As I began my investigation into Passport to Wealth and
whether or not it was a scam or legitimate opportunity, I
found some very interesting points about the upsides and
downsides of this opportunity.

The creator of passport to wealth is a fellow by the name
of Darren Gaudry. What he did was essentially copy edc
gold, another company and direct competitor in the home
business industry. You see, they both offer the exact same
product line as well as the exact same 2 pass up sale
compensation plan. One really nice attribute about the
compensation plan is that they do offer a 100% commission
of $997 for every product package sold.

The product package presented contains a multitude of
different software and audio books that can be utilized for
anything from building websites to creating and uploading
audio and video to your site.

If you are brand new to internet marketing you may be
confused about what a 2 sale pass up compensation plan is
exactly. The 2up simply entails you passing your first two
sales and commissions of $997 each (which comes to about
$2000) to your sponsor before actually making any money.
These are considered qualifying sales.

The downfall of a 2 up comp plan:

If a new person does happen to make two sales, they then
breakaway from the person who brought them into the program
and are then qualified to earn a 100% commission from sales
then on.

It sounds great, but when you take a closer look, it can
mean disaster for that person. You see, what happens many
times when they breakaway from their sponsor, they get no
more support or training. This is because the sponsor no
longer earns any commission on their efforts and so
therefore has no incentive to help them continue to make

become direct competition for each other and therefore

some good software products to offer consumers and software

Strategy Paper for Overcoming DTAG Market and Technology
Advantage

This paper was created for a venture capital company and
subsequently used to target cable accessible markets in
Germany. The paper has been parsed in this forum to
separately cover Digital TV, Broadband Data, Video on
Demand, Telephony, Interactive TV, Gaming and Colocation.

TELEPHONY

Telephony is another DTAG strongpoint. However, telephony
has the potential to be just as ubiquitous a service within

4. Reduced costs on DTAG and mobile calls.

Through legislation, the enterprise must insure that DTAG
is withheld from offering predatory pricing. In addition,
the enterprise should approach the Bundestag for telephone
tariff legislation allowing it to charge more money to
carriers who connect to it to complete calls, than it pays
to carriers to complete it's calls. The EU precedent for
this has already been set in Belguim.

Much of the infrastructure needed for Telephony is also
needed for Broadband Data and VOD, hence costs can be
amortized across systems. The enterprise should also study
whether call centers, help desks, etc. would subscribe to
an outsourced call routing system comparable to commercial
ACRs with queues. Telephony options (through technology)
can then be offered to business consumers and used as a
profit center.

The technology needed for this is conventional telephony
(SS7, SPDs, etc.) for DTAG and other pure POTS type of
carriers, and VOIP in order to take advantage of the lower
costs offered by this technology. The technology for POTS
and VOIP operations is reliable, cost effective and widely
known outside of Germany.

Extraordinary costs entailed would be for marketing,
consumer awareness, consumer education and sales. Bundling
this product with cable tv, and using existing cable
consumer notification processes would somewhat lower
customer acquisition costs.

affiliate I.D. and insert his or her own.

best on the market.

In another scenario, which although unethical isn't
technically fraud, a customer of yours, once on the
publishers site could simply click an available link and
sign up as an affiliate themselves and purchase under his
or her own I.D. instead of yours. Some of the things a
publisher can do to protect their affiliate's commissions
from this kind of dealing would be to find ways to make it
less probable that someone will see the links.

They can put the links on a page that is separate from the
ordering pages. Make certain that these are pages that a
search engine will not try to index. As an example, you
could put the links on the FAQ's page. You can also set up
pages separate from the ordering areas where the affiliate
program is explained and visitors to your site are told
that the program is available and they only need to contact
you for further information. Another solution would be a
separate page that the affiliates link to, which would
still have all of your information and the order link,
leaving your vendor page intact where you could safely have
things like the sign up link for new affiliates since the
buyers sent by your affiliates would not end up on that
page.

they can earn a living without ever having to create a

Provide Affiliates with Marketing Materials

Here's another big one. Site owners get people to sign up
to their affiliate program and then just leave them to it.
It's like they're saying "thanks for signing up, now go and
make me some cash". That's ridiculous. You need to do all

Provide your affiliate with email promotions, articles,

they have sold a few of your products they will be keen to
promote all your products.

Another great method you can use with this is having a
weekly completion. Each week your affiliate who earns the
most get's an extra one hundred dollars or whatever you can
afford. Mention the winner in each week's newsletter and
say things like "who thinks they can overtake Joe Boggs as
being my top affiliate? Come on guys I know I've got some
great marketers signed up as my affiliates prove it and
I'll mention you in next week's newsletter".

This is great. Psychologically you are motivating your
affiliates to promote your products like crazy to get
recognition as being your "top gun". Often ego trips are
just as motivating as money.
