If you're sick and tired of the latest "Internet marketing"
spin, you're not alone. Just about everyone has something
out about the "newest and best" way to make money on the
Internet with his or her particular marketing method.
But does it work? Not most of it, no.
Of course, if it did work, you'd already have your answers.
You'd be rich and you wouldn't be reading this. So I'm
going to assume that this hasn't happened to you yet.
And I've got a secret for you.
Know what? Marketing is easy. You can find out everything
you need to know about Internet marketing by doing a search
online and plopping down about 27 bucks to get the e-book.
And really, it can be just about any e-book, because most
of them basically repeat the same information over and over.
Guess what? You don't need more Internet marketing
information. Getting distracted by the next offer of
"Internet marketing wisdom" isn't likely to help you
succeed any more than it already has, so let's not even go
there, (unless you want to have your pockets emptied
further). Still interested? Read on.
I'm about to tell you something incredibly eye-opening, so
pay attention. Maybe you'll even want to take notes. Then,
just think about it for a little while.
You don't need more "marketing," you need more "heart."
This is where most people fail. They have all the right
information from all the right people coming at them all at
once, and they've got no idea what to do next. They are
stuck at the beginning of a vicious cycle, an online
disease characterized by the failure to develop one skill
before moving on to another.
Well, I have the answer.
It's not a system , a technique, a plan, an ecourse or a
software program. You can't buy it, sell it, or learn it
from anybody else. It is available to you 24 hours a day, 7
days a week and 365 days a year. There are no
substitutions, exchanges or refunds because it is a little
something I like to call... "More Heart Than Marketing"
Here's how it works:
1) Stop trying to be someone you're not. It's fine to copy
what someone else is doing that is already successful, but
at some point, you have to become a leader, not a follower.
Trust me, you will have to stretch yourself in ways that
might at first be very painful. However, you will never
develop the skills required to succeed if you are not
willing to step outside of your comfort zone.
2) Attract people to yourself by means of integrity,
honesty, and willingness to share. This means not hyping
yourself up or overselling your abilities and marketing
skills. People will naturally be drawn to you if they see
that you are trustworthy and sincere. This is a fundamental
step in building long lasting business relationships.
3) Develop relationships with like-minded individuals. You
cannot accomplish everything you need to do by yourself,
you need help. However, it's not just about bringing in
numbers, it's about interacting with people. Learn to
promote yourself, not your program, to your prospective
audience. Being unique and genuine will draw people to you
that will compliment your strengths and cover your
weaknesses. This is essential to achieving any level of
true success in your business online.
4) Maintain relationships by developing a "give and take"
attitude. I've heard that it is better to give than it is
to receive. Why shouldn't it be great to do both. While
some people are bent on getting everything for themselves,
others quite honestly "suck" at receiving anything. You
absolutely must learn to give and receive freely for your
relationships to thrive, and you must carefully choose
people who are willing to do the same.
Yes, Internet marketing requires skill, time, knowledge and
tons of hard work (in the beginning). But what many fail to
get a hold of is that the core of marketing is really about
developing strong and lasting relationships with people. If
you can see marketing as relationship building, it will
most likely not seem so overwhelming.
So, if you've gotten this far, you probably already know
everything there is to know about increasing traffic,
creating a web site, establishing affiliate links, building
your list, yada...yada...yada.... but, without a heart for
people and a genuine concern for their success, nobody
really cares about your opportunity.
Stop thinking about yourself and start to serve other
people. Once people see you as a "true giver", you won't
even know what to do with all your new sign-ups. Trust me,
marketing from the heart will work better than any other
"method" out there. Besides, it might even make you feel
better about yourself.
