3 Marketing Pillars for MLM Success

3 Marketing Pillars for MLM Success
Does marketing your MLM or direct sales business feel like
a lot of work? Are you putting a lot of effort into
belly-to-belly marketing, only to get bogged down by all
the "rejections"? Are you ready to turn that around? All
you need is a simple mindset change...

Most network marketers and direct sellers prospect people,
pique their interest, present the opportunity... and then
walk away all ticked off when the prospect says "no". If
you let your emotions get the best of you, you're doomed
and you'll never experience any level of success in MLM.
You'll get mad, frustrated, and eventually you'll quit.
That's the reason most people never make any substantial
money.

Success, however, is a simple choice. So if you're ready to
succeed, here are 3 simple mindset shifts that will help
you maximize your sales and recruiting.

1) Remember that you are a business owner and all
businesses must market in order to stay in business. It's
just part of the game, and I suggest you don't try to
change the rules. (Unless you just want an expensive and
very time consuming hobby)

The upside to belly-to-belly marketing is that you can
create rapport much easier and establish better
relationships than with traditional marketing methods. The
downside is that you have to deal directly with all the
no's. And those rejections can sting a lot, if you let them.

One way to let go of the sting is to realize that in
marketing, most people are going to say no. There is no
company or marketing expert in the world that gets a sale
from anywhere near most of the people they market to. In
fact, most marketing campaigns are considered successful if
they can get a small percent of the prospects to say yes -
a small percent!

Now I'm not saying that you should be happy with a closing
ratio of a very small percentage, because in direct sales,
it will be higher. But the bottom line is - MOST PEOPLE
WILL SAY NO. That's part of the game. So don't get
emotional when everything works out that way - it's
supposed to.

2) Recruit DESIRE, not POTENTIAL. Success in network
marketing requires recruiting people who want to succeed,
not people who could succeed. But hang around any MLM
crowd, and you'll hear distributors getting overexcited
about the potential of their latest recruit. "He could be
SO GOOD" in this business.

Here's the problem - all 6 billion of the people on this
planet COULD be great in network marketing if they decide
to. Everyone who can communicate can do well in MLM. But
success is a choice; it's not an ability or a
characteristic. The only long term outcome of getting
excited about potential is frustration when most people
don't do what they say they're going to do.

So instead of setting your filter to attract people who
have the ability to succeed (nobody will be weeded out),
set your filter to notice and attract people who have a
burning desire to succeed at all costs.

Recruit desire. Teach the skillset later.

3) Stop trying so hard. Recruiting can be effortless, if
you make it that way. You've still got to take action, but
there's a big difference between effort and action.

When you know your true purpose for working your business,
and all of your actions are aligned with your values, the
whole process can actually become fun - it doesn't feel
like 'effort' at all.

What makes selling and recruiting feel 'hard' is the
emotion you put into it. But when you take the emotion out,
there's nothing hard about it. You filter for people who
want what you have, and offer it to them. Simple.

I'm not saying take the emotion completely out of the
business, because everyone makes emotional buying
decisions, so your offers should absolutely be drawing out
the emotion of your prospect. But as far as your actions
are concerned, emotion is deadly.

Armed with the right marketing mindset, you'll have all the
success you desire in your MLM business.

Which Internet Business To Choose?

Which Internet Business To Choose?
With the rise of the Internet and the huge growth in online
businesses, there is now a myriad of Business Opportunities
available to people who would never have thought to start a
business on the net.

There seem to be literally hundreds of new business
opportunities coming onto the market every week - all of
them promise to make the people who take them up vast sums
of money with little or no work on the part of the buyer.

We all know that there is no guarantee of success when
starting a new business, the statistics on traditional
business starts shows that 9 out of every 10 new businesses
fail within the first year. My guess is that new internet
businesses have an even greater failure rate as the
financial entry level is much lower and the take up rate is
much higher.

There is no doubt that if you achieve success with an
internet business then the level of that success can be
dramatic and in some cases fantastic. It is this possible
future success that encourages so many people to try their
hand at new internet business opportunities.

So the question comes, which internet business should I
choose and why? What criteria should we use to identify the
best of the new internet business opportunities?

That's a hard question to answer, but there are many
pointers to consider when choosing which internet business
to select. I will outline the main qualities that make up
the most successful internet businesses and which ones that
the novice should consider:

Website:

This may seem an obvious point, but in almost all internet
businesses you will need a website:

Are you provided with a website or are you required to
create one?

Are you provided with the tools to create a website?

Can you change the website that is supplied?

How much will I be charged for website hosting?

Getting a website is only a very small part in making a
successful internet business, you must be able to get
targeted traffic to your site.

It is no good having the best website in the world if no
one knows about it.

Internet Marketing - getting traffic:

This is a huge subject in its own right and there are many
experts and companies that have invested millions of
dollars into this field. However for our purpose it is
necessary to know:

Am I provided with any Internet Marketing training?

Does the company teach me the basics of getting traffic to
my site?

Is my site already configured for Search Engine
Optimisation (SEO)?

Does the company make it clear that I may have to pay to
get targeted visitors to my site?

Does the company help with getting traffic to the site?

How will I get prospects for my products?

As well as getting targeted traffic to the site, you will
also need to know how to 'sell' your products to
prospective customers and to convert visitors to your site
into paying customers.

Internet Marketing - converting traffic into sales:

The best websites automatically convert targeted visitors
into customers, they do this in a number of ways:

How good is the sales copy on your new website?

If you surfed the site, would you buy its products?

What are the products, how much do they cost and what is
the profit margin?

What methods of conversion are used (static, audio, video
etc)?

Does the site automatically follow up on enquiries?

Do they use autoresponders to automate this process?

Products:

One of the most important aspects of any internet business
is what products you are selling and how exclusive they are:

How exclusive are your products and are they sold at
competitive prices?

How are they shipped to the customer? How does the customer
pay for the goods (credit card, wire transfer etc)?

What is the after sales process?

What is the process for customer complaints?

Is the business Replicable?

This really is one of the key questions, just because the
owner or creator of the internet business is very
successful it doesn't necessarily follow that you will be
too.

One of the key questions is - can this business be
replicated by me?

This really gets to the point, because all of the questions
above will lead to knowing the answer to this last question:

If I buy this business, then can I make a success of it?

I have been involved in many internet businesses throughout
the last 5 years and through sometimes bitter experience
and sometimes fantastic success, I have learned how to set
up and be successful at new internet businesses I set up
and operate.

Hopefully, this article will point you towards asking the
questions that will enable you to make a decision on what
your thought process should be when considering a new
internet business opportunity.

I sincerely wish you all the success in world, because if
you choose right, it can really change your life.

Want to know what a Quality Affiliate Program should provide?

Want to know what a Quality Affiliate Program should provide?
There is tremendous opportunity to make money on the web
through Affiliate programs and various internet marketing
systems.

One of many difficulties involved with becoming a
successful entrepreneur on the web is being able to
identify the right opportunity for you.

Your approach should be to find something (a product or
service) that matches your lifestyle and interests and then
begin the process of identifying a system that will work
for you from both a time and earnings perspective.

If you sign up with an Affiliate program there are several
key things to look for that will have a significant impact
on your success (or failure) as a marketer.

Any quality program should offer :

1. A Business Opportunity - that can provide consistent
recurring revenue
2. A Marketing and Lead generation engine - to drive
traffic to you or your site
3. Support Organization - to respond to questions,
processes and advice

When you combine these elements together you have the
ingredients for a system that can be marketed successfully.
A system that can generate significant leads and
CONVERSIONS. And if executed with passion and persistence
and with the right team.... can transform you into a
marketing expert. An expert that can take your newly
developed skills into the open marketplace and apply them
to a myriad of new business opportunities.

The Business Opportunity

With any quality Affiliate program there should be the
opportunity to establish and grow your own business. A
business that can provide long-term and consistent cash
flow. The characteristics of a quality program include:

1. A high paying compensation / commission plan
2. A product / service that is wanted (or needed, even
better!) in the marketplace

You want to make sure that as your marketing skills improve
you will see a direct correlation in sales and increased
revenue with your system.

Compensation

When you are researching your affiliate programs look for
compensation plans that cover the 3 C's: Clear, Concise and
Consistent. Your plan should be an easy read and paid out
on a frequent basis. Weekly is the best scenario for any
business owner.

The Product

Do your research on the product. Make sure it is high
quality and desirable in the marketplace. Ask yourself -
"Would I buy it?" If the answer is yes, then you know you
can get passionate about it and your marketing efforts will
be easier. When you're excited about your product it always
comes through in your advertising.

A Marketing and Lead Generation Engine

One of the most important aspects of any Affiliate system
is its ability to drive traffic and bring you qualified
leads that will CONVERT to sales. Using a reverse funnel
approach to lead generation is a great technique. Instead
of bringing every lead to you (as a traditional marketing
funnel approach would) a reverse funnel applies an initial
round of qualification before the lead is passed on to the
next stage. An example would be making the lead pay a small
fee to get access to additional information on the program
and opportunity. A fee will help weed out the tire kickers
and bring you more serious prospects.

Make sure that the back-office systems that are in place
for marketing have quality sales copy and auto-responder
capability. This will allow you to effortlessly stay in
front of your prospects with a quality message and content.

Support Organization

One of the biggest things to consider when becoming part of
any MLM, Network Marketing or Affiliate program is the
supporting organization and tools/systems available. This
aspect of the program is the difference between being
stranded on a island alone and working with someone in the
next cube over.

Real People

Make sure you can get in touch with team members and people
running the program. The "corporate team" should be running
calls on a weekly basis where they provide training and
advice to members. Calls should be recorded and archived in
the event you miss one.

Some programs now offer a Personal Success Mentor. This is
a person that is assigned to you, outside of your upline
team to make sure you are successful and happy with your
business. Not many programs offer this level of
hand-holding, but if you find one that does its a strong
indicator of how committed they are to your success.

If you ask me about Affiliate programs

I will tell you:

1. There are real opportunities with real people out there
2. You can make a lot of money with the right system
3. Its not for everyone
4. It will take time to build your business
5. You will have to spend some money to build your business
6. It can provide you with a lifetime of financial
independence
7. You must be persistent and work hard to achieve your
goals
8. Its worth it for the RIGHT person

All the best,

Is Article Writing good for Your Business.

Is Article Writing good for Your Business.
Article writing is the first part of the equation in
article marketing. It is the part that directly determines
if your marketing efforts succeed or fail.

Article writing is the creation of articles that are
relevant to the subject matter of your site. This means
creating articles with links to your site, and submitting
them to article directories. Here they can be used by people
as free content for their own websites.

Article writing is really a very small task when it comes
to marketing, but it is a very important one. When you are
not seeing the results you need in your business, start
writing. Article writing is not about a particular style
except your own. Use your own technique and say it in your
own words.

Article writing is a great way to generate quality targeted
traffic to a website especially when the reader finds the
information valuable. You must therefore write as if you are
the expert in your chosen field.

In order to make your article something a webmaster will
want to publish, here are a few points to help you better
sell your content.

For one, you'll want to have an attention grabbing
headline. The headline may in fact be the most important
aspect of your story. After reading your headline people
must be drawn to want to read more. Ask yourself some
questions about your article: Find a headline that answers
these questions in a way that summarizes the rest of the
article. If you can make it clever and witty, so much the
better. But don't try to get too smart. Just be yourself.

Article Writing is more than just the ability to write
without making grammatical errors or misspelling a lot of
words. Article writing is a great way for webmasters to
sell their thoughts and expertise for publication in many
different internet arenas.

Not everyone who manages a website has the time or the
talent to provide all of the written content. This is why
there is such a demand for good solid ghost written text.
Article writing is the best way to spread the word about
your site, and establish you as an authority on a certain
subject, or within your industry.

Writing your first article is probably the most difficult
part of article writing. Article writing is a way to enter
into a huge amount of different internet markets by using
different keywords and key phrases.

Article writing is often considered a numbers game, the
more articles you write the more likely it is that you will
receive traffic to your website. It increases web site
traffic and the number of back links to your website as
people click on your resource links. Article writing is
just one type of writing that can increase traffic and can
be done online. If you are willing to take the time and make
the effort to write, you can easily build an online business
that will make you money for years to come.

Article writing is probably the best method of link
building and more and more webmasters are following this
approach. It's free, it takes little time, it creates fresh
content for the web, and it's more rewarding than any other
link building strategy.

Article writing is a definite way of getting free traffic.
It is probably the favorite way of many marketers to
generate traffic for their websites. Article writing is fun
- and it's easy too.

Search engines, particularly Google, set great store by one
way links. They indicate to the search engine that your
website is well thought off, and hence provides a good
service to the search engine customers. Search engines love
fresh and creative article content because the people who
use their search engines demand it. Internet users want
information and view it as one large database. Likewise,
the search engines view it as resource for written material.

Web traffic is as important to an online business as
content is to your website. It provides life and
sustenance. Webmasters have a love-hate relationship with
article submission. Some dread article submission because
of the lengthy process of submitting manually to hundreds
of article submission directories, others simply don't have
a flair for writing while others thrive on it.

Web articles are short, usually 500 to 1000 words, to the
point and make their case quickly. They cannot be
long-winded magazine-type articles.Web surfers scan pages,
often choosing headline links almost subconsciously.
Article writing is really a very small task when it comes
to marketing, but it is a very important one. If you are
not seeing the results you need in your business, start
writing. Article writing is not about a particular style
except your own. Use your own voice. Article writing is a
great way to generate quality targeted traffic to a website
especially if the reader finds the information valuable.

Article writing is the backbone to the success of your
internet marketing business. Article writing is not just
about writing highly affirmed dictionary words. It is also
not about the usage and incorporation of "highly
sophisticated" words. Article writing is the fastest way to
make your product known to Internet users without directly
introducing the product's name or the company's name.
Articles communicate through good content and in turn make
good exposure for the product.

Internet marketing is increasingly becoming a popular
marketing strategy. More and more businesses are using
internet marketing to gain recognition and attract more
customers in return.

Internet surfers just can't get enough information on
various fields. Give them what they want and gain their
confidence at the same time by writing articles. Providing
information through these articles is a surefire way to
drive hot traffic to your web site.To increase your website
traffic and profits why don't you give it a go.

Time Management Tips for Busy Businessowners

Time Management Tips for Busy Businessowners
Here's a question I get asked all the time:

"I don't know you how do it, Alicia...with two little ones
to care for and so few hours in the day to actually focus
on your work. Somehow you manage to write your weekly
ezine, hold a bunch of teleseminars each month, run your
10-week group coaching program, AND be creating and
promoting new offers and new products all the time. I'm so
impressed and inspired by you, but more than that, I want
to know how you do it all!?"

To be honest, sometimes I wonder myself! Something I often
say to other, especially new, mothers is, "despite what
everyone tells you to do, do whatever works for YOU." In a
way, that's how I started running my business after I had
my daughter. I just did whatever worked. I still do.

When she got a bit older, it was easier to manage both
being a fulltime mother along with running a successful
business. Then enter baby #2 and it was back to square one.
It's not easy but it is possible. And here's what's really
interesting (mompreneurs, take note): I'm making about $3k
more each month since having my son - and I'm working LESS.

A client recently pointed out to me that it seems the
biggest growths in my business have been when I've been
having babies - and she's right!

Over time, I've figured out how to get the most important
things done while still being able to focus the majority of
my time on my family (after all, that's one of the reasons
why I went into business for myself in the first place).

Here are the top three things that are working for me right
now:

1. Setting my work hours

My typical work day looks like this: I get organized the
night before for the next day. This jump-starts my day and
makes sure that when I do get those tiny pockets of time to
get something done, I know exactly what to do. This makes
me feel like I'm accomplishing stuff in-between having tea
parties, blowing bubbles, crawling around on the floor,
exploring the neighborhood or running errands.

But I don't get any real work done until naptime. I work
for about a total of an hour or so while the kids nap, five
days a week. Then I put in some more time after they go to
bed at night, whether I'm leading a teleseminar or catching
up on emails. My biggest block of focused time, usually
reserved for writing and product creation, is on Saturdays,
when I work approximately 4 hours.

During a perfect week, that would give me about 12 hours of
time dedicated to business. However, there's never a
perfect week (one or the other doesn't nap, I have some
pressing non-business-related task that I can only take
care of when they're sleeping, one of them is sick, etc.),
so my best guess is that this gives me about 8-10
productive hours to work on my business each week.

2. Ignoring the phone

I'm serious when I say that I ignore the phone. Some of my
clients get heart palpitations when I tell them that I
NEVER jump when the phone rings and suggest they do the
same. I don't even have the ringer turned on on the
business line. Does this mean I miss some important calls?
Probably. But my virtual assistant checks my messages in a
timely manner, takes care of what she can, and forwards the
rest to me. I then call people back at a more convenient
time for me.

3. Quick consults

When a prospective client wanted to speak with me about
'just a few questions', I used to gladly schedule a time to
talk. But instead of a few questions, I'd be on the phone
for at least a half hour, basically giving a free
coaching/consulting session, and being frustrated with
myself for not valuing my time more.

And until recently, when a potential client or customer
requested to talk with me further about working with me or
about one of my products, they could schedule a time to
talk for a much smaller fee than my usual hourly rate, and
if they decide to go forward with working with me, they
could apply the fee they paid towards the program or
product they were interested in. It's fair and values both
our time and investment in the process.

Now, however, prospects can talk with my virtual assistant
should they need more information about any of my programs
or products. If someone is interested in working with me
one-on-one, they need to apply for a private coaching spot
and if I feel it's a good fit, we set up an interview to
discuss moving forward.

BONUS: Make and use lists

I'd be lost without my lists! I'd never remember to do
anything if I didn't write it down. I keep a bunch of
reporter's notebooks around the house and anytime I think
of something I need to do, I write it down in whatever room
I'm in - whether it's business or personal. Then I
periodically gather the lists and separate them into three
main lists; personal, business, and other (which includes
the "someday I'd like to..." stuff; things that aren't a
priority but that I want to remember to do at some point),
and check things off in priority order from there.

If you start applying some of these steps now, I guarantee
the number of productive hours you spend on your business
will increase. And you'll also feel less overwhelmed and
lessed stressed about trying to get it all done!

How Important Is Self Motivation To Your Internet Business Success

How Important Is Self Motivation To Your Internet Business Success
The Internet offers some unique advantages over other forms
of making money. One of the most important of these is the
ability to automate many of your day to day tasks. However,
it can become extremely frustrating and may require
self-motivation for you to get things done.

In this article we will take a look at how important self
metal motivation is to your Internet business success.

For the most part when you have an Internet business you
are working alone. Many people cannot handle this
especially if they are used to having day-to-day contact
with co-workers at a job. This is one of the reasons social
networking has become so popular.

When you work at home you're sitting in front of your
computer with no one to tell you what to do. If you do not
have a clear cut goal for why you are doing this you may
find it difficult to stay motivated.

Self motivation must start with you understanding of why
you have an Internet business to begin with. Even more
important than writing down goals is understanding your why.

Many people approach things from a goal setting point of
view and end up with a list of items that they never
achieved. Hopefully I am not describing you here.

An Internet business will be frustrating because many times
you will work long hours and not see the results of your
striving for. You can build the most beautiful website in
the world and never make any sales and wonder why.

Yet if you were to analyze what you would see is that
you're not getting the adequate number of visitors to your
site to be successful to start with. Now this means that
you have to go back and work even harder, which requires
more self-motivation because you are tired and burned out.

When we mentioned automation were talking about utilizing
things such as a blogging platform, an autoresponder, paid
advertising, article submission software, and so on.
Automation will really help you in self motivation because
it allows you to get so much more done quickly than if you
were to try to do everything manually.

There is no doubt that self motivation is important to your
Internet business success. However, the real success
stories on the Internet today are people who feel like they
are not working at all. They do not really have to motivate
themselves because they can hardly wait to sit down and go
to work.

If this describes you then you stand an excellent chance to
be successful online, and self-motivation will not be the
determining factor.

The Lazy Way to Start Your Internet Business

The Lazy Way to Start Your Internet Business
So you've had this bright idea that you're going to make
millions on the web. And like all the other 1.4 billion
people online you've been told how easy it is. You're all
fired up and ready to go. The world is your lobster.

But after a couple of days, when things aren't necessarily
coming together and you start to have doubts and second
thoughts how will you manage the situation. Will you
persevere or fold? Will you sacrifice that drink down the
pub with your mates or convince yourself another day won't
matter?

Because the next thing you realise a month will have passed
by, maybe two and you're nowhere further forward. You've
lost all momentum and focus and you give up. And like the
majority, you'll probably just right-off the money and time
and put it down to experience.

Let's face it. We're all a bit lazy. We want results
without the pain and effort and we want it all now.

So what went wrong? Was it the product? Was it the wrong
time? Was it a lack of money? Was it too time consuming?

Or was it the lack of a realistic strategy? Did you really
understand what you needed to do before you started? Did
you have a realistic plan? Were you unrealistic in your
expectations?

And this is where someone who is perhaps a little lazier
than most may actually be at an advantage. Lazy doesn't
necessarily mean not doing anything at all. Lazy can mean
being more effective by not wasting time and effort on
doing the wrong things at the wrong time. Lazy can mean
spreading out tasks at a more realistic pace and just doing
enough each day

Enthusiasm and dedication could mean weeks researching a
product but leave you completely ignorant of how to market
and sell it. Total commitment may even be detrimental to
your current employment that you'll need to fund you
through your start-up. Over eagerness could lead you
believing you'll be a millionaire overnight when it will
actually take months if not years.

So maybe a more laid back approach is required. Maybe you
should be thinking the lazy man's way?

Start with a simple strategy - preferably copied from
someone has who already made the mistakes you want to avoid
and who actually makes money. Research just enough to know
that your product has a market online. Create a list of the
things that you really must do, not a list of things that
are fun but won't help your business at this time. Develop
a realistic timescale that reflects what you really can
achieve And look for that emotional crutch; someone who
will actually support you in your efforts and not try and
put you down all the time.

Bottom line - It's crucial for any project to have
momentum. We have to push to get things started. But you
have to know where to push and how hard. And you have to
keep pushing at a sustainable pace and not burn yourself
out too quickly
