Indecision can be very costly. It can be the roadblock
that keeps you from realizing your dreams. It can keep you
forever a couch potato who reaches for chips and the remote
instead of pursuing your big dreams of a successful home
business. But how can you be successful?
A home business is rather easily run these days, as most
people have access to a personal computer, printer and a
few other tools. A successful start is within your reach.
Many people already have the spare room or corner that can
be used to set up the space required. Some people already
have a life partner who is willing to help with the
business, or at least keep the kids occupied while work is
being done.
There are scores of great programs in the affiliate
marketing world that stand ready to help you achieve your
goals every step of the way by providing professional
assistance, free websites, worthy products, group support,
advertising, co-ops, artwork, accounting, etc.
Yes, the elements are all there for a successful start of
your business at home. So what is stopping you from
generating the income you need to realize your dreams,
whether they be for a home, education, vacation or just
some extra breathing room when it comes time to pay the
bills? We all have our dreams. Money may not buy
happiness, but it can sure set the stage for it. And if
you can't use the extra cash yourself (and won't send it to
me), how about sharing some extra income with your favorite
charities, political organizations or doing something to
ease world hunger? An animal lover might legitimately want
to start a home business to help fund shelters and pet
adoption centers. There are all sorts of worthy dreams.
(And there are semi-selfish ones like that trip to Tahiti
you've been denying yourself.)
So by now, you should certainly know the "why's" of
starting a home business. That is not the problem. You
are just confronting that old devil "Indecision" which has
held you back so many times. Or perhaps his fellow devil
"Procrastination" has claws deep into you.
How do you turn this situation around? One way is to
believe in your own ability to change your situation. Once
you have sufficient self-esteem and confidence, it's not
hard to take action. Ask yourself where you are right now
in relation to your home business goals? Do you need a
great product? If so, maybe it is time to jump online and
start looking. The internet makes it easy to compare and
contrast a lot of great products and services, and with a
few keystrokes you can also readily track down the
experiences that other home workers have had with a given
program.
Do you lack a website or online presence? That is no
problem. Many programs already offer those, with loads of
free training geared toward newbies.
Do you lack a "warm market" or fear that rich Uncle Harry
will just laugh if you present your new venture to him?
You can relax. A warm market (presenting your offer to
family and friends) is less necessary these days with the
online community than it was in the past. Just get those
early Amway presentations out of your head—affiliate
programs have come a long, long way since those early
ventures with simple multi-level pay plans were touted.
Today it is possible to develop streams of income from a
variety of sources so you don't even need to give your full
attention to one program if you don't want to.
So stop procrastinating. I have full faith and confidence
in your abilities. I know that you are the sort of person
who has a lot to offer in the home business world and stand
ready to be rewarded for it. I know that you have the
drive to start a home business venture if only someone will
give you a little advice here and there or answer a
question or two that come up. You have all it takes to be
a home business marketer. All you need is a little bit of
knowledge and a good program to have a most successful home
based business.
