So you have started an MLM business and now you need to get
the word out. Leads are one way of bringing the proposal to
the masses. Leads can be purchased or self-generated. By
far, the cheapest way is to generate leads yourself. There
are several free methods of generating leads. In addition
to being free of charge, the use of a funded proposal is
highly recommended.
A funded MLM proposal is one where you offer a low cost
solution on the front end and lead the prospect into your
main product (usually higher priced) on the back end. This
serves a dual purpose for the marketer.
First, you get the prospect's information up front in
exchange for the lower priced product. This is your
generated lead and the information is added to your list
data base. Now you can not only promote your main product
but can also market other products to that person.
Second, you convert a sale which means you make a little
cash on the front end. This profit can be used to purchase
leads, advertising or other things you need to promote your
business. Let's face it: you will not be able to
continually grow your business with free methods. So you
need a cash flow to take care of those needs.
Many people use their savings, checking accounts or other
assets usually set aside for living expenses. This can be a
drastic mistake and has led to the downfall of many online
marketing businesses. Don't fall into that pit. Use a
funded proposal set up to raise needed cash.
On another front, let's look at the approach you use.
Certainly, you want the customer to buy your product, but
you do not want to come on so strong with the sales pitch
that you turn them off. This is where you can incorporate a
new idea in marketing called pre-selling.
This is very simple and anyone can do it. The pre-sell
approach first establishes your authority in the field you
are marketing. People want to believe you are an expert.
When they believe this, they will trust you. When they
trust you, they are more apt to purchase from you. Really a
simple concept and very basic.
On the front end, tell them a little about yourself
personally. Establish yourself as a human being just like
them. Give your credentials and tell why you are an expert
in this field. Maybe include how long you have been
involved in Internet marketing. By doing this, you build
trust and credibility with the customer.
This should bring them to giving you their email address,
name and maybe a phone number. Now they have already spent
money with you and they trust you. So when you present your
main product, they already believe in it and will probably
buy it based on what they know about you.
In this case, you have done four things:
1. Established trust and credibility.
2. Established your status as an expert.
3. Gotten a really good, HOT lead that is targeted.
4. Made a little cash.
All this from a funded MLM proposal with a little
pre-selling technique thrown in.
