If you have an internet marketing business you already know
it can be a recession proof business. If you do not have
one going yet now is a good time to get one started.
According to many people the United States is heading
towards a recession, or may already be in one. This can be
verified by watching how everyone from the President on
down is reacting.
Even Congress appears ready to work together the pass
legislation that will spur the economy on and give
Americans more money to spend. This makes sense because it
is an election year and no one wants to be the one that
appears to be against this.
In the meantime life goes on. If you have an internet
business you have an excellent chance to continue to make
money for 2 reasons.
1. Depending on what you sell you can make sales all over
the world. This is just one of the many benefits of selling
information online, for example. Instant access products
are great to sell in times of a recession because
regardless of how the economy is in the U.S. there are
people with money all around the world.
2. If you have a product that teaches people how to make
money online now is a good time to start selling it. The
Plugin Profit Site is an excellent example of this. The
target market for this program is new people learning how
to use the internet to make money.
It also works well for experienced internet marketers to
tap into this never ending supply of leads. There will
always be people coming online everyday looking for ways to
make more money. You may as well be the one to try and help
them.
A recession is defined as a decline in business activity
often defined as two consecutive quarters with a real fall
in gross national production. It is interesting in the
United States that it is often not announced until several
months after it has already happened.
So we can already be in the middle, or even at the tail
end, before we are officially determined to be in one. The
average person does not need the U.S government to let them
know they have more month than money, they are behind on
their bills, their house is in foreclosure, that gas prices
are to high, etc.
If you have an internet marketing business that offers
products aimed at teaching people how to make money online
you will begin to see your number of visitors go up. Since
internet marketing is a numbers game, to a certain extent,
theoretically you can make more money during this time.
You still have to convert some of that traffic into sales,
but the more visitors you are getting the more money you
will make even if your website sales copy is poor. So now
is the time to bump up your advertising, write more
articles, frequent more discussion forums, and so on.
One other important point is to pay attention to selling
residual income products and programs. 2 tier affiliate
programs are good because you can earn money on the sales
of the affiliates you recruit. This can go on way beyond
the end of a recession.
Selling membership products and programs are good as well
because you can get paid over and over for making a sale
one time. Network marketing programs are excellent in the
time of a recessions because they attract people from all
walks of life.
You can build a downline that earns you income on the
efforts of thousands of people as your distributorship
grows. The key with any mlm business is to join one that
offer products with unique advantages and is affordable by
the majority of the people considering joining it.
In summary making money during a recession still requires a
lot of hard work. The internet can help you do this, but
you still will have to log on everyday and work at getting
traffic to your website if you want to make sales.
