How Press Releases Support Search Engine Marketing

How Press Releases Support Search Engine Marketing
Press releases are becoming more and more important to your
search engine optimization strategy. Many people prefer to
view them online as a source of information instead of
newspapers and trade publications, especially in the
technical field.

Online audiences are increasingly in control of the
messages they see, and will filter out a lot of advertising
and publications perceived as irrelevant. Plus, it's still
true that PR carries more credibility than advertising.

Increase traffic and link building

A good press release strategy can help increase site
traffic and bring in new leads as effectively as other SEO
tactics. An interesting, well-written press release can
"stick" on web sites for a good long time, creating
valuable publicity and interest in the source.

When your release is picked up by a relevant web site, it
creates an important link back to your site. This can help
boost search engine rankings. So press releases are a good
strategy for your link building efforts.

Know your keywords and your audience

It is critical to include carefully-researched keywords in
the copy--and especially the headline--to be sure you have
an optimized release. It is also important to designate
keywords and take advantage of available RSS feeds when
posting the release to sites such as PRWeb (www.prweb.com).

It is more important than ever to identify and understand
your target audience. This will make decisions about
optimization and distribution of the release much easier
and more effective, and can increase your relevance to the
search engines.

Use your newsroom

As soon as it has been released, you can add important
content to your site by placing each release in your site's
newsroom (if you don't have a newsroom, create one soon) It
can also help to place the headline with a link to the
newsroom on your home page. You might automate this
process. And keep your releases up to date! A prospect
doesn't get a positive first impression from a Latest News
item dated 2006.

Take advantage of blogs

It is also important to post the release to your blog and
include the keywords in the post title. This also increases
relevance and visibility. The number of people using blogs
as a source of news is quickly increasing, and this will
place your news in front of them. A good press release
increases the likelihood of attracting the attention of
people who write news stories because journalists are heavy
readers of good news blogs.

Give them a reason to visit

It may help to include a specific reason in the release for
the reader to visit your site, and make it easy with
imbedded links. For example, RefreshWeb client Clifford Law
Offices (www.cliffordlaw.com) includes a summary
introduction to free legal articles in a press release, and
includes a link to make it simple to visit their site and
finish the article.

How to Start Your Very Own Money Making Website

How to Start Your Very Own Money Making Website
People all across the world are benefiting financially due
to the internet and how it has grown to its massive
proportion. The fact is, it's only getting bigger and more
easy for people to spend money and make money online.
Starting your own website today may provide you with all
you need to financially secure your future. Most people
think that starting up a website is too complex and done
only by trained computer engineers. At one point maybe,
but today the internet is user friendly and anyone can
start up their very own money making website.

The first thing you need to do is figure out exactly what
niche you want your site to be in. Sports, money, books,
animals, schools, etc. Whatever genre you choose does not
matter. There are money making opportunities in any niche
where you think people may be interested in what you can
provide. Whether that be a tangible product or intangible
like information, if you can bring visitors to your website
on a daily basis, you can earn income online.

Once you have your niche selected you need to choose and
register your own domain name. This is the fun part! You
get to choose the name of your very own place on the web.
Many domains are gone so you really have to be creative
with your selection. Of course it goes without saying, but
select it with your niche in mind. For example, if your
niche is dog food, make your domain something like
doggygoodies.com. If you don't know what to choose or if
everything you pick is already in use, www dot yourname dot
com will most likely still be available and always a great
choice.

The next step after choosing your own domain name is to
select a reputable company to host your site. There are
many different hosting choices and each have there own
advantages and disadvantages. The ones that are free
and/or cheap are okay for certain niches but I don't
recommend them because a lot of the times they will require
you to put their ads on your website. Those types of sites
also do not allow you to sell or promote certain things and
will limit you on the amount of space you can use and the
amount of traffic you can receive. Find one whose server
has a reputable history of staying intact and one that will
allow you to have unlimited space and visitors.

The last thing you need to know is how to make your own
website. Advanced knowledge of html is no longer required
but some experience is helpful. There is a lot of free
software that will assist in making web pages. Many are
just as easy to use as Microsoft Word or Excell. Otherwise
you can outsource the dirty work to professionals who will
do a bang up job for a relatively low price. My advice
would be to save the money and learn some basic html. It
really is easy and you should be able to have your own
website up and running after just a couple of hours of
studying.

The steps in this article are very basic but I wanted
people to be aware that it is easy to get your own website.
Not only are normal people making money online, they are
getting rich doing it! The internet and its search engines
has made it possible for the individual person to market to
the entire world! That means if you advertise correctly,
you can make a living with your website and never have to
work for someone ever again!

How Weight Loss Affiliate Programs Can Make You Wealthy Online

How Weight Loss Affiliate Programs Can Make You Wealthy Online
How can you make truckloads of money from a weight loss
affiliate program?

You can do it by creating a consumer review site.

A consumer review site can be a blog or a regular website
where you can review various topics, especially new
products that come out in the marketplace. These products
should be focused on a profitable niche.

By reviewing and recommending products, you'll be able to
get a commission when a customer visits a merchant account
and buys from it.

Weight loss programs are what online marketers call a "hot"
niche. This is because the demand for information on
weight loss is huge online.

It seems that everywhere you look, whether online or
offline, almost everyone is keen to lose weight. If you
are selling any kind of weight loss product, either
directly as a information product creator, or indirectly as
an affiliate, you have a huge, hot, and hungry market (no
pun intended).

One of the easiest marketing strategies that you can use
right now is to start a review site where you research and
critique the best weight loss products available online.
While many of these may be digital, providing information
only, you will also be able to affiliate for companies that
offer drop shipping, and provide various weight loss pills
or powders, even meals.

Here are some tips to make your consumer review site on
weight loss affiliate programs really stand out and be
noticed.

1. Motivate with headlines and subheads for scanners.

On your review site, add exciting headlines and subheads.
Your goal is to make the whole process appear doable.

Here are some examples:

"Your Dieting Days are Over."

"Drink a Shake and Lose Weight."

"Eat a Cookie and Lose Weight."

"Some Fun Ways to Lose Weight."

2. Use a problem-solution focus.

In your reviews, use a problem, and show how the diet
program you are reviewing can solve it.

For example, when you go on a diet, you eventually stop
this highly disciplined form of eating, and your weight
returns!

Another problem is that when people go on diets, they feel
hungry all the time.

3. Create A Contest.

You can ask people to register with you, and post their
current weight. After a diet, they can return and post
their changes. Then award the person who has made the most
changes by paying for their course! Set a timeline. Say
from the beginning and end of the next three months. How
does this work? If 10 people each spend $50 on a product,
the merchant will have made $500. Suppose, your commission
is $25. You will earn $250. Out of this, you will award a
prize of $50. Your total profit is $200. Imagine,
however, if a 100 people were to sign up. Your prize award
will still only be $50. However, your profits will now be
$2,450!

That's it! This is all it takes to start your own consumer
review website around weight loss affiliate programs. Your
subscribers will appreciate your efforts and they will
recommend your site to their friends. It's highly likely
you will get lots of orders for your weight loss affiliate
programs. Get going with this money making idea today!

----------------------------------------------------
Wouldn't it be nice to sit at home and get paid to create
websites that give your opinion. Do you think it's to hard
because you don't know how to build a consumer review site?
Well it's not. Go to

easy it really is.

7 Steps to Creating Info-Packed Teleseminars From Your Articles

7 Steps to Creating Info-Packed Teleseminars From Your Articles
Teleseminars, or workshops conducted over a teleconference
line, are one of the easiest ways to grow a business and
leverage your expertise online. However, when I speak to
clients about using this marketing strategy, many believe
that they don't have enough content to create a powerful
45-60 minute teleseminar. Do you share that same belief?
If you've ever written an article, you've got enough
information to create a teleseminar.

I love to repurpose content, i.e., create something once
and use it again and again for multiple purposes. I've
found the articles I write weekly to be the easiest to
repurpose. The type of article that works best to launch a
teleseminar is a tips article, or one that is written with
numbered points as the body of the article, i.e., 6 Secrets
to, How to Do ... in 10 Easy Steps, etc.

Here's how you can create a teleseminar from one of your
articles:

1. Craft your description and learning bullet points.
Write a one paragraph overview of your teleclass based on
the content of your article and include 3-7 bullet points
(very short descriptions of the bullet points in your
article) outlining what the participants will learn as a
result of participating in your teleseminar. This is the
description you'll use to help you promote your teleseminar.

2. Expand your article bullet points. Participants like
concrete examples, so in your planning process come up with
stories or examples you can share about each point, point
out mistakes people make with this point, and discuss
better strategies to use instead.

3. Craft your introduction. The easiest way to create an
introduction to a teleclass is to tell your participants
what caused you to create it, and then give a synopsis of
what you're going to cover during the teleseminar.

4. Determine your call to action. Typically teleseminars
are part of a larger marketing strategy for an online
business owner: to sell a product or program, to grow a
list, or to create content for an information product.
Determine what you want your call to action to be for your
listeners, and make plans to insert it into to your
teleclass script. Share this call to action with your
participants at the beginning, middle, and end of the call.

5. Format your conclusion. Here's where you again
summarize what your said during the teleseminar, remind
participants of your call to action, and ask for any
questions before closing the call.

6. Develop your script. Now, you have all of the pieces
developed, and it's time to put them together in an outline
or script for yourself. Note your introduction, expanded
bullet points with examples, insert your call to action
several times when appropriate, and end with your
conclusion.

7. Draft a handout. Help your participants remember you
and your presentation. A handout with your contact info is
the best way for them to refer to the material presented.
You can create a study guide which permits them to fill in
the blanks during the course of the teleseminar, a handout
that you send with notes from the teleseminar, or a PDF of
a PowerPoint presentation that you provide before the
seminar. Remember to include your contact information in
your handout as well as your call to action from the
teleseminar.

Now, you have a complete teleseminar that you can use again
and again with different target markets to help you grow
your list, sell your products and services, and establish
yourself as an expert in your chosen field. Take a look at
your article bank and determine what you can repurpose into
powerful teleseminars for your business.

Let's Make Money on the Internet

Let's Make Money on the Internet
Lots of people do it--make money on the internet. Lots of
opportunities are out there-product launches, audio and
video streaming, teleseminars, and joint ventures, just to
name a few. These may be viable options but how do you know
the best and simplest way and where do you begin?

Affiliate Links, Google Adsense and PL Content-These are
options that people on the internet are using to make
thousands of dollars a month without much investment.
Flying to seminars around the country and getting involved
in joint ventures are not necessary. It simply involves
clicking a few links on the internet and receiving money
for doing it.

Let's take a look at Google Adsense. You can raise your
rankings by creating multiple content pages on your
website. Search engines desire good content and a lot of
it. The search engine spiders crawl the site. They will
then follow each link to more content.

So when you place Adsense ads on the multiple pages, you
will get a commission from Google every time someone clicks
the Adsense links. The readers do not even have to purchase
anything. The money you receive is determined by the number
of times that readers click the links and can be anywhere
from a few pennies to several dollars.

Next all you need is the content. Some people can write
their own, but most of us are not that skilled at writing.
For those of us that are not good writers, there is an
option to use articles written by other people. You can
find thousands of articles in the popular article
directories.

To use the articles, you often don't even need to buy them,
but you must include the resource box with each article. It
works very well because you do not even need to promote
your own product.

One problem that you may encounter, however, is that the
reader may be more likely to click the link in the resource
box and not the Adsense links. If this happens you will not
get the commission.

The best alternative to this happening is to use Private
Label Rights articles. These articles can be your own
design by just doing some editing. You will therefore not
be competing with another writer and the reader will
consider you as the expert.

If you put your own resource box on the page, it will link
to an affiliate program, and you will be able to increase
the money you make. The reader can click the Adsense link
or the affiliate link and either one will benefit you. Best
of all, you won't have to even deal with a product of your
own to make money. By following these guidelines of using
Google Adsense, affiliate links, and content, you can join
the thousands who make money using the internet and do it
in a simple and inexpensive way.

The Importance Of Online Social Networking To Your Internet Business

The Importance Of Online Social Networking To Your Internet Business
The aim of this article is to explain exactly what online
social networking is, highlight its dramatic worldwide
growth and explain why it is an essential tool in the
promotion of every home based internet business.

So what is Social Networking? Social networking is the
interaction of groups of individuals brought together by a
common interest(s). The internet has taken this trend to a
whole new level as websites have sprung up over recent
years covering almost every topic imaginable.

Most people had probably not heard of the Facebook and
MySpace social networking sites until quite recently. But
in just a few short years they have built memberships or 39
and 206 million individuals respectively.

The average Westerner has more friends than two years ago
and this rise is attributed to the explosion in these
online social networking sites, coupled with the
communication phenomena such as email and instant
messaging. This industry is growing at a rate of 47% a
year and currently reaches 45% of web users.

Developing your social networking skills is imperative for
every modern day internet business owner, if you are
looking for a constant flow of visitors to your website.
One very powerful aspect of online social networking is the
"blog". A blog is a website where entries are written in
date order with the most recent entry or post at the top of
the page and the oldest towards the bottom. The aim of the
blog is to provide commentary or news on a particular
subject of interest to you.

A blog is a wonderful tool for exposing your business to
the online world. Keep your content fresh and update it
regularly as this is what search engines love; this will
help generate a higher search engine ranking for your blog
once indexed. You can mention anything on your blog such
as a new product launch for your business, a monthly
promotion or something as simple as congratulating one of
your team members on their recruitment efforts.

The interactive nature of blogs and online social
networking sites keeps visitors coming back again and
again. Therefore, the more you expose your business by
using these methods, the greater the income you will
ultimately generate for yourself.

Online social networking can be a powerful tool for your
business if you use it in the right way. If you are new to
this phenomenon, try and get to grips with it as quickly as
possible by doing some in depth research. Register
accounts with some of the popular top social networking
sites and start posting regularly on your blog.

These incredible social networking trends show every sign
of continuing for years to come and they will continue with
or without your inclusion. So, get involved immediately
and start a fresh torrent of visitors to your business.

Five Benefits of Running an Online Business

Five Benefits of Running an Online Business
Suffice to say, more hard working entrepreneurs are looking
to start their businesses online than ever before. Instead
of setting up a physical shop, they're opting for a virtual
store that displays their products and interacts with the
customers. But is this really the best way to become a
successful business? Here are five benefits of running an
online business and why you might want to get started too.

Low Start Up Costs

When you're trying to open up a physical location, you have
one major expense - purchasing or leasing the space. Along
with this expense, you need to have insurance, licenses,
etc. But when you start an online business, you don't have
to have anything more than an idea and access to the
internet. This significantly reduces your expenses and
causes you to be able to gain profits more quickly.

Easy to Do

By simply getting a website started, you will be ready for
the online business world. You simply need to be able to
access your customers through the online virtual
marketplace and then you can begin to sell whatever it is
you are deciding to sell. By working with website building
videos or attempting the process on your own, you will be
able to create your 'store' in a matter of days - without
the hassles that a physical store might create.

You Set Your Hours

When you are working for yourself, you're the only one you
need to answer to (besides your customers). This makes
your schedule completely dependent on when you want to work
and how much money you want to make. If you already have
another job, you can easily start up an online business at
the same time, helping to make for an easier transition
from one job to the next. You can work early in the
morning, late at night, or you can keep your regular 9 to 5
schedule. So long as you are available on your website
when your customers expect you to be there, or you set up
ways for your customers to contact you, you only need to
work when YOU want to.

You are the Creative Force

So often in traditional jobs, you hear that workers don't
like the fact that their ideas aren't taken seriously.
They don't have as much say in the job creation process,
nor do they seem to have a lot of chances to speak up. When
you are creating your online business, you get to be the
one that comes up with ideas and then implements them. If
you decide to change your mind about the direction of your
business, then you can do so. If you should decide to do
something completely different or to close up shop, that's
your decision too.

You Have Access to More Customers

The truth is that online businesses are simply a better
investment of your time because you can access customers
from all over the globe. Instead of being limited to your
geographic location, you get to take orders from people on
the other side of the country, as well as the world,
improving your chances of making profits. This also allows
you to find out what else you can add to your business as
you will have access to more comments from more customers.
Instead of limiting your business to the needs of your
city, you can create a company that addresses the needs of
the world.

When it comes to the decision of whether or not to run an
online business, the decision is clear. When you want to
find a job that's fulfilling, easy to start, light on the
initial investment, and accessible to more customers,
working from home, from your website is the perfect
solution.

The Secret of Customer Appreciation

The Secret of Customer Appreciation
Typically during the months of November, December, and
January, online business owners feel the urge to say "thank
you" -- to their blog/ezine readers, to their clients and
customers, and to their business colleagues. In recent
years, this often means sending a mass email card to an
email mailing list, which, if you're on the receiving end
of such a missive, feels about as personal as junk mail
addressed to "Occupant." Snail mail cards are not much
better because the majority of those cards contain an
imprinted greeting along with a business name and nothing
else.

Using this strategy to recognize and thank your contacts
can completely backfire, if you're not careful. Rather
than feeling recognized, your recipient may simply become
jaded and wonder why you bothered, especially if they
haven't heard from you in awhile, or if you didn't take the
time to jot a personal note.

What should your rule of thumb be when saying thanks or
giving recognition to your customers and contacts? If you
don't know someone well enough to pick up the phone and
call him or to drop a letter in the mail to her, don't
bother sending a thank you at all. I realize that this
flies in the face of common marketing strategy, which
encourages small businesses owners to use the holiday
season as an excuse to "reach out and touch" their contact
database. However, you must realize that if your business
is doing this, so are 10 other businesses also used by your
contact.

How can you make your business "thank you" stand out in the
crowd? Make it personal -- and unique.

I recently received a very unique postcard and enclosure
from newsletter coach and designer Jessica Albon of
TheWriteExposure.com. What made this holiday greeting
noteworthy? It...

1. was addressed to me in a unique, eye-catching font.

2. had a rubber stamp image on the back of the envelope.

3. made references to her dog, Izzy.

4. provided me with a doggie treat recipe and a people
recipe, as well.

5. had a doggie treat enclosure in a hand-made envelope.

6. contained a personal, handwritten message from Jessica
that contained my name.

Amazingly enough, there was no mention of her business.
Why? Because I know Jessica well enough that no reminder
of what she does is necessary. This was a brilliant
marketing strategy on Jessica's part (even if she didn't
plan it that way) because I felt noticed and special as the
recipient of this mailing. I never thought about whether
she sent this to 20 people or 120 people -- it was unique
and personalized enough that I felt I was the only
recipient.

It's amazing the effect you can have when you personalize
your appreciation. When I was living in Adams, MA, I was a
regular subscriber to the local daily newspaper. The
delivery service had always been iffy, at best, sometimes
arriving early, sometimes late, sometimes not at all, and
sometimes in places where I didn't find the paper until
several days later. However, that all changed one month,
and the service became impeccable. The paper was always
placed on the arms of my mailbox where I could find it, was
bagged if it were inclement weather so it wouldn't get wet,
and was always promptly delivered.

I know that most of the time the paper hired junior high
students to do the route, as the job was a good first job
for them to have to give them a little income. Sometimes
people who were a little down and out would take the job to
help them make ends meet until they again found gainful
employment. I really didn't know who was delivering my
paper, but I decided that I wanted to thank the person for
doing such a great job.

I called the newspaper office and asked for my carrier's
name and contact info and then proceeded to call my
carrier. When he picked up the phone, I told him who I was.
He immediately wanted to know what problem there had been
with my paper delivery. I told him that I didn't have a
problem, but was simply calling him to thank him for doing
such an awesome job and that my delivery was the best it
had ever been in the entire time I'd subscribed to this
newspaper.

There was a very long pause, as though he were at a loss
for words. "Oh," he said, "I thought you were calling
about a problem with me. That's why people usually call."
Then he uttered a "thank you" and we ended the call.

Now, I don't know if I made his day or put him into shock.
I hope I did a little of both. My newspaper service
continued to be outstanding until he left the position to
do something else. I felt really wonderful the rest of that
day, because I chose to think I'd made a small difference
in his life that day by just telling him "thanks for doing
such a great job".

Never underestimate the power of a personal "thank you."
Spending your time to convey your personal thanks and
appreciation in a personal fashion will pay off for you
more in the long run than spending the same amount of time
in conveying your thanks with some impersonal, automated
gesture.

Choosing The Right Business...

Choosing The Right Business...
Starting a home based business is very easy. For sure I
know, I started it just like drinking a cup of coffee in
the livingroom. It doesn't surprise you that I failed
miserably. Now I know a lot more and maybe I am at the
right time, at the right place (your computer screen) with
this article before you considering a home business. If
not, then I hope you were honest to yourself in choosing
the right one.

What do I mean with that? A home business is a business
where most of the work is done at home. That can be offline
or online. By offline I mean advertising in newspapers,
magazines, calling prospects on the phone, etc. (you don't
need an internet connection). By online I mean, every
marketing is done with an internet connection, through
email, the internet, writing articles online, etc.

It seems a long time ago when I was invited to a hotel
meeting of a MLM-company with health and wellness products.
I had really no clue what this business meant, the only
thing I wanted was information about high quality
supplements. To be honest, it was a perfect meeting, they
created in me the urgency to buy. A couple of hours later,
I thought I won the lottery including sample products of
the supplements I needed. One week later I became a
distributor in a MLM-company and had really no clue of what
I had to do. For now I spare you all details (about the
warm market, 3-way calling, whole world is a prospect) but
I think many, many people are enrolled in this particular
way. This is how the companies are making the big bucks.

So, how many times have we got involved in a wrong company?
When we look back and asked ourselves, how did I ever
enroll in that company? Most of us get involved and see a
great opportunity with tons of money. They jump in and are
not evaluating the business/company;

* Home business with a MLM-company: Always a residual
income, we are getting paid tomorrow on today's efforts.
Goal = long term, 10 - 20 years or longer. Company must
have longevity. This is not 'Direct Cash'.

* Home business with a retail company: One time commission,
getting paid today on today's efforts. Goal = short term, 5
years.

Select a business, process can take weeks. Do you need
money right now, start with a retail-company. For the
longterm, a MLM-company is a real good possiblity. If you
decide which kind of company, try to find a good training
organisation to guide and train you in the home business.
Treat the business as your own business and lead with the
product and/or service, not the opportunity.

Why Information Products Sell Like Hot Cakes on eBay

Why Information Products Sell Like Hot Cakes on eBay
EBay is the best auction site that enables anyone to make
money. Don't be baffled! It is true and 100% possible to
make money from auction giant eBay without having any
product to sell through it. Surprising, isn't it? In a
business, you are usually required to sell a product, but
this all a thing of the past and though many may influence
you into believing this, it is only to prevent you from
stealing their business away.

Don't worry; believe in eBay business as many people are
doing day in and day out because they know how to sell
information products through eBay. At some point, you may
have already accessed the eBay auction site where the
seller only exchanges some downloadable product. You may
wonder what sort of business is this that offers product
for such low price! There can be two answers to this:

#The seller does not have clue of what he or she is doing
and then suffers loses.

# The seller is highly experienced and makes thousands of
dollars even if his or her auction shows low sales.

Sounds wacky, doesn't it? Especially when you are newbie in
this information selling business, but it is true and you
can make a fortune if you sell information products through
eBay. EBay uses information products as back end sales and
they might sometimes sell 10 copies of an e-book and might
sometimes end up making minor profits or just break even
when compared to the cost of the ebook. The best part of
this business is that the sellers know everything and they
have 10 highly qualified prospects for every product.

Buyers follow the plan and purchase the hosting domain name
as directed by the seller. This enables the seller to make
some fast money in the form of commission on domain name
registration and recurring commission on the hosting as the
long as the buyers Internet business sticks around. If you
wish to try this business strategy then you should start by
trying the Goggle for re- brandable ebooks with resale
rights. You can also search eBay for such products and
remember many people are making money through this process.

If you wish to optimize your sales strategy, then you
should always keep your prices low and your goal should be
to use eBay as a medium to sell ebooks free of cost or at
low prices. If you sell an ebook that includes no back end
sales or any affiliate links, then your goal should be to
sell the powerful system to the customers to help him or
her make money and in return earn your due income by
sticking to the system that generates money for you!
