Let's Talk About Webpage Domain Name Registration Reasons and Services

Let's Talk About Webpage Domain Name Registration Reasons and Services
First and foremost is that the Internet is not passé
and experiencing a downward trend. The fact is its still
growing at an astounding daily rate. Most people modern
day are computer savvy and a very large majority now
actually research a product or information online before
making a decision to purchase. If you're thinking about
starting or expanding a business opportunity on the
Internet the time is right. The first step is to register
your business name, even before you complete building your
a website.

Some of the most basic and understood reasons for wanting
to register an independent domain name are as follows;

1. Unique identity. Many search engines will no longer list
redundant affiliate Websites as they see them all as simply
the same Website which would inundate and clutter their
directory. Additionally, Internet surfers are not looking
for replicated sites and would search using a service that
provides the best and most varying information for a
customer's valuable time. With a personal domain name
however, you get Websites listed in search engines,
increased exposure and subsequently generate more free
traffic and sales for the site you work so hard to put up
in the forefront.

2. Professionalism. Customers seek out professional
companies offering quality products and services. A
personal domain offers and presents a professional image,
prestige, and invaluable credibility. A personal domain
allows the webmaster to customize, add, alter, include or
delete and present their products and services in the
manner they specifically choose.

3. Another words, Control. The Webmaster (you) have
complete control as to what your site looks like and what
information it contains.

4. Short, sweet address. Instead of having to advertise
long, hard-to-remember URLs, you, can create an
easy-to-remember domain name (e.g. www.MyBusiness.com).
From there, building a Website with links to your
Gateway(s) or, in the case of affiliate sites you wish to
promote is a simple matter. You can easily set a personal
domain to automatically redirect (referred to as "URL
forwarding") to a favorite Gateway or any other site. For
example, you could advertise a name like
www.OurBusiness.com, but when your prospects enter that
URL, they'll be automatically be redirected to the Gateway
of your choosing.

5. A Permanent address. With a personal domain, you and
your family or business can have permanent, lifetime e-mail
addresses that you'll never have to change. Likewise,
you'll be able to create exactly the e-mail addresses you
want (e.g. YourFirstName@YourDomain.com,
Info@YourDomain.com, MyBusiness.com,
Support@YourDomain.com, etc.).

Like everything, not all similar services and products are
created equally. You do in fact get what you pay for.
Domain registrations can go from $1.99 up to and exceed $30
annually. Check the fine print and be sure you know
exactly the benefits each registrar has to offer. There is
some pretty common ground out there among the competition.

Some offer you hosting as well (a place to park your
Webpage). Web hosting packages include storage, email
accounts, domain and more services to consider for your
complete business needs! Some sell you a domain name at a
highly affordable rate but you might just be sacrificing
the ability to transfer your new domain name to another
hosting service so again, read the small print if you have
other plans and services already in place.

Many domain services allow you to keep your contact
information updated easily by using their Domain Management
System. You will also be able to renew your domain name and
update the Domain Name Servers (DNS information). By using
your unique username and password established when you
registered the domain name with their company.

The domain registrar that I personally use has some unusual
features such as Word Wizard which allows me to use the
name of a major city or state as part of a domain name to
make it memorable. The Word Wizard combines my keyword
with either category to create a domain name. Then to
there is a function called Domain Twist where if you are
having trouble coming up with an available name, the Domain
Twist takes words and gives them a twirl to come up with
variations of the original name. A function that I
particularly like is in an instance where if you already
own a domain name that you registered using another
registrar you can save money by taking advantage of their
low transfer price. An added benefit to transferring your
domain to the service I use is that they will also add one
year to the original registration term you had with the
company you are transferring you domain name from.

They also let me search and register a maximum of 30
domains at one time and register variations of my primary
domain names to avoid confusion and copycat sites. Best of
all now that we all deal with international customers (and
I have personally not found it anywhere else) is the
ability to create domain names in Korean, Japanese,
traditional and simplified Chinese characters. This
function means the name you create will work just like any
English-character name in that you can enter it into your
browser and be taken to the corresponding website.

So, in a nut shell we talked about the advantages of
registering a personal domain name and covered some limited
information about the services domain registers offer.
Most importantly, we addressed some unique features offered
by the domain registrar I'm thrilled to be associated with
and just had to share. You can find out more about my
domain service that I'm excited about by visiting the link
I placed in the resource box following this article. But
in conclusion I'll say for the third time, read the fine
print to ensure they offer you everything you need as well.

Six Ways to Make Your Online Business Fresh

Six Ways to Make Your Online Business Fresh
While it's no secret that online businesses are the wave of
the future, doesn't it seem like some businesses are
constantly staying ahead of everyone else, while others lag
behind, looking out of date and irrelevant? When you're
trying to create a successful online business, you can't
afford to seem like you're falling behind the rest of the
virtual 'pack,' so what can you do? Here are six ways to
make sure that your online business stays current and fresh
- no matter what you sell.

Have a Timeless Idea

Though you might be selling the latest popular products on
the market right now, that's not always the best investment
for the future. Because times and trends will change, you
need to be selling something that will never go out of
style or fall out of use. Of course, you can't guarantee
anything, so you might want to simply try to address a
timeless idea. For example, you might want to create a
business that helps people save time - that's always
something that a customer will pay for.

Change Up Your Website

When you change your website from time to time, you will
show the customers that you are interested in being
innovative - even if you simply just change the colors or
the layout. Try to add new pictures or fresh articles to
your website to help make the content new and different.
This will keep people coming back to your business site to
see what else you might have changed when they were away.

Update your Products

You don't have to change what you sell in order to be
relevant, but you should try to update your products from
time to time. For example, if you are selling customized
beauty products, you might want to change the labeling or
the packaging occasionally. You can also try taking out
certain ingredients or adding new ingredients to help make
your product better. Try listening to what your customers
want (and don't want) in your products, and see how you can
address their needs.

Focus on New Selling Points

With nearly any product, there are going to be several
reasons why a customer should buy it. It might be the
latest design, it might offer a lighter weight, etc.
Create a list of the good qualities for each of your
products and then be sure to focus on only one of those
qualities at a time, then switch up your website writing to
show this change in focus. This will make your products
always seem new and exciting because they always have
something different to offer a customer.

Take it into Real Life

By heading to a sales convention or a trade show from time
to time, you will continue to show that your business is
innovative and accessible to your customers. Show them new
things that you are selling or simply give customers a
chance to see who you are. These shows can not only
provide you with access to new customers, but also to
networking opportunities and ideas about how others are
keeping things fresh.

Have Press Releases

When you announce big ideas about your business, your
customers will see that you are always trying something
new. Of course, you will need to follow through on what
you release in these statements, but you can simply write
up a summary of the newest innovations and post it on your
website for your customer to view. This will show that you
are always going to have something exciting to share - even
if it's just a small change to your product line.

Can You Really Make Money Online For Free

Can You Really Make Money Online For Free
I have written about this before, but it is time to bring
it up again. Can you really expect to make money online for
free?

Think about this. If everything is free how do you make
money. I just checked Google and Wordtracker and here is a
few very common phrases that are searched everyday online...

make money for free make money online for free
make money from home for free how to make money
for free make money at home for free how to make
money online for free make money on the internet for
free how to make money on the internet for free

O.K. let's say you join a bunch of free programs online. At
this point your only investment is the time you took to
sign up. How much money has the person who you joined made?

- Zero-

How much money has the company you joined with made? Again
the answer is zero! What are your chances of being
successful with this company. Pretty close to zero if you
attract people like yourself.

In the offline world people use to make fun of salesmen or
sales ladies. Not me because I was in that profession and I
understood that if nothing ever was sold no one had a job.
Not the receptionist, not the warehouse person, not the
factory worker, delivery person, or not even the CEO and
V.P's

Affiliate marketing is an industry that you can start in
for free. Most affiliate programs charge nothing to join.
They give you everything you need to succeed. Or do they?

Probably not, because they best affiliate marketers are
people who buy the product and promote it through
pre-selling. They write about their personal experiences.
They have their own websites and blog to sell off of.

They do not use the free website each affiliate merchant
gives them. And why would they want to promote a website
that is exactly the same as thousands of other affiliates.
Where is the competitive advantage in that!

The reason affiliate marketing and network marketing have
such a high failure rate is because of the type of people
it attracts. Building a group of people who search the
words make money for free gives you a group of people who
complain way more than they will ever achieve.

These type of people wander aimlessly along the internet
super highway looking for something for nothing.

I am here to tell you there is no free lunch on the
internet. Nobody makes any money unless there is a sale
made. PERIOD! I will say it again. Until something is sold
there is no income produced.

Forget about making money online for free. You are going to
have to invest time and some money before you will ever
make any money on the internet.

Things like domain names, hosting, autoresponders, traffic
exchanges, pay per click advertising, ezine advertising,
classified advertising, and so on are not going to work if
you are only looking for the FREE angle.

Make money online for free does not work for the average
person.

7 Critical Questions You Must Ask About Any Home-Based Business Opportunity

7 Critical Questions You Must Ask About Any Home-Based Business Opportunity
SPECIAL REPORT

7 Questions You Must Ask - And Receive Acceptable Answers
To - About Any Home-Based Business Opportunity

Ads for business opportunities abound. Unfortunately, so
does the potential for unsuspecting would-be entrepreneurs
to lose their shirts.

While there is no such thing as a no-risk business
decision, asking yourself the following questions will help
you look before your leap and avoid costly mistakes. Use
this short report to catalyze your thought process about
whether the business opportunity you're considering makes
sense for you.

1. Is it credible? Many business opportunity ads talk
about "automated" ways to make $1,000,000 in your sleep
within 8 hours," and so forth. That's an example of an
unrealistic description that you should run, not walk, away
from! Look for a system that describes a realistic range
of results; meaning that you can learn how much money the
most successful people make as well as the less successful,
or struggling members make. Look for other credible
evidence, such as believable testimonials showing the range
of results, or other forms of proof. No, you can't believe
in everything you read or see online, but also know that
the FTC regulates advertising and does a decent job
policing ads making false claims. So most ads you see that
make certain claims actually are fact-based; otherwise,
the advertisers would be subject to huge fines and, perhaps
jail time.

2. Is the "thing" legitimate - a value? Most home-based
network marketing systems train you to sell a product or
service. You need to figure out what that product or
service is and cast a skeptical eye onto it. Is it a
product in a growing industry? Is it something that
millions of people need? Does it match up well with
predicted business or demographic trends? If the answer is
"no" to any of these questions, I'd be concerned.

3. Do they provide training? This is big. Many home-based
business advertisers spend all of their time and resources
to get you in the door and invest in their product; then,
once you're in, the vanish faster than Brittney Spears'
credibility?! You should find out what type of training
the business offers. Preferably it's convenient,
continuous and ongoing. And it breaks down EXACTLY the
action steps you must take to achieve success. If you have
a question, how will you get it answered? The best
programs provide an overwhelming amount of training, more
training than you can ever possibly take advantage of.

4. This question is a little more tricky because it
considers intangible factors. What do they "seem" like -
what kind of feel do you get from the leaders within the
company? I don't know about you, but I'm extremely put off
when I hear or see rah-rah, pump you up screaming like a
banshee? Remember the late comedian Chris Farley's
motivational speaker character, Matt Foley (you know, the
one who "lived in a van down by the river?") I'm not
saying that a little motivational speaking is bad, but how
do the public faces of the company sound to you? Look for
positive, motivated guys who have a lot of substance to
offer; i.e. a reason for being positive - not smoke and
mirrors. The only credible reason to be pumped up and
emotional in my opinion is because you're working the
system and getting great leads.

5. Is the earning potential a match for your goals? Is the
plan realistic? This is another question that your gut
feeling should help you answer, but you should also use
your common sense. If your goal is to earn an extra
$5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 per month, what specific actions
must you take? Is is something realistic and that you're
willing to do? Or, when you break it down, will you need
to do something completely unpalatable like make 571 phone
calls a day or some other private hell.

6. Is the lifestyle necessary to achieve your goals a good
match? This question picks up the previous one. There are
many ways to make money. Some of them involve doing things
I'm personally not willing to do. For example, cold calling
or other forms of chasing prospects. Or having overhead.
Or employees.

7. This is the final, but perhaps most critical, question:
Is there really a system? Understand what I mean. If you
don't have a system, you don't have a business, you have a
job. A system will produce a steady, reliable stream of
prospects, and income, day in, day out, without much or any
intervention on your part. The more manual labor you must
do, the less of a system you have. If you don't have a
system, then you will be stuck doing the same tasks and
actions over and over, instead of focusing on the important
activities, like marketing to bring in more business and
income for you. This means you must automate as much of
the process as possible.

I hope you keep these questions on the top of your brain
next time if you're considering investing in a home-based,
network marketing, MLM or other business opportunity.

A Good Reason To Choose A Reputable Affiliate Program

A Good Reason To Choose A Reputable Affiliate Program
If you are an affiliate for reputable affiliate companies,
you will be able to make money online without needing to
worry about whether you are going to get paid by the
affiliate company. When dealing with reputable affiliate
companies you can also be assured the products you promote
will give high levels of customer satisfaction, thereby
ensuring you can earn a healthy level of commission.

Working with a reputable affiliate program will give you a
problem-free way to make money online. If, however, you
happen to pick an affiliate company which is less than 100%
reputable, your career as an affiliate could become far
from problem-free. I don't mean scam companies who set out
to cheat you out of your commission or who fool you into
promoting a worthless product. I mean the sort of company
that will fill your affiliate marketing career with petty
annoyances and waste your valuable time.

There are many reputable affiliate programs online. For
instance, I am an affiliate for the Plugin Profit Site,
SFI, Host4Profit, Clickbank, Commission Junction,
Share-a-Sale and several others. These companies all pay
me as soon as commissions are due. In fact, they are so
reliable, I became too complacent about my monthly receipts.

One day I suddenly realised that another affiliate company
I had been working for had never paid me even though I had
been making sales for them for a few months, and they owed
me getting on for $2000. I kicked myself for not keeping a
closer watch on my receipts and, after that, I made sure I
had a system to track outstanding commissions.

I thought I would probably have to write off the money I
was owed by this company but, I emailed the owner to ask
when I was going to get paid, and I was very lucky to
receive the full amount owed almost by return.

The next month, everyone paid me apart from that particular
affiliate company. This time two or three reminders were
needed before the payment was sent. The following month,
when I chased up payment, I was told a check had already
been posted out to me. The check didn't turn up, so I had
to wait while it was cancelled and a fresh check was cut
and posted out.

Now it might have been true that a check got lost in the
post, but that situation is one of the oldest stalling
tactics in the book, so naturally my suspicions were
aroused. It became pretty clear that I would have to chase
that affiliate company for commission payments every single
month. I could also see from my books that it was taking
longer each month to actually get the money they owed me.

I don't know what the problem was; maybe the company owner
was just disorganised but I did know that I didn't need
the extra work and hassle of having to chase them for
payment every single month. Although I liked the products
that affiliate company offered, I stopped working with
them. All the other reputable affiliate companies I work
with can manage to pay commissions on time without any
prompting, so it can't be terribly difficult.

When you are looking for products to promote, always check
out the affiliate company to see what other affiliates are
saying about it and avoid any where complaints seem genuine
and large in number. There are plenty of reputable
affiliate companies around, so you don't need to get
involved with scams or time-wasters.

Is Big Ticket To Wealth Really That Unique?

Is Big Ticket To Wealth Really That Unique?
I am a big fan of businesses that are revolutionary.
Whatever the company may be, the products must have
something really unique or the compensation plan is never
done before.

Here are some features what my home business must provide;

Directly payments! There is NO waiting for your
commissions. You receive them in minutes via electronic
deposit, and where a customer prefers to pay by money order
- your portion is sent by FedEx Courier directly to you
from the customer.

Legitimacy. It facilitates the movement and distribution of
real 'in demand' products ranging from valuable software
products, tools & resources to expensive flash video
products. The company must be a worldwide distributor of
these products. In fact, many of the customers will pay for
the products and never have the intention to market the
business plan.

No ceiling to the amount of income I generate. Of course,
the amount of income you generate depends on you, and
whether you treat your business like a business.

A sales & support model that either eliminates or minimizes
the need for personal selling, cold calls, performing sales
presentations, etc because the company and/or the marketing
methods we teach do most of that for you.

A private back office, in where it contains a buffet of
tools and resources that will enhance and empower your
ability to earn money both on and offline. Your personal
sponsor is there to support you too. Since he/she receives
override commissions on every piece of business that you
will do, they are incentivized to do everything they can to
empower you towards experiencing increased earnings
yourself. Think about that - when they succeed in helping
you to make a few sales each month - they earn thousands of
additional dollars themselves! It's the fairest and most
equitable support structure in the world: people helping
people, and being handsomely rewarded for doing so. You
have this same incentive to help the people whom you bring
into the system too. In addition, the company must offer
daily conference calls & webinars multiple days each week.

A test drive. That is FREE and there is no obligation to
join. You may register to take a Free Test Drive on your
prospective sponsor's replicated company web site. Although
you are required to set up an account at the time of the
test drive, you are not required to pay for anything in the
free test drive.

To conclude after reviewing, these features are the better
money making opportunities online. I expect this to be the
prototype from which future programs are modeled or they
won't be able to compete with it.

Why RSS May Be The Email Killer - Part 2

Why RSS May Be The Email Killer - Part 2
In the first part of this article we discussed the three
compelling features of RSS that will lure the mases of
content seekers.

Namely, embedded video, 100% deliverability and spam-free
information management.

But, before any of us permanently trades in our email
account for an RSS Reader, a few things need to happen.

Until then, we will be doing double-duty... checking both
our Inbox and our latest feeds.

WHAT RSS NEEDS BEFORE IT KILLS EMAIL

1. RSS Content Clients (like Outlook for RSS) As it stands,
messages which are sent via RSS are usually composed inside
some sort of blog or other similar content management
system and published to the world. All the folks who have
requested the RSS "feed" then receive that message into the
RSS reader they check whenever it is convenient for them.
Generally speaking, the entire group of subscribers gets
every message.

Now, imagine a software application that works like an
email client such as Outlook that allows you to create a
message, format it, add video and audio and then send it to
just one (or a selected group) of subscribers via RSS...
All without having to publish that content to the world.

This would be the silver bullet solution to all the woes of
email.

2. RSS to One or Selected Groups One of the current appeals
of RSS at present is the fact that one can subscribe to an
RSS feed anonymously. They are ensured of receiving only
messages from that person or website (which is hopefully
run by a person) and nothing else. Neither the website
owner or the RSS service knows anything about the
subscriber. This is a good thing and something that will
continue to make RSS valuable.

However, at some point, a more personal RSS option should
appear which allows the subscriber a choice. In the future,
when someone chooses to subscribe to an RSS feed, they will
have the option of sharing personal information with the
publisher, perhaps just their name and a few selected
interests.

They will be glad to do this for two reasons.

1. It will allow the publisher to send only content that
matches their desired interests. (this is actually already
possible but very few take advantage of it)

2. It will allow for private RSS communication between
individuals and groups with all 3 benefits listed above -
embedded media, 100% deliverability, spam-free.

WHAT KILLER-RSS WILL LOOK LIKE

In this new more advanced world, you will have our own
personal RSS address. Not connected to a business or blog
content, just to you personally. Yes, you may be
thinking... "just like my email address".

When someone wants to hear from you, they will go to some
fancy Web 2.0 service and subscribe to your personal RSS
feed. They will sign-up for their own personal RSS feed and
then subscribe to yours, providing you with their name (if
they are a friend) and perhaps their interests if they are
a business contact.

When you want to send them, and only them a message, you'll
open up the fancy wysiwyg editor provided by the cool Web
2.0 service mentioned above, create a message and publish
it.

Sounds like email right? Exactly...

The difference is, you publish the message not to your
public blog but to a private space on the net and to your
friend's RSS reader.

So, your friend checks their RSS reader, sees your name on
their list of subscriptions, notices that you have
published a message to them (and maybe a few other friends)
and either reads the message in their reader or in the
private space online.

So, as this shift occurs, what we are calling Killer-RSS
will be viewed as an upgrade to typical email services with
the added benefits mentioned above.

What do you think, will RSS be the email killer. If not,
how do you see the RSS - email relationship working out?

Why A Work At Home Business Can Work For You

Why A Work At Home Business Can Work For You
It almost boggles the mind how many people are using the
Internet to make money. They are working from the comfort
of their own home running a business online and getting
paid handsomely to do it. We are not talking about people
with special skills either.

In this article we want to talk about why a work at home
business can work for you just like it is working for
people all around the world.

The reason anyone can start a work at home business today
comes down to two things.

1. Products

2. Internet Advertising and Promotion

The Internet makes it possible to find products to sell
online that you could have never found before. Affiliate
marketing is an excellent example of this. Merchants in
almost every industry are looking for people to sell their
products.

Your earn commissions when you make a sale. Amazon.com was
one of the first affiliate programs many years ago paying
people to sell books online. Today you can earn commissions
selling everything from coffee and sporting goods to
information products and music books.

One of the reasons you can make money on the Internet is
because promoting your products online can be done by
virtually anyone. Although this is not as easy as it sounds
anyone with hard work and a little bit of skill can learn
how to do Internet advertising.

Some people choose to master just one method of
advertising. Others prefer taking a more broad approach in
promoting their products online in many various ways. Some
of the ways that you can promote on the Internet today
include.....

1. Traffic exchanges

2. Ezine advertising

3. Classified ads

4. Forum marketing

5. Article marketing

6. Blogging

7. Social directories

8. Social networking

9. E-mail marketing

10. And many more

One way, we didn't mention is pay per click advertising.
This is an extremely effective way you can work at home and
promote just about anything online. Programs such as Google
Adwords make it possible for you to be on page 1 of the
most popular search engine in the world in a matter of
minutes.

You only get billed when people click on ads that you
submit. This becomes an excellent way to start your work at
home business, because you can get targeted traffic to your
site and control how much money you want to spend on
advertising.

This should give you some valid reasons why a work at home
business can work for you. It all comes down to developing
skills and putting in an honest day's work before you will
get paid.
