Internet Business Made Easy

Internet Business Made Easy
Affiliate programs are a great way to make money online. If
you choose the right affiliate program. That it why it is
extremely important that you carefully choose which
affiliate program or programs you want to join. When it
comes to choosing an affiliate program, do you know what to
look for you? If this is your first time joining an
affiliate program, you are urged to keep on reading. Below
are some guidelines that you may want to think about
following.

Perhaps, the most important thing that you need to
remember, when choosing an affiliate program, is to not
pick the first affiliate program that you come across.
This is a big mistake that many affiliate program
participants make. Unfortunately for you, this can be a
costly mistake. What many do not realize is that the
product you choose to promote will reflect on you and your
business. That is why it is important that you take the
time to thoroughly examine an affiliate program first. You
will want to choose an affiliate program that involves a
product that you can stand behind, one hundred percent.

One of the best ways to know that you are dealing with a
legitimate affiliate program and a quality product is to
test that product out. Although you are advised to do
this, you may not want to or you may be unable to do so. If
that is the case, you can still research an affiliate
program or even the product that is being sold. You can
easily do this online. One of the best ways to do your
research is to perform a standard internet search. Search
with the name of the affiliate program or the product being
sold. You can also check out websites that are known as
scam websites. These websites tend to profile companies,
individuals, or business opportunities that regularly scam
consumers.

Before applying for or signing up for an affiliate program,
you are advised to read all of the rules, restrictions, or
guidelines associated with that affiliate program.
Unfortunately, you may find yourself disqualified from an
affiliate program right off the bat. For instance, there
are a large number of affiliate programs that prohibit
their products from being advertised on websites that
display pornography, foul language, and other offensive
content. Now of course I'm not saying that you would have
anything to do with that sort of thing, but familiarizing
yourself with an affiliate program's rules and guidelines
will prevent you from being denied from a program or later
dismissed from one.

Perhaps, one of the most important things to remember, when
choosing an affiliate program, is the product that you will
have to sell. In conjunction with making sure that the
product is a quality one, you will also want to make sure
that it is related to your website or business, in one way
or another. For instance, if your own website focuses on
computer programming, you will not want to join an
affiliate program that sells pet products. Joining an
affiliate program that is related, in one way or another,
to your own website will increase your chances of making a
sale; thus increasing your profits.

Although it is important to choose a quality product to
stand behind, you also need to remember that your goal is
to make money. One of the easiest ways to make a
substantial amount of money is to choose an affiliate
program that pays their affiliates decently. The average
commission for affiliates is three to five percent of each
sale made. While this is a good percentage to make, there
are higher paying affiliate programs. You may want to look
for affiliate programs that pay around ten percent. In
fact, there are even a select number of affiliate programs
that pay around fifteen percent in commissions.

The above mentioned guidelines are just a few of the many
that you will want to take into consideration, when
choosing an affiliate program. Although the above
mentioned points are helpful, the most important thing to
keep in mind is your judgment. Using your best judgement
is the easiest way to choose an effective affiliate program.

Step by Step Instructions for Starting Up Your First Website

Step by Step Instructions for Starting Up Your First Website
If you have ever thought about starting your very own
website, getting started now would be a great idea. The
number of people across the world who are connecting
themselves online are increasing exponentially every year.
And if you start now, you can really set your website up to
profit in the future. Here is a brief step by step for
starting up your first website.

If you have an idea or direction of what you want to do
with your website, fantastic! This will definitely give
you a head start in promoting efforts and setting your site
up. If you have no idea where to start or no experience
with html or web code, no problem. Today you can find
plenty of starter websites that will have everything all
set up for you and if you do want to make any changes
(which I do recommend) you can always learn how sometime in
the near future. The only thing is, if you decide to go
this route, make sure you really do your homework and
research on which sites work best. There are plenty of
scams out there and people more interested in taking your
money than helping you out.

If you are not scared to learn at least a tad bit of html
and have an idea of what type of site you want to start,
the first thing you need to do is find a reputable host for
your site. There are plenty of free hosts out there but I
do not recomend using these hosts because they will own
your website. What I mean by that is that they don't have
to charge you because advertisers pay them money to
advertise on everyones site who goes through them. They
also control traffic flow and have been known to shut down
with little or no warning. Using a free host is not a good
business decision and running your own website IS running
your own business.

You want to find a reputtable host who has a good history
with clients and allows you several options. Options that
will allow you to have unlimited trafic, ftp options, a pop
mail server account, and great support. Most of these
types of hosts will have a monthly fee but you pay for what
you get. A lot them will even have affiliate programs
where you can earn money for referring others to host their
websites.

Once you have your have your reputtable host selected, it's
time to build your website. There are numerous amounts of
software all over the internet to help you build your first
website. Some are cheap or free, others can cost up to a
thousand dollars or more. When first starting out I
suggest you take the tougher but cheaper route and learn
the html yourself. It's really not that difficult, just
more tedious than anything, and it's good to know for
future reference anyways. Enrolling in a premade site is
the fastest and easiest way to go for a beginner. Make
sure that you sign up for a premade site that has all the
training and tools you need to succeed.

The fun really begins once your site is up and running. To
promote your site and get traffic to it you need to learn
how to write articles, run a blog, submit your site to
directories, talk with others in forums, and much more! It
really is a joy checking your daily website stats and
watching the traffic grow and grow. Eventually, if
marketed correctly, the money will come with the traffic.
Starting up your first website is not as hard as it may
seem. Start today!

The Search Engine Trinity

The Search Engine Trinity
In Cajun cooking, almost every dish starts with what's
known as "The Trinity"—onions, celery and bell peppers.
These 3 ingredients are the foundation of almost every
savory dish. Whether you're eating gumbo, jambalaya, or
even a Cajun soup, they all start with these components.
These form a delicious base to each of these dishes.

Like Cajun food, getting a small business listed on the
search engines also is based on a trinity of components.
These components give your search engine efforts a base to
be built off of, and ensure that you'll be successful.
Those are: the ease of getting listed, the effectiveness of
your listing, and then finally, the level of placement.

1. Ease: If you're like most small businesses, you've got a
lot going on. You're running your business, doing your
marketing, creating your products and/or delivering your
services, and trying to squeeze in some life balance on the
side.

Hours and hours of search engine optimization work are the
last thing you need to add to your to-do list. You need a
simple, easy system to get the most search engine attention
for the least amount of work.

2. Effectiveness: Effectiveness is two-fold. First, you
want your efforts to be effective with the search engines.
You want them to look at your site's code and to rank you
well.

Second, you want your listing to be effective for your
searchers. If a searcher is looking for products or
services like yours, then you want them to see your
listing's description, read it, and to be compelled to
click on it.

3. Position: Your website probably doesn't have to be
ranked #1 for your best keywords to get all the attention
you need—being in the top 10 is just fine for most small
businesses. You also probably don't need to be ranked well
for a very general term, like "consulting". You have to
find the combination of search terms and position on the
search results that works best for your business and gives
you a balance of ease of maintenance (staying in the
rankings) and bringing you good clients.

How do you take advantage of the trinity when you work on
optimizing your site? Here are some suggestions on how to
address each of these issues in your plan:

Ease:

1. Start with solid advice. There are a lot of search
engine systems out there, and a lot of "how-to" advice.
Make sure that the system you're using has been tried and
tested, so that you're not just going to be spinning your
wheels as you work on your optimization.

2. Break your efforts down into short activities.
Optimizing your site for the search engines takes several
steps—and trying to sit down and just do them all,
end-to-end, will take a while. To preserve your sanity, and
to do things in a way that will make your efforts have the
most impact, plan to do each step one at a time, and then
upload your revised files and wait a bit before making
additional changes. That way, you'll avoid going crazy, and
you'll also be able to evaluate the effectiveness of your
efforts along the way.

Effectiveness:

1. Really look at what you want your site to do for you. Is
it really important that you get huge numbers of visitors
to make lots of sales? It may be if you've got a product to
sell. But, if you're a one- or two-person service business,
then it's more likely that you only need a few
well-qualified visits to make all the sales that you can
handle.

2. Experiment with your description in your listing. Use
different description tags on different pages of your
website to see which compels more searchers to click. By
looking at your site statistics, you should be able to see
which page your visitors are coming in through.

Position:

1. See where you really need to be ranked. If your
optimization efforts have gotten you to the second or third
page, then you've already got a good start. You may just
need to do a bit of work to raise your ranking to the first
age.

2. Ask your best clients and visitors how they found you.
What words were they searching on? Which search engine did
they use? You want to get more of these "best" clients
through your website, so asking clients who you already
work well with about how they came to work with you will
help you to make your listing more effective.

These few tips will help you optimize your website with a
solid base of the optimization trinity—making sure the
process will be easy, effective and will get you the
position you need.

Risk Free Network Marketing

Risk Free Network Marketing
Who doesn't love low or risk free opportunities? We'd be
crazy to disagree that we are all conditioned to love risk
free pursuits.

So are these low risk opportunities available to you in
life? Sure they are! If you stay in bed all day long and
never leave your house. That is risk free.

The truth is that everything in life involves some risk.
Driving a car, having relationships, working a job, these
all involve taking risks in life.

The same is true in Network Marketing or MLM. People get
involved with a company and then look for every possible
way to eliminate risk. Eventually, at some point in your
marketing career, you are going to have to look risk in the
face and take it on.

You might be saying, "What if people reject me? What if I
lose a lot of money? What if I fail?" Truthfully, with that
kind of an attitude you probably will fail. You can't
achieve success by sitting on the sidelines. At some point
you have to jump into the game. The greatest achievements
in life come from taking the biggest risks.

It really all does come down to attitude. If you think you
can, you probably will. If you think you can't, you've
already failed. You can't run your business with a fearful
mentality. It simply will not work. Your prospects will
pick up on it in your voice and your conversations. How can
you lead a team when you're shaking in your shoes? Fear
takes hold of your thoughts, actions, and results.

Although you can never eliminate the risk factor in your
business, there are some things that you can do to increase
your odds of success.

Internet marketing is quickly becoming an alternative
option to building a traditional MLM business. While all of
the traditional methods work, the internet is a great way
to get yourself in front of a larger audience more quickly.

Through online marketing, you can achieve in a few months
to a year what it has taken others to achieve in 3-5 years.
Learning effective online marketing strategies is key. Once
you learn how to market on the internet, your opportunities
are endless.

So in closing, be prepared to take risks. Cautiously weigh
your options, but then be willing to take a step of faith.
Invest in yourself and the marketing techniques that will
help you achieve success.

Google Adsense - The Easiest Money To Make Online?

Google Adsense - The Easiest Money To Make Online?
Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and
newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales
of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those
who are just working from home. It seems that Google
Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing
business and is now considered the easiest way to making
money online.

The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on
pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand
keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser,
the more you will receive per click from your site.
Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click
keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.

With all the people getting online and clicking away
everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an
instant hit.

For some who are just new to this market, it would be a
blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried
somewhere in the little ads promoting other people's
services. But then, when they get the idea that they are
actually earning more money that way, all doubts and
skepticism is laid to rest.

There are two major, and I think clever, factors that some
successful webmaster and publishers are learning to blend
together in order to make money easier using Adsense.

1. Targeting high traffic pages on your website. If you
check on your logs, you will discover that many of your
visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate
marketing resources and ebooks that you are offering on
your site. In simple words, your ads are working
effectively and are generating more clicks. It also means
more money for you.

2. Placing Adsense links on pages that are producing
little, or better yet, no profit. By placing Adsense on a
free resources page, you will reduce the amount of
potential customers being lost to other sites. Tricky, but
effective nonetheless.

When learned to work effectively, these two factors are
actually a good source of producing a minimal amount of
revenue from a high traffic page. Many people are using
this strategy to pick up some extra cash with Adsense.
This is also especially rewarding to informational sites
that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate
link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a
monetary return on their services.

With the many techniques that people are now learning on
how to make the easiest money by their Adsense, it's not
surprising that Google is trying everything to update and
polish their Adsense in order to maintain their good image.

The possibility of adding a 2nd tier in Adsense is not
impossible. With all the people spending more time in their
Adsense now and still more getting into this line of
marketing, there is no doubt about the many new
improvements yet to be made. Imagine the smiles on the
faces of the webmasters and publishers all around the world
if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or even
triple the amount that they are already earning. The one
particularly handy money-making feature that is available
with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200
urls. These gives webmasters the option to block out low
value offers from their pages as well as competitors to
their websites. Taking only those that are advantageous and
discarding the ones that seem "useless".

With Google Adsense, the possibilities are endless. Yet
there is also the possibility of someone taking advantage
of the easy money process that this internet marketing is
doing. If you think more about it, these negative factors
may force Google to break down and thrash Adsense in the
process. If that happens, people would have to go back to
the old ways of internet marketing that does not make money
online as easy as Adsense.

For now, however, Google Adsense is here to stay. As long
as there are people wanting to earn some easy cash online
just using their talents, the future ahead is looking good.
Besides with all the strict guidelines that Google is
enforcing over Adsense, it will take awhile for the Adsense
privileges to be spammed and even terminated.

Free Traffic From Forums

Free Traffic From Forums
Free traffic from forums pretty much defines what this
article is all about. Let's get right to it. No fluff here!
One of the best free traffic methods is through forums.
Take your time and research 3-4 forums in your target
market. Simply do a search on your target market and add
the word "forums" at the end. When you search your target
market, looking for several forums, typically the forums
that populate the first or second page of the search engine
are the most popular.

While researching the forums you have chosen, scroll down
to the bottom of their home page to view their "stats". The
stats will define data such as membership quantity, how
many members are online, how many threads, and total post's
etc. You want to target the larger forums for obvious
reasons, those are the one that will give you the most free
traffic. From your research select 3 or 4 forums and sign
up. Log everything you do as you sign up, either on paper,
a text file, Excel, whatever, just keep track of what
you're doing. You want records that are readily available
of your sign-up details.

Now that you have now joined several forums you want to
start visiting them on a regular basis, initially every
day. Typically there will be a catagory for new members to
introduce themselves, start there. Introduce yourself and
ask members to view and critique your site. By doing this
you are achiving three initial goals, getting some free
traffic, possibly some constructive citisism and ideas to
improve your site, and lastly, creating a presence in the
membership. After just a few days you should be starting to
receive visits to your site from an audience of like
people. After you get comfotable in the world of forums
start a thread that is a bit controversial, a topic that
you know will have two very distinctive opinions to your
topic. In other words, if you are posting and starting new
threads in a forum targeted at the same market you're in,
and you're creating some controversy here and there, these
visitors are now free targeted traffic.

After a week or two of posting regularly to your chosen 3
to 4 forums in your target market, you will have developed
a "presence" within the forums. Now is the time you want to
offer a "freebie" at your site to bring more traffic.
Search for a free download in your target market that is
highly defined to a very specific part of your market. The
idea is to offer free very detailed information on an
aspect of your market. The detail adds value to your
visitors.

OK, an example. You have a dog grooming site, offering
products and information about everything to do with dog
grooming. Offer your visitors a download detailing the best
way to bath a dog. Ideal water temperatures, how often a
particular breed should be bathed based on coat length and
skin sensitivity. The best types of shampoos and/or
conditioners to be used based on coat type and length. You
can see where I'm going with this, offer highly detailed
information to your visitors that will be very valuable to
every one of them. Any visitor engaging in a dog grooming
site is there for a very specific reason...they have a dog,
and they are very interested in how best to groom him or
her. Along with your products, you are offering free
information in how best to apply that product.

Now you have something new to mention/offer in your forum
postings. You also have some new controversy to create
based on your new free download! Start a new thread "Always
Use A Conditioner For Every Bath". I think you can see the
interest and emotional response something like that will
create. Try to respond to each post you receive from your
controversial thread to keep the thread alive. There is no
doubt you will become as engaged with the topic as your
poster's, but never forget the goal...each time you post,
reply, or start a thread the link to your site is right
there for all to click on and provide you lots of free
traffic.

I have been marketing online for almost 3 years, and
continue to learn and grow every day. I soon learned that
the lack of website traffic is the straw that breaks the
back of all online businesses. It is now my turn to pass on
what I have learned. To learn more, I invite you to explore
more at http://www.MrTraffic.Wordpress.com .

Traveling The Carpeted Freeway To Your Home Office!

Traveling The Carpeted Freeway To Your Home Office!
Not long ago, I was reintroduced to the network marketing
industry. Back in the early 90's I participated in a few
MLM's that never went anywhere.

With this reintroduction, I saw that, while extensively
searching Google, the playing field had changed and that
there were more people making more cash than ever before.

Donald Trump, like him or not, said that if he had to do it
all over again, he would do so in the network marketing
industry.

I began my quest to discover how so many people are able to
earn a substantial living from the internet in the business
of network marketing.

Since my previous endeavors, there have been the
introduction of so many different type of networks; the
reverse funnel, turnkey business solutions, cash gifting
programs and many others. But were people really generating
a substantial amount of cash with these programs?

What is odd, I have found that 97% of those who are trying
to earn a living on the internet in the network marketing
industry, quite frankly, are not! Only 3% are actually
making any money and only an elite few are earning the kind
of 5 figure months we all dream about.

What this tells me is there are a lot of people looking for
a way out of corporate America. In fact, a recent report
from Forbes Magazine indicated that 79,000,000 people will
be looking to start a business over the next 3-5
years....79,000,000!

A word of caution!

There are people out there that all they want to do is
separate you from your hard earned cash and don't give a
rip about you, your family or your well being.

I admit, early on I fell victim to these people too and
have vowed to make sure that you, and others like you who
are hard working people trying to get ahead, have a
legitimate opportunity to learn exactly how to market on
the internet and generate a steady flow of cash into your
life.

In future articles I will review various programs and
techniques, providing relevant information positive and
negative attributes of each including 1up cash systems, the
reverse funnel system, 2up cash gifting programs,
businesses with built in turnkey solutions, matrix's and so
on.

Many, many people become the "opportunity of the month"
club members, jumping from the next best program to an
other.

All they are doing is taking a match to their hard earned
money.

With the increased number of people desiring and attempting
to work from home then, of course, the number of successful
people will increase. The percentages, however, are still
quite low.

Why is that?

When someone joins a business opportunity they have to ask
themselves, can I use these, what are the benefits to me
and ask the same questions about those you seek to bring
into the business. Are the products relevant?

That is but one of the steps in becoming successful in
network marketing; finding those people that can relate to
your product.

Now, with that being said, why would anyone join any
program that you are offering?

You see, it's not so much about the product as it is about
YOU!

Here's a quick question for you.......

Have you ever noticed that you tend to do work with people
you can trust, people that are honest and credible? People
that add provide value beyond the product?

With the right business model, perseverance and your
ability to make improvements in your life where needed,
success is possible.

Take time to educate yourself about...yourself, your
product and your opportunity. Together, with all three
working in unison you will have what it takes to travel
"carpeted freeway" from your bedroom to your home office
with the confidence to be successful not only in your new
business but in life also.

Now, go make it happen!

How To Turn Hard Work Into Making Money Online

How To Turn Hard Work Into Making Money Online
You do know that internet marketing is hard work, don't
you? To make money online you had better be prepared to put
in some effort.

One of the most searched words on the internet when it
comes to making money is "free". Another one is "easy". Why
is it that people are always looking for the shortcut? What
about how to make money online working hard!

I saw an interesting post in the Warrior Forum about early
to rise and it led to a story about a life changing early
morning routine which I thought was fantastic. Since I have
always been an early riser over the years I could relate to
what he was saying.

When I had a full time job, and was starting my internet
business, I used to get up between 4:00 and 4:30 and spend
2-3 hours on my internet business before I went off to
work. Some days this was hard to do, but I had a goal of
working full time for myself. This is what motivated me!

The other thing was this, since I had to go to work at my
job I had limited time to spend on my internet business.
This forced me to be organized and to get things done. I
became very accomplishment oriented, which I am still
today. Having a daily to do list and marking things off as
I get them done really helps me.

Here is my point. Most of you are going to have to work
hard if you want to make money online. The exception would
be if you have money and can outsource everything. Even
then you have probably already worked hard to make the
money to be in the position you are in.

You really are going to have to fill up every minute of
your day at first. Finding the proper balance between work
and family will become important. And then make sure you
are actually working and not just hanging out online.

Surfing the net and not doing the things on your daily to
do list is not really working. Moving your busines forward
is the key. Ask yourself if what you are doing right now is
going to move your business forward in some way.

When you are new you should be spending 80-90% of your time
promoting your business. Making your website pretty is not
promoting yoru business. Get your site the way you want it
and then leave it alone.

Hanging out in discussion forums may not be productive
either. Especially if you are in a forum where all of the
other members are already promoting the same business as
each other.

To promote your business you wouild need to go to another
forum and hang out where there are new prospects. This is
another example of how you should be spending yoru time and
making it productive

In summary you are going to have to get up and go to work
everyday in your business. Only then will you get where you
want to be. This is how you turn hard work into making
money online.

Spice Up Your Sales Pages With These Power Words That Make People Buy

Spice Up Your Sales Pages With These Power Words That Make People Buy
Want to make more sales but can't afford to have your sales
pages written for you? Spent money on buying visitors, but
still getting no sales? The solution could be as simple as
using some simple but powerful words alter the minds of
your visitors into a buying attitude.

People visiting your sales page need three things:

To feel comfortable or at ease

To be assured that you are genuine

To believe they are getting value for money

Here are some words and phrases that will cleverly lay the
foundation on which those needs can be met.

1. Make your visitors feel safe and assured that if they
buy from you, they can obtain a replacement or refund if
the item is faulty or does not meet their needs. To do this
make sure you offer a cast iron guarantee. Use the word
"guaranteed" or "money-back guarantee" on your sales page.
People want to feel comfortable they are not risking their
hard earned cash buying your product.

2. Another way to make them feel at ease about buying your
product is that they will be able to use it without a huge
learning curve. Use words like "easy" and "simple". Tell
them that they will be quickly up and running once they get
hold of your item. Tell them that there is a "getting
started" manual or training video to get them going.
Naturally you won't tell them these things unless you can
deliver, but make sure you convince them that they won't
have to spend hours getting to grips with your product. It
is human nature to want easy ordering, easy instructions,
easy to use, easy payments, etc.

3. We live in an instant world. People expect to have their
needs met right now whenever possible. So always emphasize
things like "instant download", "fast ordering system" or
"fast delivery". Almost everyone today knows that if they
are buying an eBook or maybe software from your site it is
going to be downloadable. But don't take that for granted.
State clearly that once they have parted with their cash
they will be able to instantly download your product.

4. When you are selling your own product get some
testimonials. If you are launching a new product and don't
have any yet, approach some of your previous customers and
ask if they will give one in exchange for a free copy.
Testimonials give your prospects that essential sense of
assurance that others have tried the product and found it
useful.

5. Prospective customers need to be persuaded that they are
going to get value for money, so make sure you have a
comprehensive list of bulleted features about what your
product offers, and use words like "value", "discount",
"scientific", "proven", "results". Another time honoured
way to offer value for money is give away some free gifts
or bonuses. Take a look at surefirewealth.com for some free
ones.

Finally, make sure you write the words of your ad as if
only one person is reading it. Use "you" and "your"
extensively as though your visitor has your exclusive
attention. Make them feel as if you're having a
conversation with them and them only.

Put these power words into action right now and you will
quickly reap the benefit.

Internet Marketing Affiliate Programs-What You Should Know?

Internet Marketing Affiliate Programs-What You Should Know?
The bedrock of internet marketing affiliate programs is
revenue sharing. A while back, the thought of sharing sales
by way of commissions didn't seem like a brilliant idea.
Today however, internet marketing affiliate programs thrive
on the Web in droves and seem to be increasing daily.

Lately, there's been such good news regarding internet
marketing affiliate programs. But the real question is,
how truly effective are they? How can a new affiliate
maximize success and minimize failure? We're going to take
a look at how to make money using internet marketing
affiliate programs.

Affiliate Programs

The key to success is to truly understand how the industry
works. An affiliate program is generally a simple
operation. You join a program in which you'll be paid to
promote products or services exclusive to that specific
program. Depending on the terms of the contract, an
affiliate is compensated for every sale, customer, visitor
or subscriber visiting the vendors' website. The vast
majority of affiliate programs are run online. This is
simply because online programs are the most efficient and
cost-effective way to promote products and earn money
simultaneously.

Succeeding With Affiliate Programs

When joining affiliate programs look for an established or
reliable affiliate company. Don't be hoodwinked by the
glitz and glamor of websites. It pays well to align
yourself with well-established internet marketing affiliate
programs. Your headaches will be vastly reduced. A Quality
Affiliate Product

Without doubt, the quality product you'll be promoting is
key to your success. Business wise, you can be as crafty as
you like. But you'll be swimming against the tide if you
are burdened with a valueless affiliate product. Research
the product or service you intend to sell. You must
understand how useful your intended product is. Moreover,
you must understand how well it will fit the needs of your
market.

What Are Your Chances Of Success With Internet Marketing
Affiliate Programs?

The current figures indicate well over $6 billion in
commissions in 2006 alone. Figures like that would induce
anyone to jump on the bandwagon. In addition, variety is
the name of the game. Internet marketing affiliate programs
cover products ranging from retail to gaming to telecoms
and publishing to personal finance and education.

As an affiliate, you get paid for your performance. That's
simple. More in, more out! Success and failure in internet
marketing affiliate programs will depend on your choices.
Treat your affiliate program as a business. It will require
a whole heap of work, maintenance and follow up. Internet
marketing affiliate programs are a growing, highly
competitive industry. Oddly enough, the operative word for
successful internet marketing affiliate programs is trust.

How to Choose the Best Home Business for You

How to Choose the Best Home Business for You
Whether you are looking at starting a home business because
you are looking for a great way to supplement your income
or simply because you are ready to take a step back from
the nine to five grind - you're tired of working for
someone else, tired of the commute, tired of not seeing
your hard work pay off for you - you owe it to yourself to
look at a variety of home business opportunities. After
all, when you're ready to start a home business, you need
to be sure that you're choosing the best home business for
you.

What does it take to choose the best home business for your
personality? How can you be sure that the home business
ideas that you've had will prove to be profitable? How can
you tell whether the home business opportunities that you
are considering are really opportunities and not just
cleverly disguised scams?

Choosing the best home business means taking a close look
at yourself. Choosing the best home business ideas for you
means taking the time to really look at what you are
interested in, what you do particularly well and what you
can see yourself making a commitment to.

For example, if you love to travel, you might be looking
for home business opportunities that will allow you to see
the world. While that may seem like a good idea, it's
important to look at the big picture. First, there is a lot
of competition and, while most people do look to the
internet for their travel needs, you will need to focus on
building your reputation.

Further, simply beginning a travel home business will not
ensure that you get to be the one who is doing most of the
traveling. Because of this, home business opportunities in
travel may not be as satisfying for you as you might hope
that they would be.

On the other hand, if you are looking at home business
ideas and have a great deal of experience in administrative
positions, you might find that beginning a home business as
a virtual assistant can be quite lucrative and enjoyable.
Similarly, if you have held a number of accounting
positions and enjoy the work but want to start working for
yourself rather than a major company, you're likely to find
that there are great home business opportunities for those
who can provide accounting services to small businesses and
other home businesses.

Of course, finding home business opportunities do entail
looking at more than simply what you are good at, what you
are interested in and what you hope to accomplish. Choosing
the right home business also means taking into
consideration how much time you have to commit to the
business, how much space you have in your home and whether
or not you will need to invest in additional training and
equipment.

If you find that you have a room in your home that can
easily be converted into a home office, you are likely to
find that you are in a better position to pursue home based
opportunities that require a dedicated work space than
someone who can only commit a corner of his or her dining
room table.

Likewise, if you know that you are only able to commit a
couple of hours a day to starting a home business, you are
going to want to look for home business opportunities that
will not require a full time commitment - at least
initially. Knowing whether or not you will need additional
training - to return to the example of creating a home
business with accounting, if you have no experience or
degree in a related field you are less likely to do well in
an accounting home business - should also affect your
decision.

That's not to say that if you have an interest in providing
accounting services or even tax services that it is not
viable as a home business if you do not have the training.
It's merely to point out that, if you are looking for home
business opportunities that you can take advantage of
immediately, it may not be the best choice. On the other
hand, if you are looking for home business ideas that you
are willing to work toward, there's nothing to say that you
must rule it out.

Ultimately, there are nearly as many home business ideas as
there are individuals who are interested in pursuing home
business opportunities. If you are looking to start a home
business, focus on your interests and experience. Do some
research and, if it's possible, talk with other home
business owners to learn more about how they made the
decision to pursue home business opportunities.

Focus on your strengths and weaknesses. Pursue the home
business ideas that you have - if only by researching them
to see whether or not they really are great opportunities.
By taking the time to understand yourself and the home
business opportunities that appeal to you, you will find
that it is far easier to choose the home business that will
be ideal for you.

Making Money Without A Product

Making Money Without A Product
Would you like to make money by selling products online?
If so, do you already have a collection of products to
sell? If not, do you have the money needed to obtain them?
If you are like many others, who want to make money online,
there is a good chance that you do not have the required
funds. After all, if you did, you likely would not be
looking for ways to make money online. While you might
automatically assume that it is impossible for you to make
money online, especially if you don't have any products to
sell, it isn't. There is good news. That good news is that
you can make money, a substantial amount of money, even if
you don't actually have a product to sell.

As I said before, there are a large number of individuals
who want to make money online, however, many think that it
is impossible to do because they don't already have a
collection of products or they don't have the money needed
to make the purchases. Unfortunately, when this occurs, a
large number of individuals just give up. You are advised
against doing this. As previously mentioned, it is possible
to make money online, even if you don't have any products
to sell. You can do so with affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs are programs that create a partnership
with business owners and webmasters. If you are already a
webmaster this is great, but if not you can easily become
one. As you likely already know, a webmaster is an
individual who owns and operates their own online website.
Once you have a website and you find another business,
which is running an affiliate program, you can enter into a
partnership with them. This partnership is unique because
you can both benefit from it. Affiliate programs work to
help business owners increase their sales, but they also
help webmasters generate extra income.

Although affiliate programs sound nice, you may be looking
for more information. After all, with internet scams at an
all time high, you can never be too cautious. While some
affiliate programs are operated in different ways, they
tend to be operated similarly. This involves the business
owner creating links or banners for webmasters, just like
you, to display on their website. Special tracking
software, which is often referred to as affiliate tracking
software, is used. That software will enable a business
owner to determine exactly when you helped them generate a
sale and how much that sale was. This sale will, in turn,
generate additional income for you by way of commissions.
The amount of money that you make will all depend on the
affiliate program that you choose to join, but your
commission is often a percentage of your sale. In some
instances, can also be a flat rate amount.

When it comes to affiliate programs, one of the questions
most commonly asked is why? As previously mentioned,
affiliate programs allow you to make money selling a
product that isn't even yours. This means that you do not
have to deal with any inventory. You also don't have to
ship any products to the buyers. In fact, you shouldn't
even have to communicate with your customers. Your
affiliate partner, the one who is selling the product, will
do all of the work for you. What could be easier than that?

If you are interested in making money online, without
having to have your own products to sell, you are urged to
further examine affiliate programs, namely the programs
that are available for you to join. You can find these
programs by examining large affiliate hosting programs,
such as LinkShare. You can also find affiliate programs to
join by examining the online websites of various online
retail stores. Typically towards the bottom of the main
homepage, a business will outline whether or not they have
an affiliate program that you can apply to. If you are
really looking to make money online, you should find a
product, a service, or a company that you can fully stand
behind, one hundred percent.

How To Make Your Website Structurally Sound

How To Make Your Website Structurally Sound
You've decided to build a website. Great! Your first step
is to determine its structure—the pages you want to include
and the information you want provide to visitors. But how
to begin?

Your first instinct may be to make your site different from
everyone else's. After all, trying to differentiate your
business is what you've been doing throughout your branding
process.

Building a website is like building a custom home

When you create a custom house, you can arrange your floor
plan however you want, paint the walls as you please and
fill the house with furniture you love. Your goal is to
create a unique space that stands out from everyone else's.

In the same vein, there are elements of your website where
standing out makes sense. For example, the overall look of
your site and your copy should be different from other
sites—especially those of your competitors.

Differentiating your website is good for your small
business—to a point. What you don't want to do is
reengineer its basic structure.

Standing out isn't always the stable way to build

Underneath it all, even the most unique custom home has the
same foundation and spacing between studs in the wall as
every other house on the block.

By following underlying principles of construction,
builders help ensure that the house is structurally sound.
Why not use the same approach when it comes to your
website? That way, your site is far more likely to work
well for you.

To use site building rules, of course, you need to know
what they are.

Rule 1: Do competitive research

Before someone sets out to build a custom house, they'll
probably do quite a lot of research—looking at other
houses, determining the architectural styles that appeal to
them, and perhaps even checking out homes in the
neighborhood where they want to build.

The same goes for your website. You need find out what
you're up against. Once you're familiar with competitors'
sites, you can make sure that your site will not only be
different in the right places, such as look and feel and
content, but that it will also be comparable in the right
places.

Most likely, your competitors have been building their
sites for some time—and probably updating them to answer
customer questions and market their businesses more
strongly. You don't want prospects to pass you by because
your site doesn't answer an important question that a
competitor has addressed.

Visiting other sites and making notes of basic structure,
business information presented, customer questions answered
and even relevant tools and articles gives you a jump start
on creating a site that facilitates apples-to-apples
comparisons.

Rule 2: Plan your site architecture

As you may suspect, planning your site architecture is like
drawing up architectural plans for a custom house, where
you plan just what you'll include and what will go in each
space. For example, do you want a library? A formal dining
room? And where will you put the piano?

Similarly, for your website, you must decide the pages
you'll include and the information on each page.

When planning your site architecture, think about what
you'd like your website to do for your business. Do you
want it to bring in clients and close sales? If so, pricing
information and even a shopping cart can help do that. Do
you need your site to get media attention? Then a Media
Room might be the key. Make sure to include the pages and
content required to get the job done.

In addition, think about how you plan to expand your
website in the future. At the beginning, designing a
website of more than 10 pages can overwhelm a small
business—both in terms of budget and time required to write
the content.

But, if you create an expanded site map at the beginning—a
website wish list if you will—then you and your website
strategist can determine which pages will be most important
in helping you reach your goals. You'll also have a clear
roadmap you can use to add on to your website as your
budget and schedule allow.

For more about the pages to include on your website, see
this article: Pages To Include On Your Website.

Rule 3: Name your pages in a way that makes sense

Have you ever walked into an unfamiliar house and been
unable to find your way around? You probably asked the
hostess where the kitchen was so you could drop off your
pot luck dish or the way to the bathroom.

On a website, though, visitors don't have the luxury of
asking where things are. So you want to make it as easy as
possible for them to find the information that they need.

Some small businesses want navigation button names to be
clever or interesting. But, it's important to think about
the website visit from your customers' or prospects' point
of view. They often come to your site looking for specific
information. Even if they're just browsing, they want an
organized way to look around—where clicking a link takes
them to the page they expect. Remember that visitors don't
have a lot of time or the patience to bumble around your
site.

You see the same navigation buttons on every site you visit
for a good reason. Established usage conventions have
trained visitors to look for names like "Services," "About"
and "Contact" when they're out browsing around. Capitalize
on this and your visitors will be able to find what they're
looking for quickly—keeping your site and your business in
their good graces.

Following these three simple rules makes it much more
likely that your website is structurally sound and that
your visitors will have a great experience there instead of
a frustrating one.

7 Steps to Greater Link Popularity and Higher Search Engine Rankings

7 Steps to Greater Link Popularity and Higher Search Engine Rankings
Link Popularity is one of the most important factors
affecting your Search Engine rankings. When your site is
popular with other web-sites, the Search Engines love you,
but if you are the new kid on the block, they ignore you;
totally. Its great to be popular; and improving your Link
Popularity will also get you higher rankings on the search
engines.

Why is Link Popularity important for higher rankings?

Search Engines are just software programs that try to
analyze the utility and validity of your content with
regard to certain keywords. It also tries to understand the
importance or ranking of your site against all competing
sites in its index.

Just how do Search Engines learn about the utility and the
validity of your content?

Search Engines just love sites that users love to visit.
They love it even more if users spend more time at the site
before they browse away. Now how do they know which sites
humans love? Obviously with the billions of web pages on
the world wide web, the Search Engines cannot manually go
to each site and check their content. They let other humans
do that work for them. Then they watch as others link to
your site. They watch your LINK POPULARITY.

Link popularity simply means how popular are you on the
World Wide Web. And your popularity is determined by the
number of people linking to your web-site. The greater the
number of external links pointing to your web-site, the
greater is your ranking. Simple, isn't it?

Here is how to find YOUR link popularity: Go to Google.com
and type in link: followed by your URL. This returns all
the sites that link to you in the Google index. eg.
link:http://www.yourdomain.com.

How do you get a lot of people to link to you?

Getting people to link to you is easy if you establish your
presence. Show that you are a master of your domain. Even
if you deal in manure, and there are people out there
wanting to know more about it, you have an audience. And if
you establish your presence well enough, the links will
automatically follow.

Here are a few ways you can increase your inbound links.

1) Articles : Almost anybody can write articles. This is
the easiest way to get started on your way to Search Engine
manna. Its just the question of putting down your thoughts
in a coherent manner. As long as the information you are
providing is useful and valid, your articles are sought
after by publishers out there. There are also hundreds of
article directories on the net.

To find article directories, Google 'Article Directories'.
You get nearly 2 million hits. There are also some
awesome free tools available for this.

For those with a morbid fear of writing, you can find
'Ghostwriters' as well as 'Virtual Assistants' on the
Internet. Search on Google for those terms and you will
find many a link to sites that provide you suitable
services. You may also use sites like Elance.com and
RentACoder.com for people who will write articles for you.

2) Blogs: Blogs are not as easy to do as Articles are. But
they are a very useful tool, nevertheless. When you have a
blog, you have an audience. It like a fan base. They have
certain expectations of you. They want you to churn out hit
singles or albums. But they want you to give them more.
Even though they started out as mere diaries or daily
jottings of a few people, currently they are excellent link
building, content management and search engine optimization
tools.

In fact almost industry may have its blog portal. As always
run a search and you will find something in your industry.
Or you may go to blogger.com or wordpress.com to start your
own blog free of charge.

3) Free Products: The easiest way to do this is to write a
tool and offer it for downloads. Or may be even provide a
service for free. The greatest example of building a
business with free service that comes to mind is
hotmail.com. Once your service becomes a must-have, its
only a matter of time before you can start making money
from it. Also you can have people point to your site to
give their customers access to your tool.

4) Trackbacks: This is the easiest way to get your links
out there. What you do is go to other blogs(Authority
Sites) in your industry and become a regular contributor.
Or comment on the blogs. Along with your signature, most
people offer a link to your web-site. And the more links
you have pointing back to you, the more popular you get.
Also, when you become a major contributor/commentor, people
start valuing your opinion more.

5) Syndications : You can offer your articles to other
sites for publishing for free or for payment. Your article
links back to your site.

6) Reciprocal links: You offer a link to another peer site,
in return for them linking back to you. This is a good way
to get your target industry users to come to your site.
Also you introduce your users to other sites that they may
be interested in visiting. They will be thankful to you for
pointing them in the right direction. And they come to
trust you more.

7) Partner links : Your local Chamber of commerce,
Suppliers, Resellers, Affiliates, Sites selling
complementary products etc.

8) Study your competition: Google your product and study
the linking strategy of top ranking sites. There are tools
that help you do this. Webposition.com has a good tool but
I prefer EliteSEOTool.com as it has some additional
features that I love. These tools help you conduct an
ongoing study of your competition and their rankings
thereby helping you beat them consistently.

Of course, no amount of link popularity will help you if
don't have the content to keep visitors at your site. So
start with good content.

A note of caution! Make sure that you are being linked to
by Authority sites with a Good PageRank. Also the linking
sites should somehow be relevant to your industry. If not,
it only serves to confuse the Search Engines and your
rankings will suffer.
