporating back end selling into their
business. Back end selling is a well known and proven
strategy for affiliate programs, and it can greatly
increase your overall income.

Allow me to now define what we mean when we talk about back
end. Back end selling is any sale that occurs after the
initial sale has happened. After a visitor purchases a
product, another product can be presented and hopefully
sold to the same visitor. The sale of any secondary product
such as this is referred to as a back end product.

When a customer buys a product from you, this means that
they already trust you. For this reason, there is a good
possibility that they will buy again, if they are presented
with a tempting offer. Selling a back end product is
actually much easier that making the initial sale.

Back end selling has long been a great sales booster for
both online companies and traditional "brick and mortar"
companies alike. When the customer is happy with their
initial purchase, they will assume the other products on
offer are high in quality as well. This philosophy will
keep your customer purchasing again and again.

In the overall process of back end sales, you want to find
products to sell which are related to the first one. These
secondary products should ideally compliment the first
product. With this in mind, you want to convince your
customer that they will be better off if they add secondary
products to their primary purchase.

One of the most successful strategies for online back end
selling is to capture your customer's email address through
an opt in form. In this way, you can periodically send an
email with an enticing offer. In fact, you should
incorporate your autoresponder into this process. With the
autoresponder, your back end sales program will be
extremely low maintenance. Just make sure that you have an
opt out link at the bottom of each email.

The technique of online back end selling has created my
wealthy individuals. In fact, a back end sales program will
typically generate much more income than the primary
product sales. When used correctly, it is an excellent
compliment to your affiliate program.

Your primary affiliate marketing program is meant to draw
in new customers and create the initial sales. The back end
program will build loyalty among these customers. Your
primary sales will get your business started, whereas the
back end sales will make your business flourish.

In summary, every affiliate marketer should seriously
consider adding back end products to their business
structure. With the combination of primary and back end
selling, your income potential is truly immense. Good luck
with your affiliate program and, in particular, your back
end component.

number of things you can do to further progress it.
Obviously you want to make it as interactive as
possible.Part of having success on the internet is being
social and interacting with people as much as possible. One
way you can you can interact with the visitors of your site
is to set up a blog.

Having a blog can be a great way to socialize and network
with people on the internet.Too many entrepreneurs tend to
hide behind their web site. While it is important you
invest a great deal of time into your web site, it is even
more important you show people your true
personality.Blogging gives you the opportunity to do just
that.

Just as you have to market your social news site, you will
want to market your blog as well. This allows people to know
about the blog and what it has to offer. You want people to
know that your site has more to offer than the same
repetitive content you see all over the internet. And having
fresh and enticing content can be a great way to get people
to come to your blog.

There are a few ways you can go about blog marketing.
First, write as many articles as possible and submit them
to article directories. As mentioned, there is a lot of
repetitive content on the internet.By writing articles, you

thought and idea.

The first two ways you can market your blog will not cost
you a penny. If you are looking to get immediate exposure to
your blog, you may want to consider paid advertising. You

Intellectual Property: Why "Borrowing" Web Content Is A Really Bad Idea

Intellectual Property: Why "Borrowing" Web Content Is A Really Bad Idea
We've all been there before.

There's some graphics or content (or even website legal
documents) on the web that you like... there's no copyright
notice associated with it.

You'd like to take it and incorporate it into your site,
right?

It's so tempting, but DON'T do it!

Copyright Infringement Issues

Under the US Copyright Act, there is a principle some refer
to as the "rule of automatic copyright". This rule provides
that once an author or artist:

* creates a work of authorship (text, graphics, content),

* that is fixed in a tangible medium of expression (can be
perceived by a person even if a machine or device is
required to do so),

* copyright automatically vests in the author or artist
(regardless of whether the work has a copyright notice or
whether it is registered with the Copyright Office).

So, you need to secure the appropriate permissions before
using the graphics or content. Failure to do so, can cost
you dearly.

An illustrative case is the case of Photo Resource Hawaii,
Inc. v. American Hawaii Travel, Inc., No. 07-00134 DAE-LAK
(Dist. Hawaii Dec. 12, 2007). In this case, the defendant
never had rights to the content, and he was ordered to pay
$48,000 in statutory damages, $5,145.55 in attorney's fees,
and $386 in court costs.

The same result is true if you had permission to use the
material, but the permission expires or terminates. Even if
use was originally with permission, use after expiration or
termination will get you sued. In the case of Chase Jarvis
v. K2 Inc., No. CO3-1265Z (W. Dist. Washington Dec. 12,
2003), the defendant was nailed for infringement because
his content license had expired.

Ditto For "Borrowing" Someone Else's Website Documents

You realize that it's past time for you to add the website
disclaimers and documents to make your site legally
compliant.

So, what to do? You consider "borrowing" legal agreements
from another website. After all, it's there for the taking.
Right?

Wrong! For starters, it may be copyright infringement to
copy the other guy's documents without permission. That's
reason enough not to do it.

The other reason is that just as with most things... one
size does not fit all. You should realize that each
ecommerce business is unique. The other guy's policies
regarding the collection, use, sharing, storing, and
security of customer data most certainly will not match
yours.

Additionally... the other guy's assumptions may be
different.

For example, the other guy's site may not incorporate
blogs, forums, or chat rooms. If your site does incorporate
a blog, then his documents will not have the DMCA notice
(and you will not qualify for the "safe harbor" from
copyright liability; you'll be liable without even knowing
it). Even if his site incorporates a blog, do you want to
bet that it has the DMCA notice in proper form?

Another example... I recommend that you assume that you
will need broad rights to collect and use passive
information from site visitors, so I recommend that you
reserve broad rights to collect passive information from
them - even if you do not actually utilize all the methods
you reserve rights for at the outset, you probably will
later - if the other guy's privacy statement does not make
the same assumption, and only reserves rights for a
relatively narrow range of collection methods, you may be
in breach of your Privacy Policy and not even know it.

Finally, your website disclaimers and documents and the
other elements of website compliance must work together as
a system, so documents are not interchangeable. For example:

* your Terms of Use and Customer Agreement relate to your
DMCA Registration Form and to your disclaimers,

* disclaimers that are merely notices in your Terms of Use
carry over to your customer agreement where they become a
part of a binding contract,

* notices in your Terms of Use regarding the location of
your site's servers become critical in terms of your
Privacy Policy, especially for personal information
transferred from users located in the European Union,

* and so on.

Conclusion

In summary, do it right. Don't cut corners with something
so important as your website content and website documents.
Use your own content, documents, policies, and rules for
your website.

Only then will you have the confidence and peace of mind
that you will not be faced with a demand letter, or worse
-- a lawsuit -- from the content owner.

Find A Good Network Marketing Compensation Plans

Find A Good Network Marketing Compensation Plans
Network marketing can be a very difficult thing to
understand. There are so many things that can go into
network marketing that some people might find it
overwhelming. There are so many types of compensation
plans that are offered with network marketing that finding
the one that is right for your business can be difficult.
Different network marketing companies have different plans
that can make the whole thing seem even more complicated.
This article will talk about some of the different network
marketing compensation plans that are available and which
ones are the best.

The first kind of network marketing compensation plans is
the binary plan. The Binary network marketing compensation
plan has two different types of branches. Each of these
branches are in a different business. The ultimate goal of
the Binary network marketing compensation plan is that each
branch sells a pre-determined minimum volume. If one
branch sells a lot while the other one doesn't sell
anything or a very small amount, you could lose a certain
amount of compensation.

The next kind of network marketing compensation plan is the
step plan. The Step network marketing compensation plan is
the one used the most by the different network marketing
companies. Promotion occurs each month depending on how
many sales are made.

The third and fourth kids of network marketing compensation
plans are the breakaway and matrix plans. With the
breakaway network marketing compensation plan you can break
away and become an independent business when it reaches a
certain level. With the matrix breakaway network marketing
compensation plan a computer assigns a person a certain
number that they have to work with. The computer decides
the position that the member is assigned to, but can be
overruled.

The final network marketing compensation plan is the
uni-level plan. With the uni-level plan there is no
promotion. The network marketing company you become
involved in pays you a certain fixed amount as you as you
sell the minimum amount agreed upon.

When becoming involved with a network marketing
compensation plan you want to make sure that it is worth
your while. You want to find a plan that can help you make
money with as little effort on your part as possible. The
easier it is for you to make money with the network
marketing compensation plan, the better that plan is. Once
you find that perfect network marketing compensation plan,
success is right around the corner.
